Cannot see Database Views for a new Datasource

I need to bind some text fields to a Oracle Database View (not a Database Table, I can see them fine).
If I drill down into the Oracle Datasource, I don't see any of the required views.
Although the schema I am using do not own these views, I have a public synonym set up for the view. The schema I am using do have access to SELECT on the view.
Do anyone know if Creator will recognize these Oracle synonyms for the view? Or even better, does creator recognzie tables through Database Links?

I'm using the jt400 driver w/ an AS400 DBI'm guessing that's the issue.
try this:
select your data source and right-click "view data".
Enter the special undocumented query
getmetadataand run.
This show the schema/table/view/etc metatdata returned by the db/driver.
Check the output section for getTables(null, null, "%", new String[] {"VIEW"}
Any rows?
If not, try another driver.
If there are VIEW rows, then it's a Creator bug - those bastards! :)

Cannot see context menu for XML messages with Safari and Google Chrome

Hi All,
I am unable to see Context menu with the option of Create, Edit, Delete etc. for KM messages. This problem persists with Safari, Chrome and IE9 browsers. This thing works fine on IE7 and IE8 browesrs.
On clicking History and Options buttondoesn't perform any action i.e. we cannot see the list of options when clicking on those. This problem also persists with the above mentioned browsers.
Also, with IE9 , I am unable to create New message when clicking on New button. The XML form doesnt open on the button click.
The portal version I am using is EP 7.0.
Can someone help me out with this?

Cannot see Time Capsule for backup but internet perfect A

I've seen other posts about time capsule problems and most talk about wireless dropout and loss of internet connectivity. My situation is almost the reverse:
Full airport strength in menu bar. Full access to internet sites on at least one computer. Cannot see Time Capsule via Airport Utility or in Finder on any computer. Time Machine backups fail (marked as Delayed in menu bar item).
If I reboot (via unplugging) the Time Capsule, it shows up again in Airport Utility and backups are successful. This has happened three times now. I think the first time was prior to upgrading the firmware. The second two times were after the Time Capsule firmware upgrade. In the second two instances, it looks like the backups run for about 12-13 hours, every hour. No problems. Then, they drop out. Yesterday, it ran from 8:30 AM until 9 PM.
I've got two Macs (a Powerbook G4 and a MacBook Pro), each running latest software updates (security, 10.5.2, etc.).
Unplugging (rebooting) my Time Capsule each day is not an option. That's partly why I moved from an ancient LinkSys router that always needed to be rebooted since we lost local and internet access. Any help is much appreciated!

Have you set up the TC with user accounts??
Most people just use the TC password..
I have done very little with user accounts on the TC.. it seems fundamentally wrong headed to me.. If you have a domain controller with everyone using accounts to login that is fine.. and the TC would then exist in connection to the domain controller.. but it is a home device and there is no function to all that.
What will happen if you change over to standard security or even turn on the guest account I am too scared to suggest as you may not easily get connection back again.. The TC certainly displays a warning going to accounts.. I am not sure of warnings going away from accounts.
If you didn't setup the TC, do you have admin access to it??
Perhaps I am assuming too much before you tell me everything. But I may suggest things you don't want to try.. unfortunately I cannot say this will work.. the issue is widespread across the Mountain Lion TC combo and I have yet to see Apple suggest a solution or even fess up there is a problem. Daily reboots are just simply now a part of the scene for all windows and Mac users.
Is the TC the main router for the network.. 1 hour is not default lease in the TC and very few people even know how to change it.. standard is 1day. I would consider 1hr adequately short for all arp tables to be kept up to date.. the computer should be seeking new lease at 30min.. ie half lease time.
If the TC is bridged an not controlling the network.. that can contribute to the issue.
Setting a static IP on the TC if it is bridged my help.

Suppose we have two tables one with one field and another with two fields:
TAB1 - Key field KEY1
TAB2 - Key fields KEY1 & Key 2.
No if we create a Database view of these two tables we can do by joining these two tables on Key field KEY1.
Now if in View tab we have inculded TAB1- Key1.
Now lets suppose following four entries are in table TAB1: (AAA), (BBB), (CCC).
and following entries are in table TAB2: (AAA, 1), (AAA, 2), (BBB, 3), (BBB, 5), (DDD, 3).
The data base view will show following entries:
AAA,
AAA,
BBB,
BBB,
Now these entris are duplicate in the output.
This is because TAB2 has multilple entries for same key value of TAB1.
Now if we want to remove multiple entries from ouput - we need to include an entry in selection conditions like TAB2-KEY2 = '1'.

i have try to use the method in configuring Weblogic Portal for Oracle Database.
I have made all with no problems
but when i stop and i start the weblogic portal i have this error
java.lang.IllegalAccessError: Exception[com.bea.p13n.security.realm.RDBMSException
: An error occured creating a database connection for the realm.]
Any one have a solution? Thx!

This usually is due to a DB configuration issue. Check your RDBMS realm
username, password and driver properties. Check your database is running and
have enough Connection free.

Cannot See Database Tables in BI Discoverer Admin

Hello All -
My organization recently upgraded to Discoverer 10g from Discoverer 4i. In 10g the EUL is called BIEUL and in 4i it was called V9EUL. During the upgrade, all the Business Areas belonging to V9EUL in 4i were assigned to BIEUL in 10g. I'm not sure how our DBA accomplished this part of the upgrade.
When I'm logged into BI Discoverer Admin (version 10.1.2.00.00) I am unable to see the database tables in order to create folders from them. For instance, today I want to create a brand new Business Area so I click on File...New to start the Load Wizard then I click on "Create a new business area" then I specify to load the meta-data from the on-line dictionary and click the "Next"button. In the next window (Load Wizard: Step 2) I can see all the available users as I expect so I check the user I want and click 'Next".
Here's the point where the problem arises. In the window "Load Wizard: Step 3" I see the user I chose in the "Available" list on the left, but when I click on + to see the tables owned by the user it does not expand and I cannot go any further.
I experienced the same thing when I try to add a "New Folder from Database" to an already-existing Business Area.

At first it sounds like it's a simple matter as the EUL owner not having the rights to see the tables / views pointed to by the EUL (grants).
However, the part about the DBA where you say all BAs belonging to V9EUL in 4i wre assigned to BIEUL in 10g, I hope the DBA didn't do anything fancy. All the EUL manager should have to do is fire up the new version of Disco Admin 10g and it will see that the existing EUL is a version 4 one and will ask if you want to upgrade. Saying yes, you will get an entirely new EUL, tables, etc. created pointing to the same database tables / views as your still existing v4 EUL is.
So you'll have 2 EULs - a v4 one and a v10 one as it's not a destructive upgrade.
Is it possible the DBA hacked something? - or just a grants problem to the new EUL owner?

My home screen is gigantic. As a result I cannot see the keypad for entering in my passcode. Somehow, everything on my home screen has expanded to gigantic size. I've tried to reset the phone by holding the home button and the on off button...

My home screen is gigantic… So much so that 1/200 of the normal screen display now fills up the entire screen. As a result, I cannot even see my keypad to enter in my passcode. I've tried a hard reset a few times (holding the home button and the on off button at the same time until the iPhone restarts). This has not resulted in any changes. Any ideas?

You dont need any coding to set the changed value back to the context attribute.
Since you have mapped the context attribute in the DisplayView and EditView to a context attribute of component controller. So after viewing the name in your DisplayView when you navigate to EditView onActionChange,you can change the value.When you cahnge the value and submit the new value that is entered is update across the component controller and DisplayView context.
To see this create a action onActionSubmit in EditView and navigate to the DisplayView, you will see the updated value.
In webdynpro framework when the value of a context attribute is changed, then the value gets updated across all views to which the context attribute is mapped.

I am having trouble with the handle bars for music fade in and fade out. It doesn't work. I also cannot see wave forms for music. Cannot select - it is grey. On a deadline and really having problems.

I am trying to finish a video and I want to fade the music in and out. I have read every tutorial I can get and the help info in iMovie. Nothing helsp. I cannot get it to fade by just sliding the handle bars. Other times, the music mutes completely when I try to add a fade. I try to view wave forms for music and it does not allow me to select . it remains grey. I am getting frustrated. I had no problem with 11 version. I now have 10.0.2 version. Can anyone help? my computer is latest Mac Book Pro 2013

A tip though - if you have a transition at the start or end of a clip it often obscures the fade handle. Trick is to temporarly move the transition (or delete it), move the fade handle then replace the transition.

Cannot install the software for my new printer

I just purchased this printer yesterday and have been working all this time trying to get the software installed. I've used the CD that comes with the printer. I've used the online software and used the assistant to download and install. I've gone through many of the forums here and troubleshooted with all I've seen. I keep getting the error message cannot install. I'm getting frustrated at something so simple in the past has become a chore. I have only used HP products for my scanners/printers and I'm afraid my next step may be to pack this unit up and take it back to the store for a different brand. Please help.

Cannot see correct partition for Vista

Trying to install Vista Ultimate 64 bit on a mac pro (2008) on it's own hard drive. Questions- when I installed the new drive the machine doesn't recognize it and asks me if I wanted to initialize this. Rightly or wrongly I skipped this, went to boot camp assistant, selected the newly installed hard drive and indicated that I want to create a single partition for windows, then it asked me for the windows OS,I started the install. When it came to the point where I needed to select the correct partition for windows, the correct selection according the instructions disk0partition3 bootcamp didn't show up as an option and I cancelled the install. Where did I go wrong?

I recommend that you view the files on your windows 8 system to verify that they are good. That will atleast stop the sweating.
A few things could be wrong with the vista system.
1) The correct fonts may not be installed or are corrupted
2) The video card driver needs updating
3) The preference file for illustrator is corrupted try restarting illustrator while holding down ctrl-alt-shift or command-option-shift (former=windows latter=mac)
4) Illustrator needs updating
5) Time to upgrade from Vista (If your system can support it, it may be wise to do so anyway, since MS is not supporting it either)

Cannot see painting cursor for Brush tip in Bridge CC

The adjustment brush works fine in Bridge but I would like to see the painting cursor. Right now I see the cursor arrow.

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to try to help out. It
is much appreciated.
The two things that first come to mind are: I have many friends in the
industry who paint solely in Photoshop and do just fine. My computer is
technically "old," but the specs are still just fine—even the graphics card
is the exact same one that is in the new Cintiq Companions (the all-in-one
computer/cintiq machines).
And, more so, I was painting on it for a few weeks without noticing
anything. A part of me wonders, did I just not notice it until it became
dramatically worse?
I do remember painting fur, which requires making tons of small brush
strokes over an extended period of time, and I don't remember there being
any lag.
By the way, I forgot to mention: I've even tried going into the Performance
preferences and disabling the graphics card altogether. No luck. Still an
issue.
As far as painting at 100%: I do notice an amount of improvement. The one
brush stamp, or space, whatever you call it, issue only happened on the
first brush stroke (every time) and then just once otherwise. The lag was
tremendous—and I compared it to Painter's performance, which had no issues
whatsoever.
I am really hoping to be able to rely on Photoshop more and more, as its
tools for other aspects of image manipulation are far more robust than
Painter's. And the working compatibility with Adobe InDesign, Flash, and
Adobe Media Encoder are sooooooo useful for speeding up the workflow.
Hopefully we can find out what's going wrong.
I'm truly baffled on this one.

Cannot see Design View

After using Dreamweaver CS for years, I suddenly am unable to view some of my documents in Design View. All I see is an included header and footer, but none of the content that lies in between. However, I do see the content in Code View and Live View. This is not true for all pages, but I can't find a pattern as to why some show properly and others don't. Any ideas?

Bad code is bad code. If you look through the validation results, the items to red-flag are those that refer to missing or extra tags. When the row/column count for a row is not consistent with the table's overall structure, DW throws up its hands and just doesn't render it. Browsers will do that too.
I'm completely confident this has nothing to do with the use of templates. And excuse me but SEVEN TEMPLATES? Egad....
