Can't focus borderless terminal - Fluxbox

Hello,
I've recently ran into the issue that I can't get a borderless terminal to accept focus. I'm running Fluxbox with Arch64 and using urxvt for a terminal.
If used normally, not borderless, then the terminal works fine. If it's borderless then clicking on it does nothing, nor does alt-tab.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Thanks for the help.

I ran into this same problem under both Openbox and xmonad--there seems to be a bug with setting URxvt.borderLess in .Xdefaults. If enabled, the resulting window is created in to top-left corner, ignoring all other rules (geometry, etc.) and is otherwise inaccessible. The workaround for Openbox is to remove the option from .Xdefaults and simply set <decor>no</decor> in your rc.conf for the URxvt application--not sure if there exists an equivalent for Fluxbox.
A number of people have been reporting this problem recently... Should probably look into creating a bug report. Not sure if this is Arch-specific or an upstream issue, though.

I'm using xterm and /bin/zsh, but it looks ugly. It's a white background with a black text. On debian, I use to right click and hit preferences and went from there. But when I right click it just highlights the shell. How can I customize background color, change font, etc?

If I was you, I would go through each thing listed and figure out each one. Understanding each element is essential.

Can't view borderless tables on black background - please help.

In CS3, when you viewed a table on a black background, the table was visible because of a dotted white line. In CS4 (I'm on a Mac by they way) the table outline was only black and I read that they never fixed this issue.
Does anyone know how I can view a borderless tables against a black background in CS5? I want to change that dotted line to white.
I appreciate any feedback. This issue is driving me nuts.

OS 10.3.1.1565 my Passport camera can't focus, all pics are blurry

After updating OS 10.3.1.1565 the latest one, my Blackberry Passport camera can't focus and all the pictures are in blurry condition. And some noisy mechanical noise from the camera trying to get a focus but it still can't get one.
Please help me to solve this problem because before updating everything was awesome with BlackBerry Passport.

@badspyder, the mechanical noise is a bit worrysome, as mine is silent, but others have reported defective cameras.
You could try BBVE to test it.
You could call support as they may have a troubleshooting protocol,
Or you could try to reload the OS software. Do a backup, then reload, then restore, and you should be back to normal in about 2-3 hours if it is a software glitch. I had to do that for different reasons.

From experience, ensure that you have decrypted both your device storage, and the removable SD card if installed, or all of that data will be lost.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. Gordon, it looks like its been a while since you made this post. Not sure how valid it is now...   I am particularly interested in the LigatureLevel.NONE value. It seems that it is no longer supported.
How do I turn of ligatures in the font rendering?
My flex project involves trying to match the font rendering of Apache's Batik rendering of SVG and ligatures have been turned off in that codebase. Is there any way (even roundabout) to turn ligatures off in flash?

You can't get it separately. You will have to re-Install Mac OS X. Luckily, it is not difficult or destructive.
But .. how do you think you might have come to lose Terminal?
EDIT: I see Niel has suggested you can extract if from your 10.6 DVD. That is doable.
If extracting and Installing it with Pacifist gets too complicated, a re-Install may be easier.

My Camera can't focus, always keep blurring. Why?

My ipad air's rear camera can not focus, when push the rectangular on the screen it can't focus and get clear, always keep blur. On the other hand when first open the camera application it first clear but immediately when push on the rectangular on screen it becomes blur. Never get clear show after that. What can be the problem? I clean lens but no solution.

I would recommend the Camera+ app from the iTunes Store.
It allows you to switch the LED on in still mode so you can focus in the dark.

I having trouble with my new terminal server. I am using RF's (intermec & motorola) in my business and We have two terminal servers that is running with 2008r2 standard. RF's can connect to first terminal server unproblematic but can't connect
to other one and getting error as "Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer, verify that you are logged on the
network, and then try connecting again"
I can connect to all terminal servers with my domain computer via remote desktop connection.
Own enterprise network has PEAP-WPA2 user authentication
Rf's are not in the domain.

We found a solution regarding this case with microsoft team. Solution is in the following.
Issue Statement:
Cannot connect RF scanner to a particular server using RDP.
Symptoms:
> The RF scanners are Intermec CK3R devices with windows embedded handheld 6.5 classic installed on them. They fail to connect to
a particular server using RDP. However, same user and device can successfully connect to another server. The server to which the device fails to connect is TRKKTA01-N.
> Never been able to connect to the problem server.
> Both the good and the bad server are Windows 2008 R2.
> The Devices are connecting using per user licenses.
> We can connect to the problem server using a Fat client like Windows 7 machine with the same user ID.
> both the Problem server and the working server are in the same network but on different VLANs.
> On the Scanner, when trying to RDP user gets the following error:
"Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer, verify that you are logged on the network, and
then try connecting again"
> Already different encryptions have been tried but the connection still fails.
Environment:
RDS server is Windows 2008 R2. Clients are Intermec CK3R devices and OS is Windows embedded handheld 6.5 classic.
Scope Agreement:
We will close the case once we find the cause of the RDP failure and provide a possible fix for it.
If the problem is found to be due to third-party code we will provide information to substantiate this.
Case Status: Resolved.
Steps used to resolve the issue were:
1. Create the following reg key on the license server:
Use512LenPropCert on the Server
Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\RCM
Registry entry: Use512LenPropCert
Data type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1
2. De-activate the license server
3. Re-activate the server using the telephone method
4. Delete the x509 cert keys from the terminal servers

Borderless Terminal Positioning and configs

what i want to achieve is using terminator ( someone suggested it ) as a drop down terminal in the position where lxterminal is, but transparent and borderless. within openbox, so that everytime i press the ` key a terminal pops up in that position, transparent and borderless. and exits when i again press `
I have read about terminator, but configs and position confuse me simply because im extremely poor in the mathetics area and yeah.
or if theres another terminal i can use besides terminator im open to suggestions. to achieve the effect

I'd recommend urxvt, or any xterm-like terminal would be very easy.
These respond to a -geometry command line option or Xresource configuration so you can set it to open at a certain x,y coordinate with a give width and height. Then you'd just set openbox to have that terminal undecorated.
If you use other instances of that terminal, you can give this one a new classname.
In otherwords, bind the key your want in rc.xml to run "urxvt -name popupterm", in .Xresource include lines like "popupterm*geometry: WxH+X+Y".

Can not focus or edit on JTextField on SuSe Linux 9.1

I am trying to debug a strange problem with JTextField on SuSe Linux 9.1.
The problem is that the mouse click can not gain focus to the JTextField
in a very high frequency. Once problem occurs, the keyboard tab also
does not work. The problem does not happen all the time.
I wrote a simple event listener that dump out events that confirm that
the TextField got the mouse click event.
We are using JDK1.4.2_05.
The same piece of code works fine with Windows XP and RedHat.
I would greately appreciated if you have any suggestion to debug this
issue.

The first thing to do is identify which of the two rows with the same key value are correctly referenced by rows in other tables. If all referencing rows relate to only one of the errant pair then you can insert the non-key values from the other
one into a new row, and then delete the original 'bad' row. If you find that there are rows in referencing tables which relate to each of the errant pair, then, after copying the non-key values from one into a new row and deleting the 'bad' original,
you'll need to change the foreign key values in those rows in any referencing tables which related to the 'bad' original to the value of the primary key in its replacement row. You'll need to delete the relationship before doing any of this of
course.
Once you've done the above I'd then be inclined to copy the table to a new one under a different name, delete the original table, rename the copy to the original name, and then re-create the enforced relationship. Finally, compact and repair the database.

Can't open .term Terminal.app files from command line

Howdy. I use Terminal.app constantly for ssh'ing into numerous remote machines. On my G4 Powerbook I have simply created .term files with customized colors, titlebars, and an appropriate ssh execution string for each machine/userid combination, which I am able to open with "open ~/bin/foo.term". Life is no longer so joyously simple on my new Intel iMac. I create a .term file (via Cmd-s while in a terminal window), but the above command to open foo.term now simply doesn't work on my iMac once a single terminal window has been opened (even after it's been closed) -- I can start one such file only from the finder or via Launchbar or Quicksilver. The only way I can use my .term files is by switching to Terminal and selecting File...Open and clicking on the .term file -- which, being a command line (and Launchbar) junkie, I hate, of course. Applescripts don't work either.
I would be forever grateful if someone could tell me how to fix this problem!

Ah, interesting -- thanks for the input. I had thought the problem might have something to do with the fact that I was using an Intel iMac, but you are using a PPC iBook. The problem isn't with 10.4.6 either, as that is what I'm running on my G4 Powerbook, and the .term files work as expected on that machine.
Initially I thought it was a
problem with permissions, i.e the term file hadn't
the execute bit set (which it did not). Setting the x
bit though did not help at all.
Right, the .term files aren't executable.
A work around was to
save the command(s) into a plain text document in
text edit (not rtf) as a .command file (no txt
extension in this case) and set its execute bit in
terminal (sudo chmod u+x ...).
I don't quite understand the workaround -- what command(s) exactly did you put into the .command file? Could you paste the contents of such a file here?
I have not dealt with term files extensively but I
noticed that .term files are xml ones. Could anyone
shed some light in possible changes in the way
terminal handles them?
Since the .term files work as desired on my Powerbook, it now doesn't appear that Terminal.app has changed its processing of the files. Something else is going on here.
