Catch the keydown event in matrix
Dear all,
In matrix I have 2 cols (Code, FullName). In Col with name 'Code' have formated search to search Employee Code. Now i want to catch the tab key when user leave the col 'Code' I will call a function to get Fullname to assign to col 'FullName'. I tried use formated search for this case but inactive so I must use this solution.
Please help me for this problem.

Hi,
You can trap the Validate event on your form and then filter to check if the item UID is your matrix and the column is your code column. If the ItemChanged property is true then run your code to retrieve the name and populate the other column for the current row.

How to catch the mouse event from the JTable cell of the DefaultCellEditor
Hi, my problem is:
I have a JTable with the cells of DefaultCellEditor(JComboBox) and added the mouse listener to JTable. I can catch the mouse event from any editor cell when this cell didn't be focused. However, when I click the editor to select one JComboBox element, all the mouse events were intercepted by the editor.
So, how can I catch the mouse event in this case? In other word, even if I do the operation over the editor, I also need to catch the cursor position.
Any idea will be highly appreciated!

We have a requirement where in for a list of values(say account number) we have to default a field in DFF to some value. We have created a new form personalization for this under validatation.
Now the issue is whenever the user enters the account number value in the account field, soon after the entry the next field DFF(which is supposed to default accrding to the form personalization) pops up with the old values for the field, till the user saves the form, after saving the form we get the new required value..
Can we catch the dff event so that while DFF poping itself it displays the new values?Hello,

Catch the onClick event on Interactive Report to access columns content
Hi,
I am using Apex 4
I would like to display some rows into an interactive report. I have define a dynamic action on that report in order to catch the Mouse OnClick Event.
The Goal is to display the detail of the row in a form region in the sidebar.
To do this, I would like to get the content of a column of the row clicked and then execute a pl/sql block to get the detail of my row.
I am stuck to get the content of the column I have clicked within the dynamic action to pass it to execute the pl/sql block.
Any idee?

Personas 2.0: How to catch the selection event of a dropdown list?
Hi Personas 2.0 experts,
The use case:
I want to use a text field to show the "key" of an item that can be selected in a dropdown list.
The issue:
After clicking the list and selecting an item, the text field is not automatically updated with the newly selected item content.
Anyone has an idea to how make such an auto update (pls note I don't want to use an extra button to do the update, just by clicking the list only)?

DongTo display the key (the actual value) that's selected in a dropdown, there is a property called ShowKeys which you could set.
However if you'd want to show the selected value in another field upon picking an option, this would require an event associated in Personas 2.0 with the selection of a dropdown value. This is currently not available so I'm afraid what you are looking for is not possible.
Edit: It turns out I was wrong... there is an option (at least it's there in SP3) which allows linking a script button to the dropdown property OnValueChanged, so you can use this to do any script action you need when the user selects a value.

Why do I not catch the FocusLost Event in the JPasswordField

How can i catch the jsp checking event ?
As we know, there are three parameters which is about checking in the weblogic.xml, pageCheckSeconds,*servlet-reload-check-secs*,*resource-reload-check-secs*, but how can i catch the checking event when the webapp is active.
The fellowing is my simple test, i deployed a webapp on a weblogic server instance, and it was actived. I wrote a simple bash shell to try to catch the event, but fail. i througnt it may be dependent on the webapp's stage mode. but i change the mode, and try again, it was fail too.

Whenever I have an issue such as this I fire up the event logger and it will show you exactly which events you can put your hooks into. If you are not using it you should really check it out. Will save you tons of time.

How to catch the IllegalComponentStateException?
I have a JTable which has 3 columns, only the first column is editable. I got the following exception sometimes when I click the mouse on the column to bring up a popupMenu. There is a post on Aug 19 talked about this problem http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=31&thread=308995&tstart=15&trange=15. If jvm can't not catch the mouse event that cause this exception, how do I catch it?

How to receive the custom event in the listening portlet (No backing file)
I have couple of portlets (JPF based). Portlet A is firing an event

But I mis-read your earlier post about catching the custom event and invoking a pageflow action. When you do that, you will lose the custom event's payload (your message), and there is no way to retrieve it from your pageflow action.
The only way you can actually retrieve the event's payload is using a backing file for the portlet, with a method having the signature I mentioned above. You can then set a request attribute with the event's payload and still have it invoke the pageflow action, at which time you could retrieve the request attribute value-- assuming you don't need to run this portlet over WSRP. Over WSRP, the event-handling and pageflow action-invoking lifecycles will happen with independent request objects, so you would need to store the event payload in session to work over WSRP.

Backspace not detected as KeyDown Event
Hi
I'm trying to determine if the back space is pressed on my WPF. And I'm getting no where!
My code (which is the event handler for the KeyDown event for a textbox)
private void CompanyName_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e)
MessageBox.Show(e.Key.ToString());
If I press a number, return (enter), letter or even a function key (F2, F3 etc) it works. But, delete, backspace and spacebar do not cause the event to fire.
Any idea why?

I'm working on scripts for AE, and I am currently trying to find a way to catch an event when the user close the application (so I can execute some code before it closes).
I saw some onClose() functions but I heard they don't work anymore with CS6...

Actually, you don't need to catch the close event.
When After Effects closes, it checks this folder:
Adobe After Effects (your version)/Support Files/Scripts/Shutdown
and runs the scripts present in this folder.
So if you paste your script in the Shutdown folder, it'll be launched on close event.
If you want to launch scripts on Startup, you'll find a Startup folder as well...

Can't catch the matrix row for Deleting Rows
Hi,
I've already read related topics but couldn't solve the problem.
I catch the Delete Row menu event 1293, but then I can't save the deleted row in an array since it's no longer listed as a selected row.
All the matrix rows return
oMatrix.IsRowSelected(i) = False after catching that 1293 event.
Trying BeforeAction True or false didn't solve that problem.
What am I missing ?
Güit sounds like a bug.
here is workaround: in oMatrix-itempress event try to store selected rowIndex in your variable - so, when you catch 1293-menuEvent you'll know which row you should save - it'll be value of your variable.
