Hi Guys I have SOLUTION for that. I perhaps could not attach my file here but let me still tell you the solution.
You need "Application.ini" file from any other pc having Mozilla over it. There is no complex information in this file although. I will past code of that file here so you could copy that to your file as it is.
After doing this if you get any different error prompting for version error then open this "Application.ini" file again where you just copied code. and change the version (you will find version text on second line at end) to appropriate one according to the Error Alert you just encountered before.
That's it.
Application.ini File Code is below
(whole code must come in three lines, I can see line break special characters in special rectangular format)

  • I'll appreciate your suggestions as Firefox is not opening. A window warns: "XULRUNNER. Error: App: Name not specified in application.ini"

When trying to open Firefox a small warning window labeled XULRUNNER is appearing, with the text: "Error. App: Name not specified in application.ini", and an "accept" button. When you click in "accept" the warn ing window closes, but then nothing more happens.
I have no idea what is going on. Any ideas?

This is most likely caused by Zone Alarm software. Please check http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/880170

  • When I try to use firefox, I get the this message: error: App:Name not specified in application.ini

I cannot access firefox 0n my other computer. I just get this error message: error:App:Name not specified in application.ini

  • Foxfire won't open message says Error:App: Name not specified in application.ini

That is all...I can't get Foxfire to open. The error message stops it when I click ok it goes away. I ran my Symantex protection last night and now Foxfire won't open.

    Do a clean (re)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Firefox is freezing in the middle of a browsing session. When I close Firefox, and try to re-start it, it will not open. I need to access Task Manager, where I find Firefox to still be running. Once I close Firefox in Task Manager, I can re-start Firefox. This can happen several times in the space of a few hours? I'm running Vista Home premium with Firefox 3.6.16, and this problem has only started in the last 4 weeks. Can Anyone Help? Core 2 Duo E7300 with 4GB RAM.

  • How can I start firefox with new tab instead of blank page?

Today I update firefox to 13.0. I like the new "new type". I want to konw how can I start firefox with new tab instead of blank page?
I don't want to change the homepage to about:newtab.
    Sorry for my bad English.

This is a very annoying thing. Every update from Firefox resets this config setting back to about:newtab. I changed '''''browser.newtab.url''''' in 12.x to '''''about:blank''''' and it resetted back in update 13.0 and now I have to do the same thing again in 13.0.1.
The drawback with about:newtab is Firefox opens up dataports for every URL that are linked and gets reopened for every lame 'newtab' you click on. Just use [http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx Tcpview - data port viewer] and watch how many extra dataports that opens up from this crazy 'feature'.

  • My ver. 2.0.0.17 of Firefox wouldn't start and gave me an error that said "couldn't find applications.ini so I reloaded it and it upgraded to ver. 2.0.0.20.

My ver. 2.0.0.17 of Firefox suddenly, without warning, wouldn't start and gave me an error that said "couldn't find applications.ini and trying to start it in "safe mode" didn't work either, so I reloaded it... then it worked and it upgraded me to ver. 2.0.0.20.
Is this a common problem with just that version, or across the board?
I also downloaded version 3.6.3, will that suddenly have the same problem? Is there a quick fix if that happens again?
    I have Win XP Home.

  • Firefox has repeatedly gone into "Not responding", needing me to force close it (or it will bomb out eventually) - always with Hotmail, possibly related to "Error! Filename not specified." being added to some e-mails when using FF .... any ideas?

Not much more to add, other than this current and very interesting thread elsewhere:
    http://www.google.co.uk/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=3ed94668bd00125f&hl=en
I first picked out Firefox as being a common feature to the words "Error! Filename not specified." being added to e-mails (the thread talks about gmail, but I am finding it with Hotmail too) and other contributors note FF has suddenly started locking up unusually frequently. FF has always been stable for me with Hotmail until now - other (non-email) web sites are okay. I have McAfee Internet Security and Ad-Aware installed, both up-to-date and both show the PC to be clean. I've also updated all plugins etc - again, the problem persists.

Okay, it's McAfee Site Advisor clashing with Firefox (I'm running FF v3.6.13). Disable McAfee Site Advisor by:
    Firefox > Tools > Add-ons > Extensions > McAfee Site Advisor > Disable and re-start Firefox.
Stability returns to Firefox, Hotmail no longer locks up and no longer adds "Error! Filename not specified." and a bunch of grey squares to the end of sent e-mails.
    Thanks to those at:

  • Apache reports error 405 Method Not Allowed

Hello, I have been attempting AJAX techniques on a portlet and am getting a weird error message in apache's access log. I checked the logs because the requestObject.open method I am using in some javascript was not returning any results.
Apache is reporting error '405 Method Not Allowed' on my attempts to connect to a servlet from a portlet.
I have found doc 427497.1 which gives three steps to solving this. The steps are to fix your hosts file, make sure your url does not resolve to a public address, and restart OC4J. But my hosts file is correct, and the url I have does not resolve to a public address.
I'm following the steps in Oracle's "Building Highly Interactive Portlets With AJAX".
This ajax test is being run deployed on OAS; not from JDeveloper. This OAS is infrastructure and middle-tier on same box. Portal, Forms and Reports are working great.
When I access the servlets url directly from my browser, it works. This error only happens when I attempt to access the servlet from a portlet.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Reposted in Portal - General.
    Sorry.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!
