Can not upload anything when Finder window pops up on Mavericks
Running Mavericks here and just can not upload anything anymore on Facebook for example, it also happens on other webpages too where the finder window pops up to select a file to upload. The browser freezes and I have to force quit it, tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox... all the same, this leads me to believe it's a Finde issue. Don't know what to do! Bellow the crash report:

I have the same issue and found it was specific to uploading something from My Desktop. I finally found this article which helped but when I completely quit Firefox i continue to get the error. I then go back in, double-click to toggle from false to true again, quit Firefox and the problem goes away again. I do not understand anything further to this problem and do not want to continue to repeat this process every time I quite Firefox. Any suggestions or other help?

Can not refresh contents of finder windows
I can not get my finder windows to refresh their contents. My picture folder is the one that really bothers me. When I am trying to upload pictures to the internet, the picture folder is never accurate. I have tried the refresh finder apple script, restarting the computer, opening and closing the window, nothing seems to work.

Hmmm, are you saying something is moving them? Or the Finder isn't opening them to the right folder?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more.
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions...
Move this file to the desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
reboot when it completes. -
Can not drag anything in finder to desktop, itunes, ect.?
While the finder window is open I continue to try and drag any of the icons in there to either my desktop or my itunes. I am trying to move some music I have in my finder on to my itunes library and I can not drag or even move any of the icons for some odd reason. Any help with this? Thanks
I had a similar problem but worse in that I couldn't drag anything anywhere in Safari 5.1.2. Even drag in the "Customize Toolbar" dialog did not work.
I switched off extensions, quite Safari and restared. The problem cleared and has remained clear after several launches of Safari.
I only had ClickToFlash and ClickToDevonThink installed. -

When you purchased your laptop you were granted to evaluate m office for 3 month, it was a trial version. Now you have to buy it if you want to use it again. You can use Open Office:

New Document is one click in the lower left of the opening window! You could write an AppleScript to avoid that one click, but that may not be worth the candle.
Note that after that one click you can save an additional click by specifying 'Use template:<your chosen template>' instead of 'Show Template Chooser' in Numbers > Preferences > General.

Everything works great with Internet Explore So I know the problem is FFox. Going on for about 2 weeks now. For example trying to make a calendar with shutterfly. Once I click on upload, to find my photos I get a blank page, Banking site, click on the a check # was able to see the pd check front & back now all I get is a blank page. Can not open anything within a site. Already made sure Java & Adobe Flash is up to date.

I was struggling with this since my latest Itunes update. Fiirst it would not recognize my IPad as a device, after correcting that, it would list the Ipad in my device but my Sync had no options (summry, info, etc). and it kept saying it was "Accessing Itunes store". reading your question I suddently tried deleting the itunes task (alt-ctrl, delete, processes) and delete Itunes. (By the way, I had rebooted my computer several times over the last few days). I opened up Itunes, and voila. Device is there. No "accessing windows" and my sync has the normal options.

If it were me, I'd get a new hard drive or SSD and put it in an external enclosure. Boot into the recovery partition, format the new drive (not the old one) and install the OS to it. Shut down the Mac, open it up, and swap the drives. You may be able to read your data from the old one externally if you're lucky. If you're very lucky you may be able to use Migration Assistant to move all your stuff to the new drive.
Look at ifixit.com for the exact procedure to get to the drive on your model. If it's a unibody it's pretty simple.

You'll have to connect it to wifi so you can sign in with your password to authenticate the account. If the pop-up is blocking you, try resetting the iPad (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release). As soon as you can after it restarts, go to Settings>Wifi and connect to your home network before the pop-up comes back.

I was online checking for flights when a window popped up on my screen saying my computer had been infected by 3 viruses: Backdoor, Adware, and Malware. Does Mac automatically send out this alert? The pop up has a "cleanup button", and is asking me to register some antivirus to enable a full cleanup. Is this really from Mac/Apple or from some entity trying to gain further entrance to my data? Can't seem to get assistance from Apple until 6 am. I am not computer savvy. PLEASE ADVISE!!!
Do not ignore this... it's malware, not a virus. Even if you didn't click on anything, make sure your Mac is free of malware.

Can not upload image of larger size in jsf
i had some issues in file uploading. File uploading is working fine in my local machine and when i am using the www.mywebsite.com:8080/fileUpload.jsf
