Capped-cpu Not Showing as Valid Resource

Hi,
I just did a recent install of S10U4. From looking at the docs, the resource capped-cpu is a valid resource.
However, when I try to add it or search for the capped-cpu, it is not available.
Here is a list of what resources are available:

Shows both dedicated-cpu and capped-cpu as options. Is this wrong? I am not seeing capped-cpu either. (10-8/07)Perhaps the documentation is ahead of the delivered feature.
I would suggest that dedicated-cpu + ncpus is probably a better alternative as it provides the ability to lock CPUs to a zone.
As I am reading it, capped-cpu just defines a granular maximum amount of global (or possibly pool) resources.

    I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3 and ADF BC/ADF Faces. I want to have a button on one of page and I want that whenever user clicks on this button a records is inserted in a table. so I created an application module service method and exposed it on the client interface and the put it on my page using Data Controls Tab.
    Here is some part of my code in application module :

    When this method tries to insert a record which violates a validation rule in the Base Entity Object, the screen does not show any error regarding to violating the business rule but nothing is inserted. I changed my code and captured the exception around the commit and I found that a JBO-27023 Exception happened after commit ( which was very surprise since the page does not show any error).
    Now I can change my code to to the following to show that error happened.

    catch (JboException ex) {
         getDBTransaction().rollback();
         throw new JboException ("There is an error during commit");
    throw ex;
    But I believe it shouldn't be like this. Normally, we should be able to insert programmatically in a view and if the business rules are violated we should get the violation error messages. If I use the above mentioned method we can not understand what business rules are violated.
    Does anybody know what is wrong with my solution? I have seen a lot of times that using application module is the best way for adding functionality to the application pages but I really feel that something should be wrong if we can not get business rule violation messages.
    Any help or references would be highly appreciated.

    it should work without try-catch.
    1. When you add try-catch, does your error message appear on the page?
    2. Does your page contains af:messages component?
    3. Does your button have any navigation to another page?

    i got the solution there was one attribute on workflow
    <Argument name='NoFetch' value='true'/>
    remove this to false it will fetch all the resource attributes

  • CPU not showing up in System Profiler

    Hi,
    I have a 4 year old Dual 2.5 GHz G5 which I think has had a CPU failure (B CPU). The system profiler states that I only have one, not two CPU's.
    Is it a case of using a repair CD to reset the lost CPU or is it dead?
    Any ideas anyone?

  • 0ORGUNIt time dependent hierarchy not showing all valid nodes in BO , but in BW its correctly shown

    We have 0ORGUNIT hierarchy shown in one of the Webi reports. 0ORGUNIT is time dependent hierarchy.
    In BW report we can see below nodes for hierarchy
    Hierarchy                     Valid From         Valid To
    Z05 Root Company        01.07.2013        31.12.9999 - Parent node
        Z05 Branch 2                 01.10.2013        31.12.9999 - Child Node
        Z05 Division                   09.12.2013        31.12.9999 - Child Node
    In BO webi we can see only two nodes

           Z05 Division                   09.12.2013        31.12.9999 - Child Node
    Any idea why in BO webi the other node is not shown ? This is happening only for time dependent hierarchy and only in BO not in BW.

    Hi Shraddha ,
    Check at webi query panel level any restrictions applied to hierarchy levels.
    Check at BEx query level,select 0ORGUNIT ,hierarchy -Expand to level .
    Here specify Max level.
    lastly, check any filters/restrictions applied on data.If yes,remove restrictions.

    Then I create a custom view in the resource assignments that has said field... 
    When on PWA the tile of my custom field displays fine, but there is not data...

    Maybe it is a silly question, but since you are usingProject Server,  why dont you simply use the native resource field? It will allow assigning enterprise resources with metadata and also timesheet and task update features.  Not doing this, you
    really cut yourself from the powerful features of Project Server.
    Then to answer your question, you have to ensure that the task field in question has values in the project and that the project has been correctly published.

  • Pro menu not showing, but valid registration key shows

    I have been using QuickTime Pro on this computer for over a year, but I haven't used it in a couple of months.
    As of yesterday and today, only Player menu items show. No Pro tools show. My first thought was that my registration key must've been somehow wiped or made invalid, but that isn't the case. The option to "Buy QuickTime Pro..." is grayed out, and the correct key is listed in the Preferences.
    This morning, I downloaded the QuickTime update, and the problem remains.
    Anyone know why this can happen and how to fix it?

  • Vista Business not showing as valid OS for ordering Windows 7

    Around July 6 there was at least one thread that mentioned when trying to order windows 7 upgrade for Pavilion Elite e9150t (product NY810AV) with Vista Business factory installed, the only current operating system in the dropdown is Vista Home Premium.  This upgrades to a lower level of Windows 7 than Vista Business.
    This was reported fixed at that time, but is apparently broken again.
    Is there any kind soul out there who can fix it again?  I called the customer support number and got the usual runaround.  (Updating now, try later.  When I didn't buy that, they they would escalate to HP and send me an email in 1 day - didn't happen).
    I am sure I am not the only one with this issue.

    An additional note - I did try the browser tool to identify my OS - said it couldn't find it and to call customer support.  Perhaps because it was Vista Business and not Vista Home Premium?  Thanks.

    I have a flour mill of having 4 processs (resources)
    1). Tempering (cleaning).
    2). Milling.
    3). Blending.
    4). Packing.
    I have two identical sales order. One has been through all the process (resources) and showed in the DS Planning board but, other one has not shown up there. It happens to me couple of times that such sales order do not show up at the resource level. Where should I check and correct? Aslo which way can I follow up these missing sales order? and What shoud I do if this situation happens?

    Since you asked the question, I can assume that you don't have an "S" number.  speak to the person in your company who administers your SAP Service Marketplace account (this is usually someone on your Basis team), who can obtain one for you.
    Or, you can try on your own.  A few stars have to be in alignment for the second method to work.

  • Linked Recon event does not show up in user's provisioned resources

    I am totally new at this Orcale OIM stuff and I have looked through this forum and have not found an answer. I have configured the connector and and (I think) successfully ran the EBS_TR_User task limiting it to one specific user. It runs and I do not see any errors. It did create an entry in the Recon Event Manager in the design console and the event indicates that the EBS user is "linked" to the expected OIM user. The recon event also shows the responsibility that is in EBS for the user. However, what I do not understand is that when I look at the user in OIM and select to display the resource profile for the user, the responsibility does not show in OIM.
    Why does it not show in OIM? Is there something I am missing to cause it not to appear? Or is there another step I need to complete to make it appear? Or does it just not ever appear? Does anyone know what to do after the EBS_TR_User scheduled task runs or where I can find information on this? Any insight or direction is greatly appreciated !!

    Well take care of Martin's Suggestion to first of all identify that its Trusted Source or Target Resource model of reconciliation you are running. This is how you can identify that:
    - Check it against the Connector Documentation Or
    - Go to the Resource Object against which you are running this reconciliation. Check the Trusted check box. If this is checked then you are running Trusted Mode and in this case you won't be able to see those Responsibilities in the Resource Profile of Users.
    Now if the above condition is not true and the mode is not Trusted then make sure you have the following rule condition defined.
    One Entity Match Found -> Establish Link
    One Process Match Found -> Establish Link *(For Later on identification of same Account)*

  • APS metrics page not showing all CPU's

    I have installed BO 4.0 SP02 patch 11. I have seperated the CR
    Scheduling service as a seperate job server form AJS.
    My CR jobs are running fine however, I have 8 CPU on that machine but
    in matrics page of Job server, it is showing
    only 4 CPU. Why it is not showing all the 8 CPU?
    does it mean that its limited to work for 4 CPU only.

    Would it be possible that you have in fact 4 CPUs which are all dual cores?
    So it's like you have 8 CPUs but in reality it's only 4 CPUs?

    In iTunes these should theoretically be available on the iTunes Store home page.
    On the right of that page under Quick Links find Purchased section (if available for your country) and then choose the TV Show category and choose to download there - it doesn't happen automatically.
    If not in US you won't be able to redownload movies (yet anyway).
    If a title is not available there are reasons for this but you'd expect it to be if you've only just bought it.
    Actually I prefer buying in iTunes - I bought some TV episodes on AppleTV but cannot complete my season in iTunes - maybe i can't for that show (support were useless) but I do wonder if it's because the purchase was made on ATV.

    I was polling my ASA on OP manager which was reside on INSIDE zone now we move OP manager on DMZ. Now ASA not showing ACTIVE CONNECTION and CPU Usage in OP manager.

    snmp-server community cisco
    and recieve a mention log on ASA during polling ASA on OP manager (NMS).

  • Resource ( Room ) not showing up under Scheduling Assistant as an Attendee ?

    Hope someone can guide me here with two wierd issues I'm having, maybe something I'm not getting it.
    Problem 1 :
    Client = Outlook 2010, Server = Exchange 2010
    A users (the organizer of a meeting) can see the resource she is booking as an attendee under her own scheduling assistant, but if you open the appointment in the calendar of the resource itself, and you check the Scheduling Assistant, the room
    ( itself ) does not show up as an attendee.
    However - if you book the appointment from the resource calendar - the resource shows up as an attendee for all those invited.
    Problem 2 : 
    Referring to Problem 1 - One of the attendees accepts the meeting request and the user sees the acceptance message arrive in her mailbox, however - when she checks the tracking status - it shows the response as "none" ?. The auto acceptance by the resource
    shows "Accepted" which is correct.
    Any help is appreciated.

    In Exchange 2010, you can use
    Get-CalendarProcessing –Identity <roommailbox> command to the status of the ‘AutoProcessing’ parameter. The default setting is AutoUpdate, whilst the other available option is None. The setting of AutoUpdate means that
    the Calendar Attendant is used on the resource mailbox, which itself means that new meeting requests will be marked as tentative on the resource mailbox calendar.
    To make the organizer get the notification of accept, you can use the following command to configure:
    Set-CalendarProcessing –Identity <roommailbox> –AutomateProcessing AutoAccept

    I made the validation for Mobile number filed in Account creation (BP). If the user should enter only Numeric values in the Mobile number field. If they enter Alpha numeric it should give an error message in WEBUI.
    For that i enhanced the component and made the required code, but in the webui screen its now its not showing the description of the error messaage, its showing message class and messge number only. Hope i made some mistake, any one please guide me.
