Can I program the E90 ?

I am an ex-Psion user (my 3c, 5 and 5mx still work!!), therefore I used OPL (a lot) to write handy programs (engineering calcs, back-of-pocket algorithms, etc.). On my Imate (PocketPC) and Treo (PalmOS) I installed Basic interpreter and C compiler to help me continue programming.
Are there similar programming software for the E90 ?.
Although I hear Nokia OS is based on Symbian, no chance it will have OPL on it, right? I noticed that the size of the E90 display seems as large as that of the Psion 5mx, which makes it eye-friendly for writing/editing/debugging (at least for simple programs).

You can write Symbian C++ apps, Java (J2ME, Java 2 Micro Edition) apps, Python apps or Flash Lite apps for the E90, at least.
The developer tools, etc., you will find on http://forum.nokia.com
The E90 is based on "S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1", so look for tools for that S60 version.

Also if you actually do it in the control panel then you have the settings you need. But Joel is right - the css is exactly the same as what you see in the control panel.

Can you program the WVC54GCA Wireless-G Web Camera?

I'm using the camera for a school project and was wondering if there's any way of sending the camera commands to carry out basic functions. i.e. Is it possible to send the camera a signal that will shut it off remotely? Is it possible to see the motion detection code?
I've been using C# and Phidget servo motors to develop a remote camera, and it's going pretty well on the servo side, but so far I can't do much more with my application than embed a web browser that opens the video stream from the Linksys site.

To embed a web browser that opens the video stream from the Linksys site you need to write your own code, however you cannot give a command remotely that will shut off your camera...

HT3275 How can I program the Time Machine to backup every 4-6 hours instead of hourly?

My Time Machine backs up every hour and when it occurs my Mac operating speed slows down to a crawl. Is there a way to change the settings so that Time Machine backs up every 4-6 hours or at specific times of the day, e.g. 6AM, Noon and 6PM?

That shouldn't happen, unless you've made lots of changes and have your Mac already pretty well maxed-out. Changing the backup interval is just addressing the symptoms, not the cause.
Check the size of your backups; if they seem much too large considering what you've done since the last backup, see #D4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting for some common culprits, and ways to find out what's actually getting backed-up.
If the sizes seem reasonable, see #2 there for things that may be slowing your backups down.

I would echo BGreg's advice and stick to official Apple refurbished Minis sold through the store.apple.com site. They will have a 1-year warranty and be eligible for AppleCare. And they will have current OSX and iLife software.
The term "refurbished" is often abused by other retailers who apply it to used computers that have been returned by unhappy customers -- but have not actually been fully diagnosed or repaired.
The 1.66 GHz model you list is rather long in the tooth. At least get a Core2Duo model, rather than a CoreDuo.

I have the Phillips 144 Remote. I wish to program one of the Colored bottons at the bottom of the remote by learning from the output of an other remote.
I have a Panasonic TC_P50UT50TV.
Today I successfully programed my Phillips 144 remote for this TV.
There is one TV function that I need. It isn't obvious if it is available already on the Remote. Tried most of the buttons-none seemed to act upon the INPUT control of the TV.
The single function I wish to have on the REMOTE;
To be able to vary the TV's INPUT [such as HDMI 1,HDMI 2,AV1,AV2]
Can I use the colored buttons,? If so, how can I program those buttons by LEARNING from my TV's remote?
If I can't program the colored buttons, is there any other button that I can program for changing the TV's INPUT?

Using Visual Basic 6, can I program the NI6013 to give me an interrupt (VB event) on a periodic basis - say once every 100 microseconds. I'd use the VB timer control, but it doesn't provide either the resolution or accuracy I need. I need to sample some digital inputs that I'll use to control analog acquisition.

Thanks for contacting National Instruments. Are you wanting to trigger an acquisition or output every 100ms or cause a VB Event to occur?
If you want to trigger an acquisition or output every 100ms you can use the counter/timers to generate a pulse every 100ms. This can then be used as a trigger. To do this you will need to change the terminal count of the counter to a lower number, then it will roll over faster. You can configure it to roll over every 100ms.
If you are doing software events then there may not be a more exact way than using the VB timer. In our CVI software package we have something called an asynchronous timer which is basically a software timer just as you are using, but it runs in a different windows thread. Therefore it is not a
ffected or changed when your program runs, it stays very exact (to milliseconds). We don't have any information on this in Visual Basic but it's something you could do some research on if it seems helpful.
If you are still stuck, send me some more info on your application and we can go from there.

Can you program a Slave's Node ID or Zone ID using the USB-8476 as the LIN Master?

I am planning on using the USB-8476 LIN interface as the LIN bus Master in an application. The application would require the USB-8476 (Master) to program a Node ID and Zone ID into a slave device that is on the LIN bus. The slave device is a PIC12F1822 mcu + MCP2021 LIN transceiver. After reading through the User/Software Manual for the USB-8476, it does NOT seem possible to assign an ID to a slave device. It seems like you can only communicate with slaves that already have an ID programmed into their memory. The Node/Zone ID terminology is used by our customer and may not conform exactly to the IDs associated with LIN. I am new to the LIN world, so please let me know if you need more information about what I'm trying to accomplish. Can you program a Slave's Node ID or Zone ID using the USB-8476 as the LIN Master?

No need to respond to this topic. The company that builds the slave device has a communications specification that was recently provided to me. I should be able to use the NI USB-8476 and a call to the ncWrite function (NI-CAN Frame API function) to accomplish my goals.

OneNote recordings "We're sorry, we can't open the file because it is in use by another program."

Constantly, OneNote breaks and screws up my recordings that are synced with my lectures. It is such a fragile process and very frustrating. As soon as I'm done recording, I press stop. When I test the recording, it says, "We're sorry, we can't open
the file because it is in use by another program." I just recorded and then stopped it. If i close and reopen OneNote, it says, "oneNote is cleaning up from the last time it was open." And the recording still says it's in use by another program.
I've even restarted the laptop and it still won't open. The only way i could salvage the file is if I copy and paste it into another folder, and then it will open through windows media player, but all the live syncing with my notes are gone. Where are these
files stored? If I could save the sound and find the file/format that holds the syncing data again, I could work around this. They are no where to be found on my computer. Other forums give locations, but my folders are empty. Some other recordings work and
sync nicely, but I have still lost many recordings to this error. However, if I play a file and then close it without stopping playback, that file, too, will now be unusable. It will be stuck as "We're sorry, we can't open..." no matter what i do
and again i have to copy/paste it into a new folder and then move it back. I had the same problem on my last laptop. I record in Windows Media Audio 10 Professional at 192 kbs, 48 kHz, and stereo CBR. I need the high quality because the lecturer is too quiet.
It seems to happen when I record long lectures, 45 min+. Shorter recordings tend to work fine.
Please help, this would make note taking so much easier.

TS2755 I am trying to find a message from 2012 and when I load previous messages it only goes back so far then the program quits and sends me to the home ( main) screen. How can I find the message and get around this?
