Cannot execute action within region..

Question

Hi all,
I have a region called "placements.jspx" embedded inside a page called "index.jspx".
I have the following code inside the region:

                    <af:commandLink immediate="true" action="FullEmployer1Details">
                         <af:outputText value="#{placement.Companyname}" />
                    </af:commandLink>
            </afh:cellFormat>
            <!-- More columns................ -->
        </afh:rowLayout>
</af:iterator>That is embedded inside a TableLayout. I'm using ADF HTML table because I have to implement styles specific to a row of the table, where the ADF Core table is column-based..
The problem is that when I click on "Companyname" link, I get the following error:
javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: javax.faces.FacesException: javax.faces.FacesException: Can't set managed bean property: 'rangeBinding'.
which arises from a number of errors, the first of which is:
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
     at oracle.jheadstart.controller.jsf.bean.JhsCollectionModel.setRangeBinding(JhsCollectionModel.java:426)
     ... 65 more
So it's as though it can't make a reference to the CollectionModel (I'm assuming PlacementCollectionModel?), even though the table above populates with the information with no problems (the information coming from PlacementCollectionModel). "rangeBinding" is a managed-property of the managed bean "PlacementCollectionModel".
Any Ideas? I'm stumped :(

Also worth noting that the action "FullEmployer1Details" is simply a Navigation Rule to a page called "FullEmployer1Table.jspx".
The error does not occur on this page. It occurs before the transfer.
