Captivate 6.0 - I want to make a rollover shape stay on screen if user wants it to

I have used smart shapes as rollover popups. However, I'd like to give the user the option to select a shape or more to stay on screen, by probably clicking on it. The purpose is to give user the ability to compare the content of selected smart shapes, thus viewing both or more on the screen at the same time.
Any ideas or does anyone know of any widget that could do this, please?

Instead of using a rollover you could try adding a button which, when clicked shows the text box. You set this up by inserting a button (you can make it transparent if necessary). Under Action in the properties panel choose On Success: Show and then select the appropriate text box.

No, they won't. Just create a second profile in iTunes for the iPad. You can then select only what you want synced to it completely separate from your iPod.

The user wants to toggle between seeing/not seeing the Results row at the bottom of each row. How to make it like a toggle checkbox/selection on the screen so that the user can decide on seeing/not seeing it in the report. If not possible to do such a thing, then how do I totally prevent it from showing in the report. Version is 3.5 BW.

For each characteristics in the query designer, right-click and go to properties....
then in the 'Display of Results' section in the 'Suppress Result Rows' option, select: "Always".
This will suppress the result rows.

Make click box feedback stay on screen

How do I make the feedback for a clickbox stay on screen till the learner moves on? I see where I can designate a specific number of seconds for it to stay on screen, but I just want it to stay on the screen indefinitely till the learner moves on...so, for the rest of the slide, basically.

In that case you will need to add either a Text Caption or a Smart Shape with the feedback text you want and configure it as hidden. Then create an Advanced Action that will make it visible.

How do I make a hover object stay on screen?

I have a CSS image gallery, and am struggling to finish it off (I originally intended to find a js example but couldn't find what I wanted despite extensive trawling).
Hovering over the thumbs brings up the large image as required, but I need the image to then stay on screen until the user hovers over another thumb. I'm pretty sure this is possible, but can't work out how to do it.

I want to make photoshop elements smaller on my screen

Everytime I use elements it "takes over the entire screen" on my macbook pro or i-mac. Is there a way like on my pc to shrink or minimize photoshop?? Any help would be great!!

Which version of photoshop elements do you have?
You should be able to hover your mouse over the lower right corner of the pse application until you
see a black double arrow and then drag the window smaller.
You can also move the pse window drag dragging on the top dark grey part just above where it says Quick, Guided and Expert.
If you want it full screen again, press the Green Maximize Button.

I want to control width on column in report screen - new user

I can't find a combination of settings that will allow me to set the width on a column for a screen so that the screen doesn't have to scroll away to the right. If I change the type to text area, I can set the width but it opens it up so that it doesn't look like a report. (It looks like the screen that I'm typing this into.) Plus it holds all the spaces so that the report is much larger than it needs to be.
The report screen is from a PL/SQL query - similar to
select * from "CHANGEMANAGEMENT" - with a join to another table with another large field.

I hope the following will make it a bit clearer:
When a report is being generated, a table is created (in HTML, this is a <TABLE></TABLE> tag) to hold the data. Within this, each record is added as a new row (a <TR></TR> tag) and within this each field is inserted as cell (a <TD></TD> tag) - the data itself is inserted between the <TD> tag and the corresponding </TD> closing tag.
When you apply styling using the CSS Style setting, it can not update the <TD> tag as this has already been created, so it wraps the column's value within a <SPAN></SPAN> tag applying your style setting to the SPAN tag (eg, <SPAN style="color:blue">xxxxx</SPAN> will turn the text blue). SPAN tags are normally used to apply font and colour styling to portions of text. Whilst you can add things such as width settings, SPAN tags are not "block" elements in HTML (ie, they are not rectangles on the page) but are "inline" elements (ie, they flow with the text they surround), so setting dimensions will not necessarily produce the result you expect. As an example, a TABLE is a block element because it has dimensions that you can define and is rectangular in shape but a <B>xxx</B> tag (to switch bold on/off) is an inline element because it affects the text display not its layout.
Within a table, a column is made up of a collection of <TD> cells. The maximum width of these cells determines the width of the column. You can override this by adding in a <COL> tag definition immediately after the <TABLE> definition. In our reports, we don't get this opportunity because the table, tr and td tags have already been created. As we can not add in a COL tag in the report table itself, the only way to fix the width of a column is to fix the width of the <TD> cells within that column and the only way to do this is to add in an HTML element that you can fix the width for. With the additional requirement of needing word-wrapping in the contents of the cell, you can only really use a <TD> cell and, therefore, you need to construct an entire table (albeit one that has only one row and one column) - hence my suggestion shown above.

Once I have drawn the shapes the 'intersecting shape area' etc option is greyed out, I can draw a new shape to do thins but how do I use 2 existing shapes. I know this should be easy I just can't work out how to do it.

I want to make a new shape form the overlapping parts of 2 existing shapes. So I draw a shape (shape 1), make a new layer and draw another shape (shape 2), and then later decide the overlapping parts need to be a new shape (shape 3). So I could duplicate shape 1 and then using the pen tool select 'Intersecting shape area' and try and draw the same shape 2 again but that seems to be a stupid way to do it, I'd like to know the process to make this new shape 3 from the existing shapes 1 & 2, there must be an intelligent way.

I've been unable to locate an app that will do this. The Photos app that comes with the phone or iPad has extremely limited duration controls. PhotoStream seems to load everything from my phone or iPad not allowing me to just load up a set group of images.
iPhoto for iPad is getting some terrible recent reviews. I tried a couple other free apps but they don't use Airplay.
I can do something like this with iPhoto and my MB Air, but it's kind of ugly to have the computer open in order to connect by Airplay to my Apple TV. I've thought the iPad or iPhone would be a lower profile controller.
Am I out of luck?

Want to make my Ipad 4 into a second monitor

I have an iPad 4 and a macbook pro and I want to connect them and make my ipad a second monitor. I know that I have to download an app but I want to make sure that I get the best/right one.
I also saw that I can connect my ipad to my computer and control my computer from my ipad, so if anyone has experience with either of these things let me know!

If you plan on using your iPad as a semi permanent second display when working at your Mac, if you plan to do this for long periods of time, make sure your iPad is plugged into power.
These remote display apps tend to be more of a drain on the iPad's battery. Especially so if the remote display app uses Bluetooth instead of over WiFi.
I like and use an app called Air Display.
For using your iPad as a remote client to run your Mac remotely, there are a few decent apps for thiis, but it depend so what you really want to do.
I wanted remote control of my Mac, locally, so I use a remote app called SplashTop remote.
If you need remote location control of your Mac, also, there are other apps for that like LogMeIn and Team Viewer to name a few.
