Can't activate iCloud email

Hi,
I have an annoying issue with icloud mail.
I have an @icloud.com mail address connected to my apple id (which is an @mac.com address). I created it from the settings panel on my macbook. Something went wrong however. I can now sign in using the icloud mail, but I can't sync mail and notes. When I sign out of the icloud account on my mac and try to set it up from mail instead, mail crashes. When I try to sync it from the icloud settings panel it says the email is already in use - but I can't register another email.
On my iPhone and iPad it just says there was a problem, try again.
I've googled for hours and tried everything from reinstalling osx and resetting my iphone to deleting email plist files.
I could just leave it, but Apple sent me my developer confirmation to that address and I can't access it.
Any suggestions?

Delete the account, then sign back in with the correct address.

Is there any way I can use my icloud email aliases on a windows 7 machine other than icloud.com? I've tried outlook, but it won't allow me to send from my aliases and icloud.com is so slow it's maddening. I've searched online and haven't come up with anything so I'm doubtful that there is a solution but would be so happy if there was.

I have 2 MBP's, and was wondering: how can i activate icloud photostream on both? it works fine with 1 MBP, 2 iphones and 1 ipad, but when i try to activate icloud in iphoto on my new mbp, it says i have to deactivate icloud on the 1st MBP.

On a Mac running OSX 10.7.2 or above go to System Preferences>iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID. You canot create an iCloud account on lower systems.

Can't activate iCloud Keychain - Didn't received any sms activation code

I can't activate iCloud Keychain either on my MBP or my iPhone. Only option I have is to activate via SMS since non of my devices has, at this point, activated iCloud Keychain.
My phone number is the right one.
I've tried to activate it multiple times in multiple days, but I didn't received any sms with that activation code.
The steps I've take so far:
I've clicked "use Code"
that will be the final step, to insert the verification code but that code has never arrived.

You can try calling Apple first, instead of resetting your keychain. But you really need to export your passwords. iCloud Keychain is very convenient, but not safe.

i curently have an apple id that i have had for years "[email protected]" i have since signed up to icloud and i cloud emails and i selected "[email protected]" for example! now when i try and update my original apple id "[email protected]" with my new @me.com email address it wont allow me!
i dont want to have 2 apple id's cause all my emails assosiated with my original apple id (eg Receipts from apple) go to my old email address and not my @me.com email!
does that make more sense ?

How Can i Move iCloud Email to Another Apple ID

I have 2 Apple IDS
Apple ID 1 is linked to my imessage and linked to an @me.com email address
Apple ID 2 has no icloud email
I basically want to move my icloud (@me.com) email address to the Apple ID 2 and use that for iMessage as well as my Apple ID
When i change my icloud username to Match Apple ID 2, it doesnt wants me to create a new icloud email address.
How can I move my icloud email address linked to Apple ID1 to Apple ID 2?

I don't believe you can. @me.com email addressses are permanently tied to the iCloud account that created them (in your example, ID1) and can't be moved.

Can't access iCloud email after update to 10.7.4

After updating to System 10.7.4, I can't access my iCloud email account on any of my devices (computer and iPhone 4S). The servers are not recognizing my email password, which is the same as my Apple ID password. I can log in to iCloud using Safari and access all of my other information (contacts, etc.), but not email.
I tried going to Keychain Access and found that my old MobileMe password was correct (now my iCloud and Apple ID password), but the "application password" associated with my email account (which is now my iCloud email account) had been switched to a long string of nonsense. I tried changing that string to my actual apple ID password, but the system changed it back to the nonsense string. What's going on here???

I've seen others having problems with a server being down, but I've had no problems yet. And all email providers have problems from time to time. I expect Apple is having minor problems with the transition from MMe to iCloud and I expect it to become stable, even though I've seen few problems.
From my experience, it's been more stable than gmail or att.net. Do what makes you comfortable and no reason not to have both in case one fails.
Unless you're a very unlucky person on a bad server, it may just be a setup issue. Try signing out of iCloud, delete iCloud accounts left in Mail. Delete any password associated with iCloud or MMe or .mac in Keychain for applications, not the website password. Verify your Keychain is OK after with Keychain First Aid.
Then sign back into iCloud and let the server set up the Mail account. The only thing you have to do is check the box to use Mail and iCloud does the account setup. If it doesn't work, then it's a server issue.
As of right now, iCloud system status reports no trouble in the US.

You would need to upgrade OS X to 10.7.5 (Lion) or later to sync your Mac with iCloud. If you have 2GB of memory and 8GB of available hard drive space, you could upgrade to OS X Mavericks for free from the Mac App Store. After upgrading, you can sign into your iCloud account in System Preferences>iCloud.
However, you don't need to do anything if you only need to use Find My iPhone. To use Find My iPhone to track your iOS devices from a computer you go to icloud.com from your browser, sign into the iCloud account the device you want to track is using and click Find My iPhone.

After eventually downloading IOS 5, I have not been able to set up the icloud or imessage functions because I can not verify my email as it says it is already in use. Help anyone?

Can't see icloud email content on PC

When I access my iCloud emails on my PC they have no content (nothing in the body of the message), but when I access iCloud emails on my iPhone I can see the contents of all emails. This is happening both with text-based emails and ones with graphics. Anyone have an idea what's causing this/how to solve?

Having the very same issues - a full copy, paste on iPhone and mail back to myself {iCloud} has been working sometimes - or forwarding to myself. Still no word from Apple though -
"I am receiving emails from a few friends and colleagues that show up fine on my iPhone. When i try to access the emails via iCloud.com on my PC. They are showing up completely blank, lost attachments etc. It seems that there are alot of people encountering this issue. Any suggestions,

Can i hide icloud emails from mac mail?

hi.
i have all my old @me email address set up in my mac mail app but now iCloud as kicked in i also see duplicates of them with @icloud.
it makes my list of emails to send from seem much larger than it is.
is there any way to hide the @icloud emails from the list to keep it more simple?

hey. what im saying is that when i send an email i can see (from the drop down menu) all my emails that i can send from.
i have duplicates of those in the list...
so i see
[email protected] AND [email protected]
so... for about 3 or 4 emails i see 8 available email addresses to send from.
is there a way of hiding the @icloud emails so my list isnt so long and confusing.

Can't send iCloud email

I've been having trouble with iCloud email. All of my devices can receive email but I can't send any messages. Tried it on Mac, iPad, iPhone and my pc... None of these work. According to the services site all mail services should be working just fine. I haven't changed any settings, except for creating an app specific password for using iCloud mail with outlook on my pc. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

So after some time spent on google looking at older posts I solved the problem. Apparently its an issue with the Deutsche Telekom router W724V. I haven't found any posts regarding this problem on Apple Support though. If the "prevent email fraud" feature is enabled in the settings for W724V, it blocks connections to all SMTP servers not listed on the trusted servers list. While the icloud SMTP server is on the list for some reason it will still not allow a connection. The only viable option as of August 2013 is uncheck the "prevent email fraud" option altogether. Telekom promised a firmware update, however since this was a year ago, chances are that won't happen... I just didn't think it was the router, because connections to other SMTP servers on the trusted list, like gmail or hotmail, seem to work fine when the feature is enabled.

Can't access iCloud email??

Friend has an iPad mini 1st gen.
She was reading a long email, closed it and set it down to do something else.
Later, she unlocked her screen, touched the mail icon as usual and got an iCloud welcome screen. Thinking this was odd, she again entered her info and then got a "this account is active" message or something like that, but still can't actually access her mail.
What do do??
