Cannot play flash videos : vista / firefox or IE

I have flash player installed, updated to the latest flash, javascript enabled, have tried turning off firewalls and norton 360, turned off all firefox extensions.
cannot get certain videos to play in firefox or internet explorer.
when I try to open some html camtasia files in my browser I get this image in the browser (see image) , but I know that I have javascript enabled and the latest version of flash
what is the problem?

Download the installer(s) from the links in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/889580 and save to disk. Close all browser windows, then run the downloaded installer(s).

Cannot play Flash video in Chrome 64bit

I cannot play Flash videos in Facebook when I upgraded my Google Chrome on Windows 8.1 to the latest 64bit v.37 and Flash player to v.15 . The error message was "Can't load plug-in". This is a follow-up to the discussion in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/956602
entitled: "Since upgrade, FIrefox 20 and Adobe flash player 11 eat up all my CPU wieh playing streaming video." I would post it there, but since that thread is "archived" I cannot. I wish there was a way that I could get readers of that thread to see this solution.
On September 3, 2013, I posted that this problem had been affecting my Windows 7 64 bit system as well: After playing a Flash video with the latest Firefox and Flash player, my CPU usage was 100% consumed by an unknown process. The only fix was to reboot, and its effects were only temporary, until playing the next flash video.
Yesterday, a routine scan by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) discovered, and recommended removal of, an application called Link Swift, which according to my Control Panel / Programs and Features, had been installed on 9/1/2013. I have no memory of deliberately installing it, and so I let MBAM uninstall it. Since then my system seems to behave normally again.

Sigh. No, it's not fixed. Despite my optimistic report of yesterday, after a few more web sites, a few more videos, the CPU utilization climbed to 100% of each of my four processors, my system became unusable and had to be re-booted. It is as if Firefox gradually consumes some resource which is eventually depleted, and not restored even when Firefox quits.

When I visit CNETTV (http://cnettv.cnet.com/six-essential-free-apps-your-new-pc/9742-1_53-50097586.html) to view/play the video, I get a response back of "To play this video, you need Javascript enabled and the latest version of Flash installed. Install Flash now". I can play to video just fine with IE8. I don't know if it is just with CNETTV that this problem exists but it appears that this may be the case. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks.

Check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page. 
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website. 
Filter: general.useragent 
If any general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then right-click that pref and choose Reset.

cannot play videos from homepage or make the weather.com motion feature work. Looks like they are just looping or searching and not loading.

Problems Playing Flash Videos w/ Firefox 3.6.8 and Flash 10,1,82,76

When I go to www.yankees.com or any other MLB team site, the videos don't play. All I get is a black area where the video would play. However, when I go to Youtube.com, videos play just fine. What could the problem be. This only started after I went to FireFox 3.6.8.

Cannot play any videos

I cannot play any videos using firefox. This is a new problem that did not exist last month. Installed latest firefox upgrades, no help. Uninstalled firefox and then reinstalled, did not help. Installed latest flash, did not help. Been dealing with the problem at least last week.

No matter how many uninstalls and reinstalls Firefox 4 will not play flash videos w the latest flash plugin installed. What do I do to get flash videos to play like everyone esle can?

Trying to solve my non-playing flash videos wherever I surf in Firefox 401 w Flash plugin 10.2.159.1, such as CNN or anywhere really while surfing. Even at the Adobe web site I cannot play demo videos and I own CS4 Suite. I can play any YouTube video I select.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Firefox freezes while playing flash videos.

When i play flash videos Firefox freezes. frames is lagging but the sound is ok.

Can't anyone just make a FU$%&# browser that works? I do not understand why I have to come on a forum and try this...or maybe that...or wait maybe this... just to be able to do what a browser is supposed to do..BROWSE THE INTERNET!
I switched over to Firefox from Chrome because Shockwave kept crashing non-stop while trying to listen to music on Soundcloud and now I have another browser that does the same thing except worse as far as I'm concerned because I have to restart the whole program.
I guess I just don't understand how it can be this difficult to accomplish tasks that seem so trivial in nature...the internet has been around for quite a while now and technology is evolving ever faster by the day but for some reason it seems that the reliability of web browsers is decreasing just as fast in the opposite direction.
Please excuse my frustration......I just wanna be able to listen to a whole DJ mix just one time. Is that really too much to ask? I can't even believe that I might have to resort back to IE...oh man...I thought things were moving forward but apparently I have been looking in the rear view mirror this whole time

Firefox will not play flash videos

Firefox 3.6.12 will not play flash videos. I see many people have this problem so let me list everything that I tried or thought of:
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled Flash and Firefox
2. Flash works on IE- and i do have both versions of flash installed for IE and Firefo
3.Adblock plugin is not installed
4.In Safemode, videos still do not play
5. Other issues with firefox started when I installed Webroot Desktop Firewall so I uninstalled it and am using windows firewall

Repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the menu bar, quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
If that didn't help, install the v10.5.8 combo update.
