Urgent_Vendor segmentation in Oracle R12 supplier hub

Hi,
Client has a requirement that system should automatically define the vendor segmentation based on their own criteria.
For example, custom program identifies all the suppliers who met the crietria and update the field value (field values are tier1, tier2, tier3, tier4) accordingly in the supplier profile in R12 supplier hub
Question- Please let me know the options to implement this in Oracle.
Thanks

Hi Vidhu,
Every supplier will have a site meant for different purposes ... at the backend they are stored in AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL table ...
If you query this table, you can find the list of supplier sites that are enabled for Purchase Site assignment and Payment Sites assignment ....
i.e.
Select VENDOR_ID, VENDOR_SITE_ID, ORG_ID, PURCHASING_SITE_FLAG, PAY_SITE_FLAG from AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL
From Vendor ID you can find the supplier name and number from AP_SUPPLIERS table
From Vendor Site ID you can find the supplier site name from AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL table
From ORG_ID you can find the operating unit name from HR_OPERATING_UNITS
I would recommend enabling the Pay_site_flag for the supplier sites that are enabled for Purchase site flag and assigned to operating unit already .....
Since you cannot create Invoice for a supplier site, if the site is not enabled for Pay_Site_flag, and you cannot create purchase order for a supplier site, if the site is not enabled for Purchasing_site_flag... hence from business perspective they need a site in every operating unit which is enabled for Pay_site_flag and Purchasing_site_flag ...

Ivruksha

  • R12: Creating Descrptive Flexfields in R12- Supplier Entry Form ...

    Hello:
In R12- Suppliers , is there a new way for creating descriptive flexfields than the way it is used to be created in the past ?
I am looking for the name of the descriptive flexfields for Additional Information Section in the Supplier Orgaizations tab. I cannot find them anywhere ...
    Yesh

    Srini:
The below is what the Metalink note states .....
+" In R12, the Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) is defined the same way as in 11i, using the Descriptive Flexfield Segments form. Once it has been defined, you can see it in the Organization page of the Supplier form under the heading "Additional Information".+
But I cannot find this DFF anywhere .... what is the name of this DFF and under which application (Payables, ISupplier, etc) ?

  • UPK creation issues (Firefox 3.6.1, Oracle R12 (12.1.3), HP-UNIX)

Hi, our organization is testing the following software upgrades:
    - Oracle R12 (from 11)
    - For HRMS, replacing IE 6 with Firefox 3.6.1
Based on an email from one of our clients:
    - Trouble recording UPK in HRMS R12 with Firefox (works fine in R12 with IE6)
    - Example - did not register the field being clicked on
    - Some system prompts did not generate
    - System generated prompts not appearing in Topic Editor
    - When you publish or preview the UPK, the default prompt to enter characters is typo-ridden and says:
    -- "Entera valid valuee.g."Training Supplier 1."
    - Strangely, when copied-and-pasted, the typos disappeared.
    - And within the Topic Editor, the typos are also absent. They only seem to appear when actually using the UPK.
Any tips would be much appreciated! Let me know if more detail needed.
    Thanks
    Bill

    Hi Bill,
What build of UPK is being used - 3.6.1?
Have you applied any applicable Service Enablement Packs - specifically for versions 3.6.1 (SP3 available) and 11(SP1 available)?
I had a similar issue although it was with R11 and applying SP3 on UPK 3.6.1 sorted out all of my Firefox issues.
    I hope this helps somewhat.

  • How to prepare for the EBS R12 Supply Chain OCE Certification

    Hello everybody,
I post this thread because I'm going to take the exams to get the certification as Oracle EBS R12 Supply Chain Certified Expert Consultant and I'd like to understand how to best prepare myself.
Is there anyone who has already got this certification and can indicate me the best material to prepare myself?
I've worked on Oracle EBS (R11) for more than nineteen months up to now, focusing on the purchasing area, but I don't think that that could be sufficient to pass the required exams...
    Thank you very much

  • Importing Payment from a Legacy to Oracle R12

    All,
There is a requirement for me to import all the payments which have been made thru a legacy system to Oracle R12. Is there any standard interfaces available? If yes, please let me know. If not, what is the best way to import such info to Oracle?
    Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sen.

    Gajendra,
    Many thanks for your reply.
Our customer doesnt want to make payment from Oracle payables, instead they have a independent payment module system thru which the payments are made to their suppliers. In this case, they want to sync all the info back to the Oracle apps in a periodical manner. I'm looking for ways to do this integration. There are/is no standard interface tables for payment import. I'm thinking of other options like writing the custom tables. If this is the case, what are all the standard validation required to perform, what are all the Oracle payment base tables etc. I'm looking for such options.
Please let me know your suggestion
    Thanks,
    Sen

  • Do you know how to import Tax Registrations for Supplier Hub

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to import Tax Registrations for Supplier Hub? Which API/Interface can do that? The Oracle table is zx_registrations. We need to import Supplier information, include Tax Detail information.
    Anyone can help on this?
    Best Regards,
    Eileen

Your English is fine, certainly a lot better than my anything else!
If the lrcat file(s) really is/are gone then yes I'm afraid your edits probably are lost.  As you have surmised, the way LR works is to store a database of all the changes you have made to your raw files.  If you don't also save these changes to xmp side-cars and you lose the catalog then Lightroom cannot tell what edits you've done to your files.
Check your recycle/trash bin for lrcat files and also, before you do any more work on the computer use some recovery software to look for the possibly deleted lrcat file.  Just Google for recovery and you should find many such software out there, some free.  They will search for files that have been deleted and it will help if you know part of the file name though you could just look for lrcat, or since deletion often means file name corruption just part of the file name.
How did the lrcat file get lost/deleted?  I don't know, by accident?  Virus?  Each is possible.  This really does stress the importance of regularly backing up not just your raw files but also your Lightroom catalog.
    I wish you luck.

  • Need help for learning how to develop interfaces for Oracle R12 EBS

    Hi all,
I need to learn how to create interfaces in PL/SQL for Oracle R12 EBS Financials. I cannot find a good starting point for the documentation and examples to help me get started in this area. Would appreciate tips
    for this area.

    Hi,
What kind of interfaces you are planning to develop?
Oracle already provides list of APIs that can be used (in R12, it is responsibility).
Oracle Integration Repository Documentation Resources Release 12 [ID 396116.1]
    Oracle Integration Repository
    http://irep.oracle.com/index.html
If those APIs do not satisfy your requirements, you can refer to "Oracle Applications Developer" guide as well as SQL-PL/SQL guides.

  • R12 Supplier Conversion by using API  OR Standard interface table ?

R12 Supplier Conversion should be done via  API  OR  Standard interface table? Why ?
Which approach is more suitable  kindly let us know your thoughts.
    Thanks  in advance

We have used interface tables just to have better control and reprocessing abilities. You may need to be little careful about the TCA tables.
