  • Related Integration server for Business System  in SLD

    HI All,
IN SLD we have one Technical System for PI and one TS for R/3 System.
When I crating Business System for R/3 in R/3 TS, in Integration Tab what I have to select for Related Integration Server option.
It is having None and Business System of PI TS System.
    Please help me in this.
    Regards,
    Sree

    Hey
Looks like you are defining this Business system as a Integration server.
See here is what you need to do.
Step 1:First of all create a business system for XI system itself, this business system will have details of XI system and its role will be Integration server. You can have only 1 Integration server(hence you are getting the error).
Step 2:Now define a business system of type Web as ABAP for R/3 system, this system will have role as Application system but the related integration server will be the name of the business system of PI system(the one which you defined in Step 1).
As of now,are you getting any business system name in the drop down box for related integration server while creating business system for R/3 in SLD?
    If yes,then simply select that
    Thanx
    Aamir

    Problem:
No integration server is available in the drop-down for "Related Integration Server".
Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?
    Please help.

  • Related Integration Server

    Hello All
Regarding this subject I found threads in this Forum, but had no answer.
My question is in "Related Integration Server:" In  Business System I see
    "No Integration Servers defined".
Could someone help, what is missing, why there is no Integration Server listed ?:
Pls note : the XI was installed recently by the Admins.
    Thanks
    Vinod

    Hi Vinod,
I think post installation configurations are not completed yet. Can you check with the admin whether PI is configured or not.
if not follow this steps for PI configuration
1.first run all the post installation configuration templates. then you will get a technical entry.
2.procedure to run the Post installation templates.
    3.go to this http link
    http://<xihostname>:50000/index.html
then go to SAP NetWeaver Administration
4.Deploy and change and run the templates for NWD,SLD and PI templates.
5.After post installation, import the XI BASIS Content to the design environment.

  • [XI] Missing related integration server in SLD

    Hi Experts.
I'm very new in SAP Netweaver and it's components. Now I study <b>XI</b> and I would like to config some simple scenarios (FILE-XI-FILE etc). My colleague have installed XI on our machine and everything set up as well. I started with <b>SLD</b> in order to configure Technical systems and Bussiness systems. At first, I configured <b>Technical system</b> as <b>Third-Party system</b> and then I start to configure <b>Bussiness system</b>. I used Third-Party system as well and when I was on the last step of the Business system wizard. The Business System role was preddefined (Application System) and unabled to change. I wanted to choose from the List of Related Integration Servers, but there is <b>nothing in the list</b>. Now I'm helpless and I don't know how to get the name of the integration server to the list. Could anyone help me with my issue? Any help would be welcome. Thanks

    Hi
Thank you for your help. Your posts were helpful, but it didn't solve my problem yet. Look at that scenario: <a href="/people/srinivas.vanamala2/blog/2007/02/05/step-by-step-guide-xml-file-2-xml-file-scenario-part-i:///people/srinivas.vanamala2/blog/2007/02/05/step-by-step-guide-xml-file-2-xml-file-scenario-part-i. I have exactly followed <b>that scenario</b> and in the <b>step 6</b> I wanted to choose <b>related integration server</b> (in that scenario it's <b>SXI</b>) but I have an <b>empty list</b> of my related integration servers. In SLD I tried in Administration->Content Maintenance->(subset)Landscape Description->(class)XI Domain and I found out that there are <b>XI Contained Adapter and XI Contained Integration Server</b> associated with it. So is there needed some configuration in Content maintenance in order to solve my problem. Probably my question isn't very well described, but I'm sorry because I don't have any experience with XI and I just started with it. <u><i><b>So my question again: How will I get the name of my integration server to be in that list (like in that scenario in step 6 ...)?</b></i></u>

  • Change the Releated Integration Server for all Business Systems

    Hello,
    follow Scenario:
We export the SLD entries from a Development System in a file.
Now we want to import the Entries in our Prod.-System, and we
have to assign (or change) to other Related Integration Server.
e.g. the esported Business System has in Development the
Related Integration Server D12, but in the Productive System we
    need P12.
Is there a other possibility as  to change first things first.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Stephan,
I think this is not the correct approach because development and productive systems are different. You must register your technical systems by means of RZ70 transactions. If you have two different landscapes (DEV, PROD) you must register on two SLD servers.
    Doc about SLD: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b09fe69e-46be-2a10-9fb0-9c11aeaa3557

  • Use of Related integration Server in SLD

    Hi all,
I understand that ‘Related integration Server’ from SLD is used when we have proxies. Is there any other use for it?
    cheers
    danus

    Hi,
The Related Integration Server is used to assign your Business System to a Transport Group.
When you create a Transport Group in the SLD you assign the corrsponding Integartion server to this transport Group.
Now, when your create a Business System and assign the Related Integration server , this assigns the Business System to the correspinding Transport Group.
The best use case is when you have a single SLD being shared between Dev , QA and Prod.
The Related Integartion Server has nothing to do with proxuies.

  • Related integration server in business system

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying to create a business system of type WebAS ABAP , in the last step ( Integration Step )  i have selected
<b>  Business System role :</b> Application system
But in the   <b>Related integration server :</b> drop down i am not getting any values .. what could be the reason . What should i do to get values ??

    Hi,
In your SLD , is there a Business System that has been registered with the Role <b>Integration Server?</b> . You need to do this as a part of your post installation activities of XI and I think this is not done.
Once you create a Business System of role Integration Server you will then be able to find the option Related Integration Server with a value to be selected.

  • How can we position 5 Database Server for a centralized Database ?

    1) We are providing a e governance solution for an organization, where we are providing a  centralized database,Client have provided 5 Database server for the same.how can we position the Database Server? there are 5000 Concurrent users and 25000 users,SAN
Storage for approx. 60 TB,Database size of 2 TB and growth of 1 TB every year
    2) How many instance can we have for above said Case?
    3) How much RAM Required ?

    Thanks for sharing information!!
DB size is going to be too huge, you need to check for data archival option along with proper compression option.
As per requirement, you need good server setup like; CPU: 4 cpu, 12 cores and RAM will be good to start with 256 GB.
When you say 5 db server, is that it means 5 physical server not db instances rt?
If that is the case then you can go for SQL Server 2014 to use that in memory options along with so many good support for temppdb, query optimization due to cardinality changes, SSD support etc.
    Intances will be:
INS1, 2 : main instance and archival instance, using first two servers out of 5 servers.
INS3: DR server, if it will not be active all the time and then we can easily check for 1/4 load on DR server so you can configure AlwaysOn to check INS1 and DR instance to get all HA DR part too.
In case of INS4, INS5 can be used for reporting purpose being configured as other replication to act as local DR too.
Hopefully I have covered all the available objects you have.

  • Can I install OS X Server for Leopard on Macs running non-server Tiger?

I need to install OS X Server on a small business network of 5 Macs and 2 pc's. I need to run Mac software on the pc's using Aqua and need to use the pc's to run software that won't run on the Macs.
All my Macs run 10.4.11 (non-server), so what I need to know is will I be able to buy and install OS X Server (Leopard)? Or do I need to buy OS X Server (Tiger)?
And if I can use the Leopard Server version, can I also install it on my Macs at home that don't connect to the work network?
    Thanks, Ted

    I'm a little confused here.
I need to run Mac software on the pc's using Aqua
Running Mac OS X Server on the Macs won't help here. You can't run Mac software on a PC. The best you can do is screen-share (so the PC can run software that lets it see and control the Mac's screen), but you don't need Mac OS X Server for that.
All my Macs run 10.4.11 (non-server), so what I need to know is will I be able to buy and install OS X Server (Leopard)? Or do I need to buy OS X Server (Tiger)?
You can't but Mac OS X Server 10.4 at all now. It's been EOL for a year or more (I forget when Leopard was released now). Your only option is to buy Leopard Server.
As to whether you can install Leopard Server, that depends on the hardware you're running. If it meets (or exceeds) the minimum specifications for Mac OS X Server then yes, you can install it. Whether it will solve your goals depends on quite what those goals are.
And if I can use the Leopard Server version, can I also install it on my Macs at home that don't connect to the work network?
You can install it on any system you're licensed for. Since each copy of Mac OS X Server is licensed for a single system only, you'll need to buy additional licenses for your machine(s) at home.
