Can't modify a gui Status

I made a GUI and i try to change it.I take the message that you see.What can i do ?
I can't copy also a gui from SAPLKKBL to my prog .....
Copying statuses is restricted in modification
mode. See F1 Help
Please help .....

Just try switching off the modification assistant from the GUI status. take the following Menu path:
Edit -> Modification Operations -> Swich off assistant
This should resolve the issue.

In this case, can I modify swing GUI out of swing thread?

I know the Swing single thread rule and design (Swing is not thread safe).
For time-consuming task, we are using other thread to do the task and
we use SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait() or SwingUtilities.invokeLater (or SwingWorker) to update Swing GUI.
My problem is, my time-consuming task is related to Swing GUI stuff
(like set expanded state of a huge tree, walk through entire tree... etc), not the classic DB task.
So my time-consuming Swing task must executed on Swing thread, but it will block the GUI responsivity.
I solve this problem by show up a modal waiting dialog to ask user to wait and
also allow user to cancel the task.
Then I create an other thread (no event-dispatch thread) to do my Swing time-consuming tasks.
Since the modal dialog (do nothing just allow user to cancel) is a thread spawn by
Swing event-dispatch thread and block the Swing dispatch-thread until dialog close.
So my thread can modify Swing GUI stuff safely since there are no any concurrent access problem.
In this case, I broke the Swing's suggestion, modify Swing stuff out of Swing event-dispatch thread.
But as I said, there are no concurrent access, so I am safe.
Am I right? Are you agree? Do you have other better idea?

If you drag your modal dialog around in front of the background UI, then there is concurrent access: paint requests in your main window as the foreground window moves around.

OSS Note 1401249 - Issue in GUI status

Hi ,
As per 1401249 Note instructions, i need to add a new push button 'Display Income Levy Data', in the standard report HIECILC0 .
In SE41 , I am giving the program name HIECILC0 and Status 'ALV', when I click on Change button, I see 'Modify Status ALV in program HIECILC0' , where as in the Note instructions screen shot it is given as 'Maintain Status ALV in program HIECILC0'.
Have anyone faced this issue before, why is it 'Modify Status ALV in program HIECILC0' instead of 'Maintain Status ALV in program HIECILC0'.
I am not able follow the same steps given in the Note instruction because of this issue.
Please let me know how to proceed with this.

Add Button to GUI STATUS Application toolbar

Hi,
I have to add a button in the application toolbar of a gui status. I have done that many times before, but I never got into trouble like this time....
When I open the Gui status and the tree for the application toolbar, I can see already set buttons. When I now click on change (a modification warning comes) and press the plus-icon, it is possible to enter a new item. But everything I´m typing, I get the message Function code XXXX has not been assigned to a function key. I have never got this before....
When I now go to SE41 and enter a new function key, I can´t use it either afterwards as a button in the application toolbar.
In the tree of the function keys, I can´t change anything...
What can I do here? The program name is SAPMZLCG, so it has been modified sometimes. But how can I change the GUI STATUS now to add a new button?

You need to goto the application toolbar and the add your text to the items and click below the text you will get one popup which will ask for static text and dynamic text. select statictext and then add all the information like text name and if you want to add an icon you can do it aswell. the there will be another popup for fuction attributes where you will be able to find some options loke fuction types and reaction need to select all that and then click on the ok button and save check and activate the same and after that activate and check whether the button is visible or not. once the button is visible then you need to check for the ok_code and sy_ucomm and then insert the fuctionality of the button.

Adding A Pushbutton To GUI Status of Standard Program

I need to add a pushbutton to the GUI status of one of the SAP standard programs, the system being ECC 6.0. One method which I tried was by copying the standard program as a Z program and then modifying the GUI status per my requirement. Although this works, one drawback in doing it this way was with the introduction of the new Enhancement Framework in ECC 6.0, the defined enhancements from the standard program were not copied to the Z program.
I am looking for suggestions on how to add a pushbutton in the GUI status of the standard program using the enhancement concept. Please let me know the implications if any, while carrying out this change.

Setting GUI Status on CL_SALV_TABLE

Hi All,
I'm calling CL_SALV_TABLE in a method in the popup mode:
*    Set popup display
lo_alv->set_screen_popup( start_column = 10
                                  end_column   = 200
                                  start_line   = 5
                                  end_line     = 30 ).
My problem is that I can't link a GUI status to this as the status can only be linked to a program, function module etc.
I have added a new GUI status to a FM in the same package but I'm getting an object not found exception.
lo_alv->set_screen_status( pfstatus = 'CTRL_POPUP'
                                report = sy-repid
                                set_functions = lo_alv->c_functions_all ).
Anybody know a workaround for this besides moving the ALV into a program and calling that from the object. I'd prefer to keep all my code in this one object if I can help it.

You can refer to any GUI status for which is created in any other program.
For, example:
lo_alv->set_screen_status( pfstatus = 'SALV_STANDARD'
                                report = 'SALV_DEMO_TABLE_FUNCTIONS'
                                set_functions = lo_alv->c_functions_all ).
So, you can use any dummy program which can hold the GUI status for you.

I have a dynpro with a GUI status. If I show a Modal Dialog on that dynpro it has automatically the GUI Status of the parent window.

Hello,
You need to use the comand SET PF-STATUS to set a new gui status before opening the modal dialog.
And you need to check in the PBO of the parent dialog if there is a SET PF-STATUS command to set the parent GUI status back.

Can I modify the design notes status list?

I'm one of the people who quite likes using design notes.
Does anyone know if I can modify the standard status list?

We ran into the same issue so we chose to create our own email submit button. We even allowed our users to enter their email, subject line and body using response boxes. We used the standard button and added the following Javascript on the click event.

Thanks for replay. Actually, the SE80->program->Gui status have some objects and they are already transfered. But I can't see them on target system. But When I create exactly the same name, the system tell me they are already created. I think it becuase the original language is 'DE' but I use default language 'EN' to modify and create the request?

Disabling Gui status buttons

Hello,
I made some researchs and asked some colleagues but I have a problem. I would like to disable a gui status button (to grey it out),
I used this:
SET PF-STATUS 'STATUS_0200' EXCLUDING lt_fcode.
adding the name of my button but the only thing it does is making it disappeared (It is a toggle button between modify and display).
Is there any suggestions to just grey out the button and not removing it?

anurodh_t: I want to disable it on specific occasions because I am giving access, by authority check, to some people only to use it. The reason why I want to keep the button shown is because I want people to know that, yes, it is indeed possible to modify the fields in my screen but no, they can't do it because they don't have access. Making it disappear would only show, to my opinion, that the possibility might not even exist. Though, someone with the access will have that same button enabled, of course. That is why I want it grey out when not having access. To answer your second questions, I unfortunately haven't seen it yet. Though, I thought it was because of my young experience in SAP (I started at beginning of september).

How to get GUI Status(Push Buttons) in ALV Report

I have a requirement in a way that:
Once selection-screen was processed,an ALV report has to come and above the ALV List,I need a custom GUI Status(4 Push Button) with Push Buttons Logic.
Once I had clicks on thesse push button,I need to display one more ALV List and above this List,again I need a custom GUI Status(2 Push Buttons) with Push Buttons Logic.
