Can't delete an added lookup

A lookup was added to the "rights holder" field in the "rights" metadata group. This lookup contained all of our known rights holders. The problem is there is no longer a user editable field for that "rights holder" so we can't add new names.
I'm trying to go back to the user editable field of "rights holder" and get rid of the lookup, but i'm having no luck.
I've gone in to the "rights" metadata group, selected "Rights holder" in the "Fields - selected" window and it shows the field lookup as none and editable.
I've gone into the metadata field window in the admin panel, found rights holder and set "lookup values" to none. I save, then if I immediately reopen the admin panel for editing the metadata field, the "lookup values" read "copyright holder lookup" instead of "none". It's not saving my change.
Any idea how I can get the rights holder field back to a simple user editable field with no lookup? As it is we can't add any rights holders unless we go into admin and add them to the lookup table..
What am I missing here? We're running 1.5 having just upgraded.
I can remove the field entirely, but that doesn't really help.

It's not so strange that you can still search and that the metadata still exists - when you add a lookup it doesn't change existing metadata; it only filters what is in that field. Your field is still a Unicode String. If your string doesn't match what's in the lookup, it won't be displayed, but it won't be deleted until you choose something new from the lookup.
I'm still confused why your Rights mdgroup is not PAGRP_CUST_ASSETRIGHTS and wondering if all your attempts at changing things are not linking to what you think they are. (I'm also still presuming you're on 1.5.1.)
Things are definitely out of whack, but it may not be possible to troubleshoot through the admin interface. What you could do - well, maybe not recommended, but what I would do - is examine the db via the CLI, and figure out what it truly pointing to what.

Hi!
Im using advanced in advanced table and i can't delete a row after i added in detail table, i have to refresh the page in order to delete the row.
This is what i do.
execute query from master table
expand row in master table
click Add row button in detail table(standard button in footer)
add data in columns
click save button
select row with multiselect and then click delete button but nothing's happend i just can delete older rows
also i can't edit the new row just older rows.
i think that is something wrong with the cache :S
any ideas?

The only way that I know of to delete incorrect or old email addresses is to restore the iPad back to defaults (which I assume that you don't want to do) - I'm not aware of anything having been added in iOS 5.1 that allows you to edit that list of email addresses. You could try leaving feedback, and maybe in a future update we'll be able to : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

When will there be fix for AirPrint in Yosemite? I cannot use my HP printer. I have uninstalled/resinstalled everything you can think of. I have deleted and added my printer more time than I can count. I have checked for updates. Nothing has worked.

When will there be fix for AirPrint? Since upgrading to Yosemite I cannot print from my MacBook Air which I use mostly. (I can print from the my old 2005 G5 desktop and iPad2 just fine on the same network.) I could print just fine when I had Mavericks. I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun: resetting print system, deleting and adding the printer, checking for updates, uninstalling and reinstalling printer software and folders, turning off modem, router etc. NOTHING works.
The laptop shows that it is printing but nothing happens. Then it says it cannot locate the printer or there is a broken pipe. But it does tell me that I have a low level in one of the ink cartridges (which is true.)
Help! I have warned everyone I know not to upgrade. Is there a way to go back to Mavericks?

I have 2 email addresses set up on my iphone 5, 1 can send mail and the other can't... have tried deleting and adding the account, no luck, have tried all suggestions... anyone help?

I have recently purchased the iphone 5S and have two AOL email accounts set up on it. They could both receive and send mail on the first day, but from the second day only 1 can send mail (both still receive). I get an message saying "Unable to send mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." This has been the response now for 3 days and suddenly this morning, I was able to send an email from this account, but only the one and now it's back to that same message. I have deleted and added the account again, using various methods. I even reset my phone and set it all up again from beginning with no luck. It is very frustrating and I am unsure why I can't send from both accounts, especially being that they are the same provider. I have read forums and it appears many have this same problem and I wondered if anyone has had it recently on this phone and how they fixed it. Someone said just use the AOL app to send from this account, yes that can be done, but it's inconvenient having to sign in all the time when i have a mail app that should work automatically. Any suggestions would be welcomed!!

I am not sure if this issue is going to help you but lets give it a try.
I know that where im from, which is the Netherlands, I am not able to sent e-mails from my iPhone or any other mobile device by using 3G or a random WIFI acces point. The provider only allowes you to sent e-mails when you are connected to a network of there own. Which means if you have provider "101" and your email settings are set up for this provider in your iPhone but your using the network of a friend of yours which is provider "202" you cannot sent emails from his network. Though you can receive them you may not sent.
As I said, I am not aware if this issue is the same for you totaly depents on the country and provider your using.

Also, I have noticed that every once in awhile you can not close tabs you've opened, either by pushing on the X button and/or clicking on the mouse to close it. Although closing the window and opening it again (without closing the Firefox application) seemed to rectify the problem in the short term, it's becoming quite annoying.

First, download the add-on SQManager. This should be included with FireFox, it is really good.
Look for the file '''moz_hosts''' in the folder '''places.sqlite'''.
Don't delete the file, just delete the information in the file. My file has over 3600 websites, which go back years!! I did not know they were there, but I was frustrated about not being able to get rid of them. They popped up every time I used the address bar. Clearing my history would not get rid of them.
This is where they are stored!! I found that by deleting the pesky web site from '''moz_hosts''', it does not appear in my address bar anymore!!!
I think that if I just delete all the websites in moz_hosts....

As long as you don't delete the file, just empty it, FireFox won't know the difference. It will just keep adding websites to it until you empty it again.
Why running "clear recent history" doesn't do this, I don't know. You are doing manually what "clear recent history" is not doing.

If you are using a PC, log on to iCloud using Safari (rather than Explorer) to reset the photostream. Then turn iPhone/iPad photostream off and back on. I was getting the same server error as you and this advice from another blog worked for my iPhone and iPad. But I still can't get photostream deleted from my apple tv. There does not seem to be a photostream on/off control In Apple tv 4.4 software. I tried switching the screen saver to one of the ones that comes preloaded on the device, then back to photostream but all the old photos are still there. If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.

This sounds like spamware you might have installed by accident. If you go into Add-Ons (Firefox -> Add-Ons) it should be under 'Extensions'. Click the 'Remove' button and that should get rid of it.
You might also find it under 'Programs and Features' in Control Panel. Remove it if it's there.

Delete the account the account from the iPad. Go to the Comcast website and deal with all of those stored emails. Then reinstall the account on the iPad.

Steps:
1. Added Horizontal Menu to Site
2. Select "Manual"
3. Link to anchor
4. Try to delete menu (Using Edit > Cut and Edit>Clear. Can't delete menu.
5. Went to layers to trash Menu. Highlight selected menu > Can't delete item.
I was finally able to delete after dragging the menu to the bottom of the site and hitting DELETE on my keyboard several times.

You can't.
All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the Photo Library. The photos in the album or albums below are not duplicates - they include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view the photos in a particular album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos available in all albums by selecting Photo Library.

You can't. It doesn't work that way.
the new album that you created doesn't contain a copy of the actual photo. It contains a pointer to that photo. If you delete it from the camera roll, you will delete it from the album that you created as well. Albums that you create on the iPad in the Photos app are for local organization only and cannot be transfer or imported to your computer, because there really are no photos in those albums

You can't. Items on the "cloud" are just a visual representation of your purchase history. You can never delete them, as Apple uses this list to determine what Apps you have access to for free should you ever need to re-download them.
You can hide Apps from that list trough iTunes on a computer though.

However, Apps do not take up space in your iCloud so no real need to delete them.
