Cannot display updated data in view

I am connect to Oracle 10gR2 using SQL Developer 1.2.1 Build Main-32.13
I have a table Table_A and a sample view View_A which is "select * from table_A".
Firstly, I open the Table_A and View_A in two tab.
After I update the record in Table_A using Data Tab (without clicking commit),
I cannot see the updated record in View_A (even I click the refresh in View_A Data tab).
Is is a bugs ? Because I think the two tab should share the same session.

This is the current behaviour; the tab collects all updates until commit.
I'd like to see the changes posted upon leaving each row too (like Toad does). The only way to be able to rollback changes is not using the Data tab, only the worksheet. And without posting(/committing), there's no way of knowing the outcome of triggers.
Not a bug, just a missing feature.
I see 2 possible solutions: an Autopost Changes preference in Database - ObjectViewer Parameters, and/or a Post button next to the Commit and Rollback buttons in the Data tab.

1. data to be accepted from user, values to be passed to the program in database according to the data accepted.
In Oracle Express:
2. values is accepted in database program as arguments. according to arguments the limits are applied and calculation is made for leaf level and then assigned to variable
3. rollup is called in database program.
In OEO:

Need to automatically display update date and user in update form field

Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help me with this... I am using dreamweaver cs4 and php/mysql. I have a database table that will be updated by 1-5 different people at random times. I have everything set up and working, as far as the update function, delete function, add new, etc. In my update form the last two fields are Last Updated and Last Updated By. There are fields in the table called 'last_updated' (formatted in PHPmyadmin as timestamp) and 'last_updated_by'. But how do I get them to update on their own? Right now it is showing the first entry into the field which I did in the PHPmyadmin table, but it is not updating automatically. It would be a nice field to have so that we know who has worked on the table and when it was last updated, without the user manually typing that in, which I am sure they would forget to do. By the way, users will login to this with a username and password before editing the records.
This is the code for the last row in the update form with those two fields. It is pulling the fields from the database table, but they do not update automatically...

ECT List View Web Part displaying incorrect data when View Item

I have a External Content Type which pulls data from a stored procedure. The stored procedure has 1 parameter - the users logon id. The data retrieved is a list of meetings with start date time, end date time, location, subject, etc. From this ECT there
is an External List which displays all data correctly.
There is 2 pages within the site and its subsites that have list view web parts which display a subset of the info from the external list. When the user clicks a specific meeting to display the complete info on the meeting, the wrong information is displayed,
it always displays the info for the 1st meeting in the list. So, I displayed the BDC Identity field on the list and this field is identical for all the rows since the key for the ECT is the username and hence not unique.
I've spent all day trying to finding a way to resolve this and have come up empty. I've tried to find a way to make the BDC Identity field to be unique, using Business Data View web part, Data View web part, and nothing.
The user needs to be able to click the My Meetings url header on the above pages to see a full list of their meetings so I need the external list. Any ideas how to make the BDC Identity field unique or how to get the View Item on the List View web part to
work correctly?

I resolved the non unique BDC Identity problem by simply adding the row # to the Username in the stored procedure so the BDC Identity fields on the list records are now unique (although they're really long ie. __bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056003300,
__bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056004300 etc). Not sure how it generates the BDC Identity?
I still see the same behaviour when you select a meeting to display the details. It always displays the 1st record in the list.
I added code to the DispForm to display the ID when the page loads and the BDC Identity from the record and verfied that they do match.
I can add another parameter to the stored procedure and just return the row # in that field. What do you mean by make the identifire as Identity in operations?

Time Stamp Error: Cannot display system date and time. My VI display "YYYY-MM-DD" instead of "2014-08-02".

I am using Labview8.5 and Windows XP OS.
My Problem is my Labview TimeStamp cannot display current system date and time.
Please see my attachment for the screentshot.
The TimeStamp or ever Format Date/Time String display "YYYY-MM-DD" instead of "2014-08-02".
I tried other computer machine and it works. There are some computer machine has this problem.
How can I resolve this issue? Please advice. Thanks.

reviewing the thread Dennis linked (thanks for that) reveals that it is the same account which opened this thread here three month later.
What bothers me is the fact, that the past thread is marked "solved" even though it obviously isn't. Or the OP is trolling us.....
Nevertheless, it seems like systematic error. Connected to specific machines.
What makes the machines where the time stamp issue occurs "unique"? If there are several, is that source really "unique"?
Most obvious reasons would be:
- Language settings (possibly the infamous "dot-comma-issue")
- Time zone settings (e.g. what happens if you switch Ulaanbaatar to Perth or maybe even some US time zone?)
- Missing hotfixes for Win and LV
- Is the system running as virtual machine vs. "native"?
Not so obvious differences:
- Specific CPU type
- Motherboard/BIOS
- LV ini settings
There are tons of other possible reasons (e.g. corrupt LV installation), but these are the ones i came up with within a couple of minutes....

Fails to update data during view object test

Hi, I'm using:
Postgresql w/JDBC drivers
Jdeveloper 10g
I created entities and associations for my tables, and now I created a view object, assigned it to application module and run it.
It shows the data properly, but when I try to commit a change, it gives me:
Business Component Browser - oracle.jbo.DMLException
(oracle.jbo.DMLException) JBO-26041: Failed to post data to database during "Update": SQL Statement "UPDATE PUBLIC.SIGNON Signon SET username=? WHERE username=?".

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

You're hitting Bug# 3537056. Contact worldwide support and they have a one-off patch for this that they can supply for you. The issue is related to lack of support in your database for a table alias in the update statement.

Cannot display ods data in report

Hi All,
I have a report on multiprovider in which data from ODS cannot be displayed, in both multiprovider and report.
I also checked,some of the fields from ODS have check mark in identification(multiprovider).
can any give the inputs for further analysis.

Hi,
I guess you have not selected a key figure from the ODS.
Select Key figure(KF1) from ODS and from the Other Data Target(KF2)
Then create a calculated KF3 = KF1 + KF3 and hide the KF1 and KF2

I created a view in program unit (procedure).
when new form instance I call this
and created a block base with this view
it has detail block
I have one column chk varchar2(1)
it is a check box
I need when I check this box chk will be 'Y'
I mean update the view . if I check the box 4 records all the records chk must be 'Y' in view
I write a code on-update trigger;

Query not displaying updated data for planning

Hi Experts!
I've created a revaluation function in IP and tested it in the modeler, it's working fine. I have an issue when running the sequence in WAD, as it is not displaying the modified data. The message says that the records were modified, but those changes aren't being displayed in the query. The query being used isn't input ready, it just takes data from the cube and revaluates them.
I have already tried adding a refresh command in WAD, but I've found out it doesn't fit this purpose. Am I missing a configuration so it can read the delta buffer? or must I necessarily save the plan data for it to be displayed? Any ideas?

Hi,
you are on the save side if you use an input-ready query and a button representing the revaluation function in the Web Application Designer (WAD) . Of course the function has to change data via an aggregation level A on a real-time cube C that is also contained in the InfoProvider P used to create the input-ready query. In the most straightforward case A = P.
Input-ready queries always know about the most-recent data, i.e. data in all green + yellow requests and the data in the deltabuffers.
But even a 'reporting' query e.g. on a real-time InfoCube C and the revaluation planning function on an aggregation level A on C should know about the most-recent data as defined above.
You can check the 'Requeststatus' used in the 'reporting' query. It should be 'Real-time InfoCubes up to current version'. This setting can be found - depending on the release - in transaction RSRT or the Query Designer.
You should not forget to do some simple checks: Maybe the function has changed data that are not contained in the filter of the query.

Hi, I have got same problem as you. My application generates a DBF file from a resultset. In MS Excel it looks pretty good - all data, but when I try to open same DBF file with Fox or MS Access, I always see ONLY header(column names), but NO data! I don't know why?! The application generates this file using JDBF classes (version 1.0). I guess, maybe it is caused by the size of this file. The DBF file had 18 columns and over 32000 rows.
Did you find the cause? I'll be grateful for help.

Display Updated values in table from server (iphone)

I am having problem while displaying updated data in a table. I m getting data from a server and then trying to displaying it in a table view. but data in table only update after scroll.
I also tried to call the method [myTableView reloadData] inside main thread. but that doesnt solve to problem too. and my GUI doesnt work when I does that.

I needed to display the amounts as separate columns pertaining to different elements or rather different sub classification of the elements
This is the final expected result for the report:

Here Personal Deductions, Other, Car Loan etc. are grouping of elements (sub classifications)
I have used MAX function to display the results as separate columns like this:

However, the fact is that my each element_type_id has each run_result_id, which means 1 element has 1 run result id. Thus, I cannot display the data in a single row.
Can someone guide me on this? How can I display the data for an employee as a single row?

i need to download transaction type and text from V_T856 , but the data is not selected from V_T856 view.
how to select data from a view, is there any special conditions.
i declared V_T856 in tables statement, even though select statement not exicuted.

using Select statement you cannot retrieve the data from view.
use the FM - VIEW_GET_DATA.
call function 'VIEW_GET_DATA'      " func. mod to get data from maintenance view.
    exporting
      view_name = view
    tables
      data      = gt_data.

Cannot Access External Data Error

Hello all,
Please suggest me on Cross domain policy error 2170. I followed the below steps:
Step 1: Copied cross domain file in Tomcat Root and then checked whether its working or not and it got worked in a browser.
Step 2: Restarted Tomcat Server
Step 3: Then opened Macromedia.com and clicked on Global Flash player settings and here i got stuck what are the URLS to be added.
Are the above steps are correct or not?

Reproducing the Issue:
Create a Dashboards based on Qaaws.
Publish it to InfoView or BI LaunchPad.
View the Dashboards through VPN .
Crossdomain policy error appears.
Cause:
DNS could not resolve the domain name.
Resolution:
Modify the host file entry
Go to:Start ->run-> %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Enter the <ip address><FQDN><server name>

VZ Navigator / Updating Data Files,

I have an LGenv2, running VZNavigator 4.5.1.    Have been using this phone and VZNavigator for over 2 years.
About 2 weeks ago, every time I start Navigator, it displays "Updating Data Files" which takes a few seconds to complete. Then when I go into something, IE: Weather, it then displays "Downloading Announcements", then displays "No new Announcements".
While Navigator works fine otherwise, the delay in doing the same useless tasks on startup just slows it down. After the 3 screens of notices, then it functions normally, until the next startup and it does it again.
Am I doing something wrong?   Is there a setting I missed?
I prefer not to update Navigator based on all the complaints, and have intentionally kept this older phone so I won't be forced into the latest version of Navigator.
Any thoughts?

I've had the same proble. I am asked to accept or decline their rules way too often and also asked to upgrade. The screen for upgrading does not load properly. Navigator is SLOW and has become a pain in the ***!
