Cannot register asset to the zone

I continue to get an error code: -21 could not determine device type OS.
I get this when I goto a command prompt and type zac register https://192.168.1.251
I type in the right username and password, but it's not working and gives this error back.
How else can I get this asset registered?

o.k. thanks for responding. Now just trying to get the login info for the Sybase db utility and I'll let you know the rest. I do need to apply that patch.

Cannot register servers to the CMS

Hi all,
We are running CE10 (Express) on a SBS2000 machine (very old I know!) . Everything was working fine until we installed a new SBS2003 domain controller on the network.
When I rejoined the 2000 machine to the domain, most CE services stopped running. I now have the problem that the Crystal Input/Output File Repository, Crystal Job, and Crystal Program Job servers still will not start.
In the Crystal Config Manager I can't get all the servers to Enable. Only the Crystal Cache and Web Component Servers are currently enabled.
When I attempt to enable the others, the following error message appears,
"A server running on a machine different from the CMS machine may not register to the CMS when using the Express version or a per processor license. The product must be upgraded"
This doesn't make much sense as all the servers (including the CMS) are still on the same old 2000 machine. I have changed nothing but the local administrator password, which was changed in line with the new domain admin password. I wasn't involved in the original CE configuration, but as far as I can see there was no dependency on the old domain controller.
Hope someone can help, as I've tried lots of things and completely run out of ideas.

Thanks Tim, that was very helpful. I recreated the services and this has now allowed me to start all of them and also enable all of them. So I'm nearly there.
Only trouble now is that running a report through CE now gives the message:
The database logon for this report is either incomplete or incorrect
This looks similar to the old looping database logon problems that I've seen before. Will do some more searching and see what I can find.

Cannot Register for "Ask The Experts How to Improve Your PC's Performance"

I'm trying to register for this event, but everytime I click the Signing Up link it takes me to "HP Passport New User Registration". I enter my information, then it says I am already a user, try signing in. I am signed in, obviously since I'm posting this. Can anyone help as I would like to register for this event.

You don't have to do anything to sign up for the event. Since you already are a member of the Forum, you wil be able to ask questions. Just be sure to sign into the Forum before you click on the link that will appear right before the chat event is going to start.

Ap 1231G cannot register to WLC

my wlc version is 7.2.115.2.
ap 1231G version is c1200-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2
the ap cannot register to WLC.
the lap is used stats ip address,its can pinged to wlc.
Version does not support?
and the other ap is 1241 version is 12.4<13d>JA.its can register to wlc
only this 1231G can not register.

HI Cena,
This error message means that the controller received a discovery request through a broadcast IP address that has a source IP address (given), which is not in any configured subnets on the controller. It also means that the controller dropped the packet. This typically happens when the u trunks all allowed VLANs instead of restricted them to wireless VLANs.
Please allow only specific vlans.
Complete these steps in order to resolve this problem:
1.If the controller is on another subnet, the APs must be primed for the controller IP address, or the APs must receive the controllers IP address using any one of the discovery methods.
2.The switch is configured to allow some VLANs that are not on the controller. Restrict the allowed VLANs on the trunks.

I purchased Creative Suite 6 from an Adobe authorized reseller. The software is working, but I cannot register CS6 on the Adobe Site. The message says: You cannot register your software because your serial number come from a volume licensing program. Is it legit for a reseller to sell copies from volume licensing program?

About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone. Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc. This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...

Each device has been registered onto this account and this computer, and all have worked finely in the past. I am so confused as to why now seemingly without reason, none of our apple devices (one iPod, two iPhones) are allowed to have music and other material downloaded onto them. Also, as a side note, they still are charged by plugging them into the computer, however they do not even show up on the left-hand sidebar in iTunes.
It should also be noted that for my iPhone it does not allow for the new update software to be uploaded; it just says that an error has occurred, nothing more.

Check with your network team, network conenction between PI and Data base not working , Network team have to open Data base system ports inorder connect PI System.
check with Basis team about network connectivty,like they are bale to ping Data base server ip or not.

I am working in 2008r2sp1. I tried adding DNS Server and DHCP Roles first. Then under DNS Forward Lookup Zones I added "mysite.com" as a New Zone.
Also I searched my computer for a "NTDS" folder and the only on I found was "C:\Windows\inf\NTDS".
A delegation for this DNS server cannot be created because the authoritative parent zone cannot be found or it does not run Windows DNS server. If you are integrating with an existing DNS infrastructure, you should manually create a delegation to this DNS server in the parent zone to ensure reliable name resolution from outside the domain "artisdextri.com". Otherwise, no action is required.
The folder C:\Windows\inf\NTDS> is not valid. Specify a valid path, including drive letter. For example: C:\NTDS.

How do you register iLife software that came preloaded on an iMac (I cannot seem to locate the Marketing Part Number) on the DVD?

I just purchased an iMac with iLife and iWork preloaded.
I wanted to register the software, but I cannot seem to locate the Marketing Part Number (MPN). Help states the MPN is located on the product packaging near the barcode. I can locate the barcode on the sleeve of the disc, but the MPN does not seem to be there. Help states it starts with a letter and has the format M#####/#. I have tried to enter each set of numbers shown, but all are invalid.

You registered it when you registered the computer. Apple software bundled with a Mac can't be registered separately from it; that service is for standalone purchases only.

Sorry, but no help is possible. You can only use the UAE iTunes Store, and Apple can only offer what content they are able to license for sale in that country. You'll have to look elsewhere for content. Whether there are any other download stores able to sell in the UAE I don't know. You may need to purchased CDs and import them into iTunes.

DNS The Zone cannot be deleted - the active directory service is not available

As you can see from the Summery, I got this message when I'm trying to delete DNS Zone.
It's not matter if the DNS Zone newly created or its an Old One.
After this message the computer is telling you "The Computer is about to make Restart".
It's so strange and i really don't know what to check first.
More Information:
5 Servers that Replicate together.
The Operation System is Windows Server 2012R2 for all the entire DC's
1 Domain In the Forest.

DCdiag /fix and no errors in there everything marked as PASSED.
I did Demotion for one of the DC to troubleshoot, but with no luck i'm back to the same point i started
I tried to delete the brand new Zone from the commandline using DNScmd it's still not working and the computer is reboot himslef.
I've checked the permissions from the ADSIEdit.msc:
Inherit from MicrosoftDNS section to the ROOT
DNSAdmins > Full Control
Domain Admins > Full Control
From "DNS Server" section at the EventViewer
The DNS server is waiting for Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) to signal that the initial synchronization of the directory has been completed. The DNS server service cannot start until the initial synchronization is complete because critical DNS
data might not yet be replicated onto this domain controller. If events in the AD DS event log indicate that there is a problem with DNS name resolution, consider adding the IP address of another DNS server for this domain to the DNS server list in the Internet

It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
