Can't insert 1d array of DBL into 2d array

I've got a program which calculates resistances given measured resistances and a temperature range.  It generates a 2d array of results (temperature and resistance) which is two columns wide and about 510 rows long.  I'm trying to write something that will take that array as input and write a new 2d array that's ten columns wide, 51 rows long, and has only the resistance values.  I've managed to write a loop that reads ten values from the resistance column and puts them in a 1d array, but whenever I try to insert the 1d array into a 2d array in another loop to handle the rows, I get an error message about connecting arrays of differing dimensions.  I've tried both "Replace subset" and "Insert into array" but they both give me the same message.
I'm using a shift register to make sure the final array is used in each loop iteration (so I'm always adding a row to the same array).  I tried using "Build Array" but that only overwrites the first row over and over again.
I've tried searching the forums for a solution but I haven't been able to open any of the demo vi's because I'm using 8.0.1 and most of the demos are written in a later version.  Help?

LOL!!
LOL!!
sorry...
LOL!!!
You can't do that... Looping back like that is just not right!  LOL!!!  You'd be pulling a time warp!  LOL!!
sorry...  it's a little funny...   Thanks, I actually needed to laugh a bit..  LOL!!
Even if you could loop back, you're actually looping back a 1D array, so at the top, you still don't have a 2D array, which does not solve the original error.

  • How can I insert values from table object into a regular table

I have a table named "ITEM", an object "T_ITEM_OBJ", a table object "ITEM_TBL" and a stored procedure as below.
    CREATE TABLE ITEM
    ITEMID VARCHAR2(10) NOT NULL,
    PRODUCTID VARCHAR2(10) NOT NULL,
    LISTPRICE NUMBER(10,2),
    UNITCOST NUMBER(10,2),
    SUPPLIER INTEGER,
    STATUS VARCHAR2(2),
    ATTR1 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR2 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR3 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR4 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR5 VARCHAR2(80)
    TYPE T_ITEM_OBJ AS OBJECT
    ITEMID VARCHAR2(10),
    PRODUCTID VARCHAR2(10),
    LISTPRICE NUMBER(10,2),
    UNITCOST NUMBER(10,2),
    SUPPLIER INTEGER,
    STATUS VARCHAR2(2),
    ATTR1 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR2 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR3 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR4 VARCHAR2(80),
    ATTR5 VARCHAR2(80)
    TYPE ITEM_TBL AS TABLE OF T_ITEM_OBJ;
    PROCEDURE InsertItemByObj(p_item_tbl IN ITEM_TBL, p_Count OUT PLS_INTEGER);
When I pass values from my java code through JDBC to this store procedure, how can I insert values from the "p_item_tbl" table object into ITEM table?
In the stored procedure, I wrote the code as below but it doesn't work at all even I can see values if I use something like p_item_tbl(1).itemid. How can I fix the problem?
    INSERT INTO ITEM
    ITEMID,
    PRODUCTID,
    LISTPRICE,
    UNITCOST,
    STATUS,
    SUPPLIER,
    ATTR1
    ) SELECT ITEMID, PRODUCTID, LISTPRICE,
    UNITCOST, STATUS, SUPPLIER, ATTR1
    FROM TABLE( CAST(p_item_tbl AS ITEM_TBL) ) it
    WHERE it.ITEMID != NULL;
    COMMIT;
Also, how can I count the number of objects in the table object p_item_tbl? and how can I use whole-loop or for-loop to retrieve values from the table object?
    Thanks.

Sigh. I answered this in your other How can I convert table object into table record format?.

  • How can I insert more than one table into database simultaneously???

I have a problem like that:
I want to update(insert or update) into two tables in DB simultaneously when I click a certain button. Can you help me to solve this.
    Thanks.

I have tried using a view but I get the Validation Error on a sequence generated attribute (HOTELID) as shown below:

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • Can I insert an extra audio stream into the live stream?

I have a project where I need to set up a broadcast (from
pre-recorded files) so people can 'tune in' at a certain time to
watch a show. Some of these shows should have a soundtrack, can I
use SSAS to overlay an extra audio stream? So I would send one
video and two audio streams out to the client as one stream.
Alternatively, can I use SSAS to replace the audio, so
effectively demux the original audio off and send out a different
    audio stream in its place.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Unfortunately, no... you can't do either of the things you
listed. You would need to use separate streams for the audio and
video, but that would introduce potential for sync issues (in fact,
I can pretty much guarantee that you'd have sync problems).
I suppose that a really hackish fix would be to use a stereo
audio track and use the left and right channels for your two audio
sources. You could then use the rightToRight, leftToRight,
leftToLeft, and rightToLeft properties of the sound transform
object to handle playback (haven't tried that myself, but I suspect
    it would work)

  • Can I insert an 8 cm DVD into the slot on a G5?

Having just come across an 8 cm disc in a colleagues camcorder, it seems unlikely and I'm loathe to risk it.
However previous models (my old G4 for instance) had a horizontal tray with an 8cm indent in the tray - surely things haven't gone backwards in the newer model?
Perhaps there's an adaptor I need to buy?

  • How to insert an array of number into access database?

How can I insert an array of numbers(double) into an access database and later read them back to an array I labview. I don't have the Database Connectivity toolset. I would prefer using the LABSQL or other free solution. Any idea on how to solve this. I have tried LABSQL and SQL commands, but when I do that I have to convert the number to a string and then make a SQL-command string. Is there a way where I don't have to convert the number into a string?

    Hello,
I am not familiar with LABSQL and we do not do any support on that particular product. However I still want to give you some information on how to proceed. You can either store the array to binary format and by doing this you can save an entire array to one single element of the database. The other alternative is of course to save one-to-one in other words one element of the array in one element in the database.

Have you checked MSDN for information regarding this? You might be able to find useful SQL code there to use.

  • How to insert a very long string into a column of datatype 'LONG'

Can anyone please tell me how can I insert a very long string into a column of datatype 'LONG'?
I get the error, ORA-01704: string literal too long when I try to insert the value into the table.
Since it is an old database, I cannot change the datatype of the column. And I see that the this column already contains strings which are very long.
I know this can be done using bind variables but dont know how to use it in a simple query.
Also is there any other way to do it?

  • Can Numbers insert Complex Equations and show the Equation symbols

In Excel for Windows it is possible to insert complex equations that looks like an image but shows
all the symbols used in the equations. Excel will also use the same layout as it would look when written.
So for example can 1/2 be turned automatically into a superscript subscript mathematical equation.
Or can you insert a Square Route symbol into the equations.
    please help

    Kils wrote:

This was already available in Numbers'08
Or can you insert a Square Route symbol into the equations.
    This too
But Numbers'09 adds the ability to insert MathType equations.

  • How can I convert an array off byte into an Object ?

    Hi folks...
Im developing an application that comunicates a PDA and a computer via Wi-Fi. Im using a DataStream ( Input and Output ) to receive / send information from / to the computer. Most off the data received from him is in the byte[] type...
How can I convert an array off byte ( byte[] ) into an Object using MIDP 2.0 / CLDC 1.1 ?
I found on the web 2 functions that made this... but it uses a ObjectOutputStream and ObjectInputStream classes that is not provided by the J2ME plataform...
How can I do this ?
    Waiting answers
    Rodrigo Kerkhoff

There are no ObjectOutputStream and ObjectInputStream classes in CLDC. You must know what you are writing to and reading from the DataStream. You should write the primitives like int, String to the DataOutputstream at one end and read those in exactly the same sequence at the outher end using readInt(), readUTF() methods.

  • How can I insert data into the standard CRM tables ?

    Hi Experts,
    Scenario----
I need to download few attributes (fields) from SAP MDM to SAP CRM via SAP XI. I'm using the 'COMT_PRODUCT_MAINTAIN_API' API for it.
The attributes(fields) that are present in the strucutres of API are downloaded into CRM system (by executing the Inbound proxy that is created based on the Message Interface created on XI) by calling the functions present in the API.
And for those fields that are not present in CRM, but need to be downloaded into CRM, I'm creating the Set Type attributes in CRM, which get appended to the API.
    My query is:
There are fields in CRM into which I need to insert the values. But they are not listed in the API. So, how can I insert(/download) the values into these standard fields?
Regret the long description. Intended to be clear.
    TIA. Points will be awarded.
