Can't run Domain Configuration Wizard in GUI mode

I work on a Java development team where each developer has a local WebLogic 10.3.2 server for Windows x86 installed. A small handful of these developers are unable to run the Domain Configuration Wizard (i.e. <WLS_HOME>\common\bin\config.cmd) in GUI mode. When they start it the splash screen will appear briefly and then disappear with nothing more to see. The majority of the developers have no problem with this. Where should I start looking to identify the possible causes for this problem?

I will suggest following:
1) instead of clicking on config.cmd in windows browser; run config.cmd at command prompt. You can see error there
2) check version of java, and if it is certified.
3) as an alternate you can start the installer in console mode using 'config.cmd -mode=console'

Yes you can. If you have two 2003 AD servers currently and upgrade one of them to 2008 AD then they'll continue to be able to work together. The domains functional level will remain as 2003 across both servers so at this stage you won't get any benefit from
the new AD functionality available in 2008.
Once you've then upgraded the second 2003 server to 2008 you can then upgrade the functionality levels in AD to make it 2008. It's been a while, but I believe it doesn't happen automatically, so once all AD servers have been upgraded you have to go into
AD and upgrade the functionality levels yourself.

I excuted the root.sh file on both nodes and then while trying to excute the VIPCA script its getting an error

How to change default run-time mode at Domain configuration wizard

is there any way to change default selected value for servers start mode while you are creating a new domain based on a template, through configuration wizard? By default development mode radio button is selected but I would like to change default selection to production mode at wizard screen

In GUI wizard there is no such option you have to select manually to change from development to production mode only.

We start installing WSS CU in our standalone environment
Then we start running the SharePoint Configuration Wizard and it is failed in step 9 with the following error in "PSCDiagnostics" log:

Hi,
From your narration, you can clear the configuration cache, then re-run the SharePoint Configuration Wizard, check the effect.
Cleared the cache of config database by following below steps.
1. Stopped the Windows SharePoint Services Timer service.
2. Started on the SharePoint Server where Central Administration Site is hosted. Browse to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\SharePoint\Config\
3. Deleted all the xml files. (But do not delete the cache.ini file.)
4. Then Edited the cache.ini and replaced the current value with "1".
5. Restarted the Windows SharePoint Services Timer service on the Central Admin server .

Running BI Configuration Wizard

Hi,
I am using Netweaver 04s system with BI JAVA and EP usage types and Spend Analytics installed.
Currently, all the BI configurations have been done and BU has been integrated to EP. The system is released to the users.
I had a check and found the BI configuraiotn wizard is not yet run on the server.
Is it possible to run the BI config wizard now? That after ths system is released and daily operations are running ccan we run config wizard at this point of time? Or we can just run config wizard only after the installation?
And if we run the config wizard now will it not affect the current settings and configurations?
Please suggest.

looks like the configuration has already been made - this would make the running of the BI config wizard unnecessary and also it has restrictions on usage which need to be followed...

Can't run Release configuration

Hi everyone,
I can run Debug configuration of my application for Mac OS X, but when I try to run Release configuration Xcode writes "The program being debugged i not being run".
I checked project settings several times. The file exists. XCode 6.2.4.
Can anyone help?

Can you run the Import Wizard more than once at the same time?

We're going to run the Import Wizard to import content from one BO environment to another. Can we, at the same time, run the Import Wizard to import different content between those two environments (using the same source and destination both times)? Obviously we'd have to run the wizard on different workstations.
Would this cause any issues? If so, what kind of issues would you expect?

Yes, this is possible. The source and destination CMSs treat the requests from the Import Wizard like any other -- increasing the number of active Import Wizard sessions just increases the load on these CMSs. Before running multiple Import Wizard sessions, be sure there is ample processing power (CPU / memory) to handle the increased load. and of course, avoid 'touching' the same content in the two sessions in order to avoid unpredictable results.

8i EE for Linux i have 2 components that fails:
- Net8 Configuration Assistan;
- Oracle Database Configuration Assistant.
The error is the same (JAVA - class not found):
After few debuging I see that the error reason is the
following:
"can't find resource for oracle.net.ca.mesg.NetCASR_en"
When I open the jar file:
$ORACLE_HOME/product/8.1.5/network/jlib/netca.jar
I see that the class oracle.net.ca.mesg.NetCASR_en is
missing. There are:
oracle.net.ca.mesg.NetCASR_de.class
oracle.net.ca.mesg.NetCASR_es.class
oracle.net.ca.mesg.NetCASR_fr.class
oracle.net.ca.mesg.NetCASR_ja.class

It is very strange that there are many languages except
English language.

Domain configuration fails in console mode

Hi everybody,
I've got a problem trying to configure a domain based on Portal Template.
If I use the wizard all works fine but if I try to use the custom mode I get a Security Configuration error.
It happens but I didn't change any security parametrs, I'd not added users or groups, I didn't enter in security session.
Did anyone get the same problem?
My system is a Solaris (I get the error with both 9 and 8 version) on Sun Spark and Weblogic Platform 8.1

There is no console mode in WebLogic 12.1.2. It has been remove.

Can I run DW4 in Safe/Single User mode?

I have downloaded DiskWarrior 4, biut I am unable to create a boot disc from the .dmg file. Is it possible to run the DW4 application from Safe Boot/Single User mode?

Once you get the physical CD in the mail, that one should boot your computer. Until then, you'll have to boot from a different drive.
I keep a copy of OS X installed on my iPod for troubleshooting purposes. It's got DiskWarrior, the AppleCare TechTool, Intech Speed Tools, etc. installed on it.

try to run the below command on all server in the farm and then run the config wizard
Get-SPProduct -Local

Does anyone know the call to make to run the domain configuration wizard in silent
mode (directly, without using the weblogic installer)?

Hello all, I am trying to execute the domain configuration wizard in silent mode,
but appear to be having some classpath problems. The class that is complains
about not finding exists in the weblogic.jar of the ebcc and server lib, but I
have tried several times and different ways (ie. export CLASSPATH, pass -classpath,
execute set-environment, etc.) to include these classes in the classpath. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. The wizard still returns that it completed
successfully, however, all of the files for the domain template have not been
copied to the new instance. An excerpt from the dmwiz filent log containing the
