Can I Organize music in Artists and Albums on my MuVo N2

I can only play music on the "root" of my MP3 player (MuVo N200). Can anyone tell me if organizing i possible?
I have discovered a menuitem called "Skip Folder". When I go there, A Root folder i shown, but I can not select anything here. Can anyone tell me what this is about?

You can use MuVo N200 Media explorer, and click the button "Sort Different" or something, and than you can sort ALL your tracks on:
Artist</LI>
Number on CD</LI>
Track Name</LI>
Lenght</LI>
Even the album name, if i'm not wrong</LI>
You can install the explorer from your N200 CD-Rom and download it. You'll have to connect your N200 to the computer, offcource :smileyvery-happy:.
You can sort them with the folders also ofcource, but I think its a lot of work to search for each track the artist, when its written in the info. Than creating folders for EACH artist, and putting them into it... think my Media Explorer works faster.
PS: The Media explorer will put numbers for your MP3 names, but you won't see them while playing back, they are recognised by your player.

"artists and albums" in N8 music player mixes albums with same name from different artists
into one album.
How to reproduce:
1) add "Greatest Hits" album from Blondie and "Greatist Hits" from Black Sabbath
2) refresh library
3) now there's one album "Greatest Hits" from Black Sabbath that contains songs from both Blondie and Black Sabbath albums.

if you run your music through windows music player before installing on phone and find album info in it all the music will display correctly well at least the odd 30 or so albums I have on my phone do , with album art in cover flow !

How can i sort folders by Artists and Albums

Hello.
I'm new to Apple and as much as i would love to use it they make things so dark COMPLICATED transitioning from a Windows where they make everything so simple and clean.
Can anyone please tell me that there IS a way to sort all my music folders by artists, albums, and such.
on windows. if i click on a folder/album it will open up and all the songs of that album will be there and i can sort them by the artist.
Here on apple, these stupid folders can only be sorted by DATE MODIFIED, SIZE, KIND, and such. It is so FRUSRTATING!!
If there is a way to sort my folders the WAY i want to with the numerous options like Windows has available, can someone PLEASE show me.

You're kidding right? Windows makes things easier? You can sort by name in any Finder window, but if you're dealing with Music you should be using iTunes.

Artist and Album Panes in Organizer View of Media Sourc

When I plug in my older Zen Nomad, I see three panes in the organizer view for the player's library (select the player in the Sources pane)?-- the larger track pane to the right, full height, and an artist and album pane in the middle, split vertically. When I plug in my new Zen Vision:M, I only see the single track listing pane when I select the player (or select the Music folder). The artist and album panes are missing. I can't find any way to make them visible. How do I do that?Thanks much,Paul?

Right now, I have have everything installed on my PC?(MediaSource, both plug-ins, and the NOMAD driver). Obviously both devices have their firmware installed. ;-)? Everything is working, except for the inability to browse the Vision:M as a "music library." I had previously updated the NOMAD's firmware to the latest?..0, and I haven't changed it for all this. The Vision:M was already running the latest PlaysForSure?.20.02 firmware when I received it, so I didn't touch that. For the uninstall/reinstall discussed above, I was only changing software on my PC. I'm using MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38. The NOMAD plug-in is the Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox Plugin 5.00.22. The NOMAD driver is the Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver 2.0.00. The Vision:M plug-in is the Creative PlaysForSure Devices Plugin 5.00.36. I tried software both from the Vision:M CD (which installed that horrible web based organizer), and from the downloads section of Creative's support web site (which is what I have installed now). Looking at the compatibility notes for all the software, it doesn't look like I can go back to the older MediaSource 3.30.2 I was using with the NOMAD?and use any available?Vision:M plug-in with it, so I didn't try rolling MediaSource back. It seems from my testing that the PlaysForSure?plug-in/drivers for the Vision:M do not present the device to MediaSource as something that is a "music library" and therefore MediaSource does not browse it with the same interface as it does the NOMAD. As I mentioned, it's already become pretty silly to try and browse just the 20 albums I've loaded so far, when all I can do is navigate to the Music folder and see a list of all the individual tracks. I can't even find a way to browse a list of albums or artists -- all I can do is sort by those columns which has very limited usability. Any ideas or tips appreciated. I'm guessing most people use some other software for managing their Vision:M libraries. What do they use? I had gotten used to MediaSource with the NOMAD and was hoping I could still use it for both. Ipod touch isnt organizing music (artists and albums) and no search bar

my ipod touch stopped organizing the artists and albums in the music application since the last time i synced music... so when i go to music, artists, i see the artists not organized in letters.. it used to organize them, it used to put each artist in a letter section (the letter that the artist's name starts with)
and the search bar on the right side isnt showing up as well
and the same thing is happening with the albums section...
why is that happening and how ??

I need help manually managing music- I only want select artists and albums in bulk

Hi All,
I am currently trying to sync music with a new Ipod (120GB) and am having diffuculty.
What I have done: I have checked the 'Manually manage music' box and am able to select music I want to sync with the Ipod no the 'Music' Page of the Ipod.
What I am trying to do: I have over 400GB of music, so I only want to select certain artists and albums. In this case I am trying to select batches of music to take across to another PC in alphabetical order. In other words, I want to select all Artists and Albums starting with the letters A, B and C.
What I want to know how to avoid: I am currently being forced to click on every single artist and album starting with A, B and C individually which as you can imagine is taking hours!!! I want to be able to select all artists or albums starting at one point and ending at another point, without having to click individually on each and every line item.
Please help! This is going to take me forever!

Enable the sidebar with CTRL+S if not there
Create a playlist with CTRL+N
Go to the Songs view.
Click the heading of the Album column until it reads Album
Select the first track of the first album
Scroll down the list until you see the last track of the last album beginning with C
Hold down shift and click that last track
Drag the selection to the playlist name and let go
Click the heading of the Album column until it reads Album by Artist
Select the first track of the first album
Scroll down the list until you see the last track of the last album beginning with C
Hold down shift and click that last track
Drag the selection to the playlist name and let go, don't copy duplicates
Drag this playlist to the device, or better yet go to automatic syncing and sync the playlist. You can then edit for the next update when the device isn't connected. You can also create additional playlists for stuff you "must have" on the iPod, new stuff etc. Automatic syncing is easier, more powerful, and more selective than manual management.

Unable to delete a folder under Artists and albums...

Hi..Im not able to delete a folder under Artists and albums in the music player. When deleting im getting msg as "File is Corrupted. Operation Cancelled". Can somebody suggest me how to get rid of the folder??

Connect phone to computer with usb cable (select mass storage mode) and try to delete folders using computer's file manager.

Songs appearing as Artists and Albums???

I loaded one CD onto my Video iPod that arrived by mail today and I transferred it to my iPod..
But when I went to look at it..
I clicked into Artists and all the 13 songs appeared under that as if they were Artists..
I clicked Albums and it was the same way.
Nothing separating them.
Instead of having Runway 36 under artists.. it had all their songs instead...
Any reason why?
I went into preferenced and fooled around alittle trying to figure it out and I unchecked something that said, Load songs to Artists and Albums also..
And then I took the songs off and reloaded... and I still have the same problem..
sigh
Can you help me?

+To display all artists in the Artists menu on your iPod, even those who only appear on compilations, remove the ticks against both of the iPod Compilation menu items, i.e.+
+Settings > Main Menu > Music > Compilations+
+Settings > Music Menu > Compilations+
+Cover flow should remain the same, with all compilations albums listed at the right-hand end.+
+To display all artists in the Artists browser column in iTunes turn off the preference to Group compilations when browsing. Provided you have set the Album Artist field the albums should remain grouped together.+

How to access the "Genre", "Artist", and "Album" Panel via COM/script

I thought I posted this a couple of days ago, but checking on "My Posts", it appears I didn't. Oooops
I'm using the COM interface, which is also same as the scripting one.
I'm trying to discover what elements in the iTunes main window have been selected, and thus "highlighted".
The main window appears, to the interface, to be the "BrowserWindow", not to be confused with the View -> Show Browser window. Within this main window, I can identify which Playlist is currently selected, and/or which individual tracks are selected.
But, what I'm trying to do, is also identify if any elements in the View -> Show Browser window are also selected. "Genre", "Artist", and "Album".
Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how do I achieve it.

How to get back artist and album name

I have bought or imported all of my music through itunes. However, when I updated to itunes 10, most of my artist and album information was lost. When I try to get the information, I get the message that itunes cannot get the information for items not purchased or imported through itunes???? How do I fix this?

ITunes 12 sorting artists and albums wrong/out of order

So I'm using iTunes 12, though this problem occurred with 11 too...
As you can see in the image, I'm using Mac DeMarco as an example, it happens with selected other artists too. I have two albums of his, yet they don't appear together and there are multiple instances of the artist. Even the albums don't appear together. Both of them have the same "Artist" and "Album Artist" information.

Here's the second instance. Note, the artist appears amongst the "D" artists, after Deftones for some reason, instead of "M" with the other album:
What is going on? Please help.

Enable the Sort Artist and Sort Album Artist columns, chances are that the fields have been set inconsistently.

I recently moved my itunes library. Itunes deleted a lot of artist and album info and album art. Now it won't let me edit the info to correct it. Any advice on to correct this?

I recently bought a new Asus laptop and moved my itunes to it. All of my files are stored on an external hard drive. In the process of importing my files into itunes on the new laptop, some artist and album info has been deleted. A lot of album art is missing as well. I attempted to correct the missing info, but now itunes won't let me edit any track, artist or album info. Any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it? Thanks.

You can't use your account's balance for gifting, you can only use a credit card - your balance can only be used to buy content for yourself. Until you pay what you owe iTunes then you won't be able to download any items from the store on that account.

Unable to access Music by Artist or Album

So i got my new iPod video today and the video side of things is kickin ***, however i'm havin problems with accessing music from the iPod. When i select artist or album from the music menu all i get is a list of songs and not the info i asked for.
I've just upgraded from a 20GB 4th gen ipod so i know the songs and song info is fine, i'm guessing there might be a bug in the new iPod software. I have itunes 6.0.2 and the 10th Jan update to 1.1 and still no joy.
Any ideas???
Please, nobody post that i need to adjust my Id3 tags in iTunes, they are all pukka. Artist and album are turned on on the ipod and compilations is turned off.

ZEN micro - music library (artist and alb

Hi,
I just got the Micro for xmas and installed the software. I now have two issues. After converting all my iTunes songs into mp3s, the artist and album won't show up. I've right clicked my Folders tab to include the artist and album and it lists on my Details section for view but not in Creative Library...any suggestions?
I have hundreds of songs and going through each and everyone just to add artist and album will take forever.
Second and more importantly: My micro starts up and I'm able to hear the clicks in the touchpad but it won't do anything. It shows 3 demo songs but they won't even play. I connect the USB to the micro and it shows "NEW HArdware detected" then a few minutes later it says, "device not connected" - i'm gonna see if the store i bought it from has any suggestions but figured I would try here as well. Thanks!

. Chances are the converted songs don't have tag data. Use a tagging program to check, and add the required data. There's no real shortcut I'm afraid but a mass tagging program (which most are) should make easier work of it.
2. Sounds odd and like the player is faulty. Can you access the Rescue Mode to see if you can run a disk cleanup? To access the Rescue Mode on the Zen Micro, remove the battery, hold the power switch to the "on" position, reinsert the battery. Choose Disk Cleanup from the menu.

Why doesn't the artist and album name show up on my iPod?

I edit each of my song through "Get Info", so I just simply type in the artist and album name. When I eject my iPod, the artist and album name doesn't show. Solution?

That happened to me too... It's a glitch... what I did is press sync right when i put my ipod in.. sometimes it doesn't work... just do it some other time again...or change someting in the song (getting info) It appears randomly...
