Can't save/update contacts.

Hello guys, I recently updated my BB z10 to 10.3.1.1779, It lagged at first, but now its working fine untill i wanted to save a contact, when i press on a number and chose add to contact > new contact> then i write the name and everything stops, i cant save or cancle or chose any option, even write anything, untill i close it by swiping from bottom to top.
please help me with this issue, and btw, i lost many contacts after updating.

I recently updated my iPhone 4s to ios6, and lost 1200 odd contacts. I recently sold my macbook air and also my mac book pro, so have no recent backups avaiable. I have a backup from about 4-5 months ago available on an external hdd as a time machine backup. Can I add/update contacts from the back up rather than restore? The reason i wish to do this is because in the update i didnt lose any messages, so all of the people i have met and networked with since that last update those many months ago, i have in my messages listings. They are all unidentified numbers at present but over time i will be able to work through the messages and based on the conversation recall who each was with. Also, yesterday, some two weeks after the update had left my contacts list entirely empty... a vast majority just reappeard, though all of them are without any phone numbers, all just emails or facebook contacts. This is the work of facebook not mac/ios6 isnt it...? Any help here would be greatly apprecaited. I am about 2 days from flying to canada and having those contacts would make life a lot easier.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

have an explanation. If I read your error message it looks like "New Folder" is trying to create a folder ~kittie/Desktop/3 Working/Contact Pages. However, the automator "create folder" won't create folders recursively like that - it will only work if "3 Working" already exists. Certainly I was able to reproduce the 'quick flash error message and bomb out with no results' effect by asking it to produce a directory from one that didn't already exist. When I added two Finder actions it didn't work as I expected - producing 74 files in subdirectories that just looped round and round when I expected one file and one directory.
I added a shell script that renames the files too and it all works just dandy for me. If you let me know your e-mail I'll post the automator "app" file and shell script I use. It gives you sensibly named files instead of the sdkjfdfadkljfb.jpeg thing that comes out of automator.

No, the iPhone does not save anything to the SIM cards.
SIM cards have a very limited capacity anyway, and can't store the wealth of contact information an iPhone can.

Can't save/update advanced action with specific slide set to jump to

Using version 6. Experienced with Advanced Actions, but no clue what's causing this. If I include a "Jump to Slide" pointing at a certain slide in the project the action will not save or update. I can point at any other slide except the one I need. Nothing especially unique about the slide in question.

When you save/update, does it give any error/prompt?
Try creating a fresh script just with the action to jump to 'that' slide.
Also check from a regular button, if you can set on Success to jump to the particular slide.

Why can't I update contacts in address book

I cannot update contacts in my Address book. The command "L" does not work, and the menu item is grayed out. Can do it on the iPhone. Not yet transferred to the cloud, as there are 5 computers on the samd account, and only 3 of them have the Ram required for 10.7. Ordering the Ram today or tomorrow.

I used to use a a nokia but i bought an iPhone5. How can I save the contacts saved in the sim card to my iPhone?

It's really important since I can't save all my about 300 contacts again.

Several possibilities:
Transfer them from the Nokia SIM to your computer (you can get an adapter that will allow the SIM to be read by your computer). Then import them into a contacts app on your computer, and sync it to your iPhone.
Ask your carrier to transfer them to an flash drive, then import into an app on your computer.
Ask your carrier to copy the Nokia SIM to a nano SIM like the iPhone uses. Temporarily put it in the iPhone, then go to Settings/Import Contacts from SIM.
Carefully cut down the Nokia SIM so it fits the iPhone and use the import function mentioned.

I can't save my contacts through the recent call list or through a message !!! Help!

I can't save a number from like my messages when a number text me that I don't have on my phone and I can't save it through the recent call list either. I have to manually do it from my contacts! Help!! Please

The things is, I have access to all the severs with all the permissions.
I don't have that option. But I tried something new. I've put all the files in one big folder on my desktop,. It seems to work that way. It's weird cause I don't have that problem with the other adobe apps.

Can't save updates

Often I get an error message (-43) that I can't save a file that
I have already saved. Once I run permissions I can
usually continue normally. How can I prevent this from

Found the solution and it worked on my phone. It was from a later post on the same issue.
To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:
On the home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, select Options.
Select Applications.
Select Add-on.(I didnt have this on my phone, I had to go into my IM folder to find it)
Select Yahoo Messenger.
Select Delete.
Restart the BlackBerry smartphone when prompted.
Visit BlackBerry.com/yahoomessenger from the browser on the BlackBerry smartphone to re-install Yahoo! Messenger for BlackBerry smartphones version 2.5.125.

How can i save iCloud contacts on my Mac?

I would like to save a few of my icloud contacts to my computer for off-line access. I do not want to edit or sync them. Is there a way to do this? I used to remember having "On My Mac" as an option on the left side panel. And also there was an "On My Mac" set up as a local account. But I can not find it anymore.
If I export the contacts as an Archive I am unable to open them without the archive replacing all of the contacts and I certainly don't want that to happen.
Any suggestions anyone?

How can I save my contacts to other then the Outlook default

I am running on Windows XP Professional with SP3 and Office 2007 at my office. I have an iPhone 3G. My Outlook runs on a server that allows a limited amount of space and I have a local mail folder as well. Since my Outlook size is limited, I have most of my contacts in the local mail folder. Is there a way to tell iTunes to sync with the local personal folder instead of the default Contacts that is on the server? I was able to do this kind of thing before I switched to the iPhone.

Iphone 5 Can I save my contacts in a readable form or print them out from my phone

My iphone 5 is working great but I have been inconvenienced in the past because I couuld not access my contacts. I dropped my phone in a glass of koolade 45 days before the new iphone was released. I had to wait 2 months to actually reveive my new iphone. All this time my contacts were sitting there in my PC with no way to view them. Be fore another emergency strikes I would life to save or print my contacts list in a viewable form. Is this posible? With all the brains it took to create this phone it seems to me to be a no brainer that we might need to access vital information like this. Can anyone point me to a solution?

Thank you very much. I had no idea that I could take screen shots. I have 128 contacts in my phone and this is going to be time consuming. I tested your method by taking screen shots of my listing of contacts names. I am now going to take screen shots of the individual contact information. Although it will be time consuming it is the emailing of 128 pictures that gives me pause. Do you happen to have a way to batch email pictures?
I have decided to run these through an OCR program so i can build an editable database in my computer.
