Capture image to edit in PS Touch
Can I scan an image into Touch? Can I print an image from Touch after edit? My photos are 100 years old and do not exist in any cloud. I just need to scan, add a name and date then print in a booklet form for cousins. Seems pretty simple to me.

Android JB. I have the Note phone as well. The note and stylus is my
favorite tool ever. I have just about stoped using paper and pencil. I use
phone note during the day and sync to my tablet at night to continue
planning, making to dos and shopping lists. My nymber one purpose for any
pc/tablet is genealogy. I am a big user of Ancestry.com. The Galaxy lets me
play the Ancestry site like a piano. I cannot tell you how painful a mouse
or touch pad is on a clumsy web check-box page is. (The "go do it button is
ALWAYS off the visible page. Dn arrow 50 times.) But, then I find a key
piece of evidence. Note pen allows me to circle it (wow) and paste it to a
note page (double wow). Now I save it to share and keep a record. Where did
it go? What is it's name. How do I ever find it? Worse, genealogy is a
group effort and I need to email this to 3 friends searchibg the same
person. Just absolutely unable to write an email, paste in the image and
send it. Unable to open an email from the 3 friends and see the record
they want to share. Unable! Worse yet I have photos that are 100 years old
and the available tools to scan, annotate and print is beyond belief. Scan
in Epson, save to wifi box, upload to cloud, down load to tablet using PS
Touch, add name and date, clean up a smudge, save to cloud, download to
Epson, print, pray that the image is worthy or do it all over again. I do
understand that I am using a tablet to do the work of a pc but then there
is that double wow experience of playing Ancestry like a piano and making
instant notes. I have been at this computer stuff since 1981, let myself
get rusty after retirement, but this Android thing reminds me of writing
print driver code back then. Two good things 1 I am convinced that Android
is the future with touch tablets and 2 you are the first and only person to
talk to me- so I have hope. I need the app name for filing and recalling
and the best email. Thank you very much. I can wait on PS Touch to solve
itself but not email and filing. (Need any genealogy help?)

If I touch camera icon, the screen turns black instead of capturing image. Let me know how to troubleshoot?
Try closing the Camera app:
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal the Task Bar
2. Hold down the Camera app for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen
If the above doesn't solve the problem, do a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider -
Capture images (JPEG) from IP-Camera

I have been trying to capture images from an IP-Camera. I understand that this has to be done by using a custom DataSource and I have tried many many example found here on the net, but with no results.
I think I've tried every piece of code found here at this forum regarding this subject.. :/
The best I could do was not getting an error while creating a custom DataSource from a BufferedStream..but the when I try to configure/realize the Processor - created with Manager.createProcessor(customdatasource) - it gives me an error which, I think, has something to do with unrecognized content..
I could post all the examples I tried but I think it would be too much of a confusion so...does anyone have a full working example of code to achieve this? WITH the frame grabber class? plizzzzzzzzz?

EddI felt Captfoss' solution was inspired and so gave it a go. The following builds a video from an ip cam jpg stream using a version of Sun's JpegImagesToMovie.java. It is hacked together quickly and with scope for improvement, but it works, proves the idea, and is a good example.

Is there a way to capture a physical signature from a touch screen PC, tablet, or phone and imbed that directly into an Acrobat fillable form without utilizing other devices or programs?

Please provide the details of the BADI you are using. In general you have to go to the methods in BADI and see which are all the fields associated with that method. In your case you have to search the field which captures the value entered by the user.
You can also check this by putting break point in GET_INSTANCE method of CL_EXITHANDLER class (Through SE24) and check in which field value entered by the user being captured and also you can find out the BADI involved.
Then you can go to SE19 and in the BADI you can find the relevant method.
Then you need to code in the relevant method and use the field which is capturing the value whereever you need.

Why aren't my Lightroom files showing as able to import/edit in Photoshop Touch?

Perhaps this is a stupid questions but I have several photos I have uploaded to Creative Cloud from Lightroom 5.6. I needed to make some minor edits (hopefully using Photoshop Touch) but when I logged into the Creative Cloud in Photoshop Touch, it says i only have 2GB of space and I don't see any of my Lightroom photos. Only the photos I had already been editing in Photoshop Touch. Is the Creative Cloud segregated such that only photos I open in Photoshop will be available to Photoshop Touch via the Creative Cloud?
Thanks,I totally forgot that Lightroom Mobile more-or-less works as an extension of Lightroom for the desktop. Sync'ing in Lightroom Mobile essentially syncs with your Lightroom projects on the desktop.
Still, depending on the file format, you should be able to open an image that was worked on in Lightroom, even if it's in RAW. (PS Touch can work with RAW files but they have to be uploaded to Creative Cloud first; also, RAW file support seems rudimentary; any adjustments made in Lightroom or Camera Raw do not show up in the original RAW file since those are stored separately in either the Camera Raw/Lightroom database or an XMP sidecar file.) -
WDS 2012 Black Screen when trying to capture image
I'm currently having an issue trying to capture windows 8.1 Enterprise image using Server 2012 R2 + WDS for deployment.
All the usual steps have been followed, images added from the install media used to set up the initial machine, DHCP configured and PXEBoot works fine for the deployment image (it loads, I get an ip, can access reminst share) but when I boot in the capture
image I get nothing but a black/blank screen.
Initially when I booted in to the capture image I was receiving an 0xC000000F error but by adding the network driver to the capture image it resolved that issue and it gives the blue windows logo and starts loading but then goes black. I've subsequently
tried to add all available drives for this machine from the HP site but made no difference.
WDS server is a hyper-v VM and the box to be capture is physical, both on the same vlan.
Any one experienced this?I did not find any help with this. I was able to get a native boot.wim and install.wim to work from the installation media (with driver injection - which I must say is way easier in W2K12). However the capture did not and will not work. VERY frustrating!
I wound up doing a WDS basic OS install then I had to manually touch 24 boxes to install the rest of the software (still not quite done after three solid days of work).
Also, I should point out: I am targeting Dell Optiplex 790s. I'm using the PE 5.0 drivers which work fine. i also downloaded the Dell Optiplex 790 driver set and injected those as well, even though they are targeted for Win 7, not Win 8.1.
Interestingly, if I updated the old system bios (A05) to the new (A18) the machine couldn't even contact the WDS server. It was working before at A05 and then completely stopped at A18, requiring me to do a complete full install from installation media.
Way to go Dell! This is why people are switching to Lenovo.

Capture Image from Screen and Yosemite Mail
Composing a new mail message in Yosemite. If use the pull-down option to Capture Image from Screen and place the image in the message body (HTML), the image is not being sent with the message. A broken image icon is sent instead.
If, on the other hand, I use the paperclip to add an image file to the message body all is well. Same if I copy and paste an image into the message body.
In both those cases where it works, I also get the Markup pulldown to edit the image. In the Capture Image from Screen case where it doesn't work I also don't get the Markup pulldown menu and options.
Anyone else seeing this? Is it a known bug with Yosemite or just on my side?I'm actually experiencing the same thing, i asked my officemate and he is also getting the same error when using capture on mac mail

I'm currently trying to capture two different images onto my imaging server using Windows Deployment Services on a Windows Server 2012 Standard, with the latest updates. When booting to PXE and selecting the capture image (which is from Windows 8.1 media)
it crashes into the Windows Boot Manager and gives the status error of 0xc000000f. I've tried reloading the capture image with the same thing, the boot image from just fine for deployment. I've tried capturing from Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 with zero success.
This started occuring once I replaced the boot and capture images with the Windows 8.1 boot.wim.
Any suggestions?Hi，
First I ‘d like to know where did you get the DVD installation media?
If it is a Windows 8.1 update1, please do not use it as a boot image of the deployment, because it contains the PE5.1.
I suggest to use a lower edition PE, PE5.0, that’s to say use another Windows DVD installation to get the boot.wim file.
We will keep track of this issue and report it.

Unable to capture image using MDT 2012
After running my Sysprep and Capture task using MDT 2012, MDT begins to capture the image and makes it all the way to ~94% and then stops and returns several errors. Any idea as to what may be causing this? Below are the errors returned during the capture

Unable to capture images since upgrade to MDT 2013
I recently updated MDT 2012 to MDT 2013 to enable support for Windows 8.1. Under MDT 2012 I was able to both capture and deploy images without an issue. Since upgrading to MDT 2013 I've had nothing but grief. When I launch my Sysprep and Capture task I am
returned with the following error:

My issue appears to be a permissions problem. For troubleshooting purposes I've given Everyone full access to \DeploymentShare$ however the problem continues to persist.
I'm not sure where to go from here. Hoping someone can help.

As a test, boot to WinPE and try to create a file, any file on the share.

WDS capture image on a Windows 2012 R2 server fails with a winload error
Hello,
I have been fighting with this problem for days now. I have to install
30 Win8.1 Pro PC's with WDS. The WDS service is running on a Win2012 R2
server. I added the Win 8.1 Pro boot and install images and created a capture image.
Now when I boot the reference computer I get a Boot Manager message saying that winload.exe is missing or corrupt. The original boot wim works
correctly.I removed and added the WDS role a couple of times, I tried the procedure with a 32 bit Win7 boot image, and that worked, But when I added the capture image created from the original Win8.1 boot.wim, that spoiled both capture images. I tried
the same thing with a Win2012 R2 Standard server after removing and adding the WDS role again, but the capture image generated the same error as above. .I see that since about mid-April many people has the same problem.Different solutions are suggested, but
none of them worked for me. One of them is to mount and unmount the capture image, that didn't help for me.
Any help is appreciated.

GaborDo I understand correctly that if you deploy original wim file to your testPC1 it works all right, but if you deploy an image that you captured on buildPC to testPC1 then you get the winload.exe error ?
Are you formatting (deleting all the partitions) on testPC1 during the
deployment of captured image ? Can you check and confirm if the HDD seting for AHCI or IDE (yes, its still around) is the same option on both stations? -
How can you use one image and edit it three different ways to export later?
I am a new Lightroom 3 user. How can use the same image and edit it multiple ways to produce mulitple images to later export? For example, I have a picture of a bride and groom. I want to use that image and create a color image, a black and white image, and a close up of their hands.
Do I need to do either of those options before I start editing the image at all? For example, what if I am working on the image and doing some creative edits. Then I think of another option that I could do. Is it too late at that time or can I still get the original image to begin with?

Administrator account is disable when deploying windows 7 x64 captured image
I’m using MDT 2012 update 1. I create one deployment share with two task sequence.
The task sequences are: one for windows 7 x86 and the other one is windows 7 x64.
Both are working fine until I try to sysprep and capture with all the windows updates.
Sysprep and capture windows 7 x86 with all windows update work fine. I’m able to deploy the captured image without an error.
My problem is with the windows 7 x64 captured image. I’m able to sysprep and capture the windows7 x64 with all the windows update. Once the capture is completed, I change the .win file in my windows 7 x64 task sequence to point to the new .win file (capture
image with all the windows update). When I deploy windows 7 x64 on a pc, the OS get install but boot up to the sign on screen. The Task sequence does not complete. No error message. Cannot log in as local or domain administrator, account is disable.
Why does it work with my windows 7 x86 image and not with my windows 7 x64 image?
With my windows 7 x86 image the task sequence completed successfully with no error and it logon automatically in windows but not with my windows 7 x64 image.
Both task sequences are the same.

thanksThey should both work, perhaps you missed a step when creating the x64 image.
1. Verify that the Windows 7 x64 image was created cleanly, with no errors. Sysprep ran with no errors.
2. Verify that you created the windows 7 deployment task sequence cleanly. I would do a windiff of the TS.xml and unattend.xml file from both folders in the deployment share.
3. Try running without a domain. Some domain's have a GP set to disable the local administrator account.

I've used iPhoto 4 & 5, and noticed that this useful function in the former was missing in the latter. In version 4, by holding the Cmd/ key, I could use the crosshair to pan across and up and down an enlarged image, which was very useful when editing images at full resolution.
I tried to do the same thing in version 5 and instead called up the adjustment panel. Had no luck with any other key combination, so I guess it has been made obsolete.
Even with the capability of editing in full-screen mode for iPhoto 6, not everyone has a gigantic screen that allows viewing of images at full resolution.
So my question to those using the latest version is, when you choose to view an image in edit mode, and enlarge it, can you pan around in it? Move up and down and across and around to another section of the image without using the irritating scroll bars or having to zoom out?
I also find it counter-intuitive that there is no way to view an image at full resolution easily in iPhoto. They should add a button to do that, next to the enlargement slider.
