Cannot use "Edit Mode" property to dynamically open a VI in "run mode"

Hello,
I am trying to dynamically open a vi, and would like it to open up in run mode when dynamically called. I am trying to use the "Edit Mode" property to do so by setting it to false before the vi is actually opened by the Open method. However, it always seems to open up in edit mode. Am I doing something obviously wrong here? I am enclosing a screengrab of the vi.

You should use the method Run VI, if you want the VI in the 'Run Mode' without actually running (like ctrl-m), I have no idea how to do that.

Since I purchased iphoto '11, I cannot use edit.

I have a "09 MacBook. After upgrading to osx Mountain lion and adding more memory, I upgraded to iphoto '11. Now I cannot use edit because it tries to download the photo again rather than edit mode. Is this common and if so how do I fix it?

Thank you for upgrading to Mountain Lion and iPhoto '11! It sounds like you are trying to edit the photo in the Photo Stream section of iPhoto. You will need to import the photo before you can edit it. If you have already imported it, access the photo in the Events or Photos section on the left to edit it. When you have Photo Stream selected on the left, you are seeing photos on iCloud. The following article has additional information about this:

1. You have allowed Apple to auto-upgrade your Mac
Turn off auto-update here:
Menu > Apple > System Preferences > App Store
2. The Icons on your dock are Aliases not real apps
They point to where the apps really are which is:
For Pages 5.2.2 in your Applications folder
For Pages '09 in your Applications/iWork folder
3. You are alternately opening documents randomly with either version of Pages
Both Pages have the same file extension .pages and there is no certainty as to which version opens them when you double click on a file.
right click on the file and choose which version you want to open it
4. Pages '09 can not open Pages 5 files
Pages 5 can not open Pages '08 files, and will convert and change Pages '09 and Word files.
It will also auto save opened files into its own format.
You can export these back to Pages '09 if you need to:
Menu > File > Export > Pages '09
5. Yes Pages 5.2.2 is a marked downgrade
Pages 5.2.2 has a few improvements but has had over 110 features removed and is buggy.
Sooner or later you will not be able to open a file or have it damaged in some way and it has a complex obscure file format largely incompatible with everything else, so you will not be able to rescue the contents of your file. If Pages or some third party server/eMail don't trash your file, eventually Apple will do it for you as it did when it released Pages 5 last September. I recommend using Pages '09 for the time being whilst you look for viable alternatives, some are here already and some are on the way.

Labview opens all VIS in Run mode

LV2013 PDS is opening all VIs in Run Mode. This is a global problem, not specific to one or a specific number of VIs.
If I create a new VI, save it, close it and re-open it, it's in Run Mode, not Edit mode. Nothing is set to Run When Opened, nothing is set to be locked without a password.
It's only on this installation; if I take my code to another machine, there's no issue.
I have deleted the labview.INI file, but the behavior repeats itself.
Any ideas?

Cannot use edit mode with zebra layout in alv

Hi,
I am using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' for the ALV genration,
I found that I cannot use
          it_layout-edit_mode = 'X'.
          it_layout-zebra = 'X'.
simultaneously..
Only zebra layout come up and not the edit mode...
Is there a wrk around to solve this

try removing
it_layout-edit_mode = 'X'.
from ur code..
and add
is_fieldcat-edit = 'X'   " for all columns...

I can go to Time Machine and find the document, even read it in Time Machine, but when I try to restore this version I get the same crash. I cannot open with Text or RTF. Preview opens a fuzzy version and can save out as a .PDF, but when I try to convert the .PDF to Word I get a bunch of unusual characters. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated

OK, I've tried all these tips. Here's what I finally have to do: I open Time Machine. I click on the Pages file and open the Pages file in the Time Machine window. (Restore does not work; nothing works).
When the Pages file opens, I begin taking screenshots using shift-command-3. I take shots of all 200+ pages of this document. The screenshots are saved to my desktop.
I then move all 200+ screenshots into one folder, because, face it, that's too many icons to work with on one desktop screen.
Then I select all the screenshots in the folder at once and open them all in Preview. Then I crop every screenshot using command-K, and save using command-S, and then close that image using command-W.
When I have cropped all 200+ screenshots, I go back through the folder one by one and adjust the color on each one, moving the mid-range color up to about 75% and the sharpness filter up to about 75%, in order to compensate for the fuzzy image of the screenshot. You can't create a searchable PDF with an image that fuzzy. I do this one by one.
I make sure everything is saved.
Then I open all 200+ edited screenshots in Preview and print them out.
Then I take the 200+ pages of this ****** Pages file and run them through my scanner, making searchable 600 dpi PDFs.
Then I go to each of the 200+ PDFs and highlight the text, copy, and paste into a NEW word processing document.
If I'd had 300 pages like the last manuscript, or 700 pages like the one before that, I would have created an Automator program to do all that, but hey, this is not the kind of **** you expect from Apple. Really. It's taken all week.
So thanks for your help guys, but no other suggestions worked. I tried to force a download of the file from Dropbox, but got the same result. Besides, my Dropbox folder is saved locally on my harddrive, so it's not their fault. In fact, there is no data in the Dropbox folder under this file name, only preview files. Somehow the Time Machine will open the complete Pages file while in Time Macine, but will not import the saved Time Machine version to the working desktop because it is a preview (i.e., not Preview) image. This is a Pages problem, not a Dropbox problem. Pages did not save the full file.
If anybody knows a better way to do this, I'd like to know about it. If anybody knows whether I will ever be able to trust Pages again, I'd like to know that too.

Editor opens but I cannot use it. How do I open the editor?

I have a Fuji X-M1. I trialled Photoshop Elements 13 for a few days and then bought a DVD and installed it recently. All has gone well until today when I got a message to download a Camera Raw Plug in-which I had done on the trial product. This time, with the full product installed from the DVD, I can open Organiser but when I try to edit, the edit panel opens but I cannot get the photo from Organiser into the Edit panel. If I press a key in edit I simply get a 'ding' sound. .I still have Photoshop 10 on the laptop. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. It shouldn't because I have only done on the same on the full product as the trial version, which worked fine. The problem seems to be the download. I restarted the laptop after the download. I want to be able to work on RAW versions of my photos.

Cannot use Premiere Pro CS6 - Crash on open

I got crash when any project open beforethe window of the project opens, also with new project. Premiere create the project and then when try to open the windows it crash. I got irreversible error. I have a new iMac 27 i7 with fusion drive. never used premiere on thi mac.

DLG::SequenceSettings::SequenceSettings had an error with a bad Bitmap pointer, then the error handling that followed obscured the details and crashed while trying to give you a chance to save the project.
I don't see an obvious cause from the user's perspective or a way for the user to avoid the primary error. This one will have to be solved by the Premiere engineers.
(though I'm getting the picture that the error handling in Premiere may be causing more problems than it solves)

I downloaded the most recent iTunes software (upgrading from version 10) and now I cannot use iTunes at all! Upon opening iTunes, it says that "an unknown error occurred (-45054)". If i click "ok" itunes immediately closes itself...what do I do??

Table Edit Position Property issue

I have Table, which holds and displays 2D string array. I want to save edited positons in an array. I am using "edit positon" property, however this property shows next "ready-to-edit" position. I am subtracting 1 from row and setting active cell and and I am changing BG color for example.
More precisely:
The table holds "0,000" strings as data in all cells. I am clicking row 8, col 0 and changing value to 1,000 and then pressing "Return" key. but Edit Position property shows me the next cell row 9, col 0, where the cursor currently is. I can subtract 1 from row to find the "last-edited" positon. But it gets confuses if I enter some value in the last row. If I give "1,000" in the last row, for example row 15, col 0, cursor jumps to row 0, col 1 as expected. But Edit positon shows row 0, col 1 instead of row 15, col 0.
How can I get "real" edited/changed position?

i thing i understood your task pretty well.
Your right, "edit position" gives you the position where your are currently editing a cell. As soon as you hit "retrun" or "tab" the new "edit position" is one row respectively one column further.
I used a event structure and the selection start property to find the "real" edited/changed position, as follows:

I have been trying all different ways to capture RTMP streams from my local FMS3.5 server but no luck... then I read this:
"For media loaded from RTMP sources, you cannot use the BitmapData.draw() and SoundMixer.computeSpectrum() methods to extract run-time graphics and sound data. "
is this still true? If so, is there any way around this?

Thanks i think I got it working of a fashion.
Except the replace colour, does not seem to end up with the colour I picked using the picker tool. Its as though it hads not replaced the colour but blended in the desired colour with the old incorrect colour!
Buy trial and error picking not the right colour but close - which when mixed with the existing colour is close.

The scenario is:- say a blonded mainly tanned model a high cut [at the hips] corsette style basque, with an ultra low bra line.
Our dear model, has just come back from St Barts with a fabulous Tan, and equally striking bold Tan lines!.
So we have great tanned legs, then the 'porcelain white band' where her swimsuit was.
Likewise we have a tanned face, and arms, shoulders etc and a great tan on the top of the cleavage, then it stops, white band to the top of the ultralow cut bra line of the basque.
She must have lived in like the most conservative bikini on the planet [50's style], for 2 weeks!

The blog was incorrect. Photomerge should work in the trial, too.
When things get weird in PSE the first thing to do is to delete the prefs. Go to the editor preferences>general, click this button and restart the editor:
