Cannot see Xanté 8300 Postscript 2 Printer

Just upgraded to Snow Leopard from 10.5.8. Now I cannot "see" my Xante 8300 printer. I downloaded and ran the most recent Xante Driver installer, but still does not show up. I am connected via ethernet and this is a B&W Level2 Postscript printer - it is a few years old, but several thousand dollars and has very few prints on it - is there no hope?

I was able to configure a printer category (using OTHER...) to see the Xante PPD with all its options, but I did it wrong I am sure. What I set-up now "sees" the PPD, but not the printer on the network itself?
This is the message I get when I try to print something from this config: "Network host '' is busy; will retry in 25 seconds..." - then it just keeps searching for the printer - of course, I never told it where to find the printer since I cannot figure out how to do that?
Any help greatly appreciated.

SRM front end user cannot see buyer information in PO Print Preview

Hello,
In our SRM system, our purchasing users are not able to see the 'BUYER' information in the Print Preview screen within a PO.
Previously, users with a requistioner role were running into the same issue, but this was resolved by added the following authorizations:
S_USER_GRP ACTVT = 03 CLASS = *
The purchasing users currently have access to the authorizations above, but are still not able to see the BUYER information in Print Preview.
Any information is greatly appreciated.

As the preview is showing info then print should be coming in same way. Try check in print properties or with other printer. In the same time try on a trace (ST01) while user is printing the PO. See if any relevant missing authorization is there or not.

Running 10.8.4 on a MacBook ... cannot see my Xerox ColorQube 8570 printer when I push . Driver is installed.

Please help me add my Xerox Color Qube 8570 printer. it is available by Wifi in my office and one computer already runs it well, but mine does not see it when I try to add it (push +).

What OS are you using? Your profile shows 8.6.
If you have the printers IP address open Terminal applications/Utilities and at the prompt type: ping {printerIP}. You will get a reply or failure.

Trying to see sd card reader in epson printer when using bootcamp on my macbook air. This has always been ok on my windows laptop. I want to download photos from a sd card in the printer.

Is the printer properly installed in Windows 8? And how is it connected to the Mac Air, by USB port?

Cannot see total album when creating print book

Sheesh. I am going along just fine trying to make a 20 page hard cover book and
port it out and order it, so I can take it to the National Press Photographers Association
Northern Short Course in Rochester NY this March. I am doing fine shaping the book, but
I CANNOT drag the photos, nor does the photo album line show, more than one line of 8-10
photos. When I click on the album, they are all there. I tried rearranging them so the ones I want would be first, but no go. It is stuck on its little view of the first 8 to 10 I uploaded. ???????

I'm not sure I understand your issue
Try the following steps - make an album with the photos you want in the book and then select all the photos in that album and click on the Book icon in the bottom toolbar
THis shoud created a book project with all photos from the album in a line across the top

Cashier cannot see the some documents for cheque printing

Some Payment proposals have been made but the Cashier cannot see the documents for cheque printing. They are showing complete when you check with T.code SWIA.
What could be the reason?

Cannot see my imac to a shared printer for PC

I have a problem with my Imac networking it to a shared printer that is mac compatible. I have an okiB4350 model and have this networked through a router and a printer server. I have a D-Link router. I have 4 other PC computers that is able to see this printer through the router by the PC IP Address I have assigned to it. However, with my Imac, I cannot seem to get through the printer. I was able, at one point, go through the set up on the imac and typed the PC IP Address to where the imac sees it. However, when I have the imac print stuff, all it prints are garbage. My print server also has an IP for mac which I tried using as I input it on the set up screen of my imac. However, it does not see it. The imac does see the printer and assigns it as a postcript printer but when it prints, all it prints are garbage. Someone please help me connect this imac to my existing shared printer so that I can fully maximize the use on this imac.

Postscript is apparently an option for the B4350 - does yours have this capability built in? From your description of symptoms it does not - the garbage you see printed out is raw Postscript code, and that wouldn't happen if the printer was actually able to interpret that code.
Try setting up this printer using the "LaserJet 6 series Gimp-Print" driver built into MacOS 10.4.

I cannot see the print button on the bottom tab in order to print a document even when I hide to tool bar.

I recently changed my computer software from Vista to Window & Ultimate. Since changing, I cannot see the print button which should be at the bottom. I have tried to hide the bottom toolbar but it still does not allow me to see the print button. Please give me directions in easy to read English.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible:
*"View > Toolbars"
Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:
*View > Toolbars > Customize
*Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

Did you import the old iPhoto library into the new one? That's not what you want to do because you will import all of the original, modified and thumbnail files as if they were original files. Lots of duplicates and useless small photos.
Do you have a backup copy of the library that you imported into to? If you do then bring it in and then use iPhoto Library Manager to merge the two libraries into a new, 3rd library.
If you don't then you'll have to try to fix the current one and then cull out the duplicates and small useless photos as follows: make a temporary, duplicate copy of your library and apply the three fixes in order as necessary.
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your HD/User/Home()/ Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your HD/User/Home()/Library /Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If this doesn't fix the problem you'll have to start over from scratch and create a new library from the files inside the Originals folder of your current library. But first you should cull out the small photos that would be the thumbnails from the 2001 library.
Move the Originals folder to the Desktop, open and do a search for Kind=photo, File size is less than 10 KB. That should find all of the thumbnail files which you can then drag to the Trash. You might have to make that less than 50 KB. Then Import the remaining photos into a new iPhoto library.

I cannot see as installed the Acrobat Distriller Printer? (Acrobat X)

In my list of printers, I cannot see the Adobe Acrobat X distriller printer as installed in my computer.
I have Adobe Acrobat Distriller X installed in my computer along with Adobe Acrobat X... however, when I go to control panel, and I select printers... I cannot see the Adobe PDF printer there.
I think the cause of this is that I installed a program called NITROPDF, and this program, managed to remove the Adobe Acrobat Distriller X printer, to install its own printer.
Now, in my list of printers, I can see the NITRO PDF Creator (which is the printer to print documents as PDF, that offers NitroPDF).
However, I cannot see in my list of printers the Adobe Acrobat Distriller X printer.
How may I do this printer be installed and available in my list of printers?

HP2610 cannot print -network - wired - cannot see printer - Win7 64bit

In the solution center I get message that the system cannot see my HP Photosmart 2610.
I can however ping the printer with no issues. I can also print if I use the USB connection.
This has worked for a couple years without issue, this problem suddenly appeared.
I have reconnected via usb and updated all drivers and updates.Restarted printer and computer,
Ran hp diagnostics, cant find the printer
If I try to print to the printer, it sends the print job, but queue shows printer error, and just prints blank pages. (tries to print and fails) will keep doing this until it runs out of paper.
I reconfigured the network settings, verified I can ping and print directly - still cant print over the network

You tried most of the steps that I would advise;
I will perhaps disable all security applications including WIN Firewall and try it again. uninstall the printer, Do this in safe mode and them install in safe mode.
I am almost certian you went thru this process but do this in the order to see if helps it worth a try; Click here

HP 8625, cannot see Print Preview or Select Pages

On my new HP 8625, I cannot see the Print Preview feature nor can I select to print specific pages. This used to work on my HP c309, so I'm thinking perhaps it's a printer driver issue. I am specificially having this issue with Excel but it may be occuring in other programs as well.
Any suggestions?

I would first suggest checking to see if you have Print Preview and the option to print specific pages from other programs, besides Excel as this will show us if the problem is solely within MS Excel, or all programs, which could be a driver issue.
Skipping forward a little bit and assuming the issue is in all programs, you could try Uninstalling the Printer Software, restarting the computer and reinstalling the printer, here: HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers.
Please let me know which operating system you're running on your computer and the results from testing the other programs on your computer. The more detail you include, the better!

Adobe cannot see my printer....

Hello. this is my first question on this site as previously, I've never had any problems with Adobe!
My issue is that I have installed a new printer and now Adobe cannot see this printer.
I have Windows 7 and my previous printer was an HP which I could use both hard wired and wirelessly to print pdf's. The reason I have changed my printer is that my old printer did not have the ability to be plugged straight into my router but had to be plugged into an old tower pc that I had in order for me to use it wirelessly!
So, today, I plugged my new Brother MFC-5890CN straight into the router, found it on my laptop and voila everything was perfect. I printed a few word documents and also some stuff from the net but when I went to print a pdf - nothing.
Things I have tried, with a restart in between.
Deleting my printer and re-installing.
Deleting my printer and re-installing with software obtained from Brother website.
Deleting Adobe Reader and re-installing. (Which gave me a more recent version)
Plugging the Brother printer into my laptop with a USB cable
The weird thing is that my husband can print pdf's from his laptop when he connects wirelessly to the Brother printer?
So its obviously some issue with my laptop and Adobe...
I feel like I need to be able to get Adobe to reset its printer list. For some reason, although I have deleted my old printer from my machine, that is the printer that comes up as the printer that Adobe wants to use?
I cannot set my printer as Default either but that is a long standing issue as I couldn't do that with my old printer. It comes up with error message 0x00000709.
Please does anyone have any help for me????
