Cannot run WebLogic Integration Samples from QuickStart

I have installed the full WebLogic platform on an Intel box running Red Hat Linux
8.0. From QuickStart I am unable to run the WebLogic Integration Samples. Everything
else seems to work as expected.
The error message that results when attempting to run the Integration samples
is as follows:
RunSamples execution failed: /usr/local/bea/weblogic700/samples/integration/samples/lib/RunSamples.xml:106:
Cannot execute switchdb pointbase

Dear Micha,
Did you maintain the host file in Drivers\etc file:
hope this will solve the problem
If you did not add them plz add the hosts as follows:
      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # source server
       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x client host
      (your PI server IP)   server Id name
And also check your Java web start version.
download the correct version for sun website.

    Hi, All,
    The Weblogic Integration 2.0 Sample is available for download from the

    This sample shows how to develop a standard based integration solution

    Integration 2.0, including Business Process Management (BPM), Enterprise
    Information System (EIS) connectivity, inter-enterprise collaboration
    (B2Bi), and XML/non-XML data transformation.

    It shoud not took 3 hours. Normally, you expect wait for 1 -2 minutes.
    For your case, I suggest to
    (1)run the cleanWF.cmd script then shutdown the server
    (2)restart the server
    (3) run cleanWF again
    (4) run the sample.
    let me know if you still have problems

    Chunbo/Henry,
    While running the WLI sample, I have been waiting for a QPA Reponse frommy
    suppliers for about three hours, is this expected behavior? I havechecked the
    weblogic.log file and there are no exceptions. I seem to be stuck on the
    "Check QPA Reponse" screen. This was addressed briefly in the user guide,
    however, it didn't say how long you should wait. Please advise, thanks.
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • Cannot get accurate eyedropper sample from imported graphic

    I am working in illustrator CS5 set to CMYK which my imported photoshop layered file is also. When I sample a color from the imported psd file, it will not accurately pick it up. I have to write down the numbers in photoshop and hand apply them in illustrator. This is not the way it used to work so I think I have something set incorrectly. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? When I double click on the eyedropper tool, the 2 appearance boxes are unchecked. Thank you.

    You were probably SHIFT clicking the eyedropper tool to get a color sample.
    The Photoshop method is more accurate as you can set the sample radius. Embedding the image gets you almost perfect values, for some reason my tests show that to be off by a very minor 1/10 %, but much much  better than not embedding.
    The values are supposed to be 15m 10015m 0Y 5K form a flat tint in Photoshop.

  • Cannot run OIM SDK Sample on WLS 10.3 with OIM 9102

    Hello OIM Experts,
    Refer to Oracle Identity Manager API Usage Guide, Section 1.6.1, URL:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14049_01/doc.9101/e14058/chapter1.htm#BIHDGAID
    I'm quoting the exact text here, with key lines highlighted in bold:
    Setup and Configuration
    To install the API:
    Create the following directory structure:
    1. Custom Client\config\lib\ext
    2. Copy the files from the config, lib, and ext folders of a standard Oracle Identity Manager desktop client installation to the config, lib, and ext folders, respectively, of your custom client installation.
    3. Copy the basecp.bat and classpath.bat files to the Custom Client directory.
    4. Open the classpath.bat file in a text editor and append the following line to the end of the file: ;.\ext\javagroups-all.jar;.\ext\oscache.jar;.\ext\commons-logging.jar
    5. Append the following in the classpath.bat file:
    For Oracle WebLogic Server
    Create a batch file with the following commands:
    call classpath
    set CLIENT_CLASS=fully qualified name of your custom API client class
    java -Djava.security.manager -DXL.HomeDir=.
    -Djava.security.policy=config\xl.policy
    -Djava.security.auth.login.config=config\authwl.conf
    -Djava.naming.provider.url=t3://host_name:port CLIENT_CLASS
    Questions:
    1. In Step 5, the instruction given is to "Append the following in the classpath.bat file"; then in the following section, under server specific instructions, there is new instruction to "Create a batch file with the following commands".
    Therefore, the given code should be append to classpath.bat or written to a new batch file?
    2. From my own analysis, these codes should go to the new batch file, since there is this line "call classpath" which is not supposed to appear in classpath.bat, else it will cause an infinite loop. If my assumption is true, then what should be append to classpath.bat as instructed in Step 5?
    3. Still assuming the code belongs to a new batch file: how will this file be used? There is no instruction to execute the new batch file manually. And since there is no restrictions on the file naming, it is very unlikely that my OIM SDK project will be able to detect and execute the file automatically. Therefore if the file is never used, what is the purpose of creating it?
    I'm very concerned about this step, because from the code I can see it is addressing areas such as Security Manager, Security Policy and Login Authentication, which is exactly what our problem is about.
    Sample Code Error: Invalid Account Exception

    These queues are automatically created by OIM during installation. You can verify this by loggin into WLS admin console and going to

  • Cannot start Weblogic 10.0 from Workshop 10.3 on 64 bit Suse linux

    The following problem has cost me several hours. Maybe this will be helpful to others....
    In Weblogic Workshop 10.3, after registering a Weblogic 10.0 server configuration (Servers View > New...) and creating a new domain (taking the defaults from the wizard), the server fails to start (right-click on server in Servers View then select Start). There are no errors, but a time-out occurs. From the console output, the server appears to start normally and the admin console is available in a web browser, but the State in Workshop never changes from "starting" to "started". This makes deployment impossible.
    From another forum thread, I guessed this may have something to do with a 32-bit/64-bit Java Virtual Machine memory addressing problem.
    Solution
    I created a new domain using the wizard. In the domain-creation wizard, I selected a 64-bit JVM (not part of the Weblogic installation) instead of any of the defaults (which are presumably all 32-bit). With this, the server successfully starts.

    WLS 10.3 and above require Java 1.6, and certain versions. It's recommend that you use one of the JVM's installed with the product. For 10.3, I think that is jdk160_05.

  • Cannot run jnlp/webstart app from html page locally - application blocked

    I'm trying the DynamicTree demo from the oracle site locally. I've copied the code into Eclipse, built my jar, signed it, modified the jnlp and html but when I try and run it, it pops up the message saying its blocked. I've changed my java security settings to as low as they will go, and changed the advanced settings to allows allow jnlp but still no luck. I can however run it from the example on the oracle site?
    Does anybody have any ideas?

  • How to run a BI query from SSM

    HI,
    My client would like to drill down to a BI query where the starting point is a KPI.
    For eg, we have a KPI "Turnover". When we are at kpi detailed level for a specific period, we would like to run a query to have detailed information for turnover (we dont want to use report functionnality of SSM).
    We are using SSM 7.5 and BW queries as data provider.
    Is there a way to achieve this ? (web service ? )
    Thanks in adavnce

    Jacques,
    You cannot run a BI Query from the end user interface of SSM. Your alternatives are to create an associated report inside SSM or use an Associated Link in the KPI Details section.
    Right above the graphing on the KPI detail page there is the link Create Associated Report. SSM has some template reports and allows users to put together a report based on available SSM data.
    There is also the possibility of using Associated Links on the KPI detail page to point the user via a url to another reporting application, though it would not bring that data with it.

  • Unable to hear sound when playing Music Sampler from website

    Hi
    I am unable to hear any sound when trying to listen to music samples on Amazon (for example) and also other websites. I have enabled Firewall to all the internet player, which does launch and start playing but there is no sound.
    The volume is definately up on the speakers and I have tested Windows Media Player and it plays radio and other music on my pc perfectly well. So I am unsure as to why I cannot hear the music samples from websites now (I have done in the past).
    An example of a link which has music sample is http://www.amazon.ca/Madeleine-Peyroux-Careless-Love/dp/B0002NRRAG
    Please can you let me know your comments about this problem.
    Thank you

    Hi
    Did you check if the Wave volume control in the Sound and audio devices was set to higher level???
    This control is responsible for the sound volume of any music files.

  • Cannot run BEA WebLogic 8.1 SP 3 with JDK 1.6

    Hi,
    Im using BEA Weblogic 8.1 SP3 trying to run a sample where a Robot from Kapow Mashup Server is called from a WebService hosted in the server.
    The thing is that I keep getting a EJB Exception: : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/StringBuilder (I attach the full exception below). I realised that by default the server uses the JDK which comes with the software (version 1.4) and that the class java.lang.StringBuilder is only available from JDK 1.5 onwards.
    I have JDK 1.6 in my system, so in WebLogic -> Tools -> Application Properties -> JDK Home, I set that folder but still same exception occurs.
    Through the Configuration Wizard I create a new “Basic WebLogic Server Domain” and in the step to configure the Java SDK I set the JDK 1.6 folder. However, when I try to start that server I get this error.

    If I modify the settings of this new domain an pick a BEA Supplied SDKs, everything works just fine.
    Someone can give a hand on that? It seems like Bea WebLogic 8.1 and JDK 1.6 are not compatible. Completely stacked here.

    Even if it is a very naive question but I just cannot get it worked, what do you mean by using jdk 1.5 on client side?
    I guess client side is completely out of WLS so the jdk to be used on the client side is not set in the environment.
    However, the Exception Im getting is on the server side, when it tries to run the code automatically generated from Kapow Mashup Server 6.3. That code is embedded in a jar file, but it seems it makes a call to the java.lang.StringBuilder class which as said before, it is only available from jdk 1.5 onwards.
    Should I contact Kapow Mashup Server support to see how the sample code is generated or I am missing something?

  • Upgrading a project from Weblogic Integration 8.1.3 to Weblogic Integration

    Can anyone offer any advice to assist me in upgrading a project from Weblogic Integration 8.1.3 to Weblogic Integration 9.2.1?
    Here are some nuances of the project:
    * The JNDI, JDBC, & JMS server resources are secured; access is controlled by Deployment Descriptor run-as/security-role/... tags and custom CSPs
    * The application is currently build for deployment using wlwBuild ant task (class in workshop.core.WlwBuildTask which is located in the 8.1.3 {weblogic.home}/workshop/wlw-ide.jar - so far I can't find this class/task in my 9.2.1 install)
    * The following are the application characteristics (and utilized WLI features): multiple web apps, EJBs, JMS, Page flow/netUI, web services, WLI controls (process, java, transformation), XMLBeans
    * One of the project goals is to not make any functional changes and modify as little code as necessary (the only expected justification for a modification is a) fallout out from the JVM 1.5 upgrade or b) something is no longer available in WLI 9.2)
    I know there is a edocs page with a tutorial for upgrading from 8.1.4 or 8.1.5 to 9.2, but I am interested in knowing if anyone has insight on upgrading directly from 8.1.3?
    Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.
    Regards,
    Andy Frank

    just as a followup to my original message.. regarding the 8.1.4 install log that had all the warnings with the msi it expected and the different one it found... at the bottom of the log..this is what I got;
    Property(S): SourcedirProduct = {AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-A81300000003}

    MSI (s) (6C:30) [11:11:23:828]: Product: Adobe Reader 8.1.4 -- Installation operation completed successfully.
    when i go into adobe reader -> help -> about i stillget 8.1.3

  • Calling rmi running in Weblogic 6.x from Jboss 4.0.5GA

    Hi all,
    Recently i have a project that needs me to call a remote ejb which is running in Weblogic 6.x. It is using Weblogic's proprietary protocol known as "t3". If i include weblogic.jar (i believe this version of weblogic doesn't deliver its client lib wlclient.jar) in my war file's WEB-INF/lib, i get this error:
    2007-06-30 17:32:33,462 ERROR (GqsClient.java:93) - TestProject: Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
    javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory]
    I've tried to put it in server/default/lib but that throws another exception.
    My test code:
    Properties jndiProperties = new Properties();
    jndiProperties.setProperty( Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
    MY_INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY );
    jndiProperties.setProperty( Context.PROVIDER_URL, MY_PROVIDER_URL );
    Context initialContext;
    initialContext = new InitialContext( jndiProperties );
    Object homeInt = initialContext.lookup( MY_EJB );
    objectHome = ( SomeObjectHome ) PortableRemoteObject
    .narrow( homeInt, SomeObjectHome.class );
    objectRemote = objectHome.create();
    Have i done anything wrong in the codes?
    Where should i put my weblogic.jar?

  • Sqlserver integration service issue CDC source cannot run successfully

    issue category:SQL
    Server Integration Services (SSIS)
    issue type:
    data flow
    Environment
        Windows edition: Windows Server 2012  Standard
        System type: 64-bit Operating System
        Dot Net Framework version: .Net Framework 4 Multi-Targeting Pack
        SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Enterprise (64-bit)
    Error log
        The PrimeOutput method on “XXXSource” returned success, but did not report an end of the rowset. There is an error in the component. It should have reported an end-of-row. The pipeline will shutdown execution to avoid
    unpredictable results.
    Ps: The component mentioned above refers to SSIS component “CDC Source”.
    More information:
    I have found some information about this, it relates with HResults.DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTNOEOR Field. I would like to know why this happens, and how to fix it. Also I can run CDC Source in another
    similar environment, but cannot run on Cloud environment.
    Thanks,
    Lory Hou

    I have tried run this script:
    use MyTable
                   declare @start_lsn binary(10), @end_lsn binary(10)
                   set @start_lsn = sys.fn_cdc_increment_lsn(
                           convert(binary(10),'0x' + '0000006A000002620003', 1))
                   set @end_lsn =
                           convert(binary(10),'0x' + '0000008A0000008B0001', 1)
                   select * from cdc.fn_cdc_get_all_changes_dbo_TableOperation_CashDrop_TableCashDropRecord(@start_lsn,
    @end_lsn, 'all')
    The following message may be returned by SQL Server:
    An insufficient number of arguments were supplied for the procedure or function cdc.fn_cdc_get_net_changes_<..>.
    MSDN’s explantion: This error does not indicate that an argument is missing. It means that the start or end LSN values in the CDC state variable are invalid.
    But why is '0x0000006A000002620003' and '0x0000008A0000008B0001' invalid?
