Capture in APR
If you do a capture using Apple Pro Res 422 will it detect the difference between 8 & 10 Bit as I need to capture to 8 Bit (coming from D-beta)

Not sure what you mean. If you capture ProRes, it converts whatever format you feed the capture card into 10-bit ProRes. ProRes is ONLY 10-bit. If you want 8-bit, then you need to look at uncompressed 8-bit or DV50. But UC has a much higher data rate, and I'm not sure why you MUST capture as 8-bit. There is no NATIVE capture of that format, so what does it matter?

How to capture the user change in an input field on a selection screen?
I am coding a selection screen in which there are two input fields. The first field takes a Unix directory from the user input. Based on the input value, the second field will be populated with a the name of a file under the corresponding directory.
My question is how I can make the program capture the user input without having to make the user press ENTER after they enter the value in the first field?

Actually you led me to the real solution! It's the function module DYNP_VALUES_READ that does the trick for me. This function enables the program to capture dynamic user changes without recourse to PAI. Please refer to the code below:

Issue regarding bdc for capturing error records

My requirement is to capture the error record and download the error record to a flat file .
I have done recording for MM01 transaction .
I am getting a problem like no error records are downloaded into the flat file .It is downloading only the empty records.

PO Lead Time cannot capture the time taken for shipping!
Dear All
I understand that we have PO lead time = PO Processing Time (Working Day) + Planned Delivery Time (Calendar Day) + GR processing time (working day).
And this PO lead time will be added on top of my PO Creation Date to defer the actual goods availability date.
My question:
1. Planned delivery time is the time taken from vendor place to send out the goods to my warehouse. What if it is overseas purchase where goods leaving vendor's Port will first arrive in my country custom, and it will take 3 days to do clearance. once it is cleared, forwarding agent will delivery goods from my country custom to my warehouse. In this case, how do I capture it in SAP system for the planned delivery time as it has 4 periods of time now
a. Time taken from vendor's port to reach my country's port
b. Time taken for my country custom to do clearing
c. Time taken for forwarding agent to fetch goods from custom to my warehouse
d. Time taken for unpack, take out , count, inspect and put for use (GR processing time)
Do I need to use user Exit?

I think we must use feature on the PO Confirmation Control (CC) Key at PO Item Level:
ED - Estimated Time of Departure from Overseas Port.
EA - Actual Time of Departure from Overseas Port.
EA - Estimated Time of Arrival
AA - Actual Time of Arrival
And the purchaser will maintain the value of each of the CC Key each time they are notified by the vendor.
And we need to come out with a Customised Report to capture those CC dates entered so that finance is able to prepare $ in advance if the moment the EA is maintained, meaning the estimated date of arrival at the Custom there.
But the problem is that PO User Exit is only at the header of Confirmation Control Key but not capture the DATE field we entered for each CC.
That was the problem I last encountered. -
Okay i have a dazzle capture card and i want to use it with a new hdtv but none of the hdtvs
seem to have the right output unless i dont know what its called please help me!The N95 does not have facility for a hardwired audio/video input & the PC capture card likewise have only a audio/video input ports, where one can capture video from a video players, or TV receivers. You wanted to stream a video from PC to the phone, its not possible.

I defined a set of Select-Options in the Web Dynpro. I found that the value for the Select-Options will not be captured whenever I manually type in the value instead of choosing it from F4 Help Drop Down.
However, this problem can be resolved if I manually type in the value for Select-Options in the Selection Field and I press "Enter". Without pressing "Enter" value will not be captured.
Any solution for this issue? Please help.Hi Kris,
My problem is only when the user key in the value themselves rather than choosing it from Select-Options drop down value. Most of the time user will know what value to key in and will skip the step to choose from the Drop Down List. Thus, if this happen, the value keyed in by the user will not be able to capture into the range table.

Capturing errors in trace file
If I intentionally out a error in report and run it through report bulider, the trace file shows proper errors.
But, If I try to run it from command prompt, it produces the trace file but dosen't give error information. I have tried giving TRACEOPT = TRACE_ALL. and all other trace options. Do we have any other way to capture errors in report.?
My reqirement is to log the errors produced in the report to a table, and find out the successful execution of the report.Hi All ,

Kamlesh ChaudharyIf you are configuring Streams environment you dont have to specify the logminer tablespace. So i did not specify it manually when i was setting up my Capture process, and i did not change it later.
Prior the 1280 fatal logminer error i have the following errors:
ORA-00353: log corruption near block string change string time string
ORA-00354: corrupt redo log block header.
I've checked the hard drive, and it it correct.
Any suggestions? -

For our warehouse plants, As per the current process only delivery created, picking done & a VF01 (1 series) invoice was generated.
1] Today we are only taking a goods receipt for the entire quantity,after discharge from the ship, we are not capturing excise. Material is in a custom bonded tank. Hence,it is not done
2] After exbonding (say part quantity) today we are doing a PGI & doing only VF01 to deplete the quantity in the tank till the exbond quantity is complete.
3] As per central sales tax a stock transfer is a sale unless form f is issued.
4] therefore, we now need to
a] bond the material in the system in a separate storage location
b] move material into a exbond storage location & then capture excise based on the exbond bill of entry
c] Create stock transfer invoce (excise invoice) prior dispatch from the tank
So plz guide me how we mapped this scenario in SAP

create 3 Strorage loc
1 port
2 intermidiate warehouse
3 plant locaton
now first step take stock as blocked stock in port location with 103
then transafer that to intermidiate warehose with 325
then last GR with 101
now capture excise with this last movemnet

Cost of materials Issued to be captured against a process order
Dear Gurus,
I Issue Some consumables for cleaning purpose before the start of an order. This consumables are Issued against manual reservations raised by production department. But We want the cost of these consumables to be billed to the process order batch (cost of the product). But I do not want to maintain thses materials in the BOM of the product.
What is the best way to do it.

User T.Code : MB1A and Movement Type : 261 and enter, then enter the production order and below you can enter teh mateirals that are to be issued. Once you post it the cost of the consumables are captured on this production order.
While Creating a Reservation in MB21 your production people can create the reservation against the production order with the materials that are to be issued.

Sqldeveloper capturing null DB during Migration Sysbase 15 to Oracle 11g.
I am doing offline migration from Sybase to Oracle using SQLdeveloper 3.0.02 . I have performed below steps:
1) Create a user (without CREATE ROLE, CREATE USER, DROP ANY SEQUENCE, DROP ANY TABLE, DROP ANY TRIGGER, DROP USER, DROP ANY ROLE, GRANT ANY ROLE privileges due to security reasons I can't have these privileges. This user have all other privileges suggest as per Oracle docs)
2) Create a migration repository
3) Made a connection and associate the migration repository to it.
4) Generate the offline Sybase capture files using sqldeveloper and generate the dat files having Sybase structure.
5) Tool -> migration -> migrate -> following the wizard instructions I start the migration.
Now the message window showing me 1) capturing connections 2) capturing catalogs and then directly migration is successful. Finally there is no error message.
I have checked the migration project navigation window and found that sql developer has captured the null database.
I checked the migration repository tables and found that only MD_CONNECTIONS, MD_CATALOGS and MD_DERIVATIVE tables are populated.
Could you please suggest me why SQL developer captured the null database. ( No Sybase database objects are captured from Sybase15.ocp file)

At that time SQL developer was not able to capture the connection details. The error msg was "Capturing connection failed". So we downloaded the sybase jtds driver and recaptured ocp files from sybase and run the migration again...this time capture connection is successful and capturing of cataloge is successful and after that sql developer can't able to capture any sybase db objects from sybase15.ocp
We going to upgrade sql developer to latest version and will try it again.
