Cannot manage exeption.

Hi ,
I have written a class which sends mail using javamail API. The mail is send often but it fails sometimes. Please can any one tell me --
When message send using Transport.send(messageObj) is unable to deliver the message due to any reason, can the condition be traced and saved? So that some action can be taken to deliver the failed message again.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanking You,
Sarita

  • Solved: I cannot manage (bring online, initialize, partition, format, or write to) a VHDX hard drive once it has "Enable Virtual Hard Disk Sharing" enabled.

    Hello,
    Issue:
On a Virtual Machine with a secondary VHDX attached, I cannot manage (bring online, initialize, partition, format, or write to) the VHDX hard drive once it has "Enable Virtual Hard Disk Sharing (VHD Sharing)" enabled.
    Questions:
Should I be able to manage (bring online, initialize, partition, format, and write to) a VHDX hard drive once it has VHD Sharing enabled? If I should be able to manage it, what am I missing?
    Topography:
One SuperMicro Cluster In a Box (CIB) with 2012 R2 Data Center on each node. Microsoft Failover Cluster installed and working on each node. The Failover Cluster Servers on each host passes all cluster validation tests. Two Hyper-V 2012 R2 Data Center Virtual
Machine (VM) servers, one on each node. 1 common Cluster Shared Volume (CSV) and 1 Generation 2 Scale-Out File Server (SOFS) shared volume both Resilient File System (REFS) formatted. One 5 Gigabit (Gb) Virtual Hard Drive Type X (VHDX) file on the CSV and/or
SOFS. Integrity bit and read only turned off on VHDX file.
Each of the two Hyper-V VMs have one 127Gb VHDX Generation 2 primary hard drive and 1 VHDX secondary hard drive attached, both on SCSI Controller #1.
    Background:
If I start VM1 without the VHD Sharing enabled on the secondary hard drive, I can bring the drive online, initialize, partition, format, and write to the drive.
If I enable VHD Sharing, I can no longer modify the drive in Disk Management in any way. With or without VM2 running.
Both VMs and the CSV and SOFS are on the same host cluster server, or not, no difference…
The VHDX is referenced either by the CSV name C:\ClusterStorage\Volume1\TEST1.VHDX
     or a Shared Folder name
    \\sharedfolder\folder\Test1.VHDX .
If I start VM1 with VHD Sharing disabled and I format the drive, then shut down and enable VHD Sharing, the drive is offline and requests initialization which fails with an "I/O device error", every other attempt to manage the drive fails with
the same "I/O device error", error.

    Hi All,
I had to buy a Willy Wonka bar and spend a golden ticket to get an answer to this one.
We found that the default LogicalSectorSizeBytes of a VHDX is 512b. It needs to be 4kb.
The Host drive doesn't seem to matter CSV or SOFS. Below is a way to create a VHDX with the correct LogicalSectorSizeBytes.
    In Power Shell, type --> New-VHD -Path C:\ClusterStorage\Volume4\Cluster2DataDisks\Cluster2Disk1.vhdx -SizeBytes 200Gb -PhysicalSectorSizeBytes 4kb -LogicalSectorSizeBytes 4kb
Attach the resulting file to your guest cluster servers and set the Enable Virtual Hard Disk Sharing option on both server. You should now be able to bring the drives on-line and initialize them. They will also add to the guest cluster pool.
Change the size, path and file name above to fit your Cluster Servers configuration.
    Thank You

    Hope this helps others.

Hello! I am trying to sync my iPhone 4 to my iTunes. My phone is connected to my computer, (was able to import pics) but I cannot manage my apps or music in iTunes. I ran diagnostics and it says 'no iPhone found'. It then takes me to Apple Support that says:
The device cannot be restored in iTunes.
An exclamation point, question mark, plug symbol, or "X" appears next to the device's entry in Device Manager.
During an update or restore, the device may no longer be recognized by iTunes
    HELP!

    Hello, Shandey.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
With the symptoms you described, try the step in the article below.  See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > If the device is not recognized while in Recovery Mode and If you see two "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" entries with exclamation marks on them.  Then select the appropriate operating system that you are using.

  • Outlook 2007 on Terminal Server cannot manage Public Folder Favorites after Migration to Exchange 2013

    Hi,
we are running a Server 2008 R2 as a Terminal Server with Outlook 2007 SP3 (incl Nov 2012 Update 12.0.6665.5000) which is known as fully supported with Exchange 2013.
With Exchange Server 2007 we did not have any issues. But after having successfully migrated to Exchange 2013 we cannot manage our public folders favorites from these clients anymore.
As we are running Outlook 2007 on a WTS we can not use Exchange Cache Mode and so we can also not download Public-Folders-Favorites as an option. Whenever we try to delete existing favorites or when we try to delete public folders with content or subfolders
there will be an error msg that says that it cannot be deleted and that there may be no sufficient permissions. But this IS NOT the issue NOR the solution as I have full admin rights and am owner of the public folders.
On single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled we can manage the favorites and the public folders without problem.
We need to be able to manage the favorites of all users (circa 50-60 users) from the WTS with Outlookm 2007. I have no more ideas right now. Does anyone know how to get this settled?
    Thanks, Paula

    Hi,
Based on the description, users could access public folders successfully, but when they tried to manage public folder favorites or wanted to remove specified folders, they got error message of no sufficient permissions.
     Is it right?
You mentioned on single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled, user can operate normally. Is this a WTS with Outlook 2007 installed?
If possible, please switch this Outlook client from cached mode to online mode to check result.

  • Messed up permissions, cannot manage GPO

I am working on deploying a piece of software via GPO and was creating a test GPO to deploy it to only a test box to ensure everything had been packaged right and that it would install the right way (this is my first time deploying software via GPO). In
doing so I boneheadedly changed the permissions on the GPO and removed every group except a user account for the test box. I also, for some reason I still cannot fathom as I know better, gave this account only Read, List, and Apply permissions for the GPO.
Needless to say i now cannot manage the GPO at all. The only way to see it is with the user account elevated to an admin account, and even then I cannot modify or delete the GPO as that account does not have those permissions.
I did a lot of research and tried everything I could think of, even worked with dsacls for over an hour with everything coming back as denied.
Is this a problem others have run into, and if so were you able to fix it and how? This really is not a huge problem at this point for me as we are going to replace our AD structure in about a month anyways with a new DC and all new accounts and GPOs, so
worst case there is this hidden GPO that no longer does anything that no one can see stuck on our DC for another month or so. Any help is much appreciated

In gpmc, go to delegation, advanced, again advanced, ownership, then
    take ownership...
If that does not work, then go to adsiedit - system - policies - {guid},
    take ownership there, and go to explorer - sysvol - policies - {guid}
    and take ownership.

  • Cannot manage device

After cannoct my device to Desktop Manager, I run the Manager, I can only see the application that I download and installed from App World.
I CANNOT manage other device application such as language.
The desktop manager user guide is totally useless.

    Hello,
You need to download and install to your PC the version of the device OS that you have on your BB. You can find the available packages via this portal:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Just download the package that matches what you have installed on your BB. Then tether your BB to your PC and launch the desktop software. You should then be also presented with the core apps.
    Good luck!

  • Cannot manage my website due to firefox update

cannot manage my website (dotster hosted) due to my updated version of firefox. dotster says firefox was asked to fix the problem but hasn't. need to run firefox 4.0 or older but don't know how to have two firefox versions on my computer at once. how to download old version w/out messing up updated.

Thanks. I was unaware of a portable version. Seeing how it's still newer than a 4.0, I'm not sure if it would work or still have the same hiccups the updated full version has. There are verification issues and html vs. plain text issues between dotster and the latest Firefox versions. Dotster said it has to be 4.0 or older. If I find a secure site to download an old version, can download it without it affecting my current version? Can I have them both running without them affecting each other? I'm wondering why Firefox is not taking care of the problem (informed by dotster that they're still waiting on Firefox for a fix).

  • Cannot manage accounts

When I go to open my email the email application simply hangs up and will not display any messages. When I go to accounts to try and delete or add, merely see the spinning circle and cannot manage, add ordelete an account. I've turned the unit on and off several times, deleted cache, etc, but nothing works. What do I do short of a complete security wipe?

    Hello Salmomma,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to connect your iPhone to your Mac.  I recommend following the steps in the tutorial below for an issue like this:
    iPhone not appearing in iTunes
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/itunes/
Additionally, you can delete music directly from the iPhone by swiping the song:
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.

  • Cannot manage newly swapped STB from Android phone

    Hi,
Our single STB died the other day, and we just successfully installed the replacement.  We can also see and manage (set up programs to record) on the replacement STB from the Verizon web site, so I know it's reachable from the Web.
However, we cannot get the replacement STB to come up on the My FIOS app on my Android phone.  The previous STB is still listed, but of course it's long gone.  We tried uninstalling and reinstalling the My FIOS app without success.
So, the question is, how do I get rid of the old STB in the app in order to successfully access the new one?
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hello,
I'm going by what I have on an iPhone (should be a similar app and features)...
    have you tried:
    1) (since you've done the reinstalling of the 'My FiOS App' already to no avail), try deleting and reinstalling the FiOS Remote App... this is because when you go to the 'Manage My DVR' section of the 'My FiOS' app, it brings you to the FiOS Remote.
    2) when you click on 'Manage My DVR', on the top right do you see the DVR location/name?  Does it list two DVRs or just one?  If two, can you uncheck the DVR that is no longer in use?
    3) From your FiOS TV Remote, go to Menu -- Settings -- FiOS TV Remote DVR -- Mobile Phone Access
If all else fails, try contacting Verizon's Technical Support via live chat or by calling 1-888-553-1555.
    Hope this helps!

  • Cannot manage files or folders both ways on network

I have recently added a intel iMac to my network and I am having trouble managing files in both directions. From my of mac mini I can delete move add etc files on the intel iMac but I cannot do it the other way around. I have identical settings on both units can anyone suggest what is wrong. When I try and delete a file on the mac mini I am told i do not have sufficient privileges but as I am the administrator do not know what else I need.
    Thanks

Sorry, I kind of glossed over these possible strategies, but it was somewhat intentional - AFP problems are gaining notoriety for being tough to troubleshoot and where the problem is poorly defined, a lot of time can be spent pursuing dead ends so I thought I would just mention them, while cutting to the chase and saying that reinstallation has eliminated the problem for many users. By being careful to choose the appropriate options, user's files need not be affected (provided nothing goes wrong). Unfortunately, while reinstalling may work, it does nothing to shed light on the underlying problem so that it can be properly isolated, reported, and ultimately fixed. But it isn't clear whether the problems Intel users are experiencing are due to something misconfigured, or if there is actually something wrong with the installation.
But anyway, re: creating new users, I was thinking in terms of creating a new user (via "System Preferences" > "Accounts") on the Intel Mac. Trying "admin" vs "non-admin" might also make a difference.
Resetting the "NetInfo" database might be considered an "advanced" method. On a fresh machine, there should be very little impact although user accounts will have to be recreated (their data should not be affected). On an established machine, various customizations (groups, sharepoints, users installed by applications, etc.) may be lost. When recreating users, make sure to use the same short name that they originally had. If they can be created in the same order that they were originally, even better. There are instructions here for resetting "NetInfo", but it doesn't cover recreating users:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107210
The so called "combo" updaters are more complete installer packages that replace or update more files than an incremental / "delta" updater, and allow minor intermediate updates to be skipped - eg. you could go directly from 10.4.4 listed in your profile, to the most recent 10.4.8 using the 10.4.8 "Combo" updater. If there is a reason why you need to stick with 10.4.4, the 10.4.4 "Combo" updater could be applied. Since the "combo" updaters are more thorough, they often end up replacing bad files that might be missed by an incremental update. They can be downloaded from Apple - be sure to choose an appropriate version (OS X version, client vs server, Intel vs PPC)

  • Categories is greyed out so I cannot manage them, I am a new customer

I am having very little luck with support from the SAP Portal to pose this question, I am a new customer and in the set up phase of Crystal Reports Server 2008.   As a supposed super admin I am unable to send a ticket because they can't get my authorities correct.   SO HERE'S  MY ISSUE RIGHT NOW
I CANNOT ACTIVATE THE CATEGORIES IN THE CMC.   I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL THE BASIC INSTRUCTIONS AND WHEN I GO TO THE FOLDERS AND MANAGE THE CATEGORIES IS GREYED OUT SO I CANNOT SELECT ON IT.

How exactly are you trying to accomplish that ?
You cannot set what user will see when he logs in Infoview from CMC.
You can login in Infoview as administrator, then set your Preferences to show categories and save it.
Then you'll need to run a script that copies Admin preferences to selected groups or users.
There are couple of threads here on this subject, I do not recall what that script is...
Have you looked at the Admin guide ? it has most of this info as well.
