Can we add custom Service Component categories?

Hi Experts, when we open up the Business Service form, and then navigate to the "Service Components" tab, we're able to add a Category in the Service Components section of the form, when we click "Add Category", we're presented with a
list of 8 default categories to choose from -- Can we add to this list our own custom categories?

    Here is my problem. I just created a subclass of Document using the API (not XML), by creating a ClassObjectDefinition and a ClassObject. Here is the code :

    But i got the following error message :

    you're welcome. Don't know exactly, but assume that ATTRIBUTEDATATYPE_UNKNOWN
    is used to check for erronous cases only
    and it shouldn't be used otherwise.
    Creating your own objects could be simply done via
    ClassObject ifsClassObject;
    DocumentDefinition ifsDocDef = new DocumentDefinition(ifsSession);

    Do it thru the third tab : Single Screen.
    There write down the infotype number (e.g. 0022) and say generate objects.

    I have question. I need to add custom attributes of document uploaded in CS.
    I know about categories, and it will help me.
    But i need it on the properties page? in main tab, where docname, creationdate, etc. appears. Is it possible?
    Ideally it should appears in main window of CS, without any additional clicks.
    Is there any way organize it without development new Web Services?

    One possible way of doing this would be to use the $A mapping in the send_access mapping table. see http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/messaging/ims52/ag/filter.htm#15965
    This will depend on what value you wish to use in the header and when and where during the message routing you want to add the header.
    You can use channel level filters on the send_access or orig_send_access mapping table to control at which point the header is added but without knowing more about what you wish to do and which conditions you wish to use to add the header it is difficult to say more. It is possible to use a "customer supplied routine (in the form of a shared object call) from the mapping process, but during the mapping process the only information available to the routine is the sender and recipient info so that probably isnt suitable for your purposes.
    Another method of header manipulation in IMS is channel header option files but these should be used with caution and will only operate on "known" headers and as a result are probably not of too much use to you either.

    but Im afraid I cant point you at an example of where it has been used like this - perhaps someone else can.
    WRT moving the message to the top of the message list - I presume this is from the clients perspective - How did you accomplish this in NMS as message views and sorting are almost exclusively a client responsibility ?
    Also have you looked at the ENS service available with IMS?
    Sorry I cant offer anything more than that but without knowing what functions your previous SMTP plugin performed its a bit difficult.

  • Can we trust customer service?

    Hopefully someone from VZW can help me, otherwise this will be another complaint against VZW.
    When I had purchased a new phone (outside VZW), I had contacted VZW customer service to inquire about waiving my activation/upgrade fee of $30.  When I talked to the rep, I mentioned that I have been a subscriber for well over 10 years and was wondering if they could help.  Well, he said thank you for being a long time customer and said that he can help with that.  At the time, he told me that it shoudl be no problem and that that they also had a promo around Christmas time that it would be waived.  How it was communicated to me was the the fee could waived when I activated.  I had asked the rep to note it my accocunt and call history and he said OK.
    Well, not that I get my bill, I saw the $30 charge (along with the taxes and surcharges associated with this $30).  I was called customer service and also talked to a supervisor and they were not able to waive the charge.  Apparently, the first rep I talked to around Christmas time noted it on my account that it would only be waived if I activated by 12/24....it was communicated differently to me.  I activated that phone 12/27.
    I'm just very disappointed that there is no other avenue for someone to help, especially since I have been pretty loyal to VZW.  I'm also disappointed that they did away with the email inquiry and support (I used to email them and they would get back to me right away and with very favorable resolution)...there was a time when their support did help me and did take into account my loyalty and all my on-time payments.  I have 5 lines on a family plan and slowly, I am adding data to each line (not all of them have it...yet).
    But if this is the model that VZW is heading (or already there), it doesn't make any difference which company to go to.  Just go with the cheapest company, i suppose.  For me, I can afford to since I live in an area that has coverage from the major cell providers.
    Verizon, if you can help, feel free to respond to this to see what you can do.  It's not like I am always disputing this or that....just been paying my bills on time.  I have no problem paying for things that I signed up for, but the fact that the customer rep said one thing and "gave the impression" that the fee would be waived, I feel disappointed and not given accurate information.

    I get what you're saying, and I understand that I will have to pay the fee, but the fact that I called specifically asking if it could be done and was told explicitly that they could waive it.  Also told me that he couldn't waive it unless it was charged already (which I have not activated yet).  Now, you can argue that this isn't part of the contract...but the fact that I called specifically asking about it and the representative told me "yes" and that it shouldn't be a problem.  After he said that, he also checked on promotions and said that they are waived it until the 24th.  I asked him to make sure to document our conversation, which he complied, but I guess he only documented half the conversation.
    So I guess what you're saying is that the customer service representatives don't necessarily have to give accurate information?  He had time to find out...I was on hold when he went to ask about it.  This misinformation is a reflection on Verizon as a company.  I suppose that's the problem with customer service these days and with a lot of these large companies.
    It never hurts to ask for anything, but if he had said at first that they couldn't do it and it would only be waived during a certain period, I would have activated by then.  But I told him my intent on activating right after Christmas....the rep told me that he documented our conversation and it should not be a problem.
    I've had times where my phone inadvertently used data (before data plans became the norm) and a simple call to customer service took care of those charges, which was a "bend" from the contract.
    As for entitlements....sometimes it's good to have it.  Do they have to?  Of course not....but could they?  They could to keep business.  I routinely give my business to the companies that have treated me well...even given me perks (hotels, car rental, restaurants, etc).
    Contract does not excuse being okay to give out wrong information.

    i have searched all over this site and can find places to provide feedback for the website, programs, etc. but nowhere can I find where I can email someone about my dissatisfaction with the genius bar (in case you are wondering ... despite having apple care the person did not help me when Eudora crashed and couldn't be re-opened. I wanted to recover my mail. It crashed bc my battery died [of course battery not covered by apple care]. I personally figured out how to recover my mail (my "genius issue") using the Mac Mail program. The genius would not help me because , as he repeated over and over, Eudora is not Made By Apple. Yeah, well, I know that , but Mail(tm) is!!
    Anyway --
    I can find nowhere to note my dissatisfaction to someone In The Office.

    I really don' t think calling the store is going to be effective because everyone who works there has entered into a camraderie with each other and I'm just a "complaining customer".
    The person in charge of the running the Apple Store where the "Genius" works has, imo, the most vested interest in seeing that his/her personnel provide the best customer service possible. He or she is charge of all facets of the store's operations, including the service rendered by the "Geniuses" employed there.
    By all means, feel free to complain to someone in Cupertino -- you can write them and include all the details you want at this address:

    But when you're done venting to someone far removed from the problem, my advice is that you also complain to the person best situated and most motivated to do something to do something about -- the manager of the Apple Store where the "genius" you complain of is employed.

    You can't add it to the 'guts' of the iPad. It's a sealed system.
    What you can do is go for a device like a Mifi. It's a battery operated portable wifi hotspot that you can then connect your ipad to.
    I believe that every major provider has their version of the device so look for hte provider that offers you the best options and go from there.

    i just recently was laid off from my job. I have been trying to contact customer service to hopefully be able to do a payment arraignment, but every effort I make has been unsuccessful. On hold when I call for 45mins or more, I am left on hold or no one responds to my chats when I do it online & now I ma using this as my final option. Please someone from Verizon please contact me. I do not want my service disconnected, my credit ruined & I want to still use your service.

    I have had this same problems numerous times, between Verizon Wireless and Verizon FIOS.  The only time you can reach someone quickly is if you want to buy something.  Once they have you as a customer then they ignor you.  The custtomer service is the worse that I have ever seen.  I have just spent 1 hr and 5 minutes on hold waiting for someone to answer a billing question where I have a charge for equipment in November and I haven't change anything recently.  Maybe if Verizon had a mangagement team that really cared about customers, they would provide a customer service department that showed this. I would like a call from a Verizon Manager.

  • Can't Find Customer Service Support through Phone

    We have a HP Officejet 7210 All in One printer and yesterday we found a problem with the electrical connector from the printer to the ink Cartridge and from the HP website and error message, we found that the X-Bias Spring was dislodged and it can't detect the cartridge.
    This morning, I call the customer support and trying to find a solution to fix the problem. Due to the fact that the printer was out of warranty, thus, we are willing to pay HP to find a service center to service it according to the HP website self help link

    However, the customer service representative that I spoke to is trying to ask me to upgrade and buy a new printer instead of trying to find a solution to fix the printer problem, if I want a new printer, i would look for new printer, but all we need is to service that printer. 
    I am trying to ask her to help me find a authorized HP service center that I can bring it in or ship to fix the problem and pay for the service, however, she asked me to search for itself, and if I can find it, I won't spent half an hour on the phone with the customer service. 
    Guess what, she put on on hold and never get back to me after she said that she will try to find the information on where I can find the service center. I tried to get her name or customer service ID so that I will have a record on what was happening and she refused to give it to me. 
    ALL i need is a place that I can bring the printer for HP to service. Otherwise, I can just bring it to any other local printer shop. 

    HP doesnt repair the printers, but instead replace them with working ones. If the printer is under warranty, they replace it for free, and if it's OOW, then it'll be a paid replacement. Since you printer is not being sold or manufactured anymore, the printer can only be traded in for another printer of a higher series, and this trade-in will be charged also. In HP's terms, this is known as an OOW upgrade, which the customer service rep. told you about. The broken X-bias spring most likely cannot be fixed at any service center. And even if they can replace teh carriage slot that holds the cartridges and the X-bias spring, it may not be very cost effective. So the better option would be to go for the upgrade that the Customer Service told you about. It'll be less time-consuming and less-troublesome. Besides, you'll get a full 1-yr. limited hardware warranty on the upgrade printer, so it's as good as buying a new printer.

    1. I have spent the last 1 1/2 hours trying to find an email address for Customer Service, is there one and how do I get to it?
    2. I have noticed a number of calls to and from the "233" and "324" area codes, but when I look them up on an area code search site they don't seem to exist. How can I be charged for calls to a non-existent area code?
    3. Also, my husband changed phone numbers mid July and I would like to see the calls from that number (removed) as well as from his current number (removed) on the same bill.  Or at least be given a chance to view the charges on that number for the beginning of the billing period.
    Anybody have answers to these three questions?

    I too had spent close to an hour today on hold with Verizon Wireless.  I have been with them since they started.  The service was first called Air Touch then it changed to Verizon.  I was treated like crap at the company Burbank, CA store at the Media Center.  I wanted to E-mail customer service about the issue and there is no E-mail address.  I was unable to connect with someone live.  What is up with this company. They have gone downhill very fast.  They used to be very caring about their customers.  I am due for an Iphone upgrade.  I could had bought an Iphone 5s but waited for the Iphone 6 to come out.  I went to the Burbank store and asked if there was any Iphone 6 or 6 plus 64g for sale and there was only a 128g available.  I have no use for that much memory and did not want to spend the extra money to buy the phone.  I also had a question about both phones and I wanted them to release the sample phones that were locked to the table so I could see which one would work for me.  I wanted to see how each phone feels being operated by one hand and how the new phone would feel in my front pocket.  That is where I keep my Iphone 4 phone.  The store would not give me the time of day since they knew I was not buying that day.  The Verizon store reminded me of a car dealership and I think many people know how frustrating it is to deal with a car sales person.  I am thinking of leaving Verizon.  Today was the last straw.  The only problem is they have the best coverage across the United States and since they know that they could care about customer service.
