Can I insert Page Breaks in Acrobat X?
I've got a 1 page scanned document in Acrobat X Pro. I'd like to split it at a point I choose into a 2 page pdf file. Is that possible in Acrobat?
In say Word, I'd just insert a Page Break. I looked for a Page Break In Acrobat but couldn't find one. I did find Pages > Split Document but that splits on pages or bookmarks, so not really relevant to my problem. I could get the scissors out, cut the original piece of paper, and re-scan as 2 pages. But that isn't ideal for the volume I'll be handling in future.
I'm sure the gurus here will know a neat and efficient way of doing this - or know straightaway that it can't be done - or just point me to something really obvious that was there all along but I missed! Thanks for any input.
You cannot treat Acrobat as a word processor. But you can duplicate a page and crop the bottom on one page and the top of the other. The problem is there will be no reflowing of the rest of the document.

In Pages for iPad the arrow that I used to use, which contained line breaks in its drop down box, has disappeared. How can I add line breaks now? Or where has it gone?
I know this is a really small indent example but if you look to the right of "realm of" on the bottom of the 'top right' page there is space where the text in that line is no longer justified. By the way, in these circumstances, I have to click on insert page break twice - the first click does nothing.

Pivot Table, "Insert Page Break After Each Item" Setting Only Works for the First Item Change
I have a flattened pivot table generated from Powerpivot and I would like to insert a page break for each change in the row item.
When I use the pivot table Field Settings>Insert Page Break After Each Item, Excel inserts the first page break then returns to normal pagination for the rest of the output.
Is there another setting required to maintain the page breaks after the item change?

Adobe Acrobat 7: Can not insert pages, changing the document: Not Allowed, but Security Method set t
In Adobe 7, I need to add some pdf pages to the end of a document, but the insert pages (as well as all other items under Document> are greyed out.
On the document properties\ Security> the document restrictions summary says "Changing the Document: Not Allowed", but the Security Method in the drop down above is set to "No Security"
Thanks!If there are form fields, then whoever added them probably used the forms menu, not the Acrobat form fields. Thus the PDF was converted to Designer and you are out of luck. The FORMS button found in various places in Acrobat 7 and latter takes you to Designer, not the Acrobat form tools. The latter are located in the tools menu.

I have Adobe Pro 9 and I can't insert pages into a PDF created by Adobe Pro 8
I've looked at the other discussions about not being able to insert pages into a PDF, and tried all the suggestions, but to no avail. I think the problem is that the original PDF was created in Adobe 8, and I have Adobe 9. When I open the PDF in Adobe Pro 9, the security screen says that editing is not allowed, and the screen is greyed out so that I can't change the settings. When I open the same PDF in Adobe Pro 8, the security screen says "No Security".
I also checked the "Documents" screen in Edit -> Preferences, and changing the "View Documents in PDF/A" to Never doesn't help.
Does anyone have any suggestions?That would be a question for Adobe support. Firefox does advise users when their Acrobat plugin is out of date, but the actual update is done by Adobe.

INSERT 'PAGE BREAK' AT CHANGE IN EACH TOTAL

Does anyone know a way of inserting a page break at each change in a total on a report, so when the report is printed it prints each section (i.e. each time it finds a total) on a separate page.
I also want to print the report title on each page if possible.
The disco. version I am using is 4.1

A 'total' on a report is based on a group item, e.g. By department, region, category, etc.
Make this group item a 'Page item' and you have a separate page for each group.

How can I remove Page Break Views?
This is driving me nuts -- I'm just trying to write basic text, and yet, for some reason, Pages forces me to view a page as if it's a real piece of paper. As I'm writing, and come to the end of the page, there's two inches of white space from the end of the last sentence on the page to the start of the first sentence on the next page.
I find this distracting . . . I'm trying to type a sentence and I don't need to have a massive visual break interrupting the flow of writing. I can't find any way to turn off this view. Not that I want to, but why can't I type one continuous paragraph that could span multiple pages -- without being limited to the freakin' "page" metaphor of viewing?
I'm so frustrated with this that I think I'm going to have to go back to using MS Word. I'm trying hard to learn Pages, but when I have to knuckle down and write, I'm constantly getting interrupted by the page breaks. While I might be able to train myself to ignore the page break, each time I get to the bottom of a page, I effectively lose two inches of vertical space, which means I can't see as much text above and below what I've just written. It's maddening!
Does anyone have any solutions? Or is this just an astounding oversight on the part of Apple development?
I can manually reduce the margins, but I still get the big gray line separating pages at least a vertical inch of separation, plus, if I send the document to anyone else who might want to print it, I have to remember to change the margins back.

Can we implement page break functionality in application server

We are generating a report in apps(AL11) and from there an FTP process bring this report from AL11 to some other legacy system to display this.
Now this legacy sytem is expecting some formating of this from SAP side.
They want a page break after every 24 lines.I'm not sure we can do this in apps(AL11). As per my knowledge we do this page break in SAP output screen only but not in AL11.

Use the below attribute - FORM_FEED from the class - CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES (SE24).
Call the above attibute to give a Page Break after certain lines......

Acrobat simply provides a PDF just like any other printer and the HTML would have to be set to add page breaks on print as you suggest. This would be the same case as if you printed to paper. I am not sure it is possible, but that is what I would look for, not Acrobat options.
