Can I change the Yosemite system font from Helvetica Neue to Lucida Grand?

I have a hard time seeing the Yosemite font, Helvetica Neue, on my 27 in Apple Thunderbolt Display. This is not a Retina display. Is there a method I can use to change the font to Lucida Grande?

No, but you can make some desktop/folder fonts larger in Finder > View > View Options. Or, in order to make everything larger, go to System Preferences > Displays and change the resolution (take it down a notch) - less crisp, but everything will be a bit larger. If you don't like it, simply revert to the default.

  • How can I change the default pdf reader from the installed (but not yet registered) Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to Adobe Reader XI?

    How can I change the default pdf reader from the installed (but not yet registered) Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to Adobe Reader XI? I'm having some hiccups getting Adobe to register the software, but since I set it as the default .pdf reader during setup, things try (and fail) to open in the as yet unregistered software. How can I change it temporariiy to the Acrobat Reader XI that I have installed?

    Anubha,
    It worked! Thank you so much.
    I'd opened file with the 'Open with' feature then clicking Adobe Reader,
    but that didn't do it. When I used 'Open with', then 'Choose default
    program...', it worked like a charm.
    Again, thank you!

  • How can I change the formate of @today from (MM/dd/yyy) to (dd-MM-yyyy)?

    I am in openscript, using a settext commend - .setText("{{@today(MM/dd/yyyy), 10-02-2011}}}}"); is anyone know how can I change the formate of @today from (MM/dd/yyy) to (dd-MM-yyyy)?
    I went to Java Code tab and tried to use - new SimpleDataFormat("dd-MM-yyyy").format(new Date()); but not successful. Any help will be appreciated.
    Katherine

    Hi,
    you can display the date format in dd-mm-yy by using the below Java code.
    First import the bellow java classes.
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    //and add bellow code in run() function
         //************ Display Date and Time *************
         Date date_format=new Date();
         SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("dd-mm-yyyy");// HH:mm:ss");
         String Exec_Time = dateFormat.format(date_format);
    //output statement
    info("Today's Date: "+Exec_Time);
    I can able to add the screenshot of this output here, so if you need any other information please write to me.

  • How can I change the default templates to from A4 to Letter US?

    Hi,
    I live in Québec, the french part of Canada. Because I use French, iWork think I leave in France, so the default templates are in A4.
    How can I change the default templates to from A4 to Letter US? It seem's impossible. In Pages 06, each language folder had templates. But with Pages 08, it's different.
    Please help.

    Autre façon : Ouvre un nouveau document. Il va être en A4. Dans le menu Fichier--->Format d'impression. Une fenêtre apparaît. Dans la ligne... Taille du papier, tu choisis... Lettre US; tu fais OK.

    No, unless you break something or install the wrong RAM, new RAM is not covered by warranty/AppleCare of course.

    Can I change the Transform measurement default from pixels to inches?
    CS 6 (13.0.1) on Windows 7 64-bit

    We could be talking about different things. I meant the fields in the Options bar when in Transform mode. See screenshot.
    They always default to px for X and Y, and % for W and H, regardless of the units setting in Preferences.

  • Why can I change the callout text font in some documents and not others?

    By experimenting I have determined that some documents that will allow me to add callouts also let me change the text font to a different font or font size.  Other documents that will let me add callouts will not allow me to change the text font. A specific example is that I can add callouts and change the callout's font in pdf's I create by printing from Word, but a datasheet I have from a manufacturer I use will allow me to add callouts but not change the callout font.  Why can't I change the font in callouts I add to the datasheet?  I am using Acrobat 9.5.2.  Thanks for the help.

    Thanks Bob, I didn't think of that, I suppose that would work.  Basically I would just like to have more text sizes to choose from in the drop down menu, I guess its more an issue of laziness on my part than anything else.  I could make a character style for it, but then I'd probably have 10 different character styles just to change the size of my text when it would be less hassle just to type in the size I need.  I was just looking for a quick fix default option that I was used to having at my old job.

  • How can I change the interactive PDF font?

    I'm making a interactive PDF in inDesign (CS6). Problem is, when I export the file in to a interactive PDF, everything looks good except when I  want to type in the text field (interactive) the font is in Times New Roman. I want another font. So my question is, how can I change the (interactive) font? I tried a lot of things, but I can't find the solution.

    @Renzo – in Acrobat Pro you have an option to format the form fields.
    Under the tab "Appearance" there is "Text" with "Font Size:", "Font:" and "Text Color:".

  • How Can I change the default system editor to use it on Eclipse?

    Hi, I want to know something. In Eclipse, when I do the following with a file: Open With -> System Editor, GVIM is opened, and I would want to change this behaviour to another editor.
    How Can I perform this?
    Greetings

    The variables mentioned above initially were empty (without content).
    Any more ideas?
    Greetings
    I'm pretty sure those ENV variables are only used for terminal / console operations, not GUI functionality. I think the confusing issue here, perhaps, was that Eclipse calls the option 'system editor.'
    What it is referring to, instead, is the application set in your file manager for opening a particular file type. For me, it opens Scite, as I have Scite set in Nautilus to open most 'text' types. However, I can change the behavior to open Komodo Edit for *.py files by simply right clicking on any *.py file, selecting 'Properties' and setting the appropriate editor in the 'Open with' tab. Now *.py files open in Komodo in any circumstance, including selecting 'Open wirh > system editor' in Eclipse.
    The procedure will be slightly different depending on your DE / file manager.

  • How can I change the PDAnnot object font?

    Hello All,
    How can I set/change the font for a PDAnnot object?
    Thanks for any help,
    Bob

    I think this question is about the OLE interface, not plug-ins? If so, you cannot. It's a very old interface.
    Maybe it can be done with JavaScript, I don't know the API well enough. But note that the great majority of annotation types do not accept a font; you need to understand exactly what kind of annotation you need (probably with reference to the PDF specification).
    Sounds like a job for a plug-in, but working with custom fonts and annotations even there could turn out to be pretty challenging.

    Trials will run in the system language, Creative Cloud in the one set in teh application manager.
