Can limit my users to one connection or even 2 on the database per username

Our end-users access our database via a Jave based form front end after installing JInitiator on the PC
Does anyone know if there Is anyway i can limit my users to one connection or even 2 on the database per username.
Could i also have timeout on each session on idle time in order that when the connection is idle for say 10 minutes the users session is automatically logged off the db.
Any helpp will be appriciated.

Yes, you can.
This is a special feature of the AirPort Express 802.11n. You will have to set it up "manually" to "enable Ethernet clients".
If your "main" AirPort Express is an 802.11n version, it is also possible to setup the second Express to "extend a wireless network" to provide additional wireless coverage in addtion to enabling the Ethernet port.
If you need the steps, post back to let us know what operating system you are using on the Mac or PC that will be used for the setup of the new AirPort Express.

Can I copy clips from one project to another? The clips are still frames captured within a video event.

Can I copy clips from one project to another? The clips are frames saved as stills from a video event. I try the copy & paste but it does not seem to work.

The video was converted into MP4 and then I could get it into iMovie events. I had right clicked and saved farmes as stills. ABout 50 of them, When I tried to copy and paste those stills into another project I couldn't. They came up blank.
I ended up going to a Genius appointment at my APPLE store this afternoon and was told that those "stills" aren't really anything. Not a .jpg or video, so the program doesn't recognize them. So instead I'm using the Project with the 50 stills and copying other .jpgs and video into it. (This is for a 1961 Class Reunion, so it's old stuff). Seems to work so far.
So bottom line seems to be I can use these stills created from a video in the project in which they were created, but no where else. Do you know a way around this?

As long as the profiles are different (ex. HID vs AD2P) you will not have any issues. But say if you try to use 2 keyboards at once, it won't work. Or 2 headsets at once. Your scenario seems fine.

Simplest way is to use Target Disk mode:
How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode - Apple Support
and hook to another Mac and use CCC or SuperDuper and clone your HD to another drive.
You could also pull the drive out of your MBP and use an external USB case or SATA - USB dongle to hook it to another Mac.

If home sharing is setup and you have an IOS device that is on the same network you can download the remote app. Otherwise, you will need to purchase a new remote.

Since upgrading to Lion OS, the wifi connectivity keeps blocking up intermittently and we need to manually keep switching on and off the wifi utility to get the connection back. even locking the preferred wifi network in system preferences does not help.

This is a big thank you to Rys Sinnefeldt who posted this fix.
Rys has made this fix very easy to do and takes literally 2 mins. It involves replacing the Atheros Lion driver 4.0 and replacing it with the snow leopard driver. Don't worry, Rys has made this so simple to do even I could do it and so far I have had no more wifi drops.

I think I would like to separate the audio and video publishing and playing so that I can fine tune permissions (e.g. publish audio but not video to some users but not others).
Equally, are there issues with publishing two separate NetStreams on the same p2p connection?
Initially I thought this would be possible, but I am having problems playing streams when connecting users on different ip addresses.

You can play or publish as many streams as you wish on the same connection. Just mind the bandwidth.
However, publishing audio and video on different streams may not be a good idea as they're sure to be out of sync.
To save bandwidth and play only the audio of an audio/video stream set NetStream's receiveVideo to false.
Or, in your fine-tuned permissions scenario, you can publish one stream with audio only and one with audio/video. A little redundant but audio datarate is small and may be worth it.

Yes, but you will want to think it through before you do it.
The computer will become the "master" device, holding the definitive collection of music, photos, contacts, etc., and each iPad or iPhone will get a copy of what's on the computer. So if everyone has different collections of music or photos that you all want to keep separate from each other, you'll want to set up different accounts on the MacBook Pro. To do that, go into "System Preferences" and click "Users", then click the "+" to create a new account for each person who needs their own set of files.
That way you can each log in to your own MacBook account before you sync your iPhone or iPad, and everyone has their own copy of iTunes and their own iPhoto. If you happen to plug in an iPhone while logged into someone else's account, you just click "don't sync" (the 1st time only, it will remember after that). Sharing the same files becomes tricky, so this is only the best method if you want to keep things 100% separate.
On the other hand, if you all have your music and photos mishmashed together on the MacBook anyway or just don't care about keeping things separate, just go ahead and sync your iPhones and iPads without setting up new accounts. But in this case, you should create playlists and photo albums in iTunes and iPhoto. Then plug in an iPhone, click on it's icon in iTunes, and change the settings for Music, Photos, etc to only sync the playlists that you want on that device. Repeat for each one. They'll all remember their own settings, and continue to sync with their designated playlists or albums.
What you cannot do is use more than one computer with a single iPhone. That will wipe out the music and photos that were on it already, replacing them with the ones on the second computer.
