CATS billing thru PS | internal Order, WBS, Activity Type

Hi,
I am a HCM consultant, therefore I have zero knowledge in PS/SD.
Currently I am working on a task, where I need to create the bill on the CATS data (Time Sheet Data: HCM). I want to know how the CATS data is transferred to WBS, and how the billing of the same is done in PS the WBS element and Activity Type. I ll be transfering the time data to Internal Order (I dont know how to assign these internal orders to WBS elements) and in Activity type I ll be storing the rates of the activities/tasks. Now on the basis of these Internal type, WBS and Activity type, How can I generate a bill in PS? (We are inactivate in SD module).
A more clear explanation would be better as said, am new to PS..
regards
Tahir

HI Tahir,
wbs and internal order is the object where we can book time via time sheet so clear here when you are booking time in CAT2 transaction then time sheet ask it's receiver object that would be either wbs nor I/O. once you have done this activity, then need to transfer it to object area like PS CS CO HR PayRoll
such transaction path is below in CATS
CAT2
Time Sheet: Maintain Times
CAT2_ISCR
CATS: Maintain Times (Init. Screen)
CAT3
Time Sheet: Display Times
CAT3_ISCR
CATS: Display Times (Initial Screen)
CAT4
CATS: Approve Data
CAT5
Data Transfer CATS -> PS
CAT6
Transfer External -> Time Management
CAT7
CATS: Transfer Data to CO
CAT8
Time Sheet: Document Display
CAT9
Data Transfer CATS -> PM/CS
i m telling you in PS area next take help from SD guys

Sanjeev

  • How to get internal order and activity type other than from BSEG

We want the Internal order and activity type fields. From BSEG, it is taking a long time, and it hangs.
Is there any other table we can get these values from?
    Our query is this:
    select bukrs "Company code
    gjahr "Fiscal year
    belnr "Document no.
    buzei "Document Item no.
    aufnr "Internal order
    lstar "Activity type
    from bseg
    into table gt_add_info
    for all entries in gt_gl_detail
where bukrs = gt_gl_detail-rbukrs"Comcode from G/L acct detail
and buzei = gt_gl_detail-buzei "Doc item no. from G/L acct detail
and belnr = gt_gl_detail-belnr "Doc no. G/L acct detail
    and gjahr = gt_gl_detail-gjahr."Fiscal yea
Can advise please how to make it faster. My internal table (GT_GL_DETAIL) has over 100000 records. ? thanks.

I did a SQL trace, and saw that tables CSLA, CSSL, COKL and COKA are being hit with the values I entered inthe Activity type in transaction FB50.
Still not clear but where it gets stored. If in any of these tables, how do I get the object key?

  • Assign Internal order to activity Type.

    Hello All,
I have a requirement in which i have to find a way to assign Internal order number when a activity type is created. The current setting in KL01 we can assign cost centre categories. Please let me know how a Internal order can be linked to Activity type.
    Thanks & Regards

It is not possible.  There is no such functionality even from functional point of view.
    Check at transaction code OKEI

  • Difference between TECO and CLSD in internal order/WBS

    Hi friends,
Can anyone please tell me what is the difference between These two status TECO[Technically Complete] and CLSD [Closed]  in internal order/WBS  elements.
    Thanks
    Wilson

    Hi,
    Good morning and greetings,
The term TECO stands for Technically Completed and this status is activated to do month end settlements to the IO so that costs accumulated till that point would be compared against the planned cost and would be settled for difference... The TECO status would be revoked after the month end to continue for further collecting of costs and would be settled finally...Once you invoke the status CLSD the system will not allow you to post any more further postings to the internal order.
Please reward points if found useful
    Thanking you
    With kindest regards

    HI,
if we receive material from subcontractor what process we can do...
can you explain your issue exactly what problem you have at your end .
I think you want to take subcontracting material inside which is not in sap system now,it may finished material or it may component. If you don't want to show this material as at vendor now
then you can try movement type 501  or through physical inventory  t-code MI10

  • Internal order to movement type

Is it possible to assign movement types to internal order in FI config?
    Please advice.
Edited by: PS on Aug 7, 2009 7:25 PM

    PS,
You can't assign movement types to internal order in FI. Instead you could configure movement type in MM and  assign a movement type to  a GL account. Then the GL  account (cost element type 1 in CO) is the one that you can default to an internal order.
    Hope this helps.

  • Assign Internal Orders to Update types

I am trying to post my bank fees to multiple internal orders under one Cost Element.  When running t-code TBB1, the draw fees are posted automatically for the respective transactions based on what was entered in t-code FTR_EDIT on the Other Flows tab.  We use the same Cost Element for all our fees and have a default Internal Order set up in OKB9 for that Cost Element for our Cash Management area.  The use of different Internal Orders is needed as the draw fees are associated with the Treasury area.  Is there a way that I set up which internal order will be used dependant on the update type?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Wayne

You ll create Sales order or projects and then transfer them to SD using CATA or Cat7 You ll find lot of docs, It l be more on SD billing side rather CATS.

  • Budget Process (Linked the maintenance Order into Internal Order) in EAM

    Dear Experts,
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM & FICO module live w.e.f. 2007 (PM not live)
Process Managed thru Internal Order (Order Type: RPMT)
Budget managed through Investment Management (IM); Budget is directly entered against the IO using transaction IM52
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM, FICO & PM module live (PM went live in 2010)
It was proposed to assign budget against each Maintenance Order.  Since the number of maintenance orders being used is very high, it was decided to link the MO & IO so that budget will be assigned to the IO and when the MO is settled against the IO, the budget in IO can be deducted accordingly. The proposed process to assign budget in Internal Order against each Maintenance Order are given below-:
1.)     In EAM process one can plan/procure material and External Services only when the Maintenance Order is created & released but practically it has to be planned long before any Maintenance Activity (Maintenance Order to be linked with the estimate so that PO can be created against the estimate).
2.)     The no. of Maintenance Order generated in EAM Module is very large as Maintenance order is created for almost each and every maintenance activity. It is cumbersome to allocate the budget to each and every maintenance order. There should be a single estimate for maintenance activity (as in MM module) and that should be linked to maintenance order so that the actual cost of Indent/Service Entry Sheet can be deducted automatically from the estimate (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
3.)      While doing return Indent the cost of return material is not being added to the maintenance order automatically (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
4.)      If Material & External Services not planned in the maintenance order (estimate), the user must be able to do that through Internal Order (estimate), hence the Internal Order must be link to the Maintenance Order. They should able to record the planned & actual cost in the maintenance Order.
    Process followed:
1.) Created Internal Order in KO01 for Repair & Maintenance Order Type
Assigned budget to Internal Order thru IM52
2.) Created PM order and assigned Internal order against Settlement Order in tab
u2018Locationu2019 and in Settlement Rule with 100%. In this Section attach the Internal
         Order with selection type u2018ORDu2019.
3.) Released both orders and issue the Material for particular Operation and then
determine the Cost for material .After that performed MIGO for consumption of
         materials.
4.) Settled the PM order in KO88.
         Settlement process was successfully saved.
    Problem faced:
After posting the goods movement (against each Maintenance Order) and settlement of the maintenance order against IO, we still find the budget assigned to the IO is not consumed/deducted.
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly
added to the available budget of internal order.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal
order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
    4.  It must not be allowed to create reservation from the internal order of order type
         RPMT.
    5.  In case of external service in the maintenance order, the unit of
measure in the requisition is set to u201CD (days)u201D by default. System does not allow
changing the unit of measure in the requisition (it should allow to change the unit
of measure or set the unit of measure u201CJOBu201D).
6.) When the material is issued from  the store through reservation generated  in
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in Internal Order
(estimate)/Maintenance Order while issuing material from store.
    Thanks & Regards
    Deepak Soni

    Hi,
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
As per the standard system budgeting is done against the actual cost only. And until you settle your order the actual cost from
maint order are not getting transfered to IO. Once they are transfered system is checking for the budget.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly added to the available budget of internal order.
This is similar to first point, when you return goods there will be negative cost on the order, this has to be settled until that system will not compare the IO budget with maintenance order actual cost.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
The budget you have assigned is at IO, how can system will check the budget while issueing goods for maintenance order. We may have to develop or use some user exit over here. Which will trigger checking of budget from the settlement receiver IO for that maintenance order.
I think you may have to go for development. These are my observations from my experience.

  • Internal order assignment at GR of AUC

I have configured Asset under Construction in asset accounting. Investment management is not in the scope, so we
have to cater the requirement through Asset Management and Internal Orders. I have done the following steps
    1) Created a AUC master record
    2) Created an Statistical Internal Order
    3) Activated committment management in internal order
    4) Assigned and activated the budget for that Internal Order
    5) Assigned that Internal order in time-dependent tab in AUC master
    6) Created statistical cost element for AUC G/L accounts under category 90
    7) Allowed entry of internal order in the field status of AUC G/L accounts
After these settings, I have done the following process:
    a) Created purchase requisition with account assignment catedory A and assigned AUC # and Internal Order #.
Committments are getting booked at internal order. Looks fine.
    b) Created purchase order with reference of PR. Committment is transfered from PR to PO at internal order. Looks
    fine.
    c) When I am doing a GR for that AUC with ref to PO, AUC number and internal order # is assigned in GR document. In
the accounting doc, AUC is getting debit and GR/IR account is getting credit. But neither internal order is showing
up in the accounting document nor its updating committments at internal order.
What's missing? How can i get the GR updated to internal order.

    Hi,
For AUC internal order, you need to create a  internal order for real postings. Don't use statistical internal orders.
While creating purchase requisition , select order instead of asset. Enter the GL account also. Raise the production order and procure the material GR.  Here system posts the entries to internal order. At the end of the month settle the internal order values to AUC.
Assign points as way of thanks.
    Thanks
    Dasa

Please help me in this regard...
    Thanks,
    Saisri

    Hi,
Here we are giving internal order in PO with account assignment category 'A'
In case of Account assignment category 'K'  it is showing the Actual values in Report.
Why is it showing Actal /commitment values incase of 'K'  ?
Why it is not showing when we select the 'A' category ?
Please provide me answer about my queries...plz

  • Internal order - any program to reconstruct actual and commitment figures?

If internal order is activated later, is there any program that can update the IO actuals/commitments based on PR / PO / FI documents which are assigned to the respective IO?
I think for commitments, the program is RKANBU01, correct? How about actuals from goods/invoice receipts or FI docs?
    Thanks

for commitment values the report is RKANBU01 (see note 152571 for reference)
For document transfer from FI to CO you can use transaction OKBA
You can also check notes 45122 and 98520 explaining how to
post FI doc.subsequently w/o acct assgnmnt to CO
    hope this will help you

  • Posting to internal order via ME23n - PO

    Hi,
I have set up the releavant budget profiles, linked to the internal order and activated the budget control via KO22 as well.
When posting to the internal order via FI, F-02, I can get the warning message set if I have burst the budget for the internal order. However, when i post to the internal order through PO, there was no warning message display when I saved the PO.
Why is this so ? Can the warning or error messge appears in the MM module when rasing the PO if the order has burst the budget ?
    Please advise
    Angel.

    Hi Angel
    Yes, its possible
    1. Check if Commitment Management is active in your Contr Area in OKKP
    2. Check if Commitment management is active in your int Order type
    3. Specify a cost element in your PO..
