Cannot save search result to spreadsheet

Hi,
I cannot save data to speadsheet if the return data is large, it will have "The page cannot be displayed". I already set the "max rows" to a big number. There are errors in the error.log "mod_plsql: Long running URL [pls/htmldb/f] timed out"
How to fix the problem, is there any settings for that? Thanks for your help.

  • Navigation Link not working from save search result

    Hello Experts,
We have a requirement in our application which is created from scratch, I have implemenetd save search  and its working fine, we have some navigation links in result. these links does not work from save search results moreover it works with normal search.
Can anybody help me out to achieve it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Madhu Omer

    Hi Madhu,
If you want to trigger cross-component navigation to an overview page, then the following conditions should be satisfied:
    1. Your last outbound plug calls method fire_outbound_plug( ).
    2. The collection passed in fire_outbound_plug( ) contains two entities - a navigation descriptor as the first entity and a root object of the object you want to navigate to as the second entity.
In your case, is condition 2 satisfied? You can create a navigation descriptor by calling the following method passing its two mandatory importing parameters as indicated:
    CL_CRM_UI_DESCRIPTOR_OBJ_SRV=>CREATE_UI_OBJECT_BASED(
        EXPORTING
IV_UI_OBJECT_TYPE = * UI object type of object to which you want to navigate *
            IV_UI_OBJECT_ACTION = 'B'            "for Display
If you keep debugging the standard outbound plugs, then you will see that at some location, SAP will surely be inserting this navigation descriptor object in the collection as first object in the collection when calling fire_outbound_plug( ).
If you still can't trigger navigation, please mention the BOL objects you are working with, the component you have created and where you have used it.

  • Save search results?

Is there any way to save the search results of a Full Text Index?  I need to search over 5,000 documents and be able to return to the results.  Also, is there a limit to the number of results returned?  It seems kind of fishy that the results we a nice round 500.  I'd appreciate any help and advice!

  • No search result using managed property from a column of a published infopath form

    Hi,
I'm trying to use a managed property in the advanced search to retrieve only words from a column of a published InfoPath form. We are using FAST Search and verify that the column are being crawled by checking the crawled property in Central Admin but still
cannot retrieve search result for the managed property. We also do a full crawl before testing the search. Thank you..

    Hi Rommel,
When we create a column from a list (not site column), then we need create list item with this column value, then we need to full crawl, then the the crawled propery ows_listColumnName will be generated, then create a managed property to map this
crawled property(start a full crawl again if needed), then add the custom managed property in advance search web part property, then check again.
Here is an article about how to add the custom managed proerpty in advanced search web part, you can take a look.

  • When I click on a result of a Google search and then go that web site, the Back button on the toolbar is grayed out and I cannot return to the search results.

When using FF3.6 and making a Google search, when I click on a result and then go that web site, the Back button on the toolbar is grayed out and I cannot return to the search results without going to History. This does not happen all the time; about 1/2 of the time.
This problem is not limited to Google, but occurs with other sites as well.

If you are talking about searches from - http://www.google.com/ - are you logged into a Google account all the time? If so, check your "Search Settings" from the "gear" in the upper-right corner of that Google search page and see if you have '''Open search results in a new browser window.''' check-marked, at the bottom of that preferences page. When that is check-marked and you have Tab options in Firefox set to '''Open new windows in a new tab instead''', you will get search results always opening in a new tab instead of the same tab. As to why that works different for "sponsored links" I don't know, I haven't seen the "sponsored links" for years now, I have a GM script that blocks those advertisements.

  • Safari 5.0.2 doesn't save any more google search results in the history.

    Hello together,
Safari doesn't save any more google search results in the history.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1.) go to google.com
    2.) search for "APPLE"
    3.) open the history
Result: the search for "APPLE" is not saved - only the Google mainpage.
This has something to do with the new search string in the Location bar. Safari does not save URL with /#.
    For example:
    the new string is http://www.google.de/#hl=...
    the old one is: http://www.google.de/search?hl=....
The change must something to do with the new Google-Search-Feature. When I deactivate it, then google works with the old string and I found the searches in the history.
The second negative effect is, when you type "apple" into the location bar (after a search), the autocomplete shows the search result, but when you hit enter, you are redirected to the Google-Mainpage.
    Very annoying
    Can somebody confirm.
    Thanks

  • Add "Save" button to search results

    Hi,
a customer would like to add a "Save" button to search results to enable users to download documents in KD instead of opening them.
Results can be for instance from a crawled file system.
    How can I do it?
    Thanks.

As long as your list is bring crawled, which it must be, your custom columns should get mapped to managed properties. You can now update your Search Results Web Part's Item Display Template to retrieve this additional particular managed property,
and then display it if there is a value.

The library is being crawled and I added the column to "Managed Properties" on the search settings on O365 and mapped it to the actual column. Now I don't know how to add it on the "Search Result" Webpart to include the Column Property before
displaying the name of the document

  • Search a huge spreadsheet takes forever or results in crashing!

    Hello friends,
After i parted for more than 6 months from office 2008 for mac, i found myself in the position of reinstalling it (SAD) after working only with iwork 09.
The thing is i got a huge spreadsheet with more than 10 000 entries and working with it in Numbers was like PAIN or near impossible. For instance unhiding 10 000 entries takes like 30 seconds, if i choose to unhide all rows it takes forever or it crashes. If i search ANYTHING using cmd+f it takes 4-5 minutes to give up results. Also searching is near impossible since as soon as you type the first letters of a word, Numbers begins the search (i can kiss 5 minutes goodbye) and i didn't even finish to type the whole word.
    This is crazy!
Does anyone have problems with Numbers 09 and long spreadsheets?
    Andrei

Well this is a pity then. It seems i can't work on my brand new shiny, and much more powerful Mac because Apple doesn't get along well with BIG stuff (in my case spreadsheets). I wonder what else Apple can't deal with, and other crappy PCs can very well do (and by PCs i also imply Microsoft).
PS: Koenig, your tone is really not necessary because i've searched the Numbers threads many times before i posted, using combinations of keywords like: search, big, huge, spreadsheet, time, forever, crash etc... and little evidence pointed out to my case.
So in a way by your assumptions (that i've first found and THEN read what you people discussed in some threads and that i also didn't "take care") you get a little angry because probably many people ask the same thing over and over again, and i fear your anger is really misguided.
All those people and you included should be angry (if that's the case) on Apple not loyal customers like me that bought iWork 08 AND iWork 09 expecting a product that can cope with almost anything including doing heavy duty spreadsheets.
*Having said that maybe you would advise me to spend 5x more money on Office 2008 _for all the Macs at work_ just to be sure to be able to work with big spreadsheets?!*

  • Cannot see managed properties values in search result webpart- Sharepoint online

    Hi,
Cannot see custom managed properties at site collection level in ResultScriptWebPart for SharePoint online. where as it is visible when i create managed properties @SSA (Search Service Application) level.
Below are the steps which I followed:
    1) I have added few custom managed properties at Search Site collection level in SharePoint online.
    2) Mapped those properties to user profile crawled properties
    3) We are using those custom managed properties in ResultScriptWebPart(People Search Core Results) by using ItemTemplate
I cannot see those managed properties in search result. When I debug it in browser it comes as null.
But when I add these managed properties @SSA (Search Service Application) level I can see the value in search result webpart.
What is the reason value doesn't get populated  at Site Collection level?
    Thanks,
    Prashant A

    Hi Prashant,
Based on your description, the site collection managed property cannot work in SharePoint Online.
For troubleshooting this issue, I recommend to verify the things below:
Please make sure that the full crawl has been run after creating the managed property.
Please check if the managed property is set to be searchable.
Please search with this managed property to see if the results can be returned.
    Thanks,

  • Cannot export or save filter results

I do not really see the point of the filter function if you cannot "save as" the results or export the results or even do a count of the results. Does any one know a way round this?
For example if you have many addresses but want to filter out certain cities. You can use the filter so you are LOOKING at just the cities you want but you cannot then do anything with it - you cannot export just those cities or save as or even count them.

    Hey Tony,
I agree with you, I also need an easier way to copy/export my filtered results into other sheets.
When I try to copy the filtered results, Numbers also copy all the cells between the results (eventhough it didn't appear in the results), the only way for me to copy it was do it one by one. this is very painful because I usually working with 20,000 data (20,000 row of cells)
I'm impressed with the options for us to set unlimited filtering options (in excel, we only can set max 2 filtering options), but Numbers still need to learn much from excel on how to handle the filtered results.
So far, I still work with excel all the time, the Numbers application is useless in my Mac
Hope it will be fix in the next update.

  • I notice I have an add on called search results optimizator 8.17, I do not remember deliberately installing this add on and I cannot uninstall it, I have disabled it as it redirected me to a search site when I logged on to Photobucket, I would like to kno

I have enabled the add on again to find the web page it directs me to...
    http://www.landing.savetubevideo.com/
This is the page it takes me to when I try to log into Photobucket.
I did install a Youtube downloader from SaveTubeVideo but un-installed it. The Search Results Optimizator must have been installed at the same time. But it does not give you an option to remove it, only to disable it.

    Hi TwoSheds,
System-installed extensions can't be uninstalled from Firefox. Instead you can find and remove this application from Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.
However, disabling an add-on renders it fully inert; it isn't loaded at all and can't do anything.

  • ADFS SSO and SharePoint 2013 on-premise Hybrid outbound search results from SharePoint Online - does it work?

    Hi,
I want to setup an outpund hybrid search for SharePoint 2013 on-premise to SharePoint Online.
But I'm not shure if this works with ADFS SSO.
Has somebody experience with this setup?
Here's my guide which I'm going to use for this installation:
    Introduction
In this post I'll show you how to get search results from your SharePoint Online in your SharePoint 2013 on-premise search center.
    Requirements
User synchronisation ActiveDirectory to Office 365 with DirSync
DirSync password sync or ADFS SSO
    SharePoint Online
    SharePoint 2013 on-premise
    Enterprise Search service
    SharePoint Online Management Shell
    Instructions
All configuration will be done either in the Search Administration of the Central Administration or in the PowerShell console of your on-premise SharePoint 2013 server.
Set up Sever to Server Trust
    Export certificates
To create a server to server trust we need two certificates.
[certificate name].pfx: In order to replace the STS certificate, the certificate is needed in Personal Information Exchange (PFX) format including the private key.
[certificate name].cer: In order to set up a trust with Office 365 and Windows Azure ACS, the certificate is needed in CER Base64 format.
First launch the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
Select your SharePoint web server and double-click Server Certificates
In the Actions pane, click Create Self-Signed Certificate
Enter a name for the certificate and save it with OK
To export the new certificate in the Pfx format select it and click Export in the Actions pane
Fill the fields and click OK Export to: C:\[certificate
    name].pfx Password: [password]
Also we need to export the certificate in the CER Base64 format. For that purpose make a right-click on the certificate select it and click on View...
Click the Details tab and then click Copy to File
On the Welcome to the Certificate Export Wizard page, click Next
On the Export Private Key page, click Next
On the Export File Format page, click Base-64 encoded X.509 (.CER), and then click Next.
    As file name enter C:\[certificate
    name].cer and then click Next
    Finish the export
Import the new STS (SharePoint Token Service) certificate
Let's update the certificate on the STS. Configure and run the PowerShell script below on your SharePoint server.
    if(-not (Get-PSSnapin "Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue)){Add-PSSnapin "Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell"}
    # set the cerficates paths and password
    $PfxCertPath = "c:\[certificate name].pfx"
    $PfxCertPassword = "[password]"
    $X64CertPath = "c:\[certificate name].cer"
    # get the encrypted pfx certificate object
    $PfxCert = New-Object System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate2 $PfxCertPath, $PfxCertPassword, 20
    # import it
    Set-SPSecurityTokenServiceConfig -ImportSigningCertificate $PfxCert
Type Yes when prompted with the following message.
You are about to change the signing certificate for the Security Token Service. Changing the certificate to an invalid, inaccessible or non-existent certificate will cause your SharePoint installation to stop functioning. Refer
to the following article for instructions on how to change this certificate: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=178475. Are you
    sure, you want to continue?
Restart IIS so STS picks up the new certificate.
    & iisreset
    & net stop SPTimerV4
    & net start SPTimerV4
Now validate the certificate replacement by running several PowerShell commands and compare their outputs.
    # set the cerficates paths and password
    $PfxCertPath = "c:\[certificate name].pfx"
    $PfxCertPassword = "[password]"
    # get the encrypted pfx certificate object
    New-Object System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate2 $PfxCertPath, $PfxCertPassword, 20
    # compare the output above with this output
    (Get-SPSecurityTokenServiceConfig).LocalLoginProvider.SigningCertificate
    [/code]
    ## Establish the server to server trust
    [code lang="ps"]
    if(-not (Get-PSSnapin "Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue)){Add-PSSnapin "Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell"}
    Import-Module MSOnline
    Import-Module MSOnlineExtended
    # set the cerficates paths and password
    $PfxCertPath = "c:\[certificate name].pfx"
    $PfxCertPassword = "[password]"
    $X64CertPath = "c:\[certificate name].cer"
    # set the onpremise domain that you added to Office 365

    Hi  Janik,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display hybrid search results in SharePoint Server 2013.
For achieving your demand, please have a look at the article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn197173(v=office.15).aspx
If you are using single sign-on (SSO) authentication, it is important to test hybrid Search functionality by using federated user accounts. Native Office 365 user accounts and Active Directory Domain Services
(AD DS) accounts that are not federated are not recognized by both directory services. Therefore, they cannot authenticate using SSO, and cannot be granted permissions to resources in both deployments. For more information, see Accounts
needed for hybrid configuration and testing.
    Best Regards,
