Can we get put info from database to excel and download file?

I want to pull specific information from the database and then put it in an excel file. I want to then be able to download that file from a jsp page at the click of a button/link.
Can someone give an idea about how this can be done.. If you can show some code that would be very useful.

Well I think the easiest way to do this would be to use JNDI and write a simple VB app or something to use excel (of course the downside of this is that it ties you to winblows).
The only reason I say this is simpliest is because there are no real good ways to create and xls file through java. I think there are some third party libraries out there for this but not sure where they are or how to use them.

You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Firstly, try a hard reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, try restoring your device. Put it in recovery mode if iTunes doesn't recognise it, and restore it from there. I have linked to instructions below.

Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap your Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign back in. The App Store will automatically change to the store from which your account is authorized to make purchases.

what is desc? is it the file name ? whats the data type of desc in db? INFILE?
if desc is just the name of the file, then make sure that such a file exists in the proper folder.only then the link works..
that is, if desc is 'a.jpg' then a.jpg should be existing in the same folder as your html is.

I can't get my info from my handheld to my pc

I had to reload windows xp on my laptop. I reloaded my Zire 71software and I even updated it on line. Everything seems to be working, including hot sync, no error messages, but I can't get the info on my handheld to go on to my pc. Thanks for your help.

If everything is hotsyncing without errors then the data is going somewhere. Make sure there is data on the handheld or PC to sync then open your Palm Desktop app on your computer. In there, check around to see if you have any data there that was on the device. If not look in the upper right hand side of Palm Desktop and you should see a drop down box with "Users" next to it. Click the drop down box and see if there are other users there. If so, click on them and see if the data transferred to a different user.

From database to excel and back to database from excel - how?

Environment: db 8,10 server (HPUX), IAS (SUSE), forms6i,10+report6i,10
On principle there is no problem to get data from database to excel but there is the problem how to get data from excel back to database. I don't have intention to use APEX. The goal is to move the cursor to certain row in excel sheet and depends of data in this row call Oracle form in query only mode. Here is the solution to write URL into the excel cell but still exists the problem how to reduce number of session because each call of the form open the new session what I don't like to do.

Inolau, I'd like to open form between watching excel sheet depends of data in excel. For example:

I was in a car collision and need proof of my location when I called 911. The Police Dept., refused to respond, since there were no injuries.
Now, I have a dispute with the other driver who is falsely stating accident happened at another intersection. In addition of calling 911 twice, I also took pictures of damages. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the intersection signs.
My AT&T carrier states that this info. can only be disclosed by a subpoena. My insurance carrier states that they will not subpoena this info., since it is a civil case only.
The Police Department does not keep records of calls they do not attend to.
How can I get this location info. from my i phone device if at all possible?

How can you get selection info from air html component?

In Air, I want to be able to have an html component that

app, I want to add highlight tags to the htmltext string around the

The problem is, I have no idea how to get info about what

How can I get Time Machine to only backup new and changed files?

Time machine is backing up more than just new and changed files and is filling up my back up disk too fast. How can I change it so that it will only back up the new or changed files instead of the whole drive? I used to have my backups go back months, but now it is backing up only a couple days back, since there is no room left on my back up hard drive. Each back up is like 400 gigs, instead of just the amount of the changed or new files.

Thank you Eric! I did go look at this info and tried to do a full reset of TM and I am still getting full backups of my HD instead of just new/changed files. The weird thing is that I have 9 BU's from over the last 2 days and they all seem to be around 415 gigs and my backup HD is only 750 gigs! I don't get it. It shows that I have around 75 gigs of free space on that 750 gig drive. It doesn't make sense.
So I am having the same problems even after doing the full reset of TM. I am using Mavericks 10.9.5 which they don't talk about in this info.
Does anyone have any further ideas on this? I don't understand how I could possibly have that many full BU's on my HD that is only 750 gigs.
