Even though it currently says it's for version 11.1.4.62, the following user tip should also work for an 11.1.5.5:

I just got the new itunes and I can open itunes and see my music but whenI try and go to the itunes store it just loads to a white page. I try and refresh and go to the home page and nothing happens. I can sign into my account and the tabs for the itunes store pop up like they normally would when browsing the itunes store but when I click on one of them, it is a blank page. Is there a setting I need to change? Does it just take an extremely long time to load? Please help!!

I'm having the exact same problem.  I upgraded to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and ever since I did the store is a blank white screen.  I can get my library content but the store is a no go.  Is there any one out there with a solution?

  • Error - iTunes Library .iti file is locked on a disk or you do not have permission for this file. I can open itunes in the compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3 ???

In Windows 8 I received the error iTunes Library .iti file is locked on a disk or you do not have permission for this file. I can open itunes in the compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3.
I've tried changing permissions and sharing - nothing seems to work. mat be a Windows 8 issue???

You also need to make sure you have both read and write permission for the file, or for the whole iTunes folder for that matter.  That's also done in Get Info for the file or folder concerned.
Read the part about changing permissions on the iTunes folder in: https://discussions.apple.com/message/11583914

    Hi BarbiJ,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  I would recommend rebuilding the iPhoto library per this article:
iPhoto 6 and later: Rebuilding the iPhoto library
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2638
    To rebuild the iPhoto library:
Quit iPhoto if it is open.
Hold down the Command and Option keys on the keyboard.
    Open iPhoto.
Keep the keys held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library.
A dialog will appear with rebuild options. Select the options you want to use.
Click Rebuild to begin the rebuild process. This may take a few minutes to complete.
    Cheers,
    - Ari

  • I can open itunes but then it does not respond

I can open itunes and it opens right up.  Then i get the blue loading circle for like 5 minutes then after it just freezes.  It doesent respond to being clicked on in the taskbar or clicking a song.  It doesent crash its just not responsive? I have windows 7.  Also i signed in on another account and it worked just fine just had no music on it.  I tried reinstalling it already and nothing happened or changed.

Try starting iTunes in safe mode by holding down CTRL+SHIFT immediately after clicking the icon to launch iTunes and continuing to hold until this message pops up:
Click continue, then close iTunes and reopen. With luck iTunes now opens normally every time.

  • My iTunes won't update on my computer. I have windows vista. I can open iTunes and when I click "check for updates" it asks if I want to update to iTunes 11.1.5 and I click "Download iTunes" but then nothing happens. What's wrong?

My iTunes won't update on my computer. I have windows vista. I can open up itunes and when I click on "check for updates" it asks if I want to download iTunes version 11.1.5 and I click "Download iTunes" but then nothing happens. Sometimes uptop the loading bar will appear but for only a split second. I have tried restarting, shutting down, I cannot figure out why it won't download. What's happening and how do I fix it?

Try updating using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

  • I can open iTunes at first, but when I close it and try to launch it again, it won't open

Hi, I'm using a Windows 7 64-bit.  When I first startup my computer, I can launch iTunes perfectly fine. But when I close iTunes and try to open it again, it just won't open. I have the most current iTunes installed. I have tried repairing it and reinstalling it but with no avail.  Anybody have any suggestions?

Alright it looks like we're not the only ones having this issue. It seems like the recent iCloud update is giving window users problems. The solution is to go to task manager, click on the Processes tab, then look for APSDaemon.exe*32 the right click and end process. Then try restarting your iTunes and it should open.
Or if this really annoys you, then just go to control panel and remove iCloud.

Itunes freezes as soon as it opens.  I can't download podcasts at all.

  • How do I bypass my computers DEP, so I can open itunes?

Everytime i try to access itunes, my computer says it's not available in my country. Aterwards when I close itunes, my computer messeages me saying the DEP has prevented it from opening. I've tried going into the DEP settings on my computer and tried to make the system allow access to itunes without the monitoring of DEP; but to no avail. It will not let me turn off DEP for itunes. I need help ASAP. Is there another way around this DEP problem?

    Hi,
What do I do to wipe them clean?
If you wish to recycle the computers by giving them away, and if you can find appropriate system CDs or a Disk Tools floppy, you could use Drive Setup. Start the computer from a system disc or from a Disk Tools floppy. Locate the Drive Setup utility. Look for a Functions menu. Choose Initialization Options and then check "Zero all data".
If necessary, Disk Tools PPC (here) can be downloaded. Disk Copy 6.3.3 (the Make a Floppy command) is used to create a bootable floppy.
Do I just put everything that's personal into the trash and empty it?
No, that is not sufficient. Only the directory entries are deleted this way. As you already indicated, the contents can be easily retrieved. One should always overwrite the "emptied" space. If a dedicated utility for this (such as Wipe Info from Norton Utilities, or the freeware program Burn 2.5) is not available, one could duplicate a single large (not personal) file until the hard disk is full.

  • I can open itunes but it won't let me access the store or do anything??

I've downloaded itunes numerous times, deleting everything apple related and so on and so forth and then reinstalling and I still can't access itunes or safari properly. The programs open but won't allow me to do anything such as look at the itunes store or sync my phone..

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • I have windows vista  and can open itunes but cannot access store anymore it tries but stops like it's stuck no message comes up .I would be grateful of any help. thankyou

I have windows vista and can access my itune downloads but when I try to access the store it thinks about it and then stops - the bar is stuck halfway across.  I get no message come up.  Desperate to access the store but am at a loss what to do. I am a novice on the computer so an idiot's guide for me would be welcome.  many thanks, regards Lesley

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

  • I can open itunes on my new computer but I can't use it...

Hi everyone, I hope you can help me with an irritating problem I have with itunes on my new computer. I'm not american so I hope I can explane it...
I installed itunes and thought it worked fine. I copied a couple of cd´s I wantet to put on my ipod but itunes won't play them. It shows all the songs just fine but when I press play it shows a second of each of the songs I imported but there's no sound. The same happened when I put the songs on my ipod - it only showed the title for a second and then moved on to the next song.
So I can't really use itunes for anything right now - What do I do?
      Windows XP

does the time for the songs (in your main library display) show that they are only a few seconds long?
if so, we'd better check on some of the usual suspects with that:
You can't import or play music from an audio CD in iTunes for Windows
... and these resources might also be helpful with that:
