  • Contact your help desk with this information: cannot create connection file "CitrixID"

    Has anyone overcome an issue with logging in to a Citrix server and getting the following message: Contact your help desk with this information: cannot create connection file “CitrixID”? I can log on, but once logged in, the apps available to me will not launch.  All worked fine before I upgraded to OS X Mavericks. I do a lot of foreign travel and Citrix kept me connected to the office. Unfortunately, our IT team aren't really "Mac Guys" so they are just as perplexed as I am. I have deleted and deleted Citrix Receiver several times as posts on other sites recommended, but to no avail.

  • Cannot create connection pool with weblogic jDriver XA for oracle

    Hi everybody,
    we have serious problems configuring the weblogic jDriver for Oracle with support
    for distributed transactions.
    Everything works fine with the non-XA driver.
    We tried the suggestions given here before like setting the environment variable
    ORACLE_SID. However, this does not change the errors we get. We use Weblgic Server
    6.1 SP2 with oracle 8.1.7 (client and server) under Windows NT.
    When attempting to create the connection pool, we get the following exception:
    Starting Loading jDriver/Oracle .....

    We suspect that we do not set the properties of the connection pool correctly. The
    declaration of the pool in config.xml looks something like the following:

    InitialCapacity="10" MaxCapacity="15" Name="DiplPool"
    Properties="user=scott;password=tiger;url=jdbc:weblogic:oracle:srlaptop_aidenbach.muc.sdm-research.de;dataSourceName=DiplPool"
    Targets="Marvin" TestTableName="privcust" URL="jdbc:weblogic:oracle:srlaptop_aidenbach.muc.sdm-research.de"/>
    Are there any known issues with the XA driver and the versions of oracle and Weblogic
    we use? Can someone tell us how exactly we have to define the connection pool or
    provide an example?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael
    Here is an example connection pool tag,
    <JDBCConnectionPool
    Name="oraXAPool"
    Targets="myserver"
    DriverName="weblogic.jdbc.oci.xa.XADataSource"
    InitialCapacity="1"
    MaxCapacity="10"
    CapacityIncrement="2"
    Properties="user=scott;password=tiger;server=ORCL"
    />
    Ensure that the server=ORCL is replaced by server=<what ever the Alias is
    defined in TNSNAMES.ORA file>
    You dont have to specify the URL for this.

  • V11.1.2.1: Cannot create new application - Cannot create connection to db

    Hi,
    I have installed Hyperion Planning + essbase + FDM v11.1.2.1 in a distributed environment on Windows 2008 R2 64-bit servers.
    All configurations is set up with no problems, have created users, planning apps etc etc. Only thing missing is creating the FDM apps however this fails!
    The folders are created on the FDM app server but it cannot connect to the oracle db it says. No error number is given.
    I have no problems accessing the oracle db via sqlplus with the same user/password info.
    And I cant find any log file that contains any errors so I am at a loss as to what can be the problem!?

  • Cannot create new Service Application in Manage Service Applications in Central Administration

    Hi!
    I'm having problems with a new SharePoint 2013 Enterpise installation. The issue I'm having is is that if I navigate to Manage Service Applications and click on New I get nothing in the dropdown. If I use the wizard I can create new Service applications but
    not through the Manage Service Applications page. Anyone know why? The button is not greyed out and I can click it but it doesn't show any service application at all (see picture).

    Hi,
    Based on your description, there is no service applications in the new dropdown list in SharePoint 2013.
    Check things below:
    Run the SharePoint products Configuration Wizard and      then check if the same situation will occur.
    Run Central Administration as administrator and then      check the results.
    According to your last post, it seems that there is something wrong about certificate.
    How do you connect server through remote access? And check if it is the same situation when you create service application in SharePoint
    server.

  • Cannot create connection to Oracle database

    Hello all,
    I would like to create a winform that connects to an Oracle 10g database. I followed the below steps:
    1- Create a Winform project
    2- Go to Server Explorer>Data Connection to add a new connection
    3-In the "Add Connection" window, change the data source to "Oracle database"
    4- Type in the required information (server name, user, password)
    5- when testing the connection, i get an error message telling:
    ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified
    Please to note that I have:
           - 64bit OS, Visual Studio 2012
           - Visual Studio 2012 Version 11.0.61030.00 Update 4
           - Oracle client 10.2.0.4 for MS Windows 64bit
           - ODAC10.2
    Any idea about the issue ?
    Best regards,
    Nassim

    Hello,
    No solution provided, instead resources. I believe the issue is in the connection string no matter which way you connnect.
    As you can see on
    this page for creating strong typed datasets there is not much to it and would recommend the following stated below.
    The first thing to do is located the error (it is on this page) on
    the following page, go through the checklist and see if anything there can help.
    Lastly,
    Oracle data provider will be removed in a future version of Visual Studio.
    Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help, this will help others who are looking for solutions to the same or similar problem.

  • Solution Manager EWA - cannot create session in satellite system

    "Hi,
    I want to configure EWA self service using Solman 4.0. I succesfully did the following :
    a. Maintained SMSY and create the required trusted RFC connections from SM to satellite system. All connection and authorization passed in SM59. I used SAP_ALL/SDCCN_ALL role and assigned objects S_RFC*.
    b. Assigned the system to a logical system.
    c. Created the a new solution and activate "Solutions Monitoring > Earlywatch Alert"
    d. Activated and maintained required RFC in SDCCN in satallite system.
    My problem is that the create EWA alert request (Red Flag with a specific session number ) coulnd be pass to the satelitte system even though all the trusted RFC and authorization is set. When i execute the SESSION_REFRESH in the satellite system, the session is not created.
    Did I miss out any steps. Can any one share any help ?
    FYI, there is no connection to SAPOSS yet, so i did not manage to run RTCCTOOL completed, but i doubt this is required for EWA self service."
    I  have the same problem as Solution Manager EWA - cannot create session in satellite system
    tried all of solutions,  but it does not help... Created the CM (high) for SAP, but get 1 response for 1 week from them:(

    Dear Sapbcer,
    Have you tried the following option :
    Execute SMSY and from the Server entry Execute the "Read System Data Remote" option in change mode.
    Save the data captured and then try using Refresh Session Task from SDCCN of the satellite system. Do select the RFC for Solution Manager while performing this task.
    Hope this helps.

  • "Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility."  Trying to format my iomega external HD for use with Mac

    Hi. Trying to connect iomega ext. HD. i have to reformat for Mac. When i plug in & go to Disk Utility,the external shows up and i'm supposed to click "partition". When i do, a box comes up saying ""Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility." I quit and relaunched, same results. After googling my question, i came up with this:
    "Disk Utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility."
    (Quitting and reopening Disk Utility does not help.)
    The following also appears in Console log:
    *** malloc[419]: Deallocation of a pointer not malloced: 0x290a410; This could be a double free(), or free() called with the middle of an allocated block; Try setting environment variable MallocHelp to see tools to help debug : for architecture i386 object: ./Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/MacOS/iTunes malformed object (unknown flavor for flavor number 0 in LC_UNIXTHREAD command 27 can't byte swap it)
    Workaround
    Quit Disk Utility.
    From the Finder's Go menu, choose Go to Folder....
    Type the following, then click OK: /Library/Receipts
    Temporarily remove these iTunes receipts from /Library/Receipts (sort the folder alphabetically as a list):
    iTunes.pkg
    iTunes4.pkg
    You can put them on the desktop, for example. Do not remove iTunesX.pkg or iTunes Phone Driver.pkg.
    Open Disk Utility and repair disk permissions again.
    Quit Disk Utility.
    Put the removed iTunes receipts back in /Library/Receipts.
    Note: This issue does not affect Disk Utility's verify or repair disk features.
    All seemed good, for a moment, until, upon going back to Disk Utility after removing itunes4.pkg and putting on desktop (i did not have itunes.pkg to remove) the same thing was happening. When i highlite my iomega ext. on left of page, disk perrmissions is grayed and does not allow me to click on it. Same problem from the start. Can somebody please help me out here? That would soooo awesome. Thanx!

    i'm just scared i will do something wrong on my own and lose my data.
    You shouldn't be scared of that, because you should already have backups. If you don't have backups, then backing up is the first priority.
    Insert the Snow Leopard DVD and restart. When you hear the chime, hold down the C key and keep holding it until the Apple logo appears on the display. You should now see the language selection screen. Select your language, then choose Utilities > Disk Utility from the menu bar. In the Disk Utility window, select the external drive (not the internal). The drive may already have a data partition, in which case there will be another icon below the drive icon. Choose the drive icon, then select the Partition tab. Create a single partition with the default options (GUID partition table, Mac OS X Extended Journaled).
    When the partitioning is done, select the startup volume on your internal drive in the DU window. Select the Restore tab. Drag the icon of the startup volume to the "Source" field. Then drag the icon of the newly-created volume on the external drive to the "Destination" field. Make sure you have this right. Then click the Restore button, and the data on your startup volume will be copied to the external drive.

  • Cannot create a database connection

    Hi,
    I am installing WebCenter Suite 11g. In the first time I install oracle 11g in a VM since the oracle 10.2.0.2 is running in my machine and it cannot be stopped.
    The VM is in my machine.
    In the DB of VM, I create a user named user2 for testing and connect it via SQL developer.
    username: test2
    password: test2
    Host name: 192.168.222.222
    Port: 1521
    SID: orcl
    It works.
    Then, I install the RCU in my machine (not in VM). The rcu need me to key in the DB information.
    Host name: 192.168.222.222
    Prot: 1521
    Service name: orcl
    username: sys
    passord:********
    Role: SYSDBA
    However, it shows error messages:
    Unable to connect to the database useing the provided details.
    Please enter a valid hostname and port or check if the listener is up and running
    I also try to create a connection in oracle (10.2.0.2) Net manager (my machine, not the VM) and key the above information. However, it is failed.

    I check the IP address of VM and find the correct IP address is 192.168.1.30
    I also key in this address in to network connection of the VM. Then, I close the firewall.
    Then, in my machine, I can ping this addresss.
    In the VM, I can create database connection using 192.168.222.222 as host name. If I use 192.168.1.30 as hostname, the connection cannot be connected.
    But when I install the RCU, and key in the following information, it still shows error:
    Unable to connect to the database using the provided details.
    Please enter a valid hostname and port or check if the listener is up and running. But the oracle in VM is running.
    Host name: 192.168.1.30
    Port: 1521
    Service name: orcl
    username: sys

    As I understnd all the ODBC connections are working fine. It would be great if get here some suggestion to do some extra check if required.
    In my system DSN in ODBC I could see number of DSN have been present, one for local DBF, one for sample, one for server which I belive I created during the DBserver configuration as external. and could fine one more DSN not sure what for it is.
    If the ODBC would not have been configured properly then I belive I should not be get connected to application through thin and thick client.
    Any suggestion on this would be helpful
    Thanks

    HI Deepak,
    I have seen a similar problem back here there are two locations in your tools.cfrg where you may will need to make changes.
    1.
    [InfraObjMgr]
    RequestServerName =
    2.
    [Local]
    DockConnString =
    In both the cases you need to mention the Application server name .
    Kindly let me know if this actully solves your issue.
    Thanks

    I have searched through the web, none of the solution works for me. Hope I could get some suggestion from you.
    I am running tomcat 6.0.18 + eclipse 3.4.1 + jre 1.6 + jsp + jsf + mysql 5.0 on Ubuntu 8.10.

  • Database Connection Error Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory

    Hello everyone,
    Background:
    I have a newly installed and configured Ubuntu server running Tomcat5.5 and Mysql 5.0. This server was created in an attempt to migrate from a Red Hat server in a similar configuration, running the exact same webapp. Most of the configuration/classpath differences between the two platforms have been ironed out.
    The Problem:
    When our webapp trys to connect to the database on localhost, an exception 'java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission localhost resolve)' is generated.
    The server.xml configuration is below:
    <Resource name="jdbc/EconDollarsDB"
    auth="Container"
    type="javax.sql.DataSource"
    username="user"
    password="pass"
    driverClassName="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
    url="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/DBName?autoReconnect=true"
    maxActive="20" maxIdle="5"
    />I can connect to the database just fine using the command line client and the same username/password combo. This configuration has been working fine for at least a year on the older server. The only similar problems I have found on the net (meaning the same exception is generated) involve applets and attempts to connect to different hosts. This case involves a webapp, connecting to localhost, using a configuration that is known to work! I am simply baffled.
    The following stacktrace is generated:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Database Connection Error
    Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Server connection failure during transaction. Due to underlying exception: 'java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission localhost resolve)'.

    Its clearly saying the connect permission is missing with the current available policy.
    you add the following permisson entry to the <installed JRE>\lib\security\java.policy file.
    (e.g) C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_08\lib\security\java.policy
    permission java.security.AllPermission;
    grant{
    permission java.security.AllPermission;
    If the application is running standalone then the code is allowed uncontrolled access but for webapplicatons running through browser, the security check is performed for the configured JRE.
