Cannot see users on other nodes

Calendar users cannot see the users on other nodes.What should I do?

You may not have configured your node-to-node connections. Use
Connect Nodes or uninode -edit. Your fully qualified domain name for
your network exceeds 16 characters. Shorten your domain name or setup
a shorter alias.
<P>
Follow these instructions after you have shortened the domain name or
created a shorter alias. These instructions are also available in the
Release Notes. If the fully qualified domain name for your network
exceeds 16 characters, it will be necessary to shorten the host name
of all the servers in the Calendar Server.network . These instructions
must be carefully followed to avoid causing problems with the network.
Ensure that the procedure is applied to ALL nodes in the Calendar
network.
1) The following procedure should be carried out on each server in
the Calendar network:
a) Bring the Calendar services down.
% unistop -y
b) Run the unidbfix command in export mode.
% unidbfix -export -n node-id
This will create a remotenode.ini file for each node on the server.
The file is located in the node's perm directory.
Example:
If you have two nodes on the server ROCK, node 1(in N1) and node
(in N2), the files are:
/users/unison/db/nodes/N1/perm/remotenode.ini
/users/unison/db/nodes/N2/perm/remotenode.ini
The remotenode.ini file will look something like this:

2) Once you have run unidbfix in export mode on all the servers,
proceed as follows:
a) Compare the remotenode.ini files and verify that the
     entries are the same. In each file, you will note that
     an entry for the local node is not included.
b) Edit one of the files (on any of the servers). This file
     will be referred to as the master file. Add the appropriate
     entries for the local node (copy the section from one of
     the other files). Modify the RN_HOSTNAME in each of
     the sections of the master file to shorten the name.
c) Copy the master file in the perm directories of each node
     on all the servers.
3) Once the master file is in the perm directory of all the nodes,
proceed as follows on each server:
a) Run the unidbfix command in the -import mode.
% unidbfix -import -n node-id
b) Edit the nodes.ini file on the hub server and make the
     same changes to the host names. You do not need to apply
     the changes.
c) Edit the [UTL] section of the /users/unison/misc/unison.ini
     file and change the host name.
d) Start up the services.
% unistart

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check the permissions for all sites on the about:permissions page, via the location bar
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images permissions.default.images

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

    I added the user he has access but Cannot see user under Site Actions>Site Settings>Site Permissions. It shows on Site Users Web Part but not under site or library permissions.

    Have you added the user to any SharePoint Group? This can be the possibility. Check in "People and Groups" link in Site Settings.Verify each group.
    The group might be available in library permissions and hence the user can access the library.

  • Cannot see Users folder in Final Cut Pro 10.1.1 (after OS 10.9.3 update)

    I have been working just fine with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1, on an hour long project with still and video content.
    Yesterday, I received a new OS update to 10.9.3 and afterward, when I went to import some content into my project, FCP does not see the User folder. So I cannot find my documents, still photos, etc. or the motion project I had just completed to add credits to my movie.
    My workaround was to copy the .MOV file from the Motion project to an external drive, where FCP can see anything I put in there... but it's very frustrating not to be able to import directly from my User drive, and have to copy everything to an external drive first.
    Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?
    To be clear: When I click "Import Media" in FCP and select my main drive, I see only the following folders:
    Applications
    A folder with a bunch of numbers (not the User folder inside)
    Library
    Lost + Found
    statistic log (dimmed)
    System
    There used to be a "Users" folder, in which I could find my Documents, Photos, Movile

    Open the AppleScript Editor in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run:
    do shell script "chflags nohidden /Users/" with administrator privileges
    You may then need to relaunch the Finder.

  • Cannot see users with server 10.7.3 update

    I updated to 10.7.3 and when I launch the server app I see only the administrator user in the users pane (all other users do not show up). Further, the knobs for + and - are grayed (disabled). I still can log in with any network user, though. How can I restore seeing all users in the users pane, and being able to add delete users again? I think this is an interface problem..

    all was working great before the 10.7.3 update. I think it might be because of my original @mac.com address is screwing things up! thanks for your help

  • Help! Cannot see User Data...

    I have been using Palm Desktop 4.2 for some time on my notebook (Windows XP SP3) for contacts/address book, calendar and memos but a couple of days ago Desktop doesn't see the data anymore. The files are still there in the user name folder and I can see part of the data if I import the files one by one but I guess there is a simple method for re-connecting the Desktop application with the user folder. I've looked through the Knowledge Base and the forum but couldn't find a query that matched this exactly.

  • How to Restrict same portal user from other node

    Hi
    In my application, we charge customers for each portal user logins. But, i found that, they can share same user logins amongs number of people.
    I don't want to allow the same portal user login into the application if that user is already logged in and it's session is still active.
    Here is the Scenario :
    User A is logged in to the portal from terminal AA. Now, User A agin tries to logg in to the portal from terminal BB. I don't wnat to allow user A to log in from terminal BB bcuz user A has active session from terminal AA.
    Can anyone know how to implement this??

    Hi Srini!
    We have solved this problem with our own login portlet. Before the final login we've got to check (from the certain table) how many logins there are currently with that username.
    But there is a problem. If the user closes the browser without logoff, the session remains active. There is a cleanup job, which removes those session in some hours. Still it is not very elegant.

  • I have a application installed in my apps folder but others users cannot see them

    I installed an app on my imac using OSX Lion. The app is in the application folder of the admin account. The other standard users cannot see the app. Is there a way that they can use the app and see it in the application folder when they log in?

    Then move it into their application folders as well.

  • Other Mac users cannot see my shared public folder

    Other users on my network cannot see my Public shared folder. I can see their public folders no problem. I can connect to my computer from another Mac and "connect as" myself and see folders.
    I have File Sharing turned on. Permissions look copacetic. It says I'm the owner of the shared folder.
    IT's has a profile on this same machine – its Public folder shows up for other users. When I set up a new account profile, its shared folder shows up no problem.
    It may, just may, have to do with me changing my short login name after migrating to this machine. Problem is, I have no idea how to confirm that. Finder shows proper ownership and permissions in the info windows. I think there's something deeper down in the account system level that is wrong, but I don't know where to look.

    If you have admin rights, you can create a new account in System Preferences and see if that shared folder shows up on the network. If it does, then it could be related to changing short name (which I have heard you aren't suppose to do). If not, it may be something in the system. Give that a try and post back what happens.

    I have IAS10g running on linux Redhat 3.0. I have created a page/page group added some potlets( generated dynamically from PL/SQL procedures) to the page. I am able to see the page and portlets on this page when logged in a Portal but when I am logged in as any other user I cannot see any portlets.
    I am new to the Portal and I would appreciate any feedback on this subject.

    make sure that the Access priviliges of other users are granted under the Access tabs of respective pages and each of their portlets.
    for this, go to the access tab in each portlet, page, lov and content folder and check the users listed with viewing/ editing/ managing priviliges.
    that is the first thing to check on the portal access problems.

    In AAS, under HBR node, right click Administration and refresh user list.
    You could also try to refresh the security from shared services.

    We have a problem with a user, who cannot see the signs on the amounts in an ALV report:

    The user has tested this report with his user, and another test user, on his computer and on another computer. It does not change anything, he cannot see the signs "-" on the amounts.
    But when I launch the same report on the same client, I cann see the signs:

    So, I think it does not come from his user (he has tested with two different users), or from his computer (he has tested on two different computers).

    Having seen and "played" with an NB100-12a the other day I must agree that the grey letters on black keys
    aren't a clever idea - its bad enough that the keys are so small also.
    I currently own a satellite Pro with which I am very happy ( apart from the inclusion of Windows Vista which I
    don't particularily like ) and found this machine easy to "drive" BUT due to the keyboard size and lettering
    I won't be buying one ( unless they do a redesign - an acer aspire one keyboard and touchpad or NC10 style
    design ) and I think that the price of these machines has recently dropped from approx £300 to approx £270
    due to poor take up by the public mainly for the above reasons.
    Sorry Toshiba looks like i'll be buying an NC10 - unless I hear of a possible redesign.#

  • Cannot see System DSN ODBC Data source (however user DSN is Ok)

    We have installed BO 6.5.1 on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit and set up ODBC Data source to the existing SQL server.
    When we try to set the BO up (Administration>Safe recovery etc.), in the "Database middleware selection" - "Define new connection" - "Data source name" we cannot see the System DSN name that we've created in the Window's "ODBC data source administration" control panel applet. If we create a User DSN, we can see it ok but it works for one user only (as it should).
    So, in a nutshell, if we setup a User DSN it works fine but if we setup a system-wide System DSN BO cannot see it. I've got no idea why...
    Can anyone point me to the right direction, please?

    Are you using the ODBC Administrator from control panel?  If so, try launching this instead:  odbcad32.exe from start/run.
    This is the 32-bit ODBC administrator and since we are a 32-bit application, a 32-bit DSN will need to be configured.

  • Users not able to see remote users on the node network

    Users that belong to one node are not able to see users in another calendar
    server node. Both calendar servers are pointing to the same directory server.
    Some errors that occur in the log files:
    DEXOTEK ERRCODE Ox13608 -> SchedBaseOpen: Section name too long
    DEXOTEK ERRCODE Ox13608 -> OpenConnection: SchedBaseOpenOnHost
    And when uninode -cws nodeID is run, it does not report being able to see all
    the users and resources on the remote nodes.
    uninode: connected to hostname.net.xxx.com, node 10000
    directory of items: 10 (USERS = 10/RESOURCES = 0)
    CONNECTION EX AV Q-SIZE IN-PROCESS IMPORT-DIR

    Here is the nodes.ini file:

    There is a reported bug, that 16 chars is max on domain names for the nodes.ini
    file, which means that you need to change that file and use:
         a) an alias that can be resolved on the network with either DNS or local
         host files
         b) use the IP address.
    As documented in the release notes, here is the procedure on how to modify the
    hostname when it is too long. Or how to modify the hostname for any reason.
    Fix for long host names problem
    If the fully qualified domain name for your network exceeds 16 characters, it
    will be necessary to shorten the host name of all the servers in the Calendar
    Server network . These instructions must be carefully followed to avoid causing

  • After upgrading to Yosemite I cannot see my other iMac at home (note I am at work) in the Finder window shared devices.  Note my iMac at home is connected to an airport extreme (as is my work iMac) and I can see both airport extreme.

    Aftger I upgraded to Yosemite I cannot see my iMac at home from my work (i.e in Finder window under shared devices).  Note both my work and home iMac are connected to time capsules and I can see both of those time capsules but I cannot see either iMac from the other location.  My guess is that the time capsule is blocking the connection to the iMac.  One last comment occasionally (5% of the time) my iMac does magically appear in the shared Finder window but this is extremely rare.  Any help????

    Just discovered this one myself.  OK, this may sound silly but place your cursor next to the word "Shared" on the finder sidebar.  The "hidden" command "Show" will magically appear.  Clicking that will display your other network attached devices.
    This appears to be a new "feature" that some freaking genius thought was some how "Cool".   My only assumption is that Apple programers expect users to randomly move their cursor around the screen in hopes of finding some critical function like looking for an easter egg in their favorite game.
