Cannot access directory services

cisco unified call manager 5.0(4) services like corporate directory and logout service,keep on hanging periodically,when this happens it also affects the logout service,any ideas ?

Hi stingray34,
This issue may occur if TCP/IP filtering is configured to permit only port 80 for TCP/IP traffic. Plese try the following steps to solve this issue:
Port 389 is used for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) connections. This port is blocked if TCP/IP filtering is configured incorrectly. By default, TCP/IP filtering is configured with the
Permit All setting. To verify and correct this setting:
Right-click My Network Places on the domain controller on which you cannot start Active Directory Users and Computers, and then click
Properties.
Click Internet Protocol, and then click Properties.
Click Advanced.
Click Options.
Click TCP/IP Filtering, and then click Properties.
For the TCP/IP Port setting, click Permit All.
Restart the computer. This opens all TCP ports, including port 389.

Lany Zhang

  • Cannot access directory javax/servlet

    I am having a problem getting started here with Borland JBuilder 8 SE.
    I have Tomcat installed and it runs fine with the servlets/jsp pages I ran from the index page when you first install Tomcat.
    I am running windows 2000. When I installed JBuilder the Java 2 SDK v1.4.1 was installed with it. I have run applets... java.exe is located in the jbuilder folder, don't know if this is a problem. I have set my JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the bin folder in the 1.4.1 java.exe location.
    I am following a book that works with servlets and jsp primarily. When I typed in my first servlet that I copied from the book, JBuilder gives me a document location error:
    cannot access directory: javax/servlet at line...
    it is pointing to my import statement: "import javax.servlet.*;" and "import javax.servlet.http.*;".
    I have tried to add the servlet.jar file to my project but the results are the same.
    Can anybody give me a hand?
    thanks,
    Rob

    The fastest way for JBuilder to see it is just to create a library for servlet.jar and add it to the project.
    Tools->Configure Libraries->New
    Then browse to the location of the servlet.jar and call the library SERVLET.
    Project->Project Settings->Required Libraries
    Then add this library and try to build your project.
    JBuilder will automatically add it to the classpath when it compiles the project that way.

  • Error: cannot access directory oracle\jsp\runtime

    I got this error when try to add a existing project to JDeveloper 9.0.3.4
    Error: cannot access directory oracle\jsp\runtime; verify that directory is reachable from classpath and/or sourcepath
    can someone help me?

    Xinwei -
    Make sure you have added the correct libraries to your project; adding JSP Runtime to your project should alleviate this error.
    Hope this helps,

  • Cannot access directory oracle\jbo\Client

    Hi
    I got this error on trying out a batch client approach,
    Error(3,1): cannot access directory oracle\jbo\Client; verify that directory is reachable from classpath and/or sourcepath
    Can anyone advise where I can find this "oracle\jbo\Client"?
    Was it an installation or configuration problem?
    Many Thanks

    There are various predefined "BC4J .." libraries available in the ide. For exmaple If you are using the bc4j ejb client then goto
    Project Properties->Libraries and
    "BC4J EJB client" to the selected list.

  • Cannot Access the Service Partition after installing Lenovo Driver and Application Installation

    I recently upgraded my Lenovo 3000 H210, M/T 5355-2NU from Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) to Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) with the media received through the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Fulfillment Program.
    I installed the 64-bit version of the Common Components Installation v1.0.0.8 and restarted the computer and then installed the 64-bit version of the Lenovo Driver and Application Installation program, v5.1.0.0900.  After
    restarting the computer, I receive a message box stating "Cannot access the Service Partition".  If I click on
    Lenovo Driver and Application Installation on the Start Menu, I receive an error that the installation has not
    completed.  Restart to complete the installation.  If I restart the computer, I am back to the first error.
    Any idea how to resolve this situation?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    I am having the exact same problem. It's driving me nuts. I also downloaded and attempted to reinstall the factory software from Lenovo's site. It installs but will not launch, giving me the following error message: "This software is for intallation on a Lenovo computer." Or words to that effect.
    Hopefully someone knows the answer. Tried tech support twice. Ugh... Thanks in advance.

    I just downloaded the new software and driver for the deskjet3915.  Everything appeared to run normally.  I cannot access device services.  I get an error "The application could not be started.  Try reinstalling this printer driver.  I redownloaded the driver and reran it.  Still get the same error.  I am running Windows XP with all microsoft updates.  Does anyone have a possible fix?

    the Curve does not allow you to access to the Device Memory using Windows Explorer and "USB Mass Storage" Mode. You can only access the memory card (aka Media Memory).
    to access the Device Memory, you have to use the Media Manager. You need to download the "Desktop Manager + Media Manager" for that.

  • After installing WLS, oracle cannot access directory

    We have installed WLS many times on RHEL 5.6 and cannot determine why, but on occasionthe oracle user loses the ability to access /opt directory. The directory structure is listed as only question marks.

    Once this occurs, the oracle user cannot access this directory or its subdirectories. If I login as root, everything is fine.
    We have not found anything online regarding this or anything useful...
    Ideas?

    Form the "id" output showing "context=user_u:system_r:unconfined_t:SystemHigh" I can see you have SELinux enabled.
    Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with SELinux. The Oracle recommendation is usually to have it disabled, not supported, at least prior to 11gR2. You may have to modify the security context of the /opt directory using the chcon command to allow access (http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/SELinux). Firewall and SELinux are enabled by default and more changes are most likely required for Weblogic to work.
    What happens if you disable SELinux or set it to permissive and try again? You can disable SELinux by editing /etc/selinux/config and change the SELINUX line to SELINUX=disabled. Then reboot the system and try again. Alternatively you can also use the kernel "enforcing=0" parameter or use "echo 0 >/selinux/enforce" to temporarily disable enforcement, but I guess disabling it in /etc/selinux/config is easier.

  • Cannot access Portal Service from Web dynpro DC

    Hi all,
    I cannot access the portal service from my web dynpro dc.
    1. I created a Portal Service (say xxxservice) in a DC (say the DC name is testservice and the vendor is xx.com)
    2. Created a public part under the testservice DC and added my classes to it.
    3. Built and deployed the testservice DC.
    Now,
    4. I created a web dynpro DC.
    5. In the used DC section added the public part of the testservice DC and also the epbc.prtapi._api.jar for build time and runtime with strong qualifier.
    6. In the web dynpro "Sharing Reference", I added PORTAL:xx.com/testservice
    7. In the component controller, I am calling a method from the Portal Service.
    8. Built the web dynpro DC and deployed it.
    9. But at the run time it gives, NoClassDefFoundError on the xxxservice.
    I looked at many forum threads and tried everything. For eg: changed the Sharing Reference to PORTAL:sap.com/testservice but nothing works.
    Please do suggest me if I am missing something
    Thanks

    Hi Laxmi,
    I am sure something wrong at Portal Service DC creation. On webdynpro part you done fine .. by putting PORTAL:sap.com/testservice
    Check the below steps:
    1. Create DC Portal Applicaiton Stand alone (SDA)
    2. Add portal Service for the newly created portal service dc
    3. build and activate
    4. by default you should be get public part by name API which is compilation dependency
    5. here you dont need to do anything else
    6. on webdynpro just add the used dc to this API public part of portal service dc
    7. add PORTAL:sap.com/testservice  sharing reference
    If u go by this you shouldnt get any error..
    Now, u are saying something like ur own classes .. i think u are trying to put u r own classes to service.. but remeber portal service is to have only IYourService class and YourService class.. other classes should be made to be jar.. and add that jar to External library DC and create PPs compile & Assemble and add that DC to current service dc.
    Hope it is clear.. if not pls let me know..
    Thanks,
    Raags

  • I cannot access my service provider's portal

    Hello, People.
    I am new in the community and this is my first question posted. Please help me.
    I am a first time user of the iPhone and have been using it for less than a month and have been facing immense issues most of which I have been able to solve.
    The remaining problem is accessing my service provider's portal. By portal I mean checking my balance, credit recharge, bundle and other service subscriptions. Accessing all this needs the use of *XXX# (*102#, *104*XXX...#, *149*99#, etc). Whenever I make such dials, instead of taking me to their respective service portal, the phone calls straight that renders the number non-exitent. It is as if i am making a straight call while trying to access the portal. But the *#06# portal dial works that shows the IMEI.
    I took it to the shop where I bought the product and they told me that it is an apple update (i have the latest iOS 7.1) that caused this. But I personally have not heard of such an issue even from my friends who use the same product. My telecom service providers are claiming it is a problem on Apple's side. Everyside is pushing the ball to each other and the only place that I am left with is to ask my fellow users if you can help me with this.
    I hope to get to the bottom of this.
    Thanks and regards,
    Peter.

    Call Tmobile and make sure they have your new PIN and IMEI of the new device in their system and provision your account correctly with the BIS data plan for this new device.

    }Here, I was using the test web service located in www.webservicex.net/WeatherForecast.asmx
    I've created stubs using Eclipse (package net.webservicex.www) in another project, compiled into a jar, and imported into the test project.
    The test is working beautifully from my home. It's failing in the office with the error:
    AxisFault
    faultCode: {http://xml.apache.org/axis/}HTTP
    faultSubcode:
    faultString: (407)Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied. )
    faultActor:
    faultNode:
    faultDetail:
    {}:return code: 407
    It's failing when it's trying to execute
    WeatherForecasts forecasts = wfs.GetWeatherByZipCode("90210");
    The "initialiseConfiguration" function is doing its job OK - it's actually helping me to go through the proxy - if I'm doing simple stuff like accessing internet sites. I've tested it - I can get to any external site and read from it. The moment I disable "initialiseConfiguration", I can't get through the proxy.
    So, probably, the problem lies in the web services client classes generated by Eclipse and based on axis. Maybe, the code gets through the proxy, but then starts to do something without authentication??? (I'm not sure if it's possible at all, but who knows...)
    I've read a lot of postings on this subject and couldn't find a solution that would work for me. I'm very surprised, because my situation is very common - there are more and more public web services, and most organisations have firewalls. Obviously, I'm making some very elementary mistake.
    Please help

    We have the same problem, not with SOAP but with XML-RPC (err 407). We're still stumped, and i agree that the problem should be common, but i don't see the mistake, so it's not that obvious.
    Hypothesis: the proxy is spying on the requests content , and filtering out xml. Can you check that ?

  • Cannot access Web Services in BO Enterprise XI R2 SP3

    Hi,
    Just installed QaaWS and when I tried to test the Web Services URL i found nothing:
    http://server:8080/dswsbobje/services/session
    The same happens with Live Office.
    We work with .NET (IIS)
    Thank you in advance.

    http://server:8080/dswsbobje/services/session
    In the above url you need to replace 'server' by the name of your web server. If you are using default Tomcat installed with BOE, it should be the name of your machine.

  • Accessing WS Service through proxy server

    Working with WLS 8.1.4 i cannot access remote service through proxy server.
    I have setted up everithing needed and more:
    http.proxyHost=HOST
    http.proxyPort=8080
    http.proxyUser=WIN_DOMAIN\USERNAME
    http.proxyPassword=PASSWORD
    http.agent="Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0" weblogic.net.proxyAuthenticatorClassName=MyProxyAuthenticator
    weblogic.webservice.transport.http.proxy.host=HOST
    weblogic.webservice.transport.http.proxy.port=8080
    weblogic.webservice.client.proxyusername=WIN_DOMAIN\USERNAME
    weblogic.webservice.client.proxypassword=PASSWORD
    weblogic.webservice.verbose=true
    weblogic.webservice.binding.verbose=true
    weblogic.webservice.transport.http.full-url=true
    The strangest thing is that apparently no MyProxyAuthenticator is instantiated for I cannot see a System.out.print(message) I wrote its init() method.
    Please help ... thanks in advance.

    I am having the same problem. My client has the exact same properties as the previous poster:
    // Standard JDK Properties
    System.setProperty("http.proxyHost", "proxy-cache.xxxxx.xxx");
    System.setProperty("http.proxyPort", "9119");
    System.setProperty("http.proxyUser", "username");
    System.setProperty("http.proxyPassword", "password");
    System.setProperty("http.agent", "Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0");
    // Specific Weblogic properties
    System.setProperty("weblogic.net.proxyAuthenticatorClassName", "com.bcbsmn.webservices.authentication.ProxyAuthenticatorImpl");
    System.setProperty("weblogic.webservice.transport.http.proxy.host", "proxy-cache.xxxxx.xxx);
    System.setProperty("weblogic.webservice.transport.http.proxy.port", "9119");
    And here is part the response I get from the proxy server:
    [java] <BODY>
    [java] <H1>ERROR</H1>
    [java] <H2>Cache Access Denied</H2>
    [java] <HR noshade size="1px">
    [java] <P>
    [java] While trying to retrieve the URL:
    [java] <A HREF="......">http://................
    ITestPricer</A>
    [java] <P>
    [java] The following error was encountered:
    [java] <UL>

    [java] <STRONG>

    [java] </STRONG>
    [java] </UL>
    [java] </P>

    [java] <PRE> http://...............</PRE>
    [java] from this cache until you have authenticated yourself.
    [java] </P>
    ...and my authentication impl is never called according to my println's. I tried adding the proxyAuthenticatorClassName property to the command line as a JVM arg with no luck. Please help if you can, thanks.
