    where ejb?Its not required to set any environment variable for EJB development with JBuilder6. If you are not using any of the JBuilder wizards for creating EJB's, then you need to add your JAR files through 'required libraries'.

  • Can't find javax.ejb

    Our instructor has given us a sample program that demonstrates ejbs.
    I could get it to run on the school computer but when I try at home I get the error:
    C:\includeEJB>c:\Java\bin\javac @HelloEJBOptions @HelloEJBclasses
    HelloEJB\ejb\Hello.java:13: package javax.ejb does not exist
    public interface Hello extends javax.ejb.EJBObject
    ^
    The instructor has us compile the code with the following batch file:
    :: Compiling EJB code
    c:\Java\bin\javac @HelloEJBoptions @HelloEJBclasses
    :: creating the JAR file
    cd HelloEJB
    c:\Java\bin\jar -cf  ..\Hello\HelloEJB.jar *
    cd ..
    :: Compiling Web code
    c:\Java\bin\javac @HelloWeboptions @HelloWebclasses
    :: creating the WAR file
    cd HelloWeb\web
    c:\Java\bin\jar -cf  ..\..\Hello\HelloWeb.war *
    :: creating the EAR file
    cd ..\..\Hello
    c:\Java\bin\jar -cf  ..\Hello.ear *
    cd ..
    pauseI believe the school computer uses j2se sdk 1.4.2 and that's what I have installed on my computer.
    I believe the error I am getting is saying that the compiler can't find the javax.ejb class. Is this a correct assumption?
    If so, why? Do I have the wrong java version? Does it have to do with the classpath? I am at a loss and have tried downloading j2se sdk 1.5 and j2ee sdk 1.4 and still get the same error.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I am still trying to find the package javax.ejb. Can anyone please explain what directory I would find this package. I can find the javax directory but I don't see the ejb package included. Should it be listed where I can see it,, or is it something that is down in the directory further? If it should be present in the javax package and I'm not seeing it, can I download just that package from somewhere?
    Thanks in advance for any help. I'm sure that I'm doing something basic wrong so please don't be afraid to give me the most basic help. I have tried downloading J2SE SDK 1.4.2, J2SE SDK 1.5, and J2EE SDK 1.4 and always get the error saying the compiler can' find javax.ejb.
    I'm almost positive the code is fine because it ran on the school computer, but I'm still not ruling that out.

  • J2EE setup - Can't find javax.ejb.EJBObject

    I am running my first client side program and the below error is being returned:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:javax/ejb/EJBObject.
    I am guessing that my classpath to find
    javax.ejb.EJBObject is not setup properly. Does
    anyone know how it should be set. I am using J2EE.

    Apparently there is a better solution from previous post:
    classpath=.;..;c:\jdkee1.3\lib\j2ee.jar;
    If you specify a directory, Java will search for class files in that directory; if you specify an archive (zip or jar) Java will search for class files in the archive. The class files you need reside in the two archives c:\jdk1.3\lib\rt.jar and c:\jdkee1.3\lib\j2ee.jar.

  • Can not find size_t during import a dll and calling a function crash labview

    Hello, experts
    I need to use FingerLakeInstrument  DLL ( see the attached) inside Labview to talk to a CCD camera. it is built from microsoft visual studio C++
    I unzip FLI dll in my D:\proj\...\linfli-32 and import dll from there. created a c:\FLIDBG.txt as FLI dll needs to write debug message to it if FLISetDebugLevel() or others are called.
    During importing the dll, first thing I got is <sys/types.h>  ( ie size_t ) cannot be found. I have installed free version of microsoft visual studio C++
    but can not find "typedef unsigned int size_t"
    at the end, I just added
     typedef unsigned int size_t;
    in the libfli.h. Having done that, I am able to import all functions into Labview and have a user library called libfli.
    However, as soon as I start calling a simple function in a test.vi, such as FLIGetLibVersion(char* ver, size_t len), which involves nothing other than the library, the labview will crash.
    I created a simple C test.exe which calls many functions without any problem
    any suggstion?

    Hi, Smercurio_fc
    thanks for your reply. Yes, you are pointing to the right place.  I have solved the crash problem.
    when importing DLL into Labview using Tools\import\Shared Library (.dll), Labview automatically set the calling convention as C not as stdcall (WINAPI).  it is this that later the labview crashes when a function is called.  as soon as I manually re-selecte calling convention as stdcall, my test.vi works OK (see attached).
    I tried Call Library Function too to call libfli.dll, as long as I select stdcall as call convetion. the test.vi works.
    How do I know which Call convention I need to choose if  there is no infomation from DLL provider?
    as for the size_t,
    I add   #include <crtdefs.h> in libfli.h and
     add additional include path as
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\include.  this  solved the "not found" issue.
    for this case I know that the DLL is built from VC++,  is this right way?
    again, thanks for your time.

  • Weblogic not finding javax.naming classes when instantiating bean

    Hello,
              I am developing a JSP which contains a JavaBean.
              This bean is a wrapper for a session EJB, the getProperty() methods in
              the bean call methods on the EJB's remote interface.
              I have tested this bean as a stand alone application by adding a
              main(String[] args) method to it and it works.
              However, when adding the bean to the JSP, the JSP does not show in the

              It seems that Weblogic is not finding the javax.naming.NamingException

              yes, weblogicaux.jar is definitely in the weblogic.class.path. i've even tried starting the server from the command line, declaring the classes there. my "trade.xml" document has the URI set as "http://localhost:7001/BizTalkServer". when i enter this on the "BizClient.jsp" form, i get the error discussed below. however, if i enter "http://localhost:7001", even though this is not the explicit location of the BizTalk server, the server returns:
              Thank you! Your trade has been recieved. A BizTalk document has been sent to http://localhost:7001/ with the following information: etc...............
              So there appears to be something wrong with the "/BizTalkServer" setup on my machine. Any ideas?

  • Can not find my EJB's from my Servlet

    Hi
    I am new to EJB and am trying to get a Servlet to call some sessionless EJB beans. I have got it working in JDeveloper but when I deploy it to orion application server I keep getting a javax.naming.NameNotFoundException exception throw from the Servlet when it tries to find the first EJB.
    The code in the Servlet is:
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "admin");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "jewels");

    I have been trying for a while to get the JNDI naming right but everything I try gets the above error. Any help would be great.
    Thanks
    Andre

    You have to lookup for "ExponentMappingService", and not "ExponentMappingServiceHome"
    The name you give in the <ejb-name> tag in ejb-jar.xml is the JNDI name of the EJB. This is the name u have to look up.

    The battery would be dead by now
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone.
    You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account and restarting your router.
    Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

    Hi I need some help, i recently bought a Macbook Pro, so good with that but when storing my files I realized I had sent more files, I deleted my files and it took me hours! and when checking the status of storage I realized I had more 20GB hard drive and I can not find that data stored anywhere! and i made the securely empty.
    P.S. I had a small problem when cleaned the trash, I stopped for lack of time but when i stop it, I realized I had nothing inside then... (should leave something at least, because it was an incomplete process.)
    (here says that i have 40.54 GB from other stuff, and i'm just using like 13Gb of my data) its in spanish by the way... sorry for that.
    Thanks for your patience!
