Can't open latest 64-bit version of iTunes. It says to open it in 32-bit but there is no option in "Get Info" to do that.
I use a MacBook Pro version 10.6.8. The version of iTunes I installed is 10.5.1. When I try to open iTunes, the following message appears:
Running iTunes in 64-bit mode requires Mac OS X 10.7 or later.
To run iTunes in 32-bit mode, select the iTunes application in the Finder, choose the "Get Info" commands in the File menu, and check the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox in the iTunes Info window.
I tried going to the iTunes Info window, but no checkbox exists for the 32-bit mode option.
Help please. :/
Everything installs fine. However, when I run iTunes and view it in my task manager, the process is listed as "iTunes.exe * 32"
That's normal. iTunes is a mixture of 32-bit and 64-bit componentry on 64-bit systems. itunes.exe is 32-bit.

Myself and my daughter each have our own library on one itunes account. This evening I upgraded to the latest version of itunes after being prompted when I launched itunes. What a mistake! Her library appears intact and launches automatically. Mine has completely disappeared. When I hold down "shift" and "Open new library" - my library is just not there. My music and photos are stored in the itunes folder on my pc, but it wasn't easy finding them. I have put them all in one folder but how do I now get this into itunes and get my libary back? I have tried putting the folder on desktop and dragging it into the "open libraries" window but it doesn't work. Is the only solution to open another itunes account and to upload all my music again (most of it was off my own CD collection thankfully).
I must say my preferred option would be to go back to the old version of itunes - all the stuff like manually synching appeared much easier - is this an option?To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

I updated to Yosemite and now I can't open my YNAB finance app. There is a question mark in the Dock where the App should be and when I hover over the question mark it does say YNAB but I can't open it. When I double click on the question mark nothing happens. Has the link to YNAB been broken with the update? Has this happened to anyone else?
Check the Application folder.
If it is not there, contact YNAB Finance for a OS X Yosemite compatible version of the application.

Of course it always works, what are you talking about.
I appreciate that re-downloading is only available in the US and then only with certain content. However content that cannot be re-downloaded is not offered for purchase on the Apple TV. -

I have a new ipad and everything works but can't connect to the app store. Itunes works and the wifi seems to be working but i get a blank white screen when i open the appstore. Nothing will load unter the features or charts tab so i cant download any apps. Purchased and updates tab loads fine. Any suggestions?

I have a Mac OS 10.4.11 that can't update to the newest version of Itunes. It does not recognize my new Iphone 4s. Is there other any way I can sync my phone? Apple support recommended that I update my Itunes from 9.2 to the new version but it won't install.
You cannot use an iPhone 4S with iTunes 9; you must have iTunes 10.5 or later, and that will indeed not run on Mac OS X 10.4. You'll need to upgrade your computer's OS to at least Mac OS X 10.5.8.
If, as Allan requested, you tell us your specific model of Mac, we can tell you what options you would have as regards compatible OS X versions.

I have a ton of documents and databases in AppleWorks v 6.0 that I can no longer open on my MacBook Pro. Is there any way to recover this info? Some documents can be opened and resaved with textedit, but not my database with all important addresses.
I tried Peggy's List > Select All > Copy > Paste into an AW spreadsheet suggestion.
In my case, pasting into the spreadsheet lost all text formatting (mostly text set to bold). The results of formulas were pasted, and checkboxes were pasted as "on" or "off". The DB did not contain any pop-up menus or radio buttons, but I expect they would transfer as a number showing the list position of the chosen item.
Pasting the copied List view data into a Numbers table gave a result similar to that with AppleWorks. I selected B2 as the target cell (for top left cell of the pasted data) to avoid any effects of posting into a header row or column. Bold and regular text formatting looked the same as it had in AW's List view.
Based on that, I'd slip the 'paste into an AppleWorks Spreadsheet step, and paste directly into a Numbers Table.

I backed up my movies and rebuild my computer, and after making sure i'm using the latest version of itunes and quicktime and and making sure i still had spare computer authorizations, i still get error 23132. Please help.
I had this exact issue. Spent over an hour on the phone with apple support, they couldn't resolve. Here is what I ended up doing, that worked.
1. Turned iTunes match off on all my iOS devices
2. Deleted the offending playlists from the iOS device they originated on
3. Started iTunes, let it run (literally) for an hour before it became responsive. First thing I did, before clicking anywere else was disable iTunes match. If I clicked anywhere, it would clock for another hour.
4. Let iTunes run overnight, by morning it had cleaned out the repeating play lists. This got my Mac/iTunes back to an operable state.
5. Restore iPhones from backup in iTunes.
What was causing my issue was a single playlist that was created on an iPhone, then suddenly showed up with several thousand duplicates on my other iPhone. The culprit playlist did not, for some reason, duplicate itself on my two iPads. Apple support seemed to think it was because the problem iPhone tried to sync the playlist to iCloud over and over again unsuccessfully, then it finally went through and populated the thousands of blank/failed playlists which then tried to propigate to iTunes and my other iOS devices. Seems like a reasonable theory.
I have not yet re-enabled iTunes match. So, no idea what will happen if I decide to go back down that rabbit hole.
