CCMS Monitoring for Average HTTP response time

Hi guys ,
Is it possible to monitor Av. response time for HTTP(this is based on ST03) using CCMS ?
Thanks in advance
George

hi
As per my understanding you tried to view the responsetime comp as same like in sto3 by ccms, the way as below, RZ20-> SAP CCMS montior templates- >Entiresystem-><sid>->application server -><server>R3 services ->  DIalog you can get all the response time as same in the ST03.
else in otherway if you looking for monitoring Java and webdynpro, you can do this by GRMG.chk this for to knw http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/45/4ee37fea5917eae10000000a155369/content.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/45/4ee37fea5917eae10000000a155369/content.htm]
for configuration,[GRMG-config guide|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/106a4d88-2a36-2c10-549b-dc549d00b8b9?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]

  • Average HTTP response time going up week by week as said by SAP

    Hello All,
I was looking into our SRM earlywatch report,SRM is on windows SQL server 2005 with Windows 2003 server
In the performance indicators, there is an interseting trend though nothing is in yellow or red
The values of following parameters : average response time in HTTP task, the maximum no of HTTP steps per hour and the average DB request time in HTTP task  are going up
I understand that as the no of HTTP steps are increasing, the response time is becoming more which is quite obvious.
But how to balance this load out so that the average response time comes down?
what steps should be taken so that I can get this response time to come down though the load on the server is going up
    Rohit

    Hi Rohit,
Is you system in High Avalibity setup? If yes, then try to load the balance on Node A and Node B. If this is already done or if your system is not in high availability then plan and install a Additional application server (Dialog instance) for load sharing.

  • HTTP response time - From any SAP table.

    Hi,
Can we get http response time other than from SMICM u2192 Http log?
Reason for me to ask is we cannot see complete URL in smicm log with response time.
    date - "POST /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects/?sap-contextid=......................................... HTTP/1.1" 200 325894 9555 h[-]
As per sap help link complete URL after contextID is hidden for security reason.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/48/442541e0804bb8e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
u201CFor security reasons the following information is hidden (replaced with points) from the logging procedureu201D
Question: can we access complete URL from any table level with http response time, any input is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Michael,
First of all, thanks for the reply.
In our environment we have cprojects implemented and have lot of webdynpro request to ECC system.
From http log (SMICM) I can see many webdynpro requests with response time above 30 minutes; I want to automate this monitoring by writing a CCMS data supplier. We already have SAP document to write data supplier.
Scenario: For example if they are doing a task in cprojects.
We will be having a GET webdynpro request and then POST. By looking at GET we can know the task user is trying to do. But it is POST request which will be taking most of the response time and POST URL is show u2026(point) after context ID and as per SAP help this is done for security reason.
    HTTP log from SMICMu2026
    [DATE] - "GET /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects?sap-client=clnt&STARTVIEW=Tasks&OBJECT_TYPE=TTO&GUID=GUIDNUMBER
    [DATE] - "GET /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects/~ucfLOADING?sap-contextid=....................
    [DATE] - "POST /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects/?sap-contextid=........................[response time]
I think SAP is displaying as point in http log file, but it should definitely have complete URL is any of the table.
So I am looking If we can find the complete POST URL with response time from table then we can write an ABAP program to send the information to CCMS.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

It doesn't do everything you are looking for, but then in some ways it does more such as monitor performance of jsp, html, sql, and even tracks calls to log4j.

  • CCMS monitoring for Queues(SMQ1/SMQ2)

    Hi,
How do we monitor Queues(SMQ1/SMQ2) in CCMS. My requirement is to monitor Queues(SMQ1/SMQ2) in CCMS based on the Queue name. I want to create different nodes in CCMS and I want queue name falling under certain criteria should come and sit in the respective node of CCMS.
Means queue with name High_priority should come n sit under node say Test1, queue name with medium_priority should come n sit under node say Test2 and queue name with medium_priority should come n sit under node say Test3.
Is it possible to do so.

    Hello,
also for queue monitoring the easier and more flexible way to monitor is via Business Process Monitoring. The configuration is easier than CCMS where you have to use transaction RZ21 and need to transport objects. And the qRFC monitoring is more flexible than in the CCMS. Basically all customers knowing both standard CCMS qRFC monitoring and qRFC monitoring in BPMon chose the later or exchange their existing CCMS monitoring by BPMon.
See also the SDN blog /people/johannes.fleig/blog/2008/06/11/new-business-process-monitoring-functionalities-in-sap-solution-manager-150-qrfc-monitoring
and check out the Interface Monitoring Setup Guide under http://service.sap.com/bpm > Media Library > Technical Information.

  • Average support response time with free support plan

Some time ago I noticed that I have 3 Adobe ID's.
    2 of them are correct
2 of them have products registered to them
1 that has a product registered to it is erroneous: has the wrong country in its registration details
I contacted support and was assisted promptly and accurately. I needed to provide a few more details that I had to take a moment to collect. The support agent opened up a support case where I could later place the missing information.
I informed the support agent that I would be away on holiday for a week. And immediately after I added the information that'd come in in the meantime.
This was 1st of may. All has been silent since then.
I tried to open up a chat to ask what the average response times are for free support plan subscribers, but I no longer get access to the chat... I guess I was probably just lucky the first time.
Anybody here know when (on average) I could expect an update to that support case?

Up to 2 weeks and given the current madness after the CS7/ CC announcment possibly longer.

  • HTTP Response time

    Hi
I try to log the response time for my http request
having enabled it with LogResponseTime Property in service HttpProvider (setting it to true)
(using SAP Web AS Java 2004s SPS10)
in the responses.trc file I see the following output (here is an sample)
    [Nov 1, 2007 1:49:41 PM   ] - 111.111.111.111: POST /webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pb/PageBuilder;jsessionid=..... HTTP/1.1 200 29497 [19140]
Could somebody tell me, which field is related to the reponse time, and which unit is used to measure the time (seconds, milli seconds)...
    Any help is appreciated
    Regards Karin

    Hi Karin,
    The time is in milliseconds:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/52/46f6a089754e3a964a5d932eb9db8b/frameset.htm
I believe it is the value in brackets:
    [19140] = 19 seconds
Does that correspond with the times you observe?

  • Possible loop deadline monitoring for a period of time?

    Hi All,
Here is our scenario.. We have a task sent to the managers inbox with deadline monitoring on it.  If the manager does not action this task, we set this task to obsolete and then we want to send a reminder email every day until the manager performs the required action.
So the problem.. originally this email was to be a task but the loop would not work with the task as it's waiting on action from the user.  We changed this task to an email and it looped as expected however the only way I could think to put a wait for a period of time before another email is sent is by actually counting down the time in a method.
However, the problem with this is that wf-batch is locking the worklfow so it can never complete, even if the event to complete the workflow is triggered.  wf-batch has it locked so the workflow can never complete, so it loops infinitely.
So my question.. is it possible to repeatedly send notifications to a manager at specifically defined time intervals without locking the workflow?
Below is how the workflow currently looks:
Any guidance on this would be most gratefully received!
    Thanks in advance,
    Liz.

    Hi Liz
in your wait step, do not count down the time.
Instead keep the method as a dummy method with no code.
In the wait step, use the deadline monitoring - Requested Start - set it to current date + 1 day
The step will start 1 day after 'today' , execute nothing in Dummy method and then go on to the mail step
I am sure that the deadline monitoring job is running because "Latest End" of the first task is executed in your system. So the same job will take care of Requested Start of the wait step.

  • CCMS monitoring for SAPconnect based on Error Message Numbers

    Hi,
We are trying to use the CCMS monitoring to produce alerts for SAPconnect based specific Error Message Numbers for emails for example, however the monitoring function or data collection method for SAPconnect (BCOMAL_SXDS) does not provide that level of granularity.  Has anybody faced this same problem and can provide a recommendation for this?
    Thanks,
    Javier

    Hello,
You can see the message details in SE91.
In FI, you can control the message number in OBA5. Normally message numbers are issued like this
    AA165
First two digits (alpha) is called application area next digits are called message number.
Sometimes, you may not be able to see the messages in OBA5, in such case you need to go to OBMSG transaction code and include the message number to your application area, then you need to come to back to OBA5 to make it information / warning / switch off / error (as the case may be)

  • CCMS Monitoring for specific tcodes

    Hello All,
Hope someone can help me out. I have a list of tcodes for a daily check which are:
    SM21
    ST22
    SM37
    SM50
    DB02
I have configured CCMS correctly and its working to send out alerts via email but only for ST22. I can't seem to find the right MTE class to use for any of the rest listed above. Does anyone know which class I should be using or point me in the direction of how to include these?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Stephanie

    Hi Faisal,
Here's an approach to answering the question "does CCMS monitor X".  It's not perfect but it will help you find a starting point:
    - think of what you want to monitor, not in terms of transaction codes ("how do I monitor transaction SM13") but in terms of the functionality you want to monitor ("how do I detect failed updates?")
    - in RZ20, open  SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors -->  All Monitoring Contexts.
    - Expand the whole tree with the "Expand all" button.  This will show you the entire tree of everything that is currently monitored in your system
    - do a text search of the tree for useful keywords (for example "Update").  In this case you will find several possibilities including AbapErrorInUpdate, which I think is the one that you want
    - highlight the node and press Properties to get the MTE class, in this case R3AbapErrorInUpdate
There is no exhaustive list anywhere that I can find, that lists every possible thing that CCMS monitors.  But the approach above will catch most scenarios.  You will come up short in a few scenarios where optional monitoring components are not enabled by default (for example, SAPConnect monitors).
Also be forewarned that often CCMS will not monitor exactly what you want, and you'll have to find ways to monitor around the edges of your true intention.  For example, there is no monitor for determining if a background job ran between midnight and 02:00, but you can monitor delay and runtime which can come close to what you want.  Part of the art of CCMS monitoring is finding the right combination of monitors that come closest to achieving your objective.
    Good luck and happy monitoring,
    Jon

  • 23" w/ PC Vista for gaming; 14ns response time??

Hi guys.. I'm planning to get a PC in late March and the stunning 23" LCD caught my attenion while scouting for nice widescreen LCDs. The only problem is, on the spec from Apple site they stated the response time is 14ns, while compared to normal LCDs which has 2-6ns. Just wonder if this would affect my gaming (lag) on the screen?
I'm currently sourcing for mid-range ATI or Nvida cards after reading the forum on certain cards capatibility with the LCD. Looking at ATI x1600xt.
Would appreciate some insights on this. Thanks for taking the time to look at my message.
    Z

Personally if I were running windoze on a peecee I
would not buy an Apple display. True, they are
elegant looking units but there are equally good
displays for less money that would be much more
compatible with your computer. There are just too
many issues like not being able to display the BIOS
screen etc. that I would not want to have to deal
    with.
Hmm.. really appreciate the input mate. Just been to the IT show07 and there was this 23" display at the apple booth... its just sso beautiful. The only LCD that can match the looks is a 22" LG LCD widescreen.
I've made a call to my local support centre eariler and the CR-officer said there won't be any complications with their LCD running on PC Vista.Only thing he mentioned is that the 14ms(compared to normal LCD 4ms) will be the slowing of graphics transfer but is not noticable by naked eye.
hence..... I still believe I will end up getting a 23"....

  • Rules of thumb for acceptable query response times?

Once I read a statement from SAP which said that users typically tolerate
response times up to 7 seconds. So you should strive to achive this goal.
Unfortunately I cannot remember in which document or webpage this
statement was made. Does anybody happen to have a reference for this rule
or any other SAP rules about the BW query response times?
    Regards,
    Mark

Share with us the situations where your query is running slow. How many rows are you returning via SQL Commands?
On reports; the maximum row count being returned and/or the pagination scheme can have impact on performance.
