Can't open up itunes because it says some required files aren't there

my itunes wont open up because it says some files that are required are missing

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

    No.
If you don't want to update to the supported software you can't use the device.

    Sure there is.
    1. restart your computer in Single User Mode (by pressing Command + S during boot - see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1492)
This will boot your OS X system in a kind of command line mode.
Note: this will not work if you have a Firmware password set.
    2. when in Single User Mode, enter the following command
    mount -uw /
to mount your OS X file system.
    3. now you can enter the following command
    passwd username
replacing "username" by your OS X user's short name. Then you will be prompted to enter the new password for that user. You will have to confirm that new password.
Note that you will not see any character showing when you enter the new password; this is expected behaviour.

  • I can not open my itune because i did not complete the agreement

I can't open the window itunes, because I did not completed the filling the terms & condition. I don't have Credit Card No. like Visa card to complete all information.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
    Step 1
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Post the messages from the time of the last crash, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.
    Step 2
Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

  • I can't open a catalogue because it says that another application already has it opened.

I am using Lightroom 4. I have been working on one catalogue & then switched to another. Everytime I try to open the first catalogue it say it is already open by another application. It is not open anywhere else. I have obviously rebooted my PC but the same error comes up. I can go to the backup of the catalogue, but I have done a lot of work on the images since then. Can someone please help?

With Lightroom closed down, use Explorer to browse to the folder that contains the catalog that you are trying to open. In that folder, alongside the catalog, should be a file that has the same name as the catalog with the addition of a ".lock" extension. This is the lock file that is created every time you open a catalog and is supposed to be deleted when you close that catalog. If it already exists when you try to open the catalog, you get the problem that you are experiencing. So, if that "lock" file is there, simply delete it (making absolutely certain you delete the file ending in ".lock" only). Then you should be able to start Lightroom and open that catalog.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

On my new machine I get a message saying "You can't open Photoshop CS2 because Power PC applications are no longer supported". This is not new.  The fact that Mac OS no longer supports PowerPC applications starting with OS X Lion has been known for over a year now.  You'll need to upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop
