Cannot create a server using the selected type

Hi,
I'm trying to integrate tomcat 6.0 with Eclipse. But when I try to add Tomcatv6.0 Server,
it is sowing an error message " Cannot create a server using the selected type ".
Can anyone tell me why?
Thanks in advance

In order to solve the problem you need to
* close eclipse
* go to ~/workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings
* remove the files org.eclipse.wst.server.core.prefs and org.eclipse.jst.server.tomcat.core.prefs
* solve the problem with the permissions of the policy files or the personal instance of tomcat6
* start eclipse
In order to be able to use the tomcat6 server the proper solution is to have a personal instance of the tomcat6 server as described in the section "Advanced Configuration - Multiple Tomcat Instances" of the file RUNNING.txt (and the problems that have been reported about this ;-) )
My configuration: Debian/Sid, Eclipse 3.4.1. Ganymede

    Bluetooth clearly works. Nokia PC Suite can't use it.

    Help, please.

    Hi,
    I think that PC Suite is not support your Bluetooth driver. Here you can find what drivers are supported:
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=connectivity&message.id=114
    Anyway, if Microsoft's BT driver support your BT HW, you can try to that stack also...
    So, if you want to try to use MS BT driver:
    1. Go to Control Panel, System, Hardware and Device Manager.
    2. Open Bluetooth Devices, select that device, click Action, Uninstall and OK.
    3. Click Action and Scan for hardware changes.
    (windows should automatic install MS BT driver)

  • "Xcode cannot run using the selected device" for no apparent reason.

    EDIT: It was just because I hadn't told Xcode to use my iPhone for development... I thought I had already done that. I also had to wait a few minutes after enabling it for development for it to actually work.
    I'm using Xcode 5 and an iPhone 5 for development. I made an app ID with the ID "com.myname.agreementfinder". Then I made a development provisioning profile linked to that app ID. In my developer provisioning profile dashboard, it clearly says that the app ID is "com.myname.agreementfinder". I downloaded the provisioning profile and put it on my iPhone using the Xcode organizer, no problems. So now I have a profile in my organizer that has the app identifier "U2M9******.com.myname.agreementfinder" (part of it censored). Not sure what that weird number at the beginning is, but my other profiles have one too.
    I have a project with the bundle identifier "com.myname.agreementfinder" and deployment target iOS 7.0 on iPhone, so it should work with that, right? Actually, the project was renamed from "FBFun". Well Xcode keeps saying that it can't run it on there because "No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version." I wish it would say which, invalid version or no provisioning profile
    How should I fix this? It seems like everything is already fine, yet it won't work. Could it be that renaming the project caused problems?

    I did. I did "Product -> Clean", it replied : "Clean vog_x20_new: Succeeded" and then I did "Product -> Build", and it replied "Build vog_x20_new: Succeeded".
    Ok, so I may have misunderstood my own problem. It's not a compilation problem. But, I still have the same message when I try to run the program (i.e. "Xcode cannot run using the selected destination").
    So it seems that I can build the project but I cannot run it.
    Here is a screenshot of the error windows
    So what should I do next ?
    Thanks for you attention and help.

  • Create table dinamically using java sql types?

    Hi! I've an application that reads an XML file. This file contains de definitions of some tables, using java sql types. For example:
    <dbtable>
      <dbtablename>Name of table</dbtablename>
      <dbtablefield>
        <name>Name of table field</name>
        <type>java.sql.Types.VARCHAR</type>
        <length>10</lenght>
        <canNull>0</canNull>
        <isPK>1</isPK>
      </dbtablefield>
    </dbtable>That's a little example of one table, with one field. Is a java.sql.Types.VARCHAR (or is equivalent in int), which has a size of 10, it cannot be null and is a primary key for the table.
    Now, the lenght, null, and primary keys are not problem at all. What I want to know, is how do I create de table using the java.sql.Types. I mean, I don't want to hard code:
    String s = "CREATE TABLE name (COLUMN VARCHAR(10)...";Instead, I want to use some "wild cards", as are used in PreparedStatement. The idea of this is that no matter what DB I'm using, I must always be capable of creating the tables not worrying for the DB. I mean, I must be able to create the table in Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc., using the same XML and the same java class.
    Something like:
    String s = "CREATE TABLE name (COLUMN ? (10)...";
    someobject.setObject(1,java.sql.Types.VARCHAR);
    someobject.execute(); //create tableIs this possible? Or do I have to make a map for each DB?
    Thanks a lot for your help! Dukes available!

    you can provide some fields at runtime..
    for example
    "CREATE TABLE name (COLUMN" + arg[1] +"(10)..."
    here arg is the string array passed into the main.

  • Creating multiple profiles, using unified profile types, to store multiple values for same properties

    Hi All:
    I am trying to create multiple profiles, using unified profile types, to
    store multiple values for same properties. Here my intention of using
    'unified profile types' is to create multiple profiles (to store multiple
    values for a property). All the properties are stored in the same database
    maintained by Personalization server. Also, I am trying to use the same
    'USER' ejb as profile class/home/pk/jndi.
    The scenerio is,
    define unified profile types (Business, Vacation) using Personalization
    admin tools, using com.beasys.commerce.axiom.contact.User,
    com.beasys.commerce.axiom.contact.UserHome,
    com.beasys.commerce.axiom.contact.UserPk,
    com.beasys.commerce.axiom.contact.User for Profile Class, Home, Pk class,
    JNDI name respectively.
    Define Property set 'HotelCommerce' with property
    HotelProp as single, restricted, text (valid values Single, Double)
    Now you can use the attached jsp files to login as a user and try to set the
    property value for HotelProp for each profile. As per my understanding, I
    was expecting that I can set different values for the property 'HotelProp'
    for each profiles. But unexpectedly, all the profiles get the same value.
    Question. is it the correct behavior? if yes, how can I achieve this
    functionality?
    if not, do you see any problem in my scripts?
    your answer asap is appreciated. we need to make decision on using
    Personalization server v/s developing our own Personalization server!!!:)
    thanks,

    This is not the purpose of the UUP. The UUP is used to allow existing
    database schemas to be aggregated with the existing Weblogic Personalization
    Server database schema to provide a single, customized user profile with which
    to maintain the user properties (
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wlcs/p13n/users.htm#1068901 )
    If you want to have properties that change value based on some "profile" or
    classification of a user, then you should use classifier rules to change the
    user from "OnVacation" to "AtWork" or "AtHome". You can use these classifier
    rules to select content for the user or conditionally execute logic (

  • How to use the selection profile and status profile for production order?

    Hi expert,
       I want to know how to use the selection profile and status profile for production order. what's the usage for these two selection profile and status profile ?
      Please help me.
      thanks in advance.
      george.shi

    Hi George,
    There are are two types of statuses.One is system status and second one is user status.These statuses will tell us current situation of an order.
    We can't change system statuses.But we can create our own statuses through status profile.With this profile we can control user statuses.
    In this status profile,
    1.We define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated,
    2.We define initial statuses
    3. Allow or prohibit certain business transactions.
    Selection profiles are used to select the objects (say production orders) with different status combinations.We assign status profiles to selection profiles in BS42 T-Code.

    Since i have updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 i cannot attach multiple photos using the ' Message ' option in the  ' Photos ' app.
    i browse my photos and then select ' Message ' on a photo. i am then able to attach the first image to the message.
    When i then select the Camera icon on the created message to add another image ,  either  ' Choose existing ' or ' Take Photo or Video ' ,  it does nothing and takes you back to your existing message.
    I am able to attach multiple images when accessing the iMessage app  it is just from the Photos app it is occuring

  • Using the URL type field in a Dictionary

    Using the URL type field in a Dictionary
    How and when would I use the URL Field in a Dictionary?  What is the advantage of using this field?
    For example, you may have tasks within a service delivery in which performers must access a spreadsheet and enter their estimated efforts and costs in that spreadsheet. You might use this URL type field to direct the task performers to the site where the spreadsheet is residing.
    To set up the URL field:
    In the Dictionary, for the desired Field, select the "URL" type.
    When the service performer enters information into the field (during the Service Dellivery moment), it will beautomatically concatenated with the RequestCenter system URL, and presented as a hyperlink immediately below the entry field in the service form.
    The performer is directed to the URL, i.e.:
    /RequestCenter/servicemanager/MemorySize
    Advantages to this design approach:
    1.      Allows users who do not have access to RequestCenter to view the estimated efforts and costs.
    2.      Compensates for the fact that the service form itself cannot display the fields in a table format.

    Hey,
    As per my understanding, you want to display link with text instead of whole url string. For that you can provide link text as a description in URL type field so the same will be displayed as a link title in list view while rendering.
    Thanks.

  • To use the selection screen entry in another program

    dear all,
    i have a requirement that i want to use the selection screen entry of my zmodule pool to the selection screen of a zreport and want to use its output in my module pool.
    how could i do this in my module pool programing??
    i hope u get my question, i want to use the output of my zreport in my module pool with the same selection screen as given in module pool.,directly in my module pool output without opening my zreport seperately for this same selection screen data

    Hi,
      You can use SUBMIT statement in your module program to call the zreport program in background.
    Press F1 on Submit statement and you will find required detials of this statement. For using submit statement
    you have to create an internal table of type RSPARAMS and pass it in the submit statement.
    eg.
    DATA :
    *  table to be passed to background report 'ZREPORT1'
        int_rspar TYPE TABLE OF rsparams,
        ws_rspar TYPE rsparams.
    CONSTANTS: c_include     TYPE rsparams-sign               VALUE 'I',
               c_kind        TYPE rsparams-kind               VALUE 'S',
               c_between     TYPE rsparams-option             VALUE 'BT'.
    *Preparing the table to be passed to the background report.
    *populating SELECT-OPTION for knb1-kunnr (Customer Number)
    CLEAR : ws_rspar.
    ws_rspar-selname = 'S_KUNNR'. "Should be the name of select option as in                               the called report
    ws_rspar-kind = c_kind.
    ws_rspar-sign = c_include.
    ws_rspar-option = c_between.
    ws_rspar-low = '1'.
    ws_rspar-high = '100'.
    APPEND ws_rspar TO int_rspar.
    *populating SELECT-OPTION for knb1-bukrs (Company code)
    CLEAR : ws_rspar.
    ws_rspar-selname = 'S_BUKRS'.
    ws_rspar-kind = c_kind.
    ws_rspar-sign = c_include.
    ws_rspar-option = c_between.
    ws_rspar-low = 'a'.
    ws_rspar-high = 'z'.
    APPEND ws_rspar TO int_rspar.
    submit zreport
      with selection-table int_rspar
          EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
              and return.
    The above code will execute the zreport in backgournd.
    Now to get the output of the zreport :-
    *This internal table stores the value
    *Of output listed to memory
    DATA BEGIN OF itab_list OCCURS 0.
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE abaplist.
    DATA END OF itab_list
    * To read from the memory. The output of the program that is executed in background is then populated in the itab_list table.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
    TABLES
    listobject = itab_list
    EXCEPTIONS
    not_found = 4
    OTHERS = 8.
    * To write it onto the output
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_LIST'
    EXPORTING
    WRITE_ONLY = 'X'
    TABLES
    listobject = itab_list
    EXCEPTIONS
    EMPTY_LIST = 1
    OTHERS = 2
    IF sy-subrc 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.

  • Sorting a vector using the selection sort method

    I have to write a program that sorts a Vector using the selection sort algorithm. Unfortunately the textbook only has about 2 pages on vectors so needless to say I'm pretty clueless on how to manipulate vectors. However I think I'm on the right path, however I'm stuck on one part as shown in the code below.
    private static void  selectionSort(Vector parts)
          int index;
            int smallestIndex;
            int minIndex;
            int temp = 0;
            for (index = 0; index < parts.size() - 1; index++)
              smallestIndex = index;
              for (minIndex = index + 1; minIndex < parts.size(); minIndex++)
               if (parts.elementAt(minIndex) < parts.elementAt(smallestIndex))  // this is where I'm having trouble
                  smallestIndex = minIndex;
                parts.setElementAt(temp, smallestIndex);
                parts.setElementAt(smallestIndex, index);
                parts.setElementAt(index, temp); if (parts.elementAt(minIndex) < parts.elementAt(smallestIndex))
    is returning "ProcessParts3.java:51: operator < cannot be applied to java.lang.Object,java.lang.Object"
    Here is the full program:
    import java.util.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class ProcessParts3
         static Vector parts;
         public static void main(String[] args)
              loadVector();

              while (fileIn.hasNext())
                   partIn = fileIn.nextLine();
                        parts.addElement(partIn.trim());
              selectionSort(parts);
                   for (int i = 0; i < parts.size(); i ++)
                   System.out.println(parts.elementAt(i));
         catch(Exception e)
              e.printStackTrace();
         private static void  selectionSort(Vector parts) //from this part down I'm responsible for the coding, everything
                                                               // everything above this was written by the teacher
                 int index;
            int smallestIndex;

    I have to write a program that sorts a Vector using the selection sort algorithm...Hmmm.... Your teacher is, in my humble opinion, a bit of a tard.
    1. Vector is basically deprecated in favor of newer implementations of the List interface which where introduced in [the collections framework|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/collections/index.html] with Java 1.5 (which became generally available back in May 2004, and went end-of-support Oct 2009). ArrayList is very nearly a "drop in" replacement for Vector, and it is much better designed, and is marginally more efficient, mainly because it is not syncronised, which imposes a small but fundamentally pointless overhead when the collection is not being accessed across multiple threads (as is the case in your program).
    2. Use generics. That "raw" Vector (a list of Objects) should be a genericised List<String> (a list of Strings)... because it's compile-time-type-safe... mind you that definately complicates the definition of your static sort method, but there's an example in the link... Tip: temp should be of type T (not int).
    Note that String implements [Comparable<String>|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/lang/Comparable.html], so two String's can safely be compared using the compareTo method... In Java the mathematical operators (<, >, &#43;, -, /, &#42;, etc) are only applicable to the primitive types (byte char, int, float, etc)... The Java Gods just chose to muddy the waters (especially for noobs) by "overloading" the &#43; operator for String (and String only) to enable succinct, convenient string-concatenation... which I personally now see as "a little bit of a mistake" on there part.
         private static void  selectionSort(Vector parts)  {
    int index, smallestIndex, minIndex, temp = 0;
    for (index = 0; index < parts.size() - 1; index++) {
    smallestIndex = index;
    for (minIndex = index + 1; minIndex < parts.size(); minIndex++) {
    if (parts.elementAt(minIndex) < parts.elementAt(smallestIndex)) {
    smallestIndex = minIndex;
    parts.setElementAt(temp, smallestIndex);
    parts.setElementAt(smallestIndex, index);
    parts.setElementAt(index, temp);
    }3. ALLWAYS use {curly braces}, even when not strictly necessary for correctness, because (a) they help make your code more readable to humans, and also (b) if you leave them out, you will eventually stuff it up when you insert a line in the expectation that it will be part of the if statement (for example) but you forgot to also add the now mandatory curly-braces... This is far-too-common source of bugs in noob-code. Almost all professionals, nearly allways allways use curly braces, most of the time ;-)
    4. Variable names should be meaningful, except (IMHO) for loop counters... Ergo: I'd rename index plain old i, and minIndex to plain old j
        for ( int i=0; i<list.size()-1; ++i) {
          int wee = i; // wee is the index of the smallest-known-item in list.
          for ( int j=i+1; j<list.size(); ++j ) {Cheers. Keith.

  • Help/Example needed for creating JMSQueues/JMSTopics using the MBean API

    I am trying to create JMSQueues programmatically using the MBean API. When
    I use MBeanHome.createAdminMBean(), a queue appears in the root of the
    config file. This is progress, but the queue is in the wrong place! I need
    the queues to be part of my JMS server's "destinations" as seen on the
    console.
    So now I am trying to use createConfigurationMBean() instead, but I can't
    figure out what the "parent" parameter should be- no documentation! My
    first guess was that the parent might be the JMSServer, but that doesn't
    work.
    Anyone have example code to insert JMSQueues and JMSTopics into a specific
    JMS server's destinations?
    Here is the code I tried... All goes well until the final
    createConfigurationMBean call, where it throws a MBeanCreationException:
    // Get the MBeanHome bean
    Object obj = jndiContext.lookup("weblogic.management.adminhome");
    MBeanHome mbeanhome = (MBeanHome) javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow
    (obj, MBeanHome.class);
    // Get the server MBean
    JMSServerMBean jmsServerMB =
    (JMSServerMBean)mbeanhome.getMBean("examplesJMSServer",
    JMSServerMBean.class);
    // Create the new Queue
    JMSQueueMBean jmsQMB = (JMSQueueMBean)mbeanhome.createConfigurationMBean
    ("weblogic.examples.jms.fooQueue", "JMSQueue", jmsServerMB);

    Ok, I still don't see how I can do it differently with the admin tool. If

    I create this, I create the JMSServer MBean, then do and INVOKE (insteadof

    location/targets that you set in admin Mbeans.
    Queue's are the same, just replace the word
    Topic with Queue and it should work. It should show up in the console
    app.
    MBeanHome home = (MBeanHome)ctx.lookup(MBeanHome.JNDI_NAME+".myserver");
    ServerMBean myserver =(ServerMBean)home.getMBean("myserver",ServerMBean.class);
    String topicName = "MyNewTopic";
    JMSServerMBean jmsServerMB =(JMSServerMBean)home.getMBean("JMSServer","JMSServer","mydomain");
    JMSTopicMBean jmsTopicMB =(JMSTopicMBean)home.createAdminMBean(topicName,"JMSTopic","mydomain");
    jmsTopicMB.setJNDIName(topicName);
    jmsServerMB.addDestination(jmsTopicMB);

    Try JMSQueueConfig instead of JMSQueue.

    I am trying to create JMSQueues programmatically using the MBean
    API.
    When
    I use MBeanHome.createAdminMBean(), a queue appears in the root
    of
    the
    config file. This is progress, but the queue is in the wrong
    place!
    I
    need
    the queues to be part of my JMS server's "destinations" as seen
    on
    the
    console.
    So now I am trying to use createConfigurationMBean() instead,
    but
    I
    can't
    figure out what the "parent" parameter should be- no
    documentation!
    My
    first guess was that the parent might be the JMSServer, but that
    doesn't
    work.
    Anyone have example code to insert JMSQueues and JMSTopics intoa
    specific
    JMS server's destinations?
    Here is the code I tried... All goes well until the final
    createConfigurationMBean call, where it throws aMBeanCreationException:
    // Get the MBeanHome bean
    Object obj =
    jndiContext.lookup("weblogic.management.adminhome");
    MBeanHome mbeanhome = (MBeanHome)javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow
    (obj, MBeanHome.class);
    // Get the server MBean
    JMSServerMBean jmsServerMB =
    (JMSServerMBean)mbeanhome.getMBean("examplesJMSServer",
    JMSServerMBean.class);
    // Create the new Queue
    JMSQueueMBean jmsQMB =(JMSQueueMBean)mbeanhome.createConfigurationMBean
    ("weblogic.examples.jms.fooQueue", "JMSQueue", jmsServerMB);

    Hello Guys,
    we make the Application Management for a Customer PI System.
    Scenario:
    - the SAP Gui Connection to the ABAP Stack is routed via SAPRouter and Works fine.
      SAP Gui -> our SAP Router -> VPN Box from Customer -> Firewall Customer -> ABAP Stack PI System
    - WebAccess its working fine, the Customer use Webdispatcher on every PI Server...
      Browser -> VPN Box from Customer -> Firewall Customer -> Java Stack (Port: 5xx00 btw. 81xx (Webdispatcher))
    Problem:
    Our Problem ist, we can not proceed the Integration Builder or the ESB, the Java Web Start works fine and open the Logon Screen Correctly -> but i fill the Logon Screen with my User name and Password and press Logon come the follwing Error:
    "Cannot connect to server using message server: ms://<hostname>.<domain>:8134/P4"
    In the Details from the Error Message:
    "<hostname>.<domain>:53404 Reason: com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException:

    The Customer says, the Firewall is open with the IP Adresses and P4 Port but i dont think so...
    Can everybody help me, or have tips for me! I have checked a lot of OSS Messages (PI High Availabilty etc... its all correct on the System)
    Sorry for my bad English
    Best Regards,

    Hi Markus,
    did you check if the browser is using a proxy? (In this case your scenario unfortunately won't work).
    P4-port should generally be routed via a proxy (described in the help.sap.com), but within the PI-Tools(JNLP) the proxy-usage is not implemented.  There is even a SAP-note that describes how to check the JavaWebStart-Proxyconfiguration, but this won't help either.
    If there is a proxy defined in the browser everything is working fine till you pass the logon-screen but even with the correct "javaws"-settings you won't be able to go on.
    (This problem is pretty bad if you do have developers and the SAP-servers seperated because of security issues. I'm hoping that this malfunction will be solved with upcoming patches.)
    Solution: Establish a connection without any proxy in between.
      E.g.: a terminal server in the same network
    It would be helpful to find more people with the same problem to force a fix from SAP for that.
    If anyone else is having problems with this, please add a comment to this thread.
    Best regards
    Christian

  • Currently, I cannot copy and paste using the icons in the toolbar. How do I enable this?

    I am trying to make edits to a website for our company. Currently, I cannot copy and paste using the icons in the toolbar. Instead, I have to use control+c and control+v which doesn't always work. How do I enable the feature to be able to use the icons?

    Are those toolbar buttons grayed?
    Do the entries in the Edit menu look enabled if there is text selected or text on the clipboard?
