Capturing video and creating an index

How can i handle the capture routine to get the actual recording frame to create a king of index with some data, like:
Frame 1 - "Scene X"
Frame 2 - "Scene Y"
I'm tinking about create a file to associate an "index" and search in the video.
Does someone have another idea?

  • Estimate time to enable all constraints and create all indexes

    Hi,
To prepare a project to export/import for a whole database,
How can I estimate time required to enable all constraints and create all indexes
    * Assume one full table scan per one FK constraint
    * Assume one full table scan plus one sort/merge operation per one index
    * Check it out whether we can use parallel DDL feature to speed up enabling of FK constraints
how can I use core schema (which will be exp/imp) in the production db to get needed metric for the calcualtion?
    thanks
    Jerry

There is no definative way to find the time it takes to enable a constraint / create a Index
It toatally depends on the Size of the table / execution plan / resources available (In terms of CPU and Physical Memory ) /
    Amount of Temporary tablespace

  • Probems playnig captured video and also broadcasting RTP

    Hello,
Ive been fighting with this problem for a few days now. I have an application that capture video from a web cam and broadcasts it over RTP, however I also want to show this video locally on a form using the JMF player. I have the code to use either or but sending RTP and displaying the video will not work at the same time. I'm using a processor for the RTP transmission and creating a player object for local playback. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to clone the DataSource associated with your video capture...
Clone the DataSource, use the original for the RTP transmission and use the clone for a Player object.

  • What is the difference between the drop and create the index and rebuild index ?

    Hi All,
what is the difference between drop and create index & rebuild index ? i think both are same...Please clarify if both are same or any difference...
    Thanks in Advance,
    rup

Both are same. Rebuilding an index drops and re-creates the index.

  • IPad captured video and Final Cut Pro

    hello,
i am editing videos captured with an iPad 2 in FInal Cut Pro 7, but Final Cut is running really slow and rendering becomes impossible when adding a second video track with either video or photoshop files with a transparency for example. There is no Unlimitted RT option available and the process has become very slow.
Is there any way of previewing video and audio without rendering all the time?
    iPad video format is:
    H.264, 1920x1080, FPS 29.95
    Sequence settings:
    1920x1080 - HDTV1080i(16:9)
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square
    Field Dominance: Upper (odd)
    Editing timebase: 29.97
    Compressor: H.264
    Any help apreciated!

Converted videos with MPEG streamclip to Pro ResLT and workflow is a lot smoother now in FCP7.
    thank you David and David.
    much apreciated!

  • Capturing video and store data outside iMovie

    Hi,
I would like to capture video from a Sony video outside iMovie library similar to how I captured video on PC side.  I would like to store the raw movie data outside iMovies and later import them to iMovies later.   How would I do that?
    Thanks,

You can import into iMovie '09, but you need some kind of analog-digital video converter.
    Apple sells this one: http://store.apple.com/us/product/TJ555LL/A
but there are many other devices available. Some with less features are substantially cheaper.
My old Firewire connected camcorders can do this conversion, but not all can, so take a look at your camcorder's manual if you do not already know.
iMovie can take the Firewire output of your converter and capture the import directly to your disk.
The video output quality of VCR tapes will not be as high as digital sources, but, in my experience, you will certainly lose some video quality with iMovie '09. I suggest you test a short segment captured or imported into iMovie '09. If you see video too much degradation, test with FCE. FCE will retain all the quality that your VCR tapes can offer.

  • CAPTURING VIDEO AND AUDIO FROM THE DESKTOP

I AM USING A PAVILION DV 7-6163 WINDOWS 7 OS.
WHEN I CAPTURE VIDEO OF MY DESKTOP, I ALSO CAPTURE ANY NOISE MY MICROPHONE PICKS UP. A COUGH OR SNEEZ. HOW DO I PREVENT THIS?
    THANK YOU,
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Its simple. DONT cough or sneeze when you are capturing video.
The notebook which you have has a digital dual-microphone array which features beam-forming, echo-cancellation, and noise-suppression software support.
Also Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, uninstall IDT Audio drivers , restart the computer and install updated drivers from here and see if that helps.

  • Capture video and get picture

I am trying to create an applet that shows the video from a webCam and then get pictures from that video. (something very similar to the JMStudio). I am able to do the two things separately. But when I try to do it simultaneously I get a conflict between the Player (for the video) and the Processor (for the picture), I mean when I realize one of them, the other stops working.
Any ideas how to solve the problem?
    Thanks in advance

The answer is that you dont need a Processor, you can get the picture directly from the Player. The code needed to get a picture from a player can be found in another topic in this forum called "How to make a snapshot from a movie?" on Jan 3, 2004 7:09 PM.
It worked on W2k, I dont know if it works in Linux.
    Hope this helps

  • Capturing Video and Audio

Hi all. This is my first post in anything to do with Flex or
Flash for please excuse any ignorance.
I wish to allow someone to simply record audio or video from
the flash app in the browser (i see these options when i right
click) and have that data sent to my sever and save as a flash fiel
    to play back later.
It is so common place that i can't imagine there isn't a "no
development required" end to end solution for this where i just
plug the client component into my existing web page.
Anyone have any pointers? I'm just playing around with some
ideas so the cost can't be high, but this is a fairly basic add-on
to flash player that could be done through flex is my thoughts?
    thanks,

  • IWeb '09 and creating an "Index" page for two separate sides of my website

I'm redesigning my website with iWeb '09 seeing that I've recently switched to Mac from being a life-long PC/Windows user. I'm not too web programming savvy so iWeb fits my needs as a very good program that redesigns my site very nicely (and quite inexpensively, as well).
My current incarnation of my website (http://www.jeffreykern.com) was designed by a professional web designer on Dreamweaver for PC a couple of years ago. Some time ago when I was trying to update my PC with XP SP 3 (bad idea as it turned out), my connection to my web hosting service got completely fouled up and I lost the ability to update the site and haven't updated my site since. Knowing that I was going to be switching to Mac (with my new Mac Pro) I never had the desire, or energy, to patch things up to update my site with my PC. Plus, I was in need of a redesign so I eventually got my site ready to go with iWeb 09. That's where I stand right now...
So, as you can see on my current site I have a main index page that splits up into the two sides of my life: the triathlete side and the writer side. I've already redesigned both sides of my site with iWeb, I'm ready to update it thru my web hosting via FTP and Transmit 3, but I cannot find how to create a main "Index" page on iWeb that will let me branch off into two different directions. By having that "Index" page intact I will be able to keep my domain of jeffreykern.com as it currently stands. I don't mind having to get two different domains for each of my two sides of my site but would like to avoid that extra step -- if, at all, possible.
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Jeff

Building three websites on three separate domain files would be my choice.
Its important to realize that you cannot have a page called "index" using iWeb because the associated index.html file will conflict with the one that iWeb creates.
As has been suggested, the first site would be one page. The site name would be jeffreykern.
This site will publish as jeffreykern_files and an index.html file. Inside this folder is another index.html file. This is the one your domain name will be directed at if you don't need an RSS feed.
If your server allows it, create a root folder on it called "jeffreykern" and upload the contents of the local folder to this and ignore the separate index.html file. Note that I said contents and not the folder itself.
A lot of servers require that you upload to a pre existing folder. In this case you will have to upload the index.html file and the jeffreykern _files folder.
The two other sites are named and published as writer and triathlete. The external index files of these two sites are renamed writer.html and triathlete.html.
These two files and their corresponding folders are uploaded to your root folder on the server after adding tags and optimizing.......
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/SearchEngines/SEO.html
Now you have a main (one page) site with two sub sites.
The domain name http://www.jeffreykern.com/ is directed at the index.html file so that when this is entered into the browser, the main page will appear.
The links to the two main sections, whether they be text and/or image, are created and selected as external hyperlinks.
    http://www.jeffreykern.com/triathlete/
    http://www.jeffreykern.com/writer/
Clicking these links will open the first page of their respective sites.
If you do the sensible thing and trash the iWeb default navigation to replace it with a custom one, you can include external hyperlinks to the landing page and the other site in this.
The website - iWeb for Musicians - is created like this and is built on 9 separate domain files for ease of updating and publishing. The whole site is tied together with a Main navigation to get to each section which has a Sub navigation to jump around that section.
    For more on navigation see.....

if these episodes are in flash format, you can convert them
    to video
format and burn dvd easily. i always do in such a way, using
    the
program i have- Flash to Video Encoder PRO (it's on
    geovid.com), it
burns dvd after conversion just in one click!

  • Problem Capturing Video when using A/D converter

I'm reasonably new to Final cut, but not a complete novice.
I have had good success in the past capturing video and also using the log and batch capture feature using a DV tape in my camcorder and having FCP control the camcorder.
Now I tried something that I have done in my past when I was using imovie 06. I have a VHS tape in my VCR connected to my Mac through my camcorder which acts as an A/D converter.
The problem is that when I do a log/capture and capture now, I start my VCR and see the video in the viewer but the capture window says that it can't find a timecode and remains black.
Can someone give me some advise on what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Steve

Thanks for the help.. could you point me in the right direction on where I set this setting? I looked in my Lisa Brenneis FCP6 book and I can't find a 'capture protocol' in the index.
    Thanks,
    Steve.

  • Capturing video using usb webcam in QTPRO

I have a duo core mac mini and QTPRO 7. I am preparing a lecture for teachers to record their demonstrations and lectures and then play them back to students. I am trying to use QTPRO and usb webcam to keep cost down for teachers. I have installed Maccam 8.8 and can recognize and choose usb camera in QTPro. I can even change compression and setting and capture video and audio. The problem comes when I stop the recording in QTPro. The newly created movie opens and then....the spinning ball of death starts to spin and never quits. I try to force quit QT (which isn't responding) but it won't quit. I have to shut down my mini and restart. At which point the movie created can be openned and played and everything is fine, until I try to capture another movie. It works but this is combersome. This is really inconsiderate of Mac, to make it so you can only use firewire cameras, of which I think only the isight is left. Used to be you could plug almost anything into a Mac and it worked. That was something that Made them great. Now well, lets limit the buyers. This problem also occurs on my MacBook Pro.
duo core mac mini   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

If you can afford it, use an iSight camera ( much better quality than most webcams, and AF as well) and Quicktime Broadcaster ( free) to record the video.
If you search you will find a few articles on how to use QTB to record to your HDD. Very good quality in good light.

  • 1 assett (video) and 2 timelines?

Hi, I am wondering. If i import an assett such as a video and create 2 different timelines containing both same video, but with different chaptermarkers. Will each timeline I put the same assett in add to the file size?
What I want to do is I have this video with 100 interviews. When u click PLAY ALL button I want it to just play the timeline, no fuss, even maybe some chapter marks so u can skip trhough forward in time. But I also want a button that takes me to a timeline with the same interview video, but with added chaptermarks that is different totally from my previous timeline I mentioned. Basicly 2 different timelines/sequences containing the same video.
Is this duable? Beacuse its so much footage, I cant afford to add the same assett twice in the dvd or if it adds itself twice due to how many timelines I have.
really need help :) just yes or no will suffice. Need to know this before I start, and I havent a encore version to fiddle with yet and importing large files.

    >Will each timeline I put the same asset in add to the file size?
    Yes.
    >What I want to do is I have this video with 100 interviews.
Keep in mind that a timeline (VTS) can have a maximum of 99 chapter points.
