You can always look in the keyboard assignments if you need to find out what does what, espcially if you have done any customising.

..\ means parent directory... it should work by either using
../ or ..\. CF as far as I know doesn't care which slash you
use.... (at least in Windows, Linux implementations may require the
'/'.)

I can't send mail after updating to mavericks (10.9.2) . i have to quit and restart mail each time i want to send an email - i can't believe apple have done this so amateurishly - please can someone help ???

i cant use mail to send an email. it goes to my out box and then eventually comes up with this dialogue :
"An error occurred while sending this message using the SMTP server “(null)”
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent."
I have to click Try Later and then quit mail , then restart Mail and then if I am lucky the email will be sent. the next time I have to send an email the same thing happens . From the Mail menu bar, select
Window ▹ Connection Doctor
Click the Show Detail button. A drawer opens. Try to send a message and post the text that appears. Anonymize any personal information before posting.

I assume this is Apple Mail. Try this:
Preferences > Accounts > your-first-account
Select Outgoing Mail Server of account/name you wish to use and check Use only this server
Repeat for other accounts.

How do I do the importing.

If the video is already on a DVD:
You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

Problems with 1.0.7 OS upgrade, can't file support claim, they want me to PAY! for support now! I can't believe this!

After this 1.0.7 OS upgrade yesterday my PB still will not open TXT or HTM file attachments, Bridge files will not recognize MUSIC or VIDEO files on the PB or my PHONE. That is simply incorrect. Contact your country's Blackberry Playbook Tech Support and give them your playbook PIN or serial number. They will be able to help you, because the 90 day period is being extended, for free. If the agent somehow tells you you have to pay, demand to speak to a supervisor.
