Hi Anil , This can not be achived as selection screen will always be displayed and you will not be able to get the write statement .
You should program your logic in such a way that you can display the message which you want on the selection screen itself.

Hi,
I think the way out is use the dynamic select option while setting up the varinat and use sy-datum to sy-datum+9 which should essentially serve the purpose.
While saving the variant, for that particular date field check the Selection variable checkbox, then Choose D
option and then choose current days + or - option from there.

Can we create serach help for a selection screen field with out creating searchhelp object.
I mean is it possible to create serchelp in the program itself with some specific values i want to give.
E.g say we can define any internal table and fill it with values and using that into selection screen fields

HI,
if it is a normal report program then you can directly create a Selection screen field.
After the Type-pool you can use Parameters or Select-options to create the selection screen field..
If it is a Modulpool program then you can create a selection scren field like
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 1100 AS SUBSCREEN.
PARAMETERS: p1(10) TYPE c.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 1100.
defines a selection screens 1100 as subscreens.
The next screen number of screen 100 is 100 (statically-defined).
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE status_0100.
CALL SUBSCREEN area INCLUDING sy-repid number.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
MODULE cancel AT EXIT-COMMAND.

Hi Abijit,
Whatever changes made in STANDARD SELECETION SCREEN 1000 or screens generated using 'SELECTION-SCREEN' statements, are not permanent.
It will get back to its original appearance, while you execute again or some time later.
Whenever you get into 'CHANGE' mode of these screens, an information will be displayed as follows ;
Selection screen: Report generation makes screen
changes ineffective

i have a Selection-Screen with two Parameters. Both Parameters should be have an Title.
But how can I set a Title two this Parameters? Is there existing any options????
For example, the Parameters "I_WRBTR" and "I_NBDOCS" needs two Title´s.
Every Parameter must have a title, but how can I realize this???

Example for the same is :

Selection screen in module pool programming..

hi,
I designed some screen elements for KUNNR and MATNR and handled their value selection thru POV request.
I want to select data from my table using these values. Will a simple select statement with AND condition on these values work ? I doubt as even if the user does not enter value for one of these, my select is giong to fail. for e.g. he enters value for KUNNR but not for MATNR.
If that is so then shud i need to design a screen which must display select options like for KUNNR, MATNR etc ? if yes then the value that is displayed there when user selects F4 must be controlled by me. how to design this in module pool ?? where to write statements related to selection screen definition and how to handle its selection ?

You can use the COMMENT statement to display some text on the selection screen. And let the COMMENT has a MODIF ID, and you can enable/disable in the event AT SELECTION SCREEN OUTPUT.

Triggering a Top-of- Page without a WRITE statement

TOP-OF-PAGE event is fired only when it encounters the first Write statement in the report.
Q)Is there any way to trigger this event,without having a write statement in the program??
A)The answer is yes.If you write a SKIP statement in the SELECTION-SCREEN,then your TOP-OF-PAGE event would fire.

Top-of-page gets triggered if we write something on output screen.
Though we write SKIP in selection-screen, 2 lines gets skipped after printing the statement "top of page triggered" in the example below. After 2 lines "start of selection triggered" gets printed.

parameters : p_para type c.
skip 2.
selection-screen end of block b1.
start-of-selection.
write :/ 'in start of selection'.
top-of page.
write :/ 'top of page triggered'.

Attribute can be a field for selection screen

For 0employee i have made a attribute as organization unit in a report,so org unit is attribute for 0employee and now my requirement is that i want that organization unit to be in selection screen for Bex reporting so that the user can choose the org unit from the selection screen only.

If you need to include organization unit, which is a attribute of 0employee, in you report, you need to perform the below steps.
1. In the 0EMPLOYEE characteristic Attribute tab, make organization unit as a Navigational attribute.
2. In the InfoProviders on which the query is created, you need to select organization unit as a navigational attribute.
3. If your report is created on a multiprovider, you need to select organization unit as a navigational attribute in Multiprovider also and create assignment for it.
ex: If your report is based on a multiprovider, which is created on a Cube and cube has a ODS below it, you need to perform above steps at all levels.
You will now be able to see the organization unit as a characteristic in report, just pull it and create a variable.
