Cannot compile project after change to "any cpu" randomly

Hi,
in my VS 2013 i had changed the solution from x86 to "any cpu" in the debug-settings, the build-settings etc.
Now sometimes i try to build it it gives the error "Generate ressource cannot be executed because
it cannot connect to "CLR2" and Architecture "x86" - please make sure(1) runtime and architecture is avilable  and(2) the file
 "C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\12.0\bin\MSBuildTaskHost.exe" exists
I do not know why that is, it should compile in x64 since my os is 64 bit. The workaround is to delete the exe in my  debug-folder and then let the vs build it again.
Sometimes it can work for days after that workaround to build newer versions, then magically it breaks again.
Looking at the .vbproj-file from another project that was "any cpu" from the start i learned that some  x86-stuff is still in my config of the project that has the issue.
My question is now if you recommend to "just change it" or if just editing the file to look like that other project will not do it all.
My vbproj-file from my project looks like this

Hi mrsnipes,
According to your description, I suggest you could try to close the VS and then re-open the VS2013, then clean build solution-> re-build your solution and then check if the project/solution can be built successfully.
When I tried to change the solution platform to Any CPU, I found that it work fine. So to check if the issue occurs the specified project/solution or VS IDE, please try to create a simple new VB project in VS 2013 Express for Windows Desktop and
then right-click your solution->Properties->Configuration properties->Configuration Manager->Change the Active solution platform to the Any CPU check this issue again.
(1) If you still get same error, maybe you will need to repair or re-install the VS 2013 Express for Windows Desktop check this issue again.
(2) If you did not get same error in a new project, I doubt that this issue maybe more related to your specified project, so please try to create a blank solution and then add the project into the blank solution.
As you said the error message, I suggest you also refer the following article check if it can help you solve this issue.

  • Freezes after changing an i5 cpu for i7

    Hello,
I've changed my Intel Core i5 680 cpu @ 3,60 GHz which worked pretty well by an Intel Core i7 880 @ 3,06 GHz expecting more performance.
Since I've changed the cpu I'm experiencing some applications freezes for some seconds until they respond again, but I have no error in the terminal output. This affects to other applications too. For example if I'm watching a video while I'm surfing the internet with firefox 27 and it freezes, the video stop playing, and I can't launch any other application, applications menu does not drop... almost all applications freezes for some seconds until it all respond again. When these freezes happens I see the cpu monitor raises up to 50% more or less as a plateau during the freeze.
I've already reinstalled the kernel with 'pacman -S linux' but haven't solved the problem.
The last time I've had to reboot pushing the power button manually because I began to get "bus error" in every application I tried to start from terminal.
I want to know if it is a cpu malfunction because I've just purchased it used.
Is it a cpu malfunction or is it that I have to reinstall Archlinux?

I've come back to the i7 again. I've experienced the same random frozens but now I've been able to do a dmesg after the first one. This is the last part of the dmesg output:

  • 7.0 - Cannot save journal after changing content

    Hi all,
When I have copied journals to another category or time, and want to change some of its content, I cannot save the journal, as the button 'Save' is not activated. When I post the journal, it does change back to the original entries.
    We currently use release 7.0.119.
Thank you for any information or suggestions.
    Melanie

    Hi Roberto,
do you mean by launching a package copy, if I have tried to copy the data with the data manager package on journal level?
No, I have just copied some journals from one month to the other, say, ACTUAL 2011.NOV to ACTUAL 2011.DEC, and then wanted to change some numbers, and save the journal again. But the icon for saving was not activated.
For now the issue is "solved", as at some stage I have logged off BPC and started it again. But it has happened before, and it is a strange behaviour.
Perhaps it is a service pack issue?
    Best regards,
    Melanie

  • 4.0.8.2.4  Cannot start listener after changing user/group to nobody/nobody

Installed OAS 4.0.8.2.4 and configured it. Everything is working fine with listener, plsql cartridge, Java cartridge and OSSWA. But if change listener's user/group from Oracle/Dba to nobody/nobody. Listener will not start. It hangs in as follows:
    ========================================================================
Information: Listening on NORM port 80 address 0.0.0.0
Information: wriorProcessInit: RMProxy IOR Bootstrap Service initialized
    Information: Adapter services initialized successfully
    Information: The server started successfully
Server now running as process 15654
OWS-08850: Oracle Web Listener 'www' started.
Oracle Web Listener 4.0.8.2.4 Enterprise Edition - Release (Domestic)
Copyright (c) Oracle Corporation 2000. All rights reserved.
Information: Listening on NORM port 5502 address 0.0.0.0
Information: wriorProcessInit: RMProxy IOR Bootstrap Service initialized
    ===========================================================================
from the message above, we can see if it failed to start the "Adapter services"
If we change the user/group back to Oracle/Dba, it starts fine.
And also, we have under $ORACLE_BASE/admin, the listener ( name devl ) permission has been changed accordingly to the user/group change. We follow the instruction from OAS configuration to change user/group.
( Read access to the configuration file
Read access to all files that provide content for servicing requests
Read access to all imagemap files
Execute access to all Oracle Application Server binaries and program files that the Web Listener must execute
Write access to the log and error files
Read access to user directories )
    Thanks.

Thanks. After a few more days testing. We finally figure out where it went wrong. We changed user/group from node manager. ( from Oracle/dba, installer, to nobody/nobody). After that, we only changed $ORACLE_BASE/admin/ows/SITE_name/httpd-host_name/listener_name to be read and write accessed by nobody. We forgot to change owl.cfg to be read access to nobody/nobody. After we changed that. It starts fine.
    Thanks again.

  • Cannot compile JNILib after upgrading to Mavericks

    Hello there,
I just upgraded to Mavericks to find out that now I'm not able to compile the JNILib for my program.
    This is the output:
    In file included from ExampleJNILib.c:1:
./ExampleJNILib.h:2:10: fatal error: 'jni.h' file not found
    #include <jni.h>
             ^
    1 error generated.
Why is this?  Why does a software update have to screw around and disable me from compiling my program?  Just because Apple and Java broke up a few years back doesn't mean I should throw my Mac out the window and get a Windows PC just to compile a JNILib!  How do I fix this?

I don't think that will be necessary.  Forum moderators have deleted half of my posts I made in the past, and nobody even bothered helping me solve this problem.  Clearly I'm not wanted here.  I'll stick to other websites, like StackOverflow for example.  At least people are friendly there.
It really ****** me off that an Apple community forum does this to someone who owned several Mac computers, several iPhones, several iPads and several iPods.  Yes, I owned a lot of Apple products, and here Apple treats me like crap.  Is that a way to treat a loyal customer?

  • Cannot open projects after updating to 10.0.1

it asks me to update my projects. i press ok. projects are all displayed in the project pane. but when i try to open a project (or sometimes even when I select a particular project), i get the spinning rainbow wheel. i've already tried trashing ~/Library/Preferences/*FinalCut*

Use Digital Rebellion's "Preference Manager" to trash prefs, faster, safer, and there's more than one pref file.
I'd actaully go into the Projects and Events folders manually and trash all the Render files.

  • Cannot get emails after changing to pop account

Telstra, my internet provider, required me to change my email settings to a pop account. I had no choice in this matter.
I am told that this will gradually happen to all users over the next 12 months....!
BUT..... now  my ipad will not receive or send emails!
I copied over new settings from laptop to ipad as advised.  This did not work.
I then re--synced ipad to laptop....this did not work. I have since found 'online' that there is a problem with ipads
    and 'pop' accounts
Further contact with Telstra informed me that  they are not responsible for other devices and
I will have to pay to get this problem  fixed.  This is a $99 set rate!
Can anyone help me to reconfigure my ipad to receive and send emails?

Did you already try the Mail assistant for iPad?
On thing to keep in mind:
iOS: 'Mailbox Locked', account is in use on another device, or prompt to re-enter POP3 password
What to ask if you're having issues sending, receiving, or configuring Mail
iOS: Unable to send or receive Mail
I have no problems using my POP Mail account on my iPad.
If you have copied the settings from your computer, make sure that all passwords have been added again by you, they might have been removed for security reasons during copy process.
I started from the scratch by adding a new account, to be sure all settings were correct.
Some accounts don't work using SSL, in that case set it up without using SSL

  • Cannot Setup email after changing BBID

    Hi All,
As earlier said, BB Id answer and hint answer too forgotten. And later, New BB Id was created its and successfully allowing me to app world etc.
Now problem is EMAIL Setup not allowing me to log in to set up email account. Please help.
Subject Title edited to reflect new topic.

    Earlier said?
Please answer this:  On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?
    Then for your email setup:
Please try this FIRST, using your BlackBerry browser...
    1)
    • Go to mobile.blackberry.com OR to www.blackberry.com/integrate
    • Scroll down to Communication and then to Email.
    • Choose the appropriate email set up options.
If that works and completes your email setup/editing, good.
If not, follow these additional instructions:
    2) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.
    3) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
    4) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    5) Now, return to the 1) mobile.blackberry.com email setup as mentioned above and follow that.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

  • Cannot start weblogic after changing control flag

I read the article at http://edocs.weblogicfans.net/wls/docs81/secmanage/providers.html#1187595
I create 2 SQLAuthenticators, MySQLAuthenticator and testSQLAuthenticator (Someone told me that it is not necessary to do that. But I just do a test). In my weblogic 10.3.5, it has 2 default authenticators, DefaultAuthenticator and DefaultIdentityAsserter.
1, MySQLAuthenticator=testSQLAuthenticator=DefaultAuthenticator=OPTIONAL, weblogic can be startup
    2, MySQLAuthenticator=REQUISITE, testSQLAuthenticator=DefaultAuthenticator=OPTIONAL, weblogic cannot be startup
    3, MySQLAuthenticator=SUFFICIENT, testSQLAuthenticator=DefaultAuthenticator=OPTIONAL, weblogic can be startup
    4, MySQLAuthenticator=testSQLAuthenticator=SUFFICIENT, DefaultAuthenticator=OPTIONAL, weblogic can be startup
5, MySQLAuthenticator=testSQLAuthenticator=DefaultAuthenticator=SUFFICIENT, weblogic can be startup
    6, MySQLAuthenticator=REQUIRED, testSQLAuthenticator=DefaultAuthenticator=SUFFICIENT, weblogic cannot be startup
    7, MySQLAuthenticator=REQUIRED, testSQLAuthenticator=DefaultAuthenticator=OPTIONAL, weblogic cannot be startup
In the article: REQUISITE—If the user passes the authentication test of this Authentication provider, other providers are executed but can fail (except for Authentication providers with the JAAS Control Flag set to REQUIRED)
Why I cannot set REQUIRED and REQUISITE to authenticators. Where is wrong?

The control flags you are using mean the following:
    - REQUIRED – the LoginModule is required to succeed.
If it succeeds or fails, authentication still continues to proceed down the LoginModule list.
    - REQUISITE – the LoginModule is required to succeed.
If it succeeds, authentication continues down the LoginModule list.
If it fails, control immediately returns to the application (authentication does not proceed down the LoginModule list).
    - SUFFICIENT – the LoginModule is not required to succeed.
If it does succeed, control immediately returns to the application (authentication does not proceed down the LoginModule list).
If it fails, authentication continues down the LoginModule list.
    - OPTIONAL – the LoginModule is not required to succeed.
If it succeeds or fails, authentication still continues to proceed down the LoginModule list.
Note that the MySQLAuthenticator and the DefaultAuthenticator are LoginModule in JAAS terms.
When you take the second option from your post - MySQLAuthenticator=REQUISITE and DefaultAuthenticator=OPTIONAL.
In this case when you login into WebLogic by using the admin password, the login procedure goes through the MySQLAuthenticator
and checks if the admin username and password are present if not as is noted above the whole login fails as the loginmodule
is flagged as REQUISITE and you cannnot login.
The same applies when you set a control flag to REQUIRED it has to succeed otherwise the whole logiin does not succeed

  • Cannot compile java file after ..

    i installed java sdk 1.4
    uninstalled java 1.2 & java 1.3.1
--after that i was not able to compile or run java file
    reinstalled java 1.3.1 and 1.2

--cannot compile a new java file
    any help

It would be helpful if you would exactly tell us what error message you get instead of just saying "I can't compile or run anything anymore".
Things to think of: Did you add the bin directory of the JDK to your path? Is the classpath set correctly?

aperture 3.2.4, macbookpro lion: image disappears after loading from any project; repairing everything on starting app doesn't fix it. Only restarting the computer works. Any help, please? ... in non-technical language please. Thanks

“Hi Kirby, thanks a lot for your answer.
I got one answer, from DMoore, saying:
“Try Safe boot and then restart with only Aperture open.  Still doent work write back with more details like Ram, HD capacity/free space.  Are these thumbnails or Previews? Have you turned off building previews in AP preferances?
    Safe boot   http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564
Starting up into Safe Mode does several things:
1  It forces a directory check of the startup volume.
2  It loads only required kernel extensions (some of the items in /System/Library/Extensions).
3  In Mac OS X v10.3.9 or earlier, Safe Mode runs only Apple-installed startup items (such items may be installed either in /Library/StartupItems or in /System/Library/StartupItems; these are different than user-selected account login items).
4  It disables all fonts other than those in /System/Library/Fonts (Mac OS X v10.4 or later).
5  It moves to the Trash all font caches normally stored in /Library/Caches/com.apple.ATS/(uid)/ , where (uid) is a user ID number such as 501 (Mac OS X v10.4 or later).
6  It disables all startup items and login items (Mac OS X v10.4 or later).
7  Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later: A Safe Boot deletes the dynamic loader shared cache at (/var/db/dyld/). A cache with issues may cause a blue screen on startup, particularly after a Software Update. Restarting normally recreates this cache.”
As I don’t know much about the technical aspects of computers, I don’t really understand the first answer, and it sounds like following it might produce unwanted changes.
    But I understand your questions, so I’ll try to answer them;
"loading from any Project" means that I encounter the problem when I’m using a project, possibly after/because I’ve left the Mac on overnight, and/or  I’ve made a lot of adjustments, and, once the problem is there, it happens in any other project which I open – the images load then disappear.
I can see images in the Browser, so it only happens in the Viewer(s).
I’m afraid I don’t understand what you mean by: “If you select "Photos" from near the top of the Library tab of the Inspector, does it show you all of your Images?”. I am a newcomer to Aperture, so I don’t know what some of the buttons are for yet, but when I want to look at and adjust my pictures, I import them, as referenced images, then Aperture creates a folder/project in the Library. When I click on that Project (when it’s working properly), all the images appear in the Browser or the Viewers  – without me needing to “select Photos from near the top of the Library tab of the Inspector”. I selected it and looked at all the items in the dropdown menu, but none of them seems to offer the option to ‘show all the images’. So I’m not sure how to answer your question except to say that – yes, I can see all the pictures in the Browser or the Viewers (when it’s working properly), but I don’t seem to need to use the Photos button to achieve this.
    Did Aperture work before?
Yes it worked ok for a while, but I only purchased it on 24th May.
If I understand correctly, the difference between thumbnail and preview is that the thumbnail is what I see when the “Loading” wheel is turning, and the disappearance of this wheel after a few seconds means that I am now looking at the preview (also, the thumbnail cannot be adjusted).
So I think the problem occurs when the thumbnail has finished loading; the viewer going blank/grey might mean that it is not showing the preview.
But I have not changed the default Preview settings in Aperture Preferences.
    My macbookpro details:
    2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7
    Memory: 8 Gb 1333 MHz DDR3
    Hard Drive capacity 499.25 GB
    Available 387.36 GB
I have noticed another problem: I cannot apply the same rating to multiple images: following the instructions, I select a group of contiguous (or non- contiguous) images, choose a selection eg “5stars” using the keyboard, but the stars only appear in the last selected image – even though all the images are still showing as selected.”
I hope this helps you to understand more.
Thank you for trying to help me.

    Thanks.

CU means cumulative updates, which are intermediate bug fix packages between SP. The latest CU for Project 2013 was release on September 12th. See reference

Can you try to reproduce the bug with
    IE in compatibility mode?
    Hope this helps,

    Hi,
( I search for iChat questions when I have finished in the iChat Forum)
So the menu bar reads iChat, File,  Edit,  View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or  Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ?  (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list  (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option  (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
    Type in:-
    ~/Library/Preferences
    Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.
