Can multiple users complete a form on a company server concurrently?

I would like to be able to create forms and distribute them via SharePoint but allow multiple users to complete the forms at the same time.  Is this possible or can a form only be completed by a single individual at a time?

How were you planning to submit/process the form data? Most methods would be fine because they do not touch the original, which can have unlimited read-only copies.

This is not something we currently support but you can add or vote on feature ideas:

  • Multiple users of single forms

    Hi,
I have a situation whereby I'd like to be able to have multiple users haveing input to a single form. This is to establish a type of jobcard system.
    e.g.
A form is distributed out to a number of people, they complete a certain section, the forms are then submitted ie returned to the distributor, from here they can be forwarded onto someone else who will compete aditional information onto the form and again submit it.
The coordinator can then review the form data and then forward or save the forms off.
This is likely to be from a PC to PC in the first instance and PC to tablet in the second, ideally with the ability to add photographs.
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
WIth FormsCentral, you can share a single form with multiple users as Co-Authors. Your shared user will have right to edit/modify/save the form at anytime.
Now, your shared users will need to create (free or paid) accounts in FormsCentral to be able to collaborate on the form.
Please take a look a this FormsCentral tutorial, Share and collaborate section: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1413
    Thanks,

  • How can multiple users edit and access same ACCESS file

    Hello,
We have 2 access files and multiple users needs to edit and access those files.
How can I enable mulitple access but only one user can edit rest of users are in read-only mode for one file and multiple access and edit on the another file.

    Hi,
You should split your database in a front and backend. Then create two seperate front ends which you can distribute. If you need readonly you can opt for two options, setting the attributes of the file to read only or create a front end with read only forms.
The last one takes a little more work but is safer than setting the attributes to read only because people can change that back themselfs.

once master and work repository has been created on a system.U just need to know all the information supplied wen creating a login to designer.
like user name and password of database, url, driver as well as master's repository uname and password.
if u have the following information with you, then u can create a new login with designer provided all the above information and u will have full access to designer
in work repository u want to connect

  • How can multiple users from different locations access my Muse website files to update them?

We're a team, and we need to be able to work together remotely.
How can I let another user (on the East Coast - I'm on the West coast) have access to my Muse website files so that they can work on them and make changes - but I can also work on them here?
I've already made them an Admin in the Manage section of the live Muse website that is hosted on Business Catalyst.
BTW, they also belong to Creative Cloud.
    Thanks!

You need to share your .muse file with this other person.
Muse does not currently support multiple users opening the same .muse file at the same time.
There's lots of options for sharing a file - you could copy it up to a company network server, or email the file back and forth, or use a filesharing service like Dropbox, SendThisFile, Adobe SendNow, or Creative cloud sync, among others.
Which one is right for you depends on the size of your file, how often you're sending the file back and forth, and personal preferences
Whatever you choose, it's important that you DO NOT have 2 users working on the same .muse file at the same time. This can cause corruption of your .muse file. I'd also recommend frequent backups of your .muse file, as you might find that one of you clobbers a change made by the other and you want to be able to go back to your old copy of your .muse file to copy/paste some content to your latest copy of your .muse file.

  • How can multiple users share a catalog?

PSE 5 - We have multiple users sign on to the same PC.  The catalog is created on a network drive that all have access to.  Photos added to the catalog by one user are not accessible by another user.  Is the catalog profile-dependant?  Is there some setting I am missing?

The users can open the photos directly in Windows Picture Viewer but, for some users, the catalog looks empty in Photoshop Elements.
    1. Verify that each account is indeed loading the same catalog.  Do Help > System Info within the PSE Organizer to verify the catalog name and location is identical.   Perhaps one or more the accounts is opening another default (empty) catalog.
    2. Ensure the Organizer is showing you all the files:
    a. In View > Media Types, check all the types.
    b. In the Organize pane on the right, check Hidden to see if any of the cataloged photos are marked "hidden".
    c. Do Fine > Clear Date Range.
    d. If Back To All Photos is showing in the upper right, click it.

  • How can multiple users use the same Creative Cloud Individual on one single-machine?

We have one shared graphics workstation, which is infrequently in use by different people - therefore we bought a single-workstation license (which we were referred to "Creative Cloud Individual"). In the FAQs it says it installs locally, but whenever a user different from the installing adminstrator logs in, he is forced to use the trial.
Is there a way to make the local installation usable on that single machine for multiple users?
Thanks in advance for your reply

Serenatasystems do the other users not have administrator access?  What happens if they sign in using the Adobe ID tied to your Creative Cloud subscription?  Do your Adobe Creative applications then exit trial mode?

  • Can multiple users share Aperture Library over network

I'm considering moving over to Aperture because iPhoto is starting to show the strain under the number of RAW pictures I'm uploading. My current iPhoto library is stored on my NAS and is shared between my RMBP and MacMini. If I make the transition over to Aperture will I be able to have the same set-up?
    Thanks
    VP

iPhoto is starting to show the strain under the number of RAW pictures I'm uploading.
What do you consider to be a "strain"?
Poor response time? I suspect, that will be more due to the network access on a NAS than to the library size.
You might try to put your Aperture 3 library on a NAS, but it is not recommended by Apple, see:
Use locally mounted Mac OS X Extended volumes for your Aperture library
    You will have to ensure,
that you do not open the Library from both your Macs at the same time,
and you will have to ensure, that the library is only on a disk formatted "Mac OS X Extended". SInce your NAS has a different formatting, put the Aperture library onto a disk image on the NAS. You will have to mount this disk image, before you access the library, like recommended here for iPhoto, see: iPhoto: Sharing libraries among multiple users  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1198
But as I said, if poor performance should be your main reason for switching from iPhoto to Aperture, you will not gain much, if you keep the library on a network attached volume, unless you have a very fast network connection.
The best performance you get in Aperture with the library on the fasted drive you have. I keep my Aperture library on the internal SSD and the original master image files (the bulk of the data) on a second internal drive.

  • How can multiple users manage the same forms?

We are looking to purchase FormsCenral however after read this FAQ on teams we are confused:
    http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2903#Q3
How do we manage forms if more than one user needs to make changes to the same forms?

You would have a primary user/e-mail address attached to your FormsCentral account, and you can assign multiple co-authors to any of your forms. They would need to each have a free Adobe ID.
I work in a Higher Education setting, and have co-workers and Graduate Assistants who are co-authors on forms I've produced, so they can each edit and/or view the submitted response tables.
    I hope that helps,
    Brian

  • Can multiple users edit a draft page

I have a client that is considering using Contribute to
update their web site, but they need the capablility for multiple
authors to edit the content of a page and then submit it for review
before it is published. Can this be done with Contribute by using a
draft page which can be edited by several users and then reviewed
by the website administrator before it is published live?
    Thanks,

  • How can recipients submit completed PDF forms using a MAC?

We have created fillable PDF forms using LiveCycle Designer 8.0.  They include
submit buttons that are set to submit the completed forms as PDFs.  Rights have been extended for Adobe Reader users.  They work great when the recipient is using a PC, but when they are using a MAC we have a number of problems:
    1) the Print and Submit buttons do not work
    2) when the recipient saves and e-mails the file manually, the data they entered is only visible when you click on that field
Help!  How can our MAC recipients submit their completed form as a PDF that displays all of the data!
    Thanks!

Thanks Niall.  This information proved really helpful in confirming the problem.  We ran some tests and the problem does seem to only occur when MAC recipients are using Preview.
We recieved this link from Adobe, which provides a solution if you have access to all the recipients:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfdevjunkie/script_to_fix_mac_osx_previewa.html
Thanks to Niall and Paul for all your help!

  • Can multiple users access apps purchased from another Apple ID account?

I have several iMacs under my control. I need to find a way to download iLife using one Apple ID, so I can have all users on each machine to also have access to the updated iLife suite.
Is it possible for other users to access an app that was purchased from another Apple ID. If one purchases an app, does the machine allow access to all the users?
(I know those two last sentences are redundant, but I want to make sure everyone understands problem).
I've read countless articles on this, and can't seem to catch a break from the problem.

If this is in a school of some type or a corporate learning center with multipple Mac computers you should contact Apple directly and ask them for help in getting a version that can be installed on multiple Mac with out have to down the updates to each computer individually.

  • How can multiple users spool to same file?

I am using SQL*plus for 10g db. I am spooling query output to a file. Query should be run and spooled multiple times overwriting previous output.
here is the main piece from the query.sql file
    SPOOL output.txt
    SELECT....
    SPOOL OFF
Let's say user Dan runs this query for the first time. An output.txt is created. Dan can run the query multiple times and each time new data is spooled to output.txt. Now Mike is trying to run this query. Nothing happens!
I thought the issue has to be with file permissions. However, the issue remained after I gave ALL permissions (a=rwx) to both files: query.sql & output.txt. Funny thing is that I created query.sql and now I (or any other users, except Dan) cannot run it.
    Thank you!
