Cannot compile any JSPs TODAY!!!!

I could compile all my JSPs yesterday, but when I came to work, many failed. I can compile a few JSPs that are not so robust.
I get:

Hi,
I think I have the same problem. This is the error that I get:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/servlet/jsp/JspContext
But, I didn't realize what is going on. I'm just trying to write to the page, like this:
this.pageContext.getOut().write("test");
And I just simply can't do it, because when I call the method getOut(), I go to the error said above.
This application was working on the websphere 4, but I can`t deploy it on the Jboss 3.2.3, neither Tomcat 4.1.29, because of this error.
Can you help me ?
Thanks in advance

  • Can't compile any JSP : method handlePageException(...) not found

    Hello,
    I installed JDev 9.0.3 yesterday, it did compile my JSP pages, but today it won't, even after reinstalling it.
    I get the following error messages for every page :
    Error: method handlePageException(java.lang.Throwable) not found in class javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext
    Error(16,45): method doAfterBody not found in class org.apache.struts.taglib.template.InsertTag
    Error(16,93): variable EVAL_BODY_AGAIN not found in interface javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.BodyTag
    Does anyone know what this could mean ? I have added all libraries in the project's "library" tag, to no avail.
    Thanks.
    P.

    Lynn -
    I tried making a new page with JDev's wizard : File -> New -> Web Tier -> JSP -> JSP Page. This minimal page contains only a "hello world" message, and has got no taglib. I still get :
    Error: method handlePageException(java.lang.Throwable) not found in class javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext
    when I compile it.
    j2ee.jar is in Path and libraries ; my libraries are "JDev Runtime, JSP Runtime, Oracle XML Parser v2" and a bunch of our libraries.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks.

  • I cannot compile anything

    I have a problem with my setup. My labview project has been running perfectly till today, when I cannot compile any project. My project works perfectly in another computer. Same with "simpler" projects that I have. I cannot compile. I have tried to compile an empty vi, but the problem is the same.
    I decided to remove all labview components from my host computer. I removed everything from the host (NI-MAX/my-computer/sofware, all programs selected) and reinstalled Labview 2013. After doing that, the problem still happens. Attached you have a picture where you can check which error appears. It even happens with empty fpga VI.
    I am running Labview 2013 in an Windows 7 64bit. Xilinx 14.4 13.0.0
    My software package worked perfectly till today. Maybe something got corrupted...
    Any suggestion? Thanks in advance
    Pablo

    You've re-installed NI things.  Butm did you try re-installing the compiler as that sounds like the source of your problems?
    For future reference, you should bring up FPGA in the subject, in the first sentence, or pretty much anywhere other than the end of your post.  It helps others understand your issue to know what we are looking at from the start.

    I followed the FAQ troubleshooting and that didn't help

    Wow, Karan Taneja, you've just embarrassed yourself on a worldwide support forum.  Not only is your post ridiculous and completely inappropriate for a technical support forum, but it also shows your ignorance as to whom you think the audience is.  Apple is not here.  It's users, like you.
    If you would have spent half the time actually reading the Terms of Use of this forum that YOU agreed to by signing up to post, as you did composing that usesless, inappropriate post, you (and the rest of us on this forum) would have been much better off.

    Where did you put your class taxrate.TaxRate ?
    In which folder? is it in \WEB-INF\classes ?
    so that you have \WEB-INF\classes\taxrate\TaxRate.class

    Ok, I 've changed the name of useBean id to 'matcher' and replace every 'obj' with 'matcher'
    But I still got the error.
    And so when I tried to do what you said. I got this error.

    And actually, my exact_match is not just like that. But I thought that the problem is not concerned with my problem and it's just concerned with jsp, so i skipped it. Here's the actual progam., i mean exact_match() and I skipped other parts coz it said that my post exceeds maximum allowed words.

    to wainstead ( I saw your post at the JTL forum, who knows when the authors will be around)
    I tried using the <taglib-uri> and it works for me(I am using Tomcat 4.0).
    In fact I can use just http://www.man as long as it matchs what I put in the uri attribute of the taglib directive of my JSP.
    But the situation is confusing because according to the Servlet2.3 specification
    "taglib-uri element describes a URI relative to the location of the web.xml document,
    identifing a Tag Library used in the Web Application." Perhaps someone with more experience
    can explain.

  • Cannot access precompiled JSP

    My application contains several JSP working correctly, but after I choose to precompile my JSP files (putting the compiled classes in classpath). The server return a 404 indicating cannot find the JSP pages.
    It seems like the
    RequestDispatcher dispatcher=request.getRequestDispatcher("xxx.jsp");
    can no longer find the JSP page anymore. What should I put there instead? Moreover, I will still use JSP for faster development and debugging purposes, can I write it so that the same code runs for both raw JSP pages and precompiled JSP?
    Any suggestion will be appreciated!

    Thanks for your info on the creation of web.xml fragment, it really helps. I am using Ant to precompile the JSP to deploy on Jetty.
    But, the webxml and webinc attribute just does not output any file as specified. However, when I tried it with the task like this:
    <java classname="org.apache.jasper.JspC" fork="true" failonerror="true">
    <arg line="-l -d ${web}/WEB-INF/work -webinc ${web}/jspc.xml -webapp ${web}"/>
    it seems to create the webinc, however, the JSPC just doesn't work as it says
    org.xml.sax.SAXException: Internal Error: File /javax/servlet/resources/web-app_2_3.dtd not found
    Now both ways seems unworkable, do you or anyone have any idea?

  • My firefox version is 3.6.12, however I cannot download any add-ons cause it says I am still using version 2, and it is the same for website such as youtube where it is always saying I am using a outdated browser. How do I solve this?

    I keep updating my firefox whenever it prompts me to, and now I am using version 3.6.12, but I still cannot download any add-ons or have problem using youtube cause they still says I am using a older version of the browser.
    But when I go Help > About Mozilla Firefox, I am sure I have the latest version and no more updates can be found.

    You have or had an extension installed (MegaUpload toolbar) that has changed the user agent from Firefox/3.6.12 to Firefox/2.0.0.13
    You can check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page:
    * general.useragent.extra.firefox Firefox/2.0.0.13 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0
    You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website.<br />
    Filter: general.useragent<br />
    If general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then you can right-click that pref and choose Reset.
    See [[Web sites or add-ons incorrectly report incompatible browser]] and [[Finding your Firefox version]]<br />
    See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_your_useragent_string_to_its_compiled-in_default
    Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.<br />
    You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Java#Multiple_Java_Console_extensions
    See also http://www.java.com/en/download/help/quickstarter.xml - What is Java Quick Starter (JQS)? What is the benefit of running JQS? - 6.0
    Disable the Java Quick Starter extension: Tools -> Addons -> Extensions
    Control Panel -> Java -> Advanced tab -> Miscellaneous -> Java Quick Starter (disable)
    You should update the [[Java]] plugin (Java Plug-in 1.6.0_12) to the latest version (6 U22).

    Use a lower case initial on a bean property name.
    Instead of:
    <jsp:getProperty name="courseBean" property="Name" />try:
    <jsp:getProperty name="courseBean" property="name" />The same will apply to other properties. Also, make sure you use the lower case initial on form field names. e.g. <input type="text" name ="name"> for use in <jsp:setProperty name="courseBean" property="*" />

  • Cannot print PDF's today.

    As of today, for no apparent reason, I cannot print any pdf files. All printed fine yesterday and before that. My sister said that she had the same problem today at work. We do not share any hardware or software. How can this be?

    Oh, forgot to mention...if I leave the PDF file in the print Q it will print when I restart my computer, but that's the only way it will print. It's not my printers. I've tried both printers. I'm able to print every other type of file...just not Acrobat PDFs. Strange! Help!
