Casting Process

Hi Gurus,
How to map casting department capacity in the SAP.
Means after pouring the metal in the mold it takes 2 shifts to cool the mold.
After 2 shifts casted component is taken out of the mold. Where can I put 2 shitfs time so that it will get captured in the every production order.
What setting I have to do in customization for this?
Thanks in advance.
RG

Hy Rajiv,
Insert and Operation as Mold Cooling or whatever best suites to your process. And if 2 shifts time is common for all base qty then assign that time to machine set up (SAP_01) or lot size independent or If it is lot size dependent that assiign it to Machine time (SAP_02).It all depends on your SVK parameters , but you can do something like that.

  • PRT selection process.

    Dear Gurus,
    Our clients main production process is casting. In casting process they are using many PRTs. For a given operation there may be many suitable PRTs. But each PRT need to be engaged for a considerable time (some times more than 4 days). Hence assignment of the PRT is required. But for a given material code/routing, there may more than 1 PRT is eligible. Hence I can not assign the PRT in routing. I want to assign the PRT during the creation of production order. My question is ... is there any possibility of interactive selection of PRT is available in SAP. In routing I need to mention that some PRT is required. But the particular PRT I will select only during the order selection. If I missed the selection of PRT during the creation of order, system should not allow me to release the order.
    I think this concept is available in IS-mill. The requirement is there should be some PRT group. Initially in the routing I will assign the PRT group. And while creating the production order or releasing of the production order, I will select a particular PRT from the PRT group based on the availability. This I want to achieve in the standard SAP.
    I am very thankful if anybody give some idea on how this can be achieved.
    Regards,
    Surya.

    Dears,
    If any further clarification is required, please let me know.

  • Netboot Multi Cast Image not working

    After reading through tons of documentation and forums I finally found that you can create (supposedly) a multi cast image in Disk Utility, then use System Image Utility to create a NetBoot image with it and have a multi cast image to deploy though NetBoot. However, it's not working.
    I read if I mounted the image.dmg, then opened DU, Selected the image in DU's side bar, clicked "Image" from the menu bar, then "Scan image for restore..." it would automatically turn it into a multi cast image file. So I did that.
    After the image went through the DU's image scanning process, I used System Image Utility to crate a "NetRestore Image". That process went though successfully, as well. I can see what appears to be the correct files under /Library/NetBoot/NetBootSP0. However, when I NetBoot the computers I want to re-image I see explication points over the NetInstall file and the NetInstall files don't look like the normal NetInstall icons.
    I used the original image before to create a NetBoot image, but didn't do the "Scan image for restore..." and it was successful. But now that I've Scanned the image it won't work.
    Does anyone know how to make it work?
    Did I not do the multi cast process correctly?
    Any tips or walkthroughs you could give would be really appreciated.
    *Please, assume I'm stupid and give clear details of what to do, thank you!*
    Here is what the computer's install options look like:

    Wow...deploystudio is amazing. Always works flawlessly for me and is super customizable. When was the last time you tried it? I think it is a lot easier and def. a lot less frustrating than netrestore which has never worked properly in the past for me. And they also have a dedicated forum for any issues you might have.

  • Basic doubt in Inheritance

            Test foo = (Test)o;
            System.out.println("i = " + Test.i);
    When I compiled this program-1 I got a runime error saying NoClassDefFoundError
    Whereas when I compiled the below program-2 It did not report any error? gave a result of 3
    Program 2

         Foo foo = (Foo)o;
         System.out.println("i = " + foo.i);
    I am not able to understand about the explicit class casting process which took in both programs. Kindly explain if we can cast as in program 2, what could be reason for program one not running.Thanks for taking pain in explaining me.

    java -cp . YourClassNameYou get a NoClassDefFoundError message because the JVM (Java Virtual Machine) can't find your class. The way to remedy this is to ensure that your class is included in the classpath. The example assumes that you are in the same directory as the class you're trying to run.

  • Class cast exception in Process Control

    Hello,
    I am trying to use a SubProcess through a Process Control from a ParentProcess in another Workshop application.
    They are both deployed in the same domain.
    The SubProcess Control is packaged in a Control Project whose jar is imported in the other ParentProcess Workshop application.
    The data that is passed is in form of XML documents described as schemas. And both applications use the same Schema.jar.
    The call from the ParentProcess looks like it is OK.
    But when the reply comes back it looks like the transform fails. I get a "class cast exception"
    The feeling I get is that the returning xml document variable can't be cast into the local xml document variable. Even though they are of the exact same type...
    All help is very much appreciated!!!
    Unhandled Process Exception:
    java.lang.ClassCastException
    at se.telia.object.kund.control.sokKundPControl.clientRequest(Unknown Source)
    at se.telia.tab.regae.process.Untitled.sokKundPctrlClientRequest(Untitled.jpd:101)
    -------------

    I'm having some problems with a transformation and I'm getting a cast exception so maybe it's the same thing.
    The problem is when the source schema has some element with minOccurs="0". If the element is not present in the xml document that is received, the transformation seems to be trying to cast it anyway.

  • How to Cast objects in Process Business Language??

    Hi all
    How can i do Casting in (Process Business Language ) "PBL" (e.g: from Object to Customer) ????
    Thanks

    Suspect I might not be helping much here, but in direct answer to your question - you can cast a Java.Lang.Object to a BPM Object using this syntax in PBL:
    // myObject is a Java.Lang.Object variable
    clientCase as Model.ClientCase = Model.ClientCase(myObject) This will not help you though if you're trying map the attribues in a Java serializable object to a BPM Object's attributes automatically using this technique. If this is what you're trying to do, you'd need to individually set the attributes from the Java.Lang.Object to the corresponding BPM Object attributes.

  • Business Process for Casting Iron industry

    Hi All,
    We are going for a implementation for a casting iron industry... can you please let me know what will be the business process required for such industry.
    Thanking you all in advance
    Rgds
    Toshniwal

    Hi there,
    The BUSINESS process should be determined and explained by the business - this is the purpose of the blueprint.
    In the blueprint phase you will build-up an inventory of all the business processes from your client (AS-IS) you can then map them to SAP processes and these become the TO-BE processes.
    As to perhaps SAP solution, your project manager should know what industry solution (if any) is being implemented.
    I would imagine that for this industry you would implement FI, CO-PA, PP, MM and SD - at least.

  • Class Cast Exception in a custom adapter processing module

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a Custom adapter module in my file adapter as a Local enterprise Bean.
    I have taken the "ConvertCRLFfromToLF" sample given by SAP as a reference, created an EJB module project, and deployed the enterprise archive to the J2EE engine.
    However, i am getting a Class Cast Exception in the Adapter Engine for my communication channel.
    Any help on this will much appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Renjith.

    HI,
    Managed to solve this..this was due to the additional jars which was included by the Developer Studio in the EAR file. We have to remoce the jars from the EAR, change the application.xml and sap_manifest.mf files to give reference to the jars already deployed in the J2EE engine.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Renjith

  • Could not type cast in java embedding

    How can I see the runtime error in java embedding, how to type cast a variable into xml so that I can parse it.

    Hi Arun,
    Could you try using the bpelx:rename extension in an assign activity enables a BPEL process to rename an element through use of XSD type casting.

  • Image Processing and machine vision don't appear in Function Palette

    Hi,
    I have problem and I can't solve it
    Image Processing and machine vision don't appear in Function Palette, Although I set up NI imaq and NI Vision Acquisition Why??
    Anyone can help me?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    If the image is already a Grayscale U8 image you would just have to save it to a bitmap file using the IMAQ WriteFile VI. If not, use the IMAQ Cast Image VI to convert it to a Grayscale U8 and then save it.
    Also, it would probably be better to create a new thread for questions like these.

  • Problem with Cast and table operator

    Hi ,
    Am using Table and cast opertor to fetch the data from a collection using a ref cursor as follows
    OPEN test_cur for
    SELECT first_name, Last_name from table(cast( V_Test_collection as Test_Array));
    This works but when i tried to fetch the date using following query and ref cursor then i received ORA-00604 and ORA 01003.
    I used string containg the query like follows
    V_SQL:= ' SELECT first_name, Last_name from table(cast( V_Test_collection as Test_Array))';
    OPEN test_cur for V_SQL;
    I want to pass this V_SQL variable to another procedure that will use it to apply some business logic.Please help me how to resolve this problem.

    Hi, Current procedure is as follows but as per new requirement i have to pass the processed data from this procedure to a common procedure that accepts the string containing the query(Say IN_QUERY) and applies the business logic by fetching the data from this query(IN_QUERY)
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE GET_USER_INFO_PRC(USER_ID IN NUMBER,
    TEST_CUR OUT COMMOM_PKG.OUT_REF_CUR,
    O_ERROR_CODE OUT NUMBER,
    O_ERROR_LOCATION OUT VARCHAR2,
    O_ERROR_MESSAGE OUT VARCHAR2) IS
    V_TEST_COLLECTION COMMOM_PKG.WI_INS_SEARCH_ARR_OBJ := WI_INS_SEARCH_ARR_OBJ();
    BEGIN
    Some buniess logic is applied on V_Test_collection to fetch the date in this block
    OPEN TEST_CUR FOR
    SELECT FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME

  • Problem with scanning in PS CS6 - scanning process crashes

    Hi.
    Here is my hardware:
       Macbook pro 4 GB DDR3 core i5 with plenty of HD space
       Epson V700 scanner (6400 dpi scanning capability)
    My Software:
       Adobe CS6 trial
    What I want to do:
       Scan a typical photo that is 6 by 6 inches at 6400 dpi as a bitmap, for utmost quality
    What I tried:
       File -> Import -> Images from device -> then selected my scanner, set it to scan at 6400 dpi and save as a bitmap
    My problem:
        When the scanner head is done scanning and the progress bar for scanning the image completes and moves to the next step (presumably writing the image to the file), PS crashes and gives me an error log. It is far too detailed for me. I have no problem scanning images at lower resolutions like 1200 dpi. But this scanner is capable of 6400 dpi and I want to take full advantage of it. I cannot use the scanner software that came with teh scanner because tech support told me the scanner software has a 1.something GB file limit size. They told me 3rd party software like PS should be able to scan unlimited file sizes.
       I suspect the file size migh be too large (16 GB)
    My question:
       Is this a bug in the trial or something? Should PS be able to scan a 6 by 6 inch photo at 6400 dpi and save it as a bitmap?
    Any 1st thoughts? I imagine it would be useful to upload the error log. I can do that if it is ok to do so
    Thanks, your help is appreciated since I would lik eto scan this image at 6400 dpi. If I am given a solution, I will probably buy the full version

    I downloaded and placed the new Mac plugin that PDFerguson was talking about. I also made sure I had the latest drivers from EPson. I have the same problem. I tried a couple of different file formats, like TIFF (at 6400 dpi and billions of colors) and while "reading the TIFF file" it stops and tells me : "Could not complete your request because of a problem parsing the TIFF file.". Just to note, I scan to a new PS document, so it seems like it has scanned the image, but after a certain file size the driver/PS messes up the creation of the file. Then when PS reads that image data that it just made in some temporary location (which I am presuming is an improper image) into a new document (I say this because when PS opens a file it says "reading blah blah"), the parser (JPG, TIFF, etc....) crashes somewhere in the process of reading the file that it just wrote to temporary disk space into a new PS document.
    Because of these facts, I am led to believe that there seems to be some size limit after which PS or whatever is writing the temporarily scanned file where this file becomes corrupt. My suspicion of this as the cause of the problem is made darker from this experience: when I use the Apple OS scanning utility, and scan it at the dpi and color depth at which PS crashes, the apple utility does not crash, but instead produces a corrupt file on my disk. I say it is corrupt becasue the file is all black or white and has no scanned information. Likewise, when PS tries to open up those images, its parser for a particular file type fails, probably because it encounters an error.
    That sounds confusing so here is a diagram:
    Scanner invoked in PS => scans successfully at 6400 dpi and writes image data to scratch disk space (but this data is corrupt) =>PS tries to make a new document by reading this image data like it would open up a file from disk, using the appropriate format parser => because the iage data on scratch disk has been corrupted, the parser crashes as it encounters bad format data.
    When I ask PS to scan into BMP files, I get a vague error, which I presume is becasue the parser for BMP is quite primitive and will cast bad data as pixels anyways?
    From all this experimentation this is what I have concluded. The problem doesnt seem to be with how much RAM I have, or teh scanner driver itself, but the step where the software writes the scanned image data temporarily to disk (and messes up in doing so), causing any further image saving steps to fail, because the parser encounters an exception.
    Any thoughts from the engineers?

  • Help needed in data type casting

    I have a java program which will receive data and its type in the String format. During program execution, the data in the String data has to be converted into the respective data type and assigned to a variable of that data type so that it could be used in the program. Programmer may not know the type of data that the value has to be converted into.
    I really got struck up with this. This is a RMI application and one process node is sending the data to another node in the String format and the type of data it should get converted into so that it can be converted into the respective type and used for computation.
    Can you understand what I am asking for ....if you can pls help and it is highly appreciated

    I dont know whether i ahve expressed it correctly
    look at this code
    dataPacket sendtoNode = send.senDatatoNode(inputReq);
    String recnodnum = sendtoNode.nodeNum;
    String recvarnum = sendtoNode.varNum;
    String recvartype = sendtoNode.dataType;
    String recvalvalue     = sendtoNode.dataVal;
    int num;     int type;
    double result;
    // here in this case the result variable type is double
    if (recvartype.equals("int")){
              type = 1;
         result = Integer.parseInt(recvalvalue); will pose problem
         else
         if (recvartype.equals("double")){
              type = 2;
              result = Double.parseDouble(recvalvalue);
         else
         if(recvartype.equals("float")){
              type =3;
              result = Float.parseFloat(recvalvalue); will pose problem
         else
         if(recvartype.equals("Boolean")){
              if ((recvalvalue.equals("true")) || (recvalvalue.equals("TRUE")))
              type = 4;
              result = Boolean.parseBoolean(recvalvalue); will pose problem
         else
         if(recvartype.equals("char")){
              type = 5;
              result = (char)recvalvalue; will pose problem
    else
    if(recvartype.equals("String")){
         type = 6;
              result = recvalvalue; will pose problem
         else
         if(recvartype.equals("byte")){
              type = 7;
              result = Byte.parseByte(recvalvalue); will pose problem
         else
         if(recvartype.equals("long")){
              type = 8;
              result = Long.parseLong(recvalvalue); will pose problem
         else
         if(recvartype.equals("short")){
              type = 9;
              result = Short.parseShort(recvalvalue); will pose problem
         //forvarval varvalue = new forvarval();
         //varvalue.forvarval(recvartype, recvalvalue);
    // this has to be done after sorting the problem of type casting string result = recvalvalue;
    //result = value; //<this will surely give me a problem as i m assigning string to double>??
    send.host(result);
    System.out.println("result received and the result is " +recvalvalue );
    now i need to assign the converted string in to a variable and use in the compuation ..thts where the challenge n not in teh conversion process...

  • ABAP Objects and table processing (with logical databases)

    I have a report that is written right now using procedural abap and a logical database.  The report is structured follows (high level):
    start-of-selection.
    get pernr.
      perform get_it0001 using wtab.
      perform get_it0002 using wtab.
      perform get_it0003 using wtab.
      append wtab to itab.
    end-of-selection.
      call function 'reuse_alv_grid_display'
        exporting
          i_structure_name       = 'itabstructure'
        tables
          t_outtab               = itab.
    So basically I'm going through a bunch of personnel numbers, getting a few infotypes and outputting to ALV.  I don't see where ABAP Objects is going to help me for this particular program.
    Can somebody show me where OO ABAP would make this easier?  Does it even make sense to use OO when you're processing with a logical database?  (Not just PNP, but any logical database in general).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Lee
    I assume that the routines GET_ITnnnn are written by yourself. For reading infotypes ABAP Objects provides us with same very helpful classes as shown below:
    * define data
      DATA:
        gif_employee      type ref to if_pt_employee,
        go_employee       type ref to cl_pt_employee,
        gt_infotypes      TYPE tim_tmw_itlist_tab,
        go_control        TYPE REF TO if_pt_td_control,
        go_data           TYPE REF TO if_pt_td_base,
        go_pnnnn          TYPE REF TO if_pt_td_itnnnn,
        gt_p0001          TYPE TIM_P0001_TAB,
        gt_p0002          TYPE TIM_P0002_TAB,
        gt_p0003          TYPE TIM_P0003_TAB.
    start-of-selection.
    GET pernr.
    <b>* Create employee instance</b>
      gif_employee = cl_pt_employee=>get_employee( pernr ).
      go_employee ?= gif_employee.
    <b>* Get master infotypes (0001, 0002)</b>
      CALL METHOD go_employee->get_master_data
        EXPORTING
          im_begda = id_fromdate
          im_endda = id_todate
        IMPORTING
    *      EX_I0000 =
          EX_I0001 = gt_p0001
          EX_I0002 = gt_p0002
    *      EX_I0007 =
    *      EX_I0008 =
    <b>* Append all other required infotypes to itab</b>
      APPEND '0003' TO gt_infotypes.
      CALL METHOD go_employee->get_infotypes
        EXPORTING
          i_itlist      = gt_infotypes
          i_fromdate    = id_fromdate  " start date
          i_todate      = id_todate    " end date
    *      I_FILTER      =
          i_noauthcheck = 'X'
        IMPORTING
          e_result      = gt_infty_request
          e_retcd       = gd_retcd.
    * Please see documentation of parameter e_retcd...
      LOOP AT gt_infty_request INTO go_control.
        go_data = go_control->data.  <b>" get data object</b>
    *   Casting
        TRY.
            go_pnnnn ?= go_data.
          CATCH cx_sy_move_cast_error.
            CONTINUE.
        ENDTRY.
    <b>*   Convert infotype (semi-transparent -> transparent)</b>
        CALL METHOD cl_hr_pnnnn_type_cast=>prelp_to_pnnnn
          EXPORTING
            prelp = lo_pnnnn->prelp
          IMPORTING
            pnnnn = gs_p0003.
        APPEND gs_p0027 TO gt_p0003.
      ENDLOOP.
    The class CL_PT_EMPLOYEE provides us already with very easy access to so-called master infotypes (000, 0001, 0002, 0007 and 0008). All other infotypes can be read using method GET_INFOTYPES.
    Using these classes we have a very convenient and standardized way of accessing all kinds of infotypes.

      Uwe
